Animation legend Chuck Jones has a new Flash cartoon series called Timberwolf. It's at the Warner Bros. web site. Here's the link.

The latest installment, "To Beaver or Not to Beaver", is the funniest...especially the rather PG-rated double meaning at the end just before the trees clobber Thomas. The animation is rather reminiscent of Jones' MGM Tom and Jerry work...and the scripts just get better and better. Plus as a nod to his old boss Tex Avery, there's hints of his material in there, esp. in the short where he babysits his nephew and in "A Call to Harms" (cf. "Ventriloquist Cat"). Incidentally, I can't seem to find "You Go, Squirrel Friend", the only Timberwolf short I have yet to see.... :(

You have GOT to admire Chuck Jones.
More than 60 years in animation, and not ONLY is the guy still working, he's still producing GREAT STUFF.
Joe Alaskey is WONDERFUL as Thomas, and I love the fact that they got Riders in the Sky to perform the opening song!

Just like poor Mr. Jones. And Timberwolf turned out to be his last project.
I played the game myself and squashed Timberwolf on my first round, though! :D
