Heh, I wasn't sure if this should go in the comic book board or here. . .
I just got Spider-Man UNO! I've yet to find someone to play it with me, but I'm gonna have to rope someone into it. It's really cool though. It's got Electro 3s and Venom 5s and Dr. Octopus draw 4s. . .
I just wanted to express my geeky happiness. . . sorry for bothering you all. . .

We don't have a card-game forum here so I guess it could work.
Anyyone up for Namor Skip-bo?

In my experience, card game and board game threads have usually gone in the Entertainment Forum, but it really is one of those weird in-between topics so I guess it's up to the Cafe mods if they want to keep it or move it.
Anyway, does Spidey Uno play by standard Uno rules only with Spidey art on the cards, or are the rules changed like in Harry Potter Uno? 'Cause I tried playing Harry Potter Uno with my little brother and hated it-- Uno's such a superbly balanced game, it sucks to have it thrown out of whack with weird cards like "Draw 3." It's against the balance of nature to have to draw three cards instead of two or four. (-:
Speaking of such things, a friend and I have turned Spider-Man Monopoly into a pretty fun drinking game. You wouldn't think Monopoly would make a good drinking game-- too cerebral-- but it's fun because about a third of the way through when the alcohol kicks in everybody stops caring about winning and just start screwing around, buying properties and making deals totally according to whim.
Hmm.. and as far as nerdy card/board game variations go, Lord of the Rings Risk is pretty fun... but not as fun as Risk 2021, the best Risk variation EVER.

It has the same normal UNO rules. I just played last night. . . I haven't played real UNO in like 6 years, but it was fun! :anime:

I find that Uno is more fun with a few house rules. When my friends and I play, if you have the exact same card as someone just played (same color and number or function like Draw 2 / Skip / Reverse) you can jump in out of turn and play it, skipping everyone in between. Makes things a lot more fast-paced, since if the person whose actual turn it is manages to take their turn before you play your duplicate card, it's too late.
And if you play a 2, you get to take two cards from your hand and give them to anyone you want. Makes for longer games, since people tend to gang up on whoever has the smallest hand, but it also lets you screw people who aren't sitting next to you, which is neat.
Also, if someone plays a Draw 2 card on you and you have another Draw 2 card (any color), you can play it to make the person after you draw four, unless THEY have a THIRD Draw 2, in which case they can play it and make the person after them draw SIX, unless THEY have... and so on. Adds a little strategy, since you have to choose between getting the person after you with a Draw 2 and saving it in case the person before you has one.
