Why Hasn't Disney Put Out a Kim Possible Box Set Yet? Yes, I know that there'll probably be Only 65 Episodes, But Considering the Favoritism Disney Show towards her (over Mickey Mouse and pretty much every other Disney Property except Lizzie McGuire and Winnie The Pooh), You'd Think Disney Would Give Kim Possible More than just 3 Bare-bones DVD's.

Disney doesn't believe in real box sets. The best you can hope for is those 3 DVD's in a box like the Spider-Man ones have been lately.

It's incredibly stupid. Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, TaleSpin, Goof Troop, Chip 'n Dale, Gummi Bears and the rest of Disney Afternoon modern classics are leaving Toon Disney in November but Disney shows no signs of getting any of them except Gargoyles on DVD (good for Gargoyles BTW, hopefully it will help this situation). Disney could make a lot of money off of their cartoons but they don't release any... It's incredibly stupid. The same thing could said for other channels / companies but Disney has more than enough resources on their own steam to pull it off but they choose not to.

Yeah, it's really sad. I would buy all of TALESPIN, DUCKTALES, RESCUE RANGERS, and DARKWING DUCK on DVD.

I hope the release of the LIZZIE MCGUIRE box sets paves the way for EVEN STEVENS box sets. :)

Quick rule (most of the time) of thumb...

Adult Fan Base = box set
Kid Fan Base = single disc

Kim Possible probably doesn't (in Disney's mind) have a big enough adult fan base to warrant a Kim Possible box set release.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Kids don't speculate. They don't care about box sets. Sure, they know how to use DVDs, but most people don't learn about box sets 'till at least 12 years old.
Diseny love to piss kids of:gir:Oh, and Disney doesn't piss kids off, they piss you off.

Aside form the Box Sets, Disney Has Put out only 3 Skimpy Kim Possible DVD's, while Lizzie McGuire has not only gotten a crapload of Single disc DVD's, it has gotten a Box Set as well (And then tell me that Kids don't care about box sets)

Lizze McGuire has a teen fan base... a very different distinction when it comes to marketing DVD's.

I'm sure they would, but 8-year-olds aren't the ones making purchasing decisions... and most of the time, parents are more inclined to buy a single, less expensive disc, as opposed to a more expensive box set.

I'd say Kim Possible has as much of a teen fanbase as Lizzie does. If not more, considering its much more likely a teen boy will watch Kim Possible than Lizzie McGuire.

I'm just 14 and I've known that box sets were the ones to get since laserdisc. What makes you think that?

Why give the customers a decent Box Set like Kim Possible when they can force their "delightful" cheapquels on us.

I would buy a Kim Possible Box Set. I would also buy Box Sets of a lot of the other shows Disney has made in the past.

However, it seems like Disney just doesn't care about consumers anymore.
I mean, they just delayed the Ghibli movies again, likely indefinitely if Disney has its way. Every stupid move Disney makes is making people hate the company more and more, but Disney just does not seem to care.
Eventually, Disney will lose all of its loyal consumers, though that will take years since there's always somebody who'll buy something Disney-made.
Disney just needs to learn that it got to be a huge corporation because it cared about the people and what they wanted and that that's the way it should be today. Until then, I'm looking forward to see most of Disney's efforts fail. Cheapquels and plotless movies are not a good way to stay in business.
Sorry for the rant. I'm just sick of Disney and all it's stupid and thoughtless actions. I'm sure some people agree with me.

14 is older than 12.Thanks for taking care of that, and... you're just one of a few 14 year-olds, Silly McGooses, that knew about the laserdisc. I've seen a laserdisc, but I don't know how they work.

yeah something like that. however they are release Lizzie boxsets and possibily 'Even Stevens' in the near future
but both ES and KP fans, like myself, should send disneydvd email requests and phone requests....It may not change their mind but they do put the requests in their computer. So then it proves there is an intrest

i guess i should be one to talk but when it comes to these DVD sets fans CANT expect to sit and see them on the shelves lol, Even Parents could write emails/calls saying "My Child really likes Kim Possible, It would be great to see boxsets.."

No Kim Possible boxsets, huh? Damn. There are so many Disney animated shows that deserve boxsets, like Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin, but Disney doesn't care about the fans, and they're too blind to see that they would be making a lot of money... you know, since all they care about is money anyway. Damn, the Disney name is just being dragged through the mud, isn't it?

Well, there's hope. Gargoyles is getting a boxset, and if the first one sells well, then the rest of the seasons will come out on DVD. I know that if Gargoyles sells well, other Disney shows will get the DVD treatment. So, even if you're not a Gargoyles fan, I urge you to buy it on December 7th, 2004... for the sake of your favorite shows!

Maybe they'll get rid of that stupid 65-episode rule, too. But they won't do that unless they know they'll be making money. Here's hoping...
