Has anyone else heard of this? They are reissuing Pirates with a 3rd disc, of just extras. I mean extras, no new version of the movie. NOt to mention they don't even give it a new real package.
Anyway, what are your thoughts? I don't find it worth buying if you already own the current release.

Ha! That's just odd. Nah, I won't buy it, I've already got the normal version.
Bytheway, PotC: CotBP is my favorite Disney movie. :anime:

I've heard of this too. I'm not going to re-buy it just for a 3rd disc. The movie's great and everything but I haven't even got around to watching the Special Features on disc 2!

Not worth it. Disc 2 pretty much covered everything I'd ever want to know about the movie and the ride. And the 3rd disc doesn't even come in packaging? Com'on, they can do better than this...

Huh.
I thought more people would be happy that they're not doing the standard 'double-dipping'. Noone who's happy with two discs has to buy the third, and nobody who wants the third disc has to buy the first two over again. Seems like the perfect deal.
EDIT: Oh, wait. I thought it was separate, a la Matrix Revisited. Buy it again? Screw that.
Incidentally, I know that a second is being made, and maybe even a third back-to-back, so I'm just going to hold off a few years until the big box set, and borrow it from my friends in the meantime. :)
Wow. That's a bummer to hear about this third "lost" disc. I bought the 2 disc, figuring it would have any extra imaginable, and they pull something like this. I don't know how they expect to make much on this third disc, since it's just like buying it all again, just for one extra disc that they can't even make a good case to hold them all together.

It looks like there is a lot of interesting stuff on there I would enjoy seeing, but I'm not throwing down another 15 bucks to get the same DVDs again plus that disc. I would have bought just the disc, but I can't validate buying the same set again for a third disc. If it was a totally different set I would at least think about it, but this is a "no way" purchase in my book.

Am I the only movie buff out there who isn't interested in knowing every single last detail about how the tiniest things in a movie came to be? Personally, I thought the original DVD had too much information to consume as it was. I'm happy with a trailer, audio commentary, and a making-of featurette.

I'm happy with a trailer, audio commentary, and a making-of featurette.I'm perfectly happy with that too (plus deleted scenes), but if they'll give us more I'll gladly take it. Just not when they present it in a third disc rubber cemented to the back of the original release.
