Yes it has. Next week we'll see if it helps its ratings.
Woo! Futurama was funny, wasn't it?

I just noticed...
The Jetsons are missing a family member.

Is it the daughter? And what is her name? I forgot.
Judy Jetson was eaten by wolves early on.
This is definately one of my favorite episodes of Birdman ever. Non-stop laughs.
One thing I never understood. WHY is there a vaccum INSIDE Spacelab?

Which it is. Horribly bad.

Jesus, Adult Swim. You think you can sell the anime simply on the premise of "IT'S SO JAPANESE AND INSANE, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GOOD GEEZ?"
Welcome to ratings death. Hope you enjoy it.
Poor Knux, they made fun of the thing you liked the most about it.
I'm going to go along with the general consensus and condemn Milk-Chan as well. I apologize for calling it "Aqua Teen Milk Chan," because well, ATHF is actually funny. Something I don't expect Milk-Chan to be.

I MIGHT watch it. It seems kind of lame, but I thought ATHF was stupid, till I got intoxicated and watched it upside down nearly passed out in my dorm, but it turned out to be a hillarious show. I guess I'll give it a chance.
note: I do not, in any way condone drinking.:D

hey buddy! time for super happy brak time fun ratings!
Sunday, October 3rd
ATHF - 785,000
Birdman - 723,000
Family Guy - 722,000

Hmm...seems like their tactic is to make Milk Chan seem so much worse than it actually is that people will think they're kidding and that it's good...or something like that.

At least I sat through the Americanized Dub and gave it a chance...
Well, looks like the audiences are showing up for new ATHF, at least the last few episodes have been more entertaining than the ones from earlier in this season. Birdman beating FG too. Wow, looks like even Birdman reruns can still pack a ratings whallop.

Oh well, that's how they justified the new season of Sealab innit? "So incomprehensibly bad it's art?"
Not sure that's a smart way to launch a show but I don't work in television. Clearly, a special kind of mind is required for selling a show like Super Milk-Chan.

We (Adult Swim) got the unAmericanized dub for Super Milk Chan because:
1)We liked the opening
2)You wouldn't understand the Amercanized version anyway, because its crazy and it's Japanese.
and 3)We didn't like the live action pieces at all.
And...something about dumbasses, but I missed that.

Considering reason #1 they gave and considering that most openings on Adult Swim are cut or shortened, I wonder if the whole card was sarcasm or a joke. (Not to mention that the Americanized version likely actually wouldn't be crazy and Japanese because it is Americanized and also considering that most who have seen say the live action pieces are the saving grace (at least I think I've read more than just Knux commenting on them)).
Edit: Not to mention -
"They said that the Americanized version left out the word dumbass, so they didn't want it."
Is a pretty silly reason as well. I think the card is a joke.

Unfortunately it seems like they know full well what Milk Chan is like, if they know about "you dumbass" and all. I guess there is some staffer at WS that is the 100% King of Otaku Nerds and gets every reference in Milk Chan and pushed them to buy that version.
That's the only reason I can see them liking the opening. Since the original opening is a horribly sung piece of crap whose every shot parodies some 70s anime that noone has ever heard of.
For the record: "You dumbass" is a phrase Milk says often in the original Japanese version and the phrase was only kept in the straight dub (which makes no sense considering all the rest of the cursing that goes on). People mention that this phrase is one of the only amusing moments of the show.

Some one there not only bought an $1,800 Gundam kit, but they also bought an equivelently or higher priced Big O (yes, those 6ft tall things are kits. 1,500 of the Gundam kits were made, though the Big O was probably a bit more limited. Thanks Toyfare Magazine!)
You're wondering *if* there is some there is who'd get every reference? I'd say it's more a matter of who.

IIRC ADV couldn't even get the rights to that music, so OP would be silent anyway. I could be confusing things though.

All the rest of the cursing that goes on in the Japanese version or the American version? I haven't seen the show so I'm not sure what you're saying. Which version has more cursing, the straight dub or the Americanized dub?

Oh, just great. VB got a boost just before the timeslot switch. Now, how would we know if the switch has any effect? Something's fishy here, like WS wants to deflate fans' thunder on a potentially correct clamor. :D

1. But most viewers don't buy $1,800 Gundam kits, or Big O kits that cost more than a home mortgage. No one's gonna get the jokes outside of a few uber-hardcore otaku who probably already watched Milk-Chan fansubs anyway.
2. Someone always finds a way to get the music. Some kind of music anyway.

No, AS has the entire OVA series (aka the series in which Yomiko's the focus and Joker and Wendy aren't jerkasses). Tech TV has the TV series (in which the focus is on three "sisters" who, like Yomiko, have the power to use paper).

I'm glad that rather than maybe, oh, getting things organized to get a good, accessible anime for ASA or Toonami that they could own outright and have custom built for the network, they are getting the song rights for OPs they may or may not air.
Granted, it's just speculation, but it's irksome speculation.
And yeah, I know most viewers don't buy uber-expensive Gundam kits. Unfortunately, most viewers don't seem to be the type of people in charge at WS, now does it? Atleast when it came to Milk-Chan.

Interesting advertising strategy they're going with for these wall-painted ads. As someone pointed out a while back, the Venture Brothers posters they put up lacked details about what Adult Swim was, or where people could see it.
Now, the wall-painted ads have three characters, an "[adult swim]" logo, and "watch it," (at least, that's all I could make out. If there's more, disregard the following). So, they're basically assuming that people are either a). already aware of what Adult Swim is, and is simply reminding them to "watch it," or b). that people will be so curious about it, that they'll try and find out what Adult Swim is on their own. It might not look as cool, but including a time or a channel might go a long way.
Also, they're still including Space Ghost. Mmm.

Me: Good boy. Now, I want you to sit back down and quietly finish that unabridged copy of "My Pet Goat". Afterwards, I'll expect a five-page book report on my desk, first thing tomorow morning. If I like what I see, I might let you start on "Yurtle The Turtle". Understood?

I never noticed this before, but considering "Stimutacs" is one of my favorite episodes, I'm especially glad I finally got the joke.
The whole thing about the Sun God Marduk, son of Ea and slayer of Tiamet, is an actual Mesopotamian legend. Now, Marduk didn't exactly play the guitar or anything, but my World Literature teacher especially liked the reference.
