What with this Kids WB crap. WB stans for Warner Brothers. It should be featuring the Looneytunes, animaniacs, tiny tunes and scoobydoo. WB shows.
The looney tunes is the coolest toon show. Like RoyE disney fighting for classic disney WB need to bring back classic WB the looneytunes. They should make another movie like roger rabbit and looneytunes back in action. It should feature Mickey Mouse/dounald duck and Bugs bunny/ dafy duck going forces to stop the evil force of the board of directors of disney wb to bring back the classic then mickey and bugs going back to the good'all days of competion between wb bugs and disney mickey istead of mickey and abugs fight to save there own companys/ worlds.

I think what needs to be done is a slow and nice mixture of the old and new. Its a great way to integrate shows that are familiar and not known for all ages. Unfortunately, many companies in the children's market aim to meet sales and merchandising demands, therefore new ideas are created and sold globally. Considering audiences' interests in some shows, they have to keep coming out with new ideas or fail to meet expectations.
Kids WB is still Warner Bros.. They have to keep making new shows in order to keep their legacy going. I mean if they stopped in say, 1994, as you suggest, there would be nothing new, and WB animation would have been done. What they're doing now is working with Cartoon Network on co-productions and working on expanding their coverage of new shows. Classic characters that are revisited are a hit or miss situation. For example, Scooby Doo largely is only still around from brand recognition, not comedic stylyings. To bring back characters such as Mickey Mouse (which did have a come back in 2002 with "House of Mouse"), it takes time. Actually they're bringing back some Disney classic characters in the upcoming CGI christmas special [see the Disney forum for more info].
I think your arguement is that nothing has been done in the Looney Tunes style of humor since Animaniacs. I agree. From Tiny Toons to the slow death in Hysteria, the WB's humor slowly became generic. Let's hope they get a breath of fresh air...one day.

Well it depends. Loony Toons and Merry Melodies is slapstick for the most part with sly jokes and wit. That's the formula that works for WB comedy while superheroes work best for their drama. The remake of Duck Dodgers is very good in all that, even if I don't care for the digital inking. And the classic toons never really die out but their popularity cycles. They were very popular in the 90's and'll be so later on but I hope not in CGI or any other 3D medium.

None of the 1990s Warner Bros.cvartoons shows were funny at all.not even using storyboardss the way REN AND STIMPY (whose producers correctly have a problem with ANIM.,etc.) or like the classics The original 1930s-60s shorts should have been revived exclusively instead. Just MO.:)of course.

I'm sure the style will return one day. Eventually, people will look back on it and realize that the cartoons being made don't have any lasting appeal, and they'll get nostalgic for the classics. That's why we got Tiny Toon and Animaniacs in the first place, because at the time the classics were tried and true in terms of popularity. Now we're faced with another problem...the classics aren't dead because viewers liked them less, they're dead because the media owners killed them. Hopefully they'll come to their senses.

I agree with you that Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies have long stood the test of time, and sooner or later they'll be "in" again for a new generation.
Interestingly, I read an article in which the author made a pretty convincing argument that Bugs Bunny was based on the same juvenile power fantasy as Superman or Spiderman--the difference was that where Superman or Spiderman played the theme for melodrama, Bugs Bunny played it for farce.
I do wish WB management would get rid of the idea that they should do all comedy shows or all action shows, and never have a mixture (which I think would strengthen their SatAM ratings in the long run). They actually gave the idea of doing no new cartoons a pretty fair trial in the latter 1960s and 1970s, but some of their comedies once they decided to get back into the game were fairly good: "Tiny Tunes", "Animaniacs", "Freakazoid", and "Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries".

TTA, A!, Histeria, and Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries were all good shows. I'd love it if KidsWB would show the classics on the Saturday Morning lineup. This new generation has to learn to appreciate the classics! They're the best!:)

No, that's wrong. Please try again. Surely, nobody who watched "Tiny Toon Adventures" or "Animaniacs" can deny that they PERFECTLY captured the irreverence of the original "Looney Tunes".
But back on topic, I say it isn't Kids' WB who needs to pay more attention to the "Looney Tunes", it's Cartoon Network. Think about it - four years ago they acquired, quite literally, every single Warner Bros. theatrical cartoon ever made, and they put 'em to good use by airing them on Saturday and Sunday mornings for three hours straight (plus half-hour installments at various times during the week). Then it fell to two hours, then one hour, then one half-hour at a ridiculously early time slot. Now, "Looney Tunes" is totally gone from Cartoon Network's schedule, save for "Baby Looney Tunes", which is such a horrendous atrocity and a watered-down bastardization of the entire concept of "Looney Tunes" that the mere thought of the show make me fight the urge to punch a hole in the nearest wall. "Looney Tunes" are being destroyed. Thank God for the Golden Collections - if it wasn't for Jerry Beck's insisting that these cartoons be restored and put on DVD, I'm sure the next generation would have no idea who Bugs Bunny is.

There is NO WAY Tiny Toons captured the irreverence of the original Looney Tunes. Surely TTA was a very good show and their best episodes were comedy gold, but the show clearly failed when trying to use Looney Tunes humor. Just look at the episodes which are supposed to be "sequels" to the originals, some of the worst episodes of the series.
Looney Tunes are supposed to be adults, Tiny Toons are supposed to be kids, therefore, TTA was better when it came to plots and parodies of their own that fitted the "kids" characters better and Looney Tunes never did. Episodes like "Animaniacs", "Hollywood Plucky" and "Citizen Max" were great because they were FRESH. "Return of Pluck Twacy" sucked because we already have a Daffy Duck original, we don't need a Plucky version of it.
But everyone should agree on the fact that the worst TTA episodes were those that were trying to imitate "preachy" cartoons like Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers and Don Bluth films. Stuff like "Whale Tales" and "Flea for Your Life" should be burned, and then bury the remaining ashes. Hopefully, people will forget those ever existed.

Well, yeah, I'll agree with the fact that "Whale's Tales" and those other preachy episodes sucked (they weren't Warnerian enough), but there were a lot of very good episodes of both TTA and A!.
But I digress.

No, that's wrong. Please try again. Surely, nobody who watched "Tiny Toon Adventures" or "Animaniacs" can deny that they PERFECTLY captured the irreverence of the original "Looney Tunes"..Right. I meant, TOO Much, l,ike the need for too much flatlul;ence on ADULT SWIM REN AND STIMPY's, (or Ralph Bakshi as fireman taking dump), and the characters looked like they were having mini seizurres--hey writers/artists---doiing Tex Averry takes--that's ONE thing but----FREAK OUT poses just for their opn sakes??Sorry..too smug and not subtle enough..and CONSTANTLY r\telling us that they are toons..the ratio of that to the old characters always remakring that they're in toons is too muchh. Avery characters might say that they do this all thru the pciture once and that would b it--they'd occasionally like ion the MGM's, run out of the "frames", or hit a Technicolor ends here sign, but these were scattered to add to it, not a bunch of constant mugging. SDo in short the irreverence thing is just it--thye went overboard---too much of it and wqhen you look at the older shorts, there was a boundary that they stayed, even Avery and Clampett. I mean, when those Gremlin from trhe Kremlin in a wartime short were going after Adolph, t'wasn't Prez Roosevelt that the Greml;ins were harrasing back in World War II!
SHock Value IS irreverent..TOO much compared to the orighinals in short.

I don't know, kid's animation has been changing. When we were all kids we basically got exposed to most children's animation from the '30's and '40's till present. However with orignal kid's animation becoming less and less rooted in Saturday morning, the dawn of anime (which may or may not be a good thing), and the incredible amount of animation (good and bad) that came from the '90's there really isn't a need to show decades old animation or reuse decades old characters. Beyond that we've actually gotten to the point where we have animation with humor that equals that of the golden age Looney Toons.
Personally I think Golden Age toons should be more available to watch for my sake, but I'm nearly an adult and who am I to say what kids should be watching based on my tastes?

Characters ALWAYS every five secs barking that they're "in a program"? RESUS of olkd plots and such? and reuse of a chinese coolie character ina Buster/Babs TTA epsiode after creator Paul Dini said in 1990 that times ahd changed (Bob Miller interview with TTA folks; COMICS SCENE:1990:NEW TOONS ON THE BLOCK)..
And the suits controlling sutff...
Maybe it's just my age..
Only Beavis and Butthead and spinoff Daria do it for me and the earlier Ren and Stimpy.

And if there was then you would see them on TV. Not that everything on Saturday morning or cable is great but the shows are there and as I mentioned there were tons and tons of shows made in the '90's that can be used as filler now-a-days, kids might actually relate to these cartoons a little better then ones made further from our century.
And the suits controlling sutff... Well of course they are. They've always been. And thank God for them, they got money and me and dumb artists I know can take their money.
Maybe it's just my age..Don't see why, I was exposed to a lot of the same cartoons you were when I was a kid or at least the major ones of your childhood.
Only Beavis and Butthead and spinoff Daria do it for me and the earlier Ren and Stimpy.Okay, well BB is good and Daria is for the most part pretty cool if not underwelming. Ren and Stimpy was pretty good, I admit that. But honestly it is not the best cartoon to come from the past fifteen years. I guess you're talking about animation in the past fifteen years, honestly when we count anime then on average animation has been pretty good over the past few years. A lot better than two decades proceeding the '90's. Heavy Metal was pretty awesome though.
