WTF 2 for one day on the terminator buzzer. Boy does this show is starting to suck. The special half hour of snuffing the show Wolf's Rain. ?/10 watching Baby Loony Toons a whole day marathon is better than this. Since I really haven't made up mind on the rating so this is a "special case" .

Woo! Hubb's still halfway okay! I went through this whole episode going, "Man, Hubb's gonna die now," but he didn't! I guess that means I'll get to be a worry-wort all next week, too! Because it's inevitable that everyone's gonna die in this series. But Hubb just seems like such a... non-kill-offable character. And I'm not used to my favorite characters dying. I got worried for a sec when he got hit by that explosion, but he was okay. .... Dammit, I just wanna pull him out of the series right now so at least one likeable character will be saved.

Well, 3 characters down 7 to go. Man Darcia is an a**hole. I couldn't believe that Pops laid down his weapon when Toboe was killed. I guess he realized that the pack didn't kill his village. Well, I guess we'll have to wait to see what twists lie ahead in the next OVA. This was a great episode. The plot moved ahead and the show wasn't boring like everyone said the rest of them were. I give this episode an A+.

I gotta admit, aside from the last few seconds before he was shot, I really admired Quent in this episode.

Really respectable, what he did. He'd rather die with pride as a human, then to enter paradise as a servant of the wolves.

As for Toboe...good riddance...

Damn it, why did Quent have to leave the group like that?! I know he's still hurting from his loss, but why did he have to go?? I was hoping that he'd realize that even though his human family was dead, Blue still loved him, and that he'd join her and the others....come to think about it, when I consider Quent's character, I know I was hoping a false hope, but still...speaking of Quent's family, did the dialogue at the end of the episode mean that Darcia killed them? Damn this show's getting confusing. And of course, poor Toboe! I understand a lot of people don't like his character anyway, but dammit, he didn't have to get shot like that! I almost cried...oh who am I kidding, I was bawling when I saw that! Had I known that in this series OVA would stand for 'The Killing Off of Major Characters in Completely Unneccessary and Non-Sensical Ways Happy Hour,' I might not have watched it! *SIGH* Well, there's two more episodes to the end of the series, and there had better be some sort of vindication for all this...

And here I thought it was going to be a slightly average episode. But after Quent walked off, it just started to suck. And when they ended it in the worst way possible, it just sucked completely.

Actually Tsume and Kiba were still behind where as Toboe and Quent were ahead of them. You also have to remember that the dust storm was still there when we last saw them. Blue and Hige, were a distance off as well. Basically, everyone was seprarted and couldn't see during the storm.

The storm didn't stop until Darcia appeared. The dust stopped bit by bit so, when it stopped where Pops and Toboe were, its departure was still traveling downward to where everyone else were.

Why is there a big wtf movement?

The episode went like this car breaks down, they walk. They settle under a cliff/iceberg. Quent in the meantime doesn't want to go to Paradise so he leaves, Hubb who follows will just get in his way and Quent is just pissed off anyway. Darcia's ship is what made that light, and the subsquent explosion. Quent sees flash backs of the town of Curious being burned and the wolves amoung the wreckage. He sees a Wolf that makes him think of Darcia, so now Quent's rage turns toward Dacria. Darcia does not want a human to be on this 'sacred ground', this will make sense later, so he uses his gun to kill attempt to kill Quent. Toboe, with the dedication to humans he has shown, jumps in front of the bullet to save Quent's life. Quent in a show of compassion runs to see the 'dog' that saved his life. Quent gets shot.

Not too hard to comprehend if you have actually been following the series.

Its just....the way the ep ended....how did you react when you first saw this?

That and us "noobs" who haven't watched the whole series yet, are left out of the fill. What is Darcia really? How is he connected to Paradise? What is his goal and purpose?

That and I am not really liking to watch each character, die or be close to dying while the world itself is thrown to hell.

Its just like real life....and that is not fun.

Isn't that just one of the biggest traits in Japanese animes? They show you the resultant before they show you the problem. When I first saw it I felt sorry for Quent, I expected and to a point hoped that Toboe would go down like this, although he isn't dead yet. At the point when I first watched this episdoe, and had not seen the following episodes explaining, I was not filled with a feeling of 'WTF' it was more of remorse, hence the title. And about all the characters dieing off, what else do you expect from the end of the world? Everyone to live and be happy?

I think I finally figured it out.

AS got the WR OVA's so that they could get viewers introduced to the concept of having their favorite characters die just after something important happens to them, ala FMA.

Due to the randomness, the episode gets a T out of 10.

Better add spoiler boxes for that. YEAH, that's barely anything, but then it won't be quite as shocking when those do happen becuase people will be expecting that.

I never realized how bad things would really get. Besides Grave of the Fireflies this is the second most depressing anime thats not a movie, that I've seen now. I can't believe last week the way Cher died, it was really shocking.

Then Quent almost dying, but being saved and then when he see's everyone with Blue, disowning her was just sad. And he still blames wolves even after Blue told him what really happened. Then what happened near the end was a total debacle. Toboe jumps into one, maybe two bullets then Quent gets his..... Another pretty good, but sad, sad episode.

No, they were talking about Hige.
Hige was the one who joined that old woman's pack and Jagara's troops were able to track him since he had that collar.

As for the owl, someone came up with the theory that the owl is actually someone from the Darcia family.

I was so shocked from the ending of last night's episode. I like Toboe cuz he was so lovable and innocent! Now it seems like Darcia is becoming the main villian instead of Jagura. I was disappointed to see that Quent was shot by Darcia (assuming that was what happened since I'm still hoping Toboe is somehow alive since Hige survived his sword wound by Jagura!) even after surviving through all those previous near-death encounters.

Bah this whole "impending armageddon" thing I think they handled wrong, there's nothing wrong with the concept of "The world is screwed and there's nothing we can do about it" but they just have everything seemingly fall apart story-wise. yes it can be serene with the characters coming to terms with everything, but really most of the action bits just feel a bit tacked on or last minute...

Not only did they kill Toboe, the coolest of the 5 wolves, they killed Quent. *%)&*)_@u#io# THAT WAS JUST PLAIN AWESOME! This just goes to show that Darcia is the biggest badass of the series! I know there was a reason I liked him the moment I saw his design in Newtype.

The show may not be that good, but I'm thinking about buying the last DVD when it comes out just for these 4 episodes.

MY g/f is mad though. Cher and Toboe were her favorite characters. :D

1. What was that giant thing that was destroyed by the explosion from Darcia's ship?

2. Why did Darcia kill Quent's family?

3. Who were Kiba and Tsume talking about when they said "At first I thought he only planned to leave us at Jagara's keep"... and then "he got his memory back"... "We both knew he was hiding something"?

4. If Darcia is "neither man nor beast", then what is he?

5. The writers just spent the entire series demonstrating what a weakling Toboe was. But now he makes a mad rush at Darcia, the biggest bada** of the whole series? Doesn't fit.

6. Did Darcia mean to kill Toboe, or was that an accident?

7. I distinctly remember seeing at least 2 wolves during Quent's flashback. If Darcia was one, who was the other one?

And since she resolved to be with Hige, Toboe had to protect Quent. If he had to sacrifice his life to save Quent's, so be it, even if it wouldn't matter at all.

Seeing Toboe get shot was hilarious. When he got shot, I screamed "PWNED!!!". I've always hated Toboe *gang of fangirls surround me and they have baseball bats, guns, and rabid pandas*. Also, seeing Hubb get cracked in the face made me scream "PWNED!!!"

Scariest part: Cheza "kissing" Quent. It just didn't look right, whether or not Cheza was breathing air into Quent.

During the Jagara arc, just about everyone posting here was with me in the opinion that the show just completely fails to be interesting and there is nothing to make you care about the four main wolves. But now that everybody starts dying, the fans come crawling out of the woodwork!

I do like the extra twist they put on Quent. "I hate wolves because they killed my family!" "But wait, those wolves were innocent, Jagara's troops killed your family while chasing the wolves." "But wait again, one of those wolves was Darcia with his EVIL EYE and even if other wolves are okay I'm still hunting him."

Two episodes and seven characters to go 'til the end.

Okay, I had to rewatch my recording to figure out what a couple of you are talking about. QUENT shot Toboe. He and Darcia pulled out their guns and after Toboe lunges at Darcia, it cuts to a shot of Quent's shotgun firing, not Darcia's gun. I watched it a few times to be sure and would screencap it for you if I were able to. It's clearly Quent's gun, not Darcia's. Since it was one shot and it showed Quent's gun making the shot, I don't believe Darcia even fired. He could've, and I'm sure someone will prove me wrong if he did. In any case, I hereby award Quent with the Worst Timing Ever ribbon of excellence and the Tragic Mistake button of achievement.

The show is going downhill fast. "Kill off all the humans that makes this show interesting", is what the creators were thinking. First Cher, then Quent (by far, the biggest bigot in this series, and also the most interesting one). Don't care about Toboe, though.

It'd be funny if the last person to live was Hubb. I mean, what would he do if he was the last person on earth?

So, to play on the "Who will die next?" game, I pick Tsume, Blue, and Hige.:D

2. Geez, why does anime always do this to tough chicks? First Cagalli. Now Blue, acting so lovey-dovey suddently, when it was obvious that Hige needs her more than she needs him. :p

3. And by abdicating her position and eloping, by oath, Blue gave the burden of taking care of Quent to Toboe. :sad:

4. So, Quent was right after all. And Darcia is that killer wolf with the golden eye? What is he, a man-beast werewolf? Or a plant like Cheza? :shrug:
