I haven't been keeping up with T.V lately, but all the toons on t.v today seem from the 90's and up. sure a few 80's and 70's here and there. but I remember when Nick and Cartoon Network and even Disney played pre-80's cartoons and even black and white. what happened to Looney tunes and Flinstones and such? I know about Boomerang. but kids today look at me surprised. when I tell them I've seen a B&W cartoon on television. and furthermore it's stupid to put these things on Super/Ultimate Cable Channels which most people can't afford. I don't get Boomerang and I have Digital cable. I don't know what Disney's excuse is . besides their corparate problems. but it just seems there's nothing nostagic anymore *sigh*

Exactly what i was thinking about. I wished Bullwinkle,Flintstones,Speed racer,Yogi Bear,Johnny Quest the list can go on. But, I really wished those paticular shows were back on.

For classic Disney, watch House of Mouse. They were smart with that one I must say, have the classics, and newer stuff for the kids, good move Disney!! For CN, Tom and Jerry, 13 Ghosts, A Pup Named is all thats left. Boomernag leaving for DL is unacepptable!!!! Especially when its getting a weekday slot. Nick doesnt air classic stuff.

I a big fan of animation looneytunes, and the other WB shows, and the disney shows vault disney, disney afternoon all the ones that arent around. I'm not to sure about WB. Disney excuse is they and Esiner, and Esiner supporters in power on the board and they feel not enogh people watch those shows. They should be concered about persurving classic true disney thats why we need people like Roy E disney and Stan back in power. As for WB hopfully seens they just created the looneytunes back in action movie that will hopefull lead back to the looneytune "rain":) .

Classic Cartoons has entered the Syndication for One realm. You can now own all the Mickey Mouse cartoons on DVD. You can get all the Goofys. As of next month, you can have over 120 Looney Tunes. You can own Flintstones, Jetsons, Top Cat, Jonny Quest, Bullwinkle and Speed Racer as DVD sets. Soon you'll have the complete MGM Tex Avery's on DVD.

And to be honest, it's better this way especially if you have kids. Think of how many ads aren't bombarding your kid as they watch a cartoon show?

While it stinks that these programs aren't on the 150 channels that Time-Warner has on my cable box, at least they are on a shelf next to my DVD player.

I suggest the DVD's released by Hanna Barbra golden collections. They have Scooby Doo (Seasons 1 and 2), The Flintstones (Seasons 1 and 2), Wacky Races and loads more

Jerry Beck mentioned it was on the slate from Warners - not sure of a due date. And supposedly it'll be complete and uncut, unlike the French DVDs.
