Deka Deka Deka Dekaranger... Judgement time, Dekaranger! Wait... no... we're not getting that.

Once Dr. Tommy Oliver retires once again as a Power Ranger, we skip fifteen years into the future to a Ranger Academy. Led by Chief Anubis, five young adults will become the future generation of Power Rangers: Space Patrol Delta.

(Remember, all of this is preliminary)

Jack Manners, the son of the original Red Ranger (gonna guess the original SPD Red), takes up the legacy as SPD 1 Red Ranger.

Sydney Cole becomes the SPD 5 Pink Ranger.

Schyler Blake is the SPD 2 Blue Ranger.

And for the casted ones...

Matt Austin plays Bridge Carson, SPD 3 Green Ranger.

Monica May plays Elizabeth "Z" Manner, SPD 4 Yellow Ranger.

And John Tui voices Chief Anubis... I'm not gonna reveal his role for those not in the know.

The writers are running out of ideas. First they go back to dinosaurs, now they're space-themed again. Whatever.

Mind you, that is something that is mostly a result from the sentai. Sure, they occassionally can do a major surprise (they took a down-to-Earth mythological series and made it into a space colony searching for a Lost Galaxy...).

And, well... they could take the Dekaranger route and have them Earth-based, but with connections (IE: They're "Space Patrol Delta" sent to Earth) to another place. Time Force was about a time-traveling group of heroes, but they barely ever time traveled (Except for the mech in every episode), Lost Galaxy took half a series to get TO the Lost Galaxy...

You'd be running out of ideas if you working on the same concept for 10 years. At least they're not trying to use the same suits with different zords over and over and over...(Yeah, look at our Metallic Armor! It's like our regular suit, only sprinkled with glitter!)

I'm going to wait till more plot details are shown before casting a final verdict, but I also think they should just over Kamen Rider Ryuki and show that. Cuz remember kids, There can be only one!

Mega Ranger which was adapted into Power Rangers in Space was'nt really space themed like its american counter part. Also Deka Ranger is more Police oriented than it is space.

Cuz remember kids, There can be only one!Masked Rider bombed in America. It bombed so bad, Saban didn't even renew their license for the series, effectively killing a three-episode arc from Power Rangers.

Which is a shame, because unless Disney does it, I'll never get to see those last episodes of Masked Rider that introduced the Rider Corps.

It's been long enough for someone to try again. And considering the success of Ryuki, it would make sense for someone to try.

Monica May's pretty cute. She seems like someone I know from High School...

Matt Austin looks like he should be the Red Ranger instead of the Green Ranger. At least it won't be quite as weird as the Black Ranger from Wild Force.

I must've been one of the few that enjoyed watching Masked Rider. If only that had been a hit, I remeber really enjoying it back when they showed it. Even the crossover thingy.

The casting looks good so far, can't wait to see the rest.

Actually they have to cast half of a ranger before we reach the half way mark, there are 7 rangers for SPD.

Actually, considering Dekaranger's not even over, they could get to the punny deca/10 number of Rangers.

Half of the INITIAL CORE RANGERS.

Alright, figured I'd upgrade the thread with images for people who have no idea what to expect from SPD...

Ahh so this is the thread I missed earlier.
I should point out the Bruce Kalish is in charge of PRSPD. writer of the 70`s Hulk cult classic series. As well as another cult classic Alian Nation and we can`t forget Jett Jackson, Good Times and Mork and Mindy.

I`ve managed to come across some sides{ audistioning scriptlets} for Bridge, if the actual episodes are as clever as the sides are then SPD should be a nicely written season. At least the dialog should be good.

And Monica May has a cute name and ever a cuter face.:anime: I sense a huge closet fanboy audience on the rise.

Well, we know people will be hoping for the Z/Kira crossover.

'though, here's the question... will people be looking forward to it when they realize Kira will be aged 15 years?

Maybe we'll be lucky and this 15 years thing won't happen (we didn't need to skip forward for NinjaStorm or Lightspeed to have their projects going on) and it was a pre-production thing.

Maybe'll they'll time travel?

Have Kira show up, with no fake looking old makeup, and claim this 20-something-year-old is in her 30's-40's and expect us to be stupid?

MOST LIKELY OUTCOME:

They claim they're 15 years in the future, constantly referencing this all the time, yet when the team-up crossover, they conviently forget about it. C'mon, we all know this is going to happen :p

Honestly, yeah. I doubt the 15-years thing will stick, unless Disney plans to never do another crossover.

Lost Galaxy occuring in "the not too distant future" of five months after the United Alliance of Evil's attack...

Yeah, they had the facilities to build a colony ship but not repel an attack, lovely.

Face it, the government in the PR Universe is freakin' oblivious to the problems in it's world. Outside of Operation Lightspeed, they rarely do anything to combat monsters.
