Scorpion's alignment in the good vs. evil battle in Mortal Kombat.

Accordining to the MK websites, Scorpion's alignment lies with neither. Why? Although he is enemies with Sub-Zero (who is on the good side) he is also enemies with Quan Chi (who is on the evil side) because he killed his family. So therefore he's just kinda caught in the middle of the whole thing. So what do you think what is Scorpion trying to do and why does he not align himself with good or evil?

The guy's just out for revenge. He doesn't want to save the world and he doesn't want to conquer it. It just so happens that the guy he's going after is evil. And I wouldn't say he hates Sub-Zero. Now that he knows Sub-Zero didn't kill his family, he just doesn't really care about him anymore.
