The official schedule has listed episode 40 (no title) for October 4th (the day Energon premieres). Most likely it will just be 3 weeks of premieres to finish of season 2 because they can't go past the Fox Box episodes. But it's still great because the Fox Box never got around to rerunning City at War, Rouge in House, etc.

It sounds cool, though I won't be able to watch most of them (you all know why) though. :(

Only up to 51? That seems quite odd... Why not 52?... Meh... whatever. I missed episode 51 on Saturday so I'm happy.

Maybe they'll get 52 once FOX BOX airs it?

New Ninja Turtles on Miguzi, and probably new Energon episodes will air on Miguzi, so I'll actually watch this block for 1/2 of it.

Out of curiosity, what show is Energon bumping out of the line up? I had assumed Ninja Turtles was leaving because the promo said Energon at 6pm, but with this announcment I have to wonder what's going on. Any answers?

While new episodes are always welcome I wish CN would grab the old TMNT. The ratings would be real good. Heck, I bet if they put it on AS Saturday it would be #1.:)

No it wouldn't. Old cartoons don't get good ratings. And old TMNT isn't very "hip" to modern kids. It's relavent to slightly older viewers for nostalgic purposes and I still love it just because I've always found it to be a well written and voiced cartoon (animation varied... as did plot). But for the most part it's all about nostalgia when it comes to OG TMNT.

Adult Swim shouldn't air old kid shows... TMNT should be on TV again though. Maybe on Boomerang or something.

So what I'm getting at is if CN would take away one slot from slot from TS or TT the old TMNT would get superb ratings. And since AS Saturday pretty much sucks in the ratings department CN could give it a trial run on there and I believe it would beat the crap out of Inuyasha, Futurama, and Sealab. Sometimes nostalgia can be a powerful weapon my friend.

Then CN would be bombarded with angry letters from parents. You don't advertise a kid's program during ADULT Swim, no matter how much nostalgia factor there is.

Besides, I think it would get barely above IY. It'd probably do better than the Popeye Show, anyway.

I should have explained it a little bit more. AS would have the Turtles on Sat. but at the same time they could be on Miguzi. Since WS is always doing things out of the ordinary they would make cards that would notify AS viewers but at the same time leaving the kids confused. They could do the ATHF is cancelled style of bumpers for example, "Shake meets the Ninja Turtles next week! You must be confused! Well...so are we. [adult swim]"

What?

What are you...

No. Never. Rocky and Bullwinkle proved that noone wants classic material on Adult Swim except for 15 people. And 80s TMNT isn't "classic" by any stretch of the imagination. There would be no point putting a TV-G show on Adult Swim that has no adult appeal WHATSOEVER, simply because it's "nostalgic". If there was a real market for nostalgia, He-Man 2002 would still be on the air, and GI Joe would not have been a colossal ratings failure. The only reason TMNT 2003 survives is because it separates itself from the original cartoon completely and does not try to invoke any nostalgic vibe.

Putting TMNT on Adult Swim would be like putting All That on Miguzi simply because kids might like that show and then tune into it on Nickelodeon.

I wouldn't say completely. There are several lines which refer to the movies as well as the original series.

What I was getting at was AS is getting beat it the ratings right now with the action shows and they've tried everything BUT bringing in an old-school western action series onto AS Saturdays. Hell, even a stealth run would be nice.

Well the Fox Box just aired episode 52 so why wont CN?

But more importantly... why are they stopping mid next week? They cut out before the big Brawl Part 1.

Getting beat? Beat by what? Even on a crappy night they outperform practically all of basic cable. I don't think they even entertain the idea of an anime grabbing more 18-34 viewers than SNL.

Didn't G.I. Joe get good ratings when CN test ran that late at night a few years back? Maybe if they did that with TMNT, like airing it either before or after AS on weeknights, it might do well enough to get a good timeslot on weekday mornings or during the weekend.
