Before, I continue, I'd like to say that I've long since stopped my music downloading ways. I'm a happy customer of iTunes now. So I can see the whole music pirating thing from both sides.
But the potential of this new Induce Act in the works in Congress scares me.
Here is an article on Wired:http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,1283,65084,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_2
Basically, it goes like this: the act pretty much states that any company or technology that could be used to promote piracy(ie music and movie copying) could be considered illegal. What scares me is that this could apply to anything! Though no one may never use it that way, its seems like a bit too much power to me.
