People have been saying good things about the demo.

Me, I'll probably be happy. Say what you will about him being the creator and all, but I think Inafune dug this series into a complete and utter hole (storywise).

Heh and they Said Sigma was gone for good. But its nice to see vile back. Unfortunitly it looks like the 3d stages will also be making a comback. Those I could do with out. :shrug:

Storywise, the series has been crap since X4.

It's such a shame. The last Megaman game I really, really enjoyed (not counting collector's edtions) was Megaman and Bass. And that was a GBA title.

And the fact that they mention Sigma at all in the trailers cements the fact he's in it, man. ._.; It indicated X8 would be his last appearance, not that he wouldn't appear in it.

Storywise, the series has been crap since X4.
X7 had a decent story, I think, despite the gameplay, and CM's is great.

But Inafune, even back in the days of X4, didn't seem to realize something: ZERO'S NAME IS NOT IN THE TITLE.

The fact that he focused on him instead of the series' real main character, set up these mysteries surrounding everything, and then did NOTHING with them turned me off to his contribution to the series a great deal.

in the first trailor (the only one I've seen) for the game the Villian congratulates X and Zero for finally beating sigma joking that he did'nt know on how many times that made it and Said rest assured he would'nt be coming back this time.

The game does look a tad better then X7 though.....and honestly, I'm going to look forward to playing as Axl again. I think he was a great addition to the cast as "the n00b kid" sterotype.

Also, can anyone tell me how Vile's return in X3 went down. I never got to play X2 or X3....and I'm desperately searching for a copy heh. :p

I'm going by memory.

Vile is serving the villian, Dr. Doppler. In Volt Catfish's stage, there's an elevator you can go down and there's a teleporter. You use it and you go through a small level, and then you fight Vile in his mech.

You looked at the Mega Man Zero series? I found the first two enjoyable and challenging, and the third one's due out October 5th.
