It's buy one and get 50% on green tagged ones but that's not the half of it...literaly..

Some games are just half their regular price alone. King of Fighters 2000/2001 was marked for 30 and at checkout it was only 15. They also have stockades of Final Fantasy origins/chronicals/anthologies. So if there's any older games that you may have missed out on, chances are that they are getting rid of them to make room for new stuff...

so yeah cheap games at Toys R Us.....

This has been going on for a while now. I believe TRU is doing this because they're going out of business.

It's Kids R Us that went out of business,
the TRU thing was just an unfounded rumor

because I found new Energon figures Towline and the one who looks like G1 Wheeljack

The mass of online and print articles seem to say different.

TRU has been having this sell for awhile now I picked up SSX3, Deus Ex: Invisible War, Sphinx, Star Wars: Jedi Academy, and Double Dragon Advance and I didn't pay over $20 for one of the games.

As for TRU going out of bussiness. Nothing is confirmed, but all signs point to yes. The toy business just isn't what it used to be when the majority of us were kids. The toy business has reduced to wrestling figures, Power Rangers, Transformers, Barbi's, and various other dolls. You also have your statue figures which are really for collectors because no kid wants to play with a statue.

I did pick up NHL2K2 and Tennis 2K2 for the Dreamcast at the grand total of $15, which I thought was pretty good. I'm gonna head back soon and clear out the rest of their DC stuff. (Which, is really only made up of a few copies of Shadow Man and a NFL2k1/NBA2k1/WSB2k1 3-pack, and some fishing game.)

I wish some of their GBA stuff was on sale though. ;)

Edit: Maybe I'lll head back sometime this week. Maybe they'll be updating the prices on the GBA games--all the ones I want are pretty much at $29.99 still...I don't have a Cube, XBox, or PS2, or PSX, so...that's pretty much my whole market.

I went to the Pokemon event yesterday though. Hella good time.

Sorry to make you feel wrong...but, well...you're wrong.

Working higher up in TRU, I can tell you it's basically just a 'getting rid of old crap' sale. The information released on the internet clearly states that Babies R Us & Toys R Us are simply splitting apart, so they can both function as their own business(and not rely on one another, like we have in the past.) All of the press releases state that very clearly. It's just that the collector communities jump the gun and shoot their mouths.

There is no intention of TRU closing, and they have massive plans for future years. Pay attention, and you'll come to notice...this 50% off sale is just the start of a plan to clear out old(dated) product, and put new(better) product in its place. Not only that, but once our warehouses are cleared of old things, as well as the stores themselves, TRU will be able to finally be a lot more competitive in their prices(against retailers like Wal-Mart). In the end, this is just a plan to better your lives. Got that?:D

The Green Tag sale I think has something to do with Toy Donations.

Well then someone over at TRU needs to get off their lazy butt and tell the various legit online and print news companies to issue a retraction about the 100-150 stores closing.
