Exactly, you started getting it the third time you watched it! Most people aren't willing to watch a series three times just to get it. Although you don't nececarily have to get something to enjoy it.

Well, some people just don't get some shows. I watched Fooly Cooly a lot but I still never understood it. Actually, I still don't. If some people don't get what's going on in shows right away, some people don't watch it.

I didn't get it at first but I did like it :) eventually through rewatching it and reading peoples thoughts on it I understood and liked it more!

Actually, I think FLCL's one of those shows that you don't have to "get" to like. I've wathed it twice and I still have no idea what half the stuff I saw was, but as long as it kept me laughing, I didn't care! I found out that there's some shows you can analyze and others you should just take as they are.

FLCL symbolizes mankind's place in Humanity under the guise of a coming of age story where crazy s#!t come out of a kids head and an awesome robot kills it.

Freud and Socrates wrote about this phenomenon in their book "When Crazy S#!t Comes Out of a 12-Year-Old's Head."

How exactly does mankind have a place in humanity? They're synonymous, and thus neither can have a place as part of the other. Unless you mean mankind, in terms of the role of males as part of the human race.

FLCL isn't the easiest thing to get, y'know. I don't have any DVDs or anything to watch over so I only have what I saw from [AS] to work off of. I still don't get alot but it helps seeing it 3-4 times in a row, which most people have not.

The power of FLCL is nothing compared to the power of the force.

There really isn't anything TO GET, yeah it may be a bit wierd but the overall story is well told and unsterstandable to even the most paste craving carbon-based life-form.

It's only the name of the series that is up in the air
