As far as the most insane cartoon ever on the network...I would have to say "Cow and Chicken". The Red Guy is pretty freaky, and so are the main characters. What show would get your vote for the most unusual?

IF by CN Original, I'd have to agree with you on Cow and Chicken.

In my opinion it's ether Cow And Chicken, and FLCL. Because both shows have a lot of insane moments in my opinion. And I love the Major Wedgie episode of Cow and Chicken.

PPG man, they are so freaky... big heads... no fingers... incredibly intelligent at age 1-2... those powers...

But the most insane show would be Cow and Chicken. Followed by C:KND and maybe Johnny Bravo.... The Grim Adventures are in that list somewhere too...

Excluding AS, Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

Not including the AS shows, I'd have to say Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy... even though I don't like it.

I'm going for the majority and saying that Cow and Chicken is downright insane. It's Cartoon Network's answer to Ren and Stimpy (not surprisingly the creator of this series did work with John K. on the pilot episode of R&S).

Ed, Edd, and Eddy is insane too, but just the later episodes. The earlier ones seemed tame.

Definitely Cow and Chicken, although you have to add I.M. Weasel along with it... I mean, what other cartoon has a monkey that writes such a bad book that turns everyone that reads it stupid?

Cow and Chicken was most definitely wonderful and kooky, and The Grim Adventures certainly has its insane moments (that musical episode with the brain-eating alien especially comes to mind), but for me the -most- insane cartoon ever to air on CN had to be O Canada. Some of the shorts from that were gloriously bizarre -- there was that one where everyone speaks in one-letter utterences ("E!"), and the one with the teleportation device that cloned you in another location and then killed off the original you, but above all else does anybody remember that one computer-animated one with the guy in what I -think- was a toy shop, singing operatically in French (I think?) and having some sort of nightmare that ended up coming true -- oh, I wish I could remember it better but it was a long time ago; nonetheless I remember being thoroughly creeped out by it but irresistably drawn to it every time it aired...bizarre with a capital BIZ!

I AM WEASEL!

(Okay Weasel's Cool, but IR Babboon? and cameo's by Cow and Chicken's 'Red Guy' really make this show the Freakiest...

After all Weasel, what are you going to do today?

(I'm going to Strap a Time Monkey on my Wrist and Discuss the Meaning of Life with a Naked Mole Rat while saying, "I am Weasel, Do Not Panic, and Have a Cookie, They are Peanut Butter, for you shall all Die!)

Let me join the club in saying it's definetly Cow & Chicken and its sidekick show
turned series spin-off, I.M. Weasel. Had CN let their creator (David Feiss) make
The Lost Cat into a series, I bet it would be just as insane as the previous two.

foster's is pretty crazy right now.

reminds you of ah, real monsters.. but these are friendly monsters. and anything can be in this series, from wandering chicken legs to one-armed basketball players to bird palm trees who can mostly say 'cocoa' yet hold multiple mall jobs with pride and honor. and the designs and style alone.. all done on computers.. is the most unique ever seen on tv. especially when you see them close up or from feet level.

What a Cartoon Show!

I loved how the writers and animators of each short had to put their all into these, because each short was only about 7-8 minutes long. The energy was high, the laughs were frequent, and it even launched future shows for the network.

courage and cow and chicken are super odd. but then ofcourse some shows are probably more odd than courage. i think aqua teem hunger force may be more odd (atleast the characters in it) than courage.

In four very simple words, I can name the MOST inasane cartoon. It is Ed, Edd, n Eddy. This is also my favorite show on CN, and the best cartoon cartoon.

The most insane show EVER is Sealab. That one episode where Quinn got shocked and that whole weird thing happened is totally strange.

I think the funniest thing which was odd was during World Wide Wabbit, where Eduardo is running around telling everyone to "Take off their Clothes!" and Madame Foster did it.. was that really necessary? I guess that this was indeed a bit of Insanity on the part of the writers.. either that or someone slipped a Funny Bunny T-shirt into somene's coffee.....

I'd say Cow and Chicken or Billy & Mandy. I heard they had Fooly Cooly there once, I have that :D That's the most bizarre crud I ever seen!

Actually, Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi is kind of crazy too if you think about how the scenes don't last very long and that they tend to rush it a lot in order to fit a seven-minute episode in there. But that's how I see it.

I'd have to say Cow and Chicken. I would also say that new anime/cartoon show is weird. I don't know the name of it, what's that name of the show, any one know?

Of the non-AS shows, I would have to say that Foster's Home is the most insane. It is great. Of the AS shows, I would pick as of right now, ATHF. It Rawks!!!

100th post! Wow! All the shows mentioned are ones I consider crazy. I think I rememer an episode of O Canada that had something to do with a lawn mower. That was so long ago and so late at night I hardly remember much about it except that it is strange. The Uh Oh episode of Sealab was great. The whole episode was about that strange song.

Cow and Chicken, I.M. Weasel, Dexter's Labratory, and Powerpuff Girls. I'm glad that Atoms and Tartarkovsky have made better cartoons now.

Woah, I had TOTALLY forgotten about that show until just now when I read that post! Yeah, that's probably one of the WEIRDEST cartoons I've ever seen in my life. I remember the teleporting one, and one that was a song about black flies...and one that I think had lumberjacks dancing on logs as they went downstream...

Suddenly, for the first time, I miss that show XD

FLCL, by a LONG shot. And if we're excluding Adult Swim, then I vote Cow & Chicken.

It's ALL about that shiny red devil guy with the flabby butt cheeks.

To this day, I still shake my head at some of the stuff Cow & Chicken got away with (I shake even harder when I take their time slot into account).

Cow and Chicken, FLCL, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Super Milk-Chan, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Billy and Mandy, Sealab 2021, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Teen Titans (at times), I.M. Weasel, Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast...

In short, Cartoon Network has a LOT of weird cartoons.

I wouldn't say they were anywhere near the most insane actually. Some of the plots for the episodes would probably occur in real life! Whereas shows like Billy and Mandy are far too wierd to ever happen.

Grim adventures of B and M

In one episode:

Billy's father announces that he is going to dig his nose. He digs his nose, and finds something in side that strikes his fancy; so plucks it out. It's his brain!!! He licks it a little, likes the taste, and promptly eats it, snapping the vein it was connected to...:ack: Needless to say I'm in hell now because I died laughing so hard!:D

Cow and Chicken most definately...just because it pushed its limits all the time and that included with its weird characters like Red or Boneless Chicken.

Name a CN show that ISN'T insane? :p

There are a ton of programs that are insane. The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Ed, Edd 'n Eddy are the most insane programs on Cartoon Network, in my book.
