Possibly the last appearance of the Mooninites. And really, I wouldn't mind if it was.
The Mooninites are a perfect example of overexposure.
Remember how funny they were the first time they showed up with their quad-laser and moon-swearing?
Now remember how they got less and less funny after every appearance?
At this point, they're not really that funny anymore. But maybe they'll go out with a bang, instead of a whimper.

I liked the Spacecatazz opening. I was thinking that the Mooninites would come out of the Atari.

"He said no, Err...with his foot."
Meh. There have been better episodes, definitely. I was hoping for more of a "Last Starfighter" parody.

This was funny but no more Mooninites. Let them stay far far away from ATHF for a while, probably more than 10 episodes or something. Have some Plutonians instead.

Like Broodwich and Little Brittle, an episode that has a strong start and finish but DEAD AIR in the middle.
Well, considering we're about two weeks off from the allegedly final appearance of Mc Pee Pants (Oh PLEASE let it be true) we'll see as to this being the final Mooninites. God knows, having them in "Remooned" and every "Spacecataz" installment was uh. . .a little overkill. They really work best in small doses, preferrably with a foreigner belt.
I also hope if we have to see "final" appearaces by other recurring villains, the Frat Aliens go away forever. Man, that episode stank.
Anyways, let's get right to the heart of this thing--"Spacecataz" was. . .sorta funny, I guess. I'm getting numb to these. The formula of hacking up a pilot and airing chunks a week apart is. . .not working. This was funnier by virtue of being shorter.
The episode was kinda funny, if only because the stuff with Shake and Meatwad taking advantage of Frylock's predictability was funny, ditto the "Moon Master" game. I'm all about "Last Starfghter" homages.
Once again tho, it all boils down to the Mooninites exploiting Meatwad's cripping idiocy and it kinda slows down after that. The pyramid scheme the Mooninites have wasn't particularly funny and just kinda bogged it down. The laughs ground to a halt after the "craps/crops" thing. Picked up a little when we finally got to see the Gorgatron, but by then it was too late.
Please give the Mooninites a long rest or put them on the shelf forever. Please. The well's long since run dry. C+ for the pre-Mooninites stuff that was actually funny.

First half = Pretty funny.
Second half = Not very funny.
But overall I thought it was...okay. For this season, I liked it. FIGURE THAT ONE OUT

B+, this wasn't that bad
Second straight ATHF where the ending adds big time to the enjoyment of the episode.

I guess my prediction was correct. It was lame. Very lame. The best part of the episode was Spacecattaz. It was boring the whole way through. I didn't laugh once. As previously mentioned, The Mooninites get less funny everytime they are presented. Thank goodness this is the last episode of them for a while, or ever. I would rate this one below any other episode of ATHF. I have never given an episode of ATHF an F, but IMO this one warrants it.

I thought it was a pretty good episode, most of the first half had me in stitiches, while the second was a drop in quality, but still fairly funny. But yeah, I think the Mooninites should go away for awhile now. Maybe bring them back in a couple years after they've gotten some well deserved rest.

This is the worst stuff since the first half of the last season of Sealab.
Meh. I'm glad this is the last Mooninite episode. They've been used to death and should never have been used after the second appearance. Anymore episodes, besides Spacecataz, would just kill them.
The episode itself wasn't too bad, but I would think that Carl would be too cautios with Shake around to fall for anymore stupid ideas. Add in the slow pace, and it was pretty mediocore.

The episode wasn't that bad, it just couldn't live up to the high standards we set for ATHF. The end was pretty funny, the begining was funny, but the middle had a few to zero laughs. The mooninites NEED to be rested.
B-not as good as E-dork or Robositter of the new episodes.

This wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, but that's about the best compliment I can give it. And considering I was thinking it was going to be dreadful, that's really not much of a compliment at all. Let's hope "Final Mooning" is an accurate title, because this is getting ridiculous (2 out of 6 episodes feature the Mooninites? C'mon now...).
The beginning was actually pretty good, and had some of the best parts of the season. Shake and Meatwad seemed to get back into their roles, which allowed for the great interaction that makes the show work. And Moon Master was a good example of the show's non-character humor. All was going so well...
And then the Mooninites show up and drag the show to a screeching halt. They have no appeal anymore, as we've seen everything they have to bring to the show. Multiple times. When the characters were new, they made for some of the best episodes of the series. But like SNL working in a catchphrase skit for months on end, the Mooninites were overexposed and used when they really shouldn't have been. I really think that if this episode and Remooning were rewritten to work without the Mooninites, the episodes would have been far better.
Characters like the Mooninites or the latest incarnation of MC Pee Pants make the show boring, and as I've said before, that's the last thing a short, oddball show like ATHF should be.

I liked this episode, although I have to agree that the Mooninites need to be used far less in this show.
And, for the love of crap, it's "Spacecataz." Not "Spacecatraz" or "Spacecattaz" or whatever other spelling. (Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.:p )

SPACECATAZZ. It's SPACECATAZZ.
Eh, it was decent at best. Shake's "new game", the Moon-Master game itself, and Carl with the Moonmaster wear were about the only redeeming parts of this ep. Other than that, it's just TIRED. WORN and TIRED. Jesus, GIVE THE MOONINITES A REST, already! C'mon!

Playin the grammar police. Fun fun.
Nah, it really wasn't as bad as everyone's saying, it wasn't the worst episode, it just wasn't great. I liked it, and the Mooninites might have dragged it on a bit but it wasn't a bad episode.

This is my new favorite episode. I love the Mooninites, they are the best characture on ATHF.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but it was awesome until the Mooninites showed up. Shake and Meatwad messing with Frylock was funny, but then Ignignokt and Err really slowed things down. The ending was great though.

Once again, in the minority saying I liked it. I just get in the groove of the show and find plenty to laugh at. Not all 'lol', but chuckles are fine with me. I just don't get into critical grinds like so many messageboard/newsgroup critics do, to the point of cliche. The "the Mooninites are overplayed; not funny anymore; getting tiresome" thing is, itself, getting tiresome.
I'm in full agreement that Spacecawhatever (Spacecapotrzebie? Spaceamarazzamatazz? ;) ) was a bad idea, and no substitute for Dr. Evil. And this week's was peurile, besides.
Anyway, you can have high expectations and still not go "meh" (generally speaking. The actual word is really common in messageboard/newsgroup criticism) at a perfectly funny show.
Of course, I can't wait for the ATHF that's so funny nobody pans it. That'll be one halarious episode :)

The "the Mooninites are overplayed; not funny anymore; getting tiresome" thing is, itself, getting tiresome.People wouldn't keep mentioning it if they didn't keep bringing them back. If people felt that way a few weeks back, they're going to feel it even more strongly now, whether the complaint is "tired" or not. Besides, just because a criticism is made a lot doesn't make it invalid. In fact, it seems to make it all the more valid.
Of course, I can't wait for the ATHF that's so funny nobody pans it. That'll be one halarious episode There have been plenty of those. We just don't see them too much anymore.

I agree. I find funny parts in many shows. There aren't many that I absolutely don't like.

Agreed.

Again, I agree. Not all the shows make me laugh out loud for the whole time, but I still don't "meh" at all of them.

Am I wrong or did Irr say "Oh, s***" at the end when they see the guy from the video game?
Did anyone catch this or is it not that big a deal since Moltar said it?

The closed captioning also reads "OH SH--."

Yeah, that was done intentionally to sound like that bad word those preschoolers say these days. They talk about it on one of the episode commentaries on the Volume 1 DVD.
I never did end up seeing the Spacecataz opening for this episode, sounds like it was better than the last one. I liked this episode a lot more than I did with the Robo sitter one from last week where I only laughed at Frylocks liquified punchline at the end of that episode. Like i stated earlier, I really thought this was overall much funnier, I found myself really enjoying several moments.
Like when Carl is revealed to be a moon master as well, and they all try to get Frylock to buy from them. And than that ending with Err throwing in the keychain for that badguy (who's name I can't recall), only to get stepped on and have that punch line. lol.
"Mooninites: Final Mooning" gets a B+.

Spacecataz: Oglethope is obivious to who the graffitti is poiting to.
Highlights: Shake made up games, the Moon Master game itself, the Mooninites' fake story, Meatwad as a Moon Master, Meatwad using the melting amulet(Sha na na, Sha na na. Get a job.), Shake & Carl as Moon Masters, the whole naked man joke, the Gorgatron, "He said no Err...with his foot."
Grade: :moon::moon::moon::moon::moon:

This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but they could have done a lot more with a parody of "The last starfighter". The Mooninites, if completely let go, might have provided more laughs. I'm content to let them take a LONG rest, though.
