Hardcover sketchbooks suck to scan.

Seriously! You have to press down or else the page is all bendy and screwed up, there's odd shadows.

Plus after you play around with brightness/contrast, sketches look really scratchy.

Anyway!

I really like the fairies. BTW, just if you wanna know, there's a girl in my class named Kayla who looks EXACTLY like your character! Did you do that on purpose? :p

Wow these are great!

I see such potential and energy in these sketches that I'm sorta envious.

Your 'life study' sketches are good. The poses feel natural. My suggestion is to keep up with these style of sketches, drawning from life, it's helpful later on in making your drawings feel real.

The fairys are cute. Love the top one flying.

Kayla is a strong, self-willed character and I get that from just these two quick sketches of yours. Action poses are always hard to do, I am still struggling with them, but your're got the method down. Just remember your centerline and where the gravity of the character is and you'll do great.

btw - can anybody else draw Kayla? She is a striking character.

I eagerly await more. :)

We've always enjoyed your work... I'm starting to run out of new ways to compliment them!

So what kind of plans do you have for Kayla, or is she just a recurring theme in your sketches?

Kayla was originally a Cybersix fan character, but her style has since "evolved" from the show's style into something more of my own.

Her webpage is here (http://www.angelfire.com/vt/338) . It's kind of old, and done before I had more knowledge of HTML. You can also see my crappy drawings from last year! Ugh.

She's got a few stories, one animated gif, even had her brief profile copied and pasted onto a Singaporean TV station's website who thought that she was Cybersix!

Her current status is "resurrected a second time, lost all her memories" :p
