Erm...well, hi. This is my first ever fan fic, which involves a lot of old characters and some new ones as well. Consructive critism would be appreciated greatly! Many thanks to those who have written TT fanfics that were fantastic!
Chapter 1- Search
There are many reasons I keep a diary, none of which I wish to disclose. However, if you have read my earlier entries, you will find that the main reason I keep a diary is so I can record all the events that changed my life. Like when I witnessed my neighbor’s murder, like when I was put under protection (and some protection that was…), like when Alpha… I can’t even put it in writing, for what he did was something I will never forgive him for.
Because of him, I am alone, with nothing but my belongings, inventions, and Zorro, my only companion. My family is dead, my father, well, who knows what happened to him after he left us, is gone, and I should be dead or gone, with everyone else.
But I am not. I was fortunate, unlike the others. I remember their screams of pain. I did what I could to save them, which was not enough. I was too weak, then. Not now. I could save anyone I wanted to. Even if I had to use my ‘full potential’, which I hate and could live without.
Actually, now that I think about it, I do not know if I am alone. I do not know what happened to Robin and Bruce after the fire. I suspect if Alpha has not gotten them, they are fighting, or if Bruce has passed away, Robin, my best and truest friend, is. He was the best friend a person like me could have. Like me. I hate those words.
Tonight I will travel through my series of underground tunnels to reach Jump City (and I will not accidentally go to that island with the T again!) to find Alpha. Jump City is my last bet, so I will vigorously search by night. Also, if he is alive, I hope to find Robin, somehow, somewhere. He has to know how dangerous Alpha is and what really happened. If he doesn’t know… well, the result will not be good.
Now I must leave, dawn is coming.
The following segment of time is six years ago
“You are sure no bodies were recovered,” I asked for the fifth time. I couldn’t believe it. She was gone. My best friend, gone. The family that I was supposed to protect, dead. I had failed, miserably.
“Son,” the policeman looked down at me “when I say no bodies were recovered, I know no bodies were recovered. Run along now, kids like you shouldn’t be in this area. It’s not safe, ‘cause in case you haven’t noticed, the fire is still burning.”
We both simultaneously looked over at the segment of the building that was still burning. The rest was ash and coals. I saw fire fighters use hoses that spat water at the fire. I knew it was no use, but I didn’t say anything. I didn’t need a police officer on my case.
“Thank you for your help.” I said. I sprinted away, my hat almost falling off. I placed my hand on it to keep it from flying away. I knew the hat was a bad idea, but Bruce made me wear it anyway, so they couldn’t see my face. As if they could anyway, I always keep my mask on, except in extremely public areas.
I ran to the nearest deserted alley, leaned against the corner, tired, and full of mixed emotions. I yanked off my hat, which unleashed my spiky black hair. I could never get it to relax, even though I didn’t really try. Okay, so I use hair gel. Just a little though, just a little.
I took the communicator out of my pocket and flipped up the lid. The screen crackled into life. Showing me a picture of Bruce.
“Robin,” he said, he did not show that emotion in his voice, but his eyes full of worry. “I did not expect to hear back from you so early, what news?”
I spoke quietly, but loudly enough for Bruce to hear me “I first searched the area myself, and I found nothing. I asked the authorities after, but nothing had been recovered. There was nothing more I could do, so I left and contacted you.”
“Bruce,” I spoke softly, “We failed, Alpha succeeded, all of them are gone.”
I wiped my face of tears. She was my best friend, even though I was supposed to protect her, but we had fun. She was into extreme things like I was, she was a mechanical genius, and had given me my first birdarang. She was my best friend.
“Robin, her death is not your fault. We could not have done anything to prevent the fire. We did what we could, and her life, as well as her family’s life, lasted for at least two more years.”
“ I know but still, it’s just…” I trailed off. He didn’t know how this felt. To be torn apart by emotions, of loss, anger, the want of revenge. “It’s just truly hard to say good-bye to your best friend.” That wasn’t even a fifth of how I felt, but like I was really going to tell Bruce how I felt.
“I know you feel as if your emotions are tearing you apart, but she is in a better place now, is she not? Now, if there is nothing else suspicious going on, please come back, we cannot afford you getting sick in this cold. And besides, I need to show you your improved birdarang. Over and out.”
The screen went black. I closed the lid and slumped down onto the ground, my back against the wall. How could this happen? I knew it wasn’t my fault but still, I couldn’t understand why.
Why did it have to be this way? Why couldn’t it have been another family that witnessed that murder? Why them?
I got up, tears streaming down my face. I took off my mask for a brief second to wipe them away. I stood up, putting on my hat, and zippering my long coat. I sauntered out of the alley. Alpha will pay for this, I thought, he will pay…
The rest of the story takes place in the present
I was zooming down the avenue on my R-Cycle. The rest of the Titans were coming to the crime scene from different directions. Nothing is more effective than surprise. That is what I learned when I worked with Bruce.
“So what exactly are we looking for again? A giant robot destroying everything in its path?” Cy’s voice crackled over the speaker.
“What else?” I replied. “There’s been an increase in crime the past month, I think someone is behind this, and I know it’s definitely not Slade.”
“Or maybe it’s just an accident out of control. Things like that do happen.” Raven’s monotone voice echoed through the speaker.
“I know, but I…” I heard a rumbling sound coming from my cycle. It grew louder and finally, all power was shut off.
“Not again!” I whacked the R-Cycle with my leg. This was the third time it had just shut off on me. Cyborg had checked it, but he said nothing was wrong. Wrong!
“Cy, it shut down again, I’m going to have to go on foot. You really need to check this thing.”
I took off my helmet, placed it on the handlebars. And led it into the nearest alley. “Hey Robin, need a ride?”
I jumped and turned around, Cy and Raven were sitting in the T-Car, which had the window down and was sitting in the entrance to the alley.
“Thanks Cy.” I opened the door to the back seat, hopped in, and slammed the door shut. “How close are we to getting to the scene?” I asked.
Raven’s turned to look at me with her pale face and said, “Well, if we keep making unnecessary stops, like for milkshakes, then I’d say we’ll be there in about 5 hours.”
I grinned, when Cy was thirsty, hungry, or whatever, you could obviously tell.
“Hey! That was not an unnecessary stop! I was thirsty!” Cy said to both of us, trying to clear his name.
“Yeah,” I said with a grin as I pointed to the seven empty milkshake containers, “I can tell.”
Cy turned back to the windshield, turning red. “On the serious side, we should be there about… now.”
He turned the wheel and the car swerved into a neat stop. Cy put the car in park and stepped out. I could see him put his hand on his head and I heard him say, “Um, did we miss something?”
Raven and I stepped out of the car, and I saw what had confused Cy. There was nothing here, except the remains of a battle and Beast Boy and Star looking around.
Star saw us and gracefully floated over to the three of us. “Hello friends!” she exclaimed, “I fear someone else is here, for this is all that we have found.” She said in a more sorrowful voice, as she gestured to the piles of rubble.
Beast Boy came over and transformed into himself, for he was recently a cheetah. “Do you want to know what I think of this mess?”
Raven looked at him and said, “The question is not what you think about this, the question is, do we care about what you have to say?”
Beast Boy frowned, but Cy and I laughed softly. Star looked at us puzzled “I do not understand, why is it funny to make fun of Beast Boy?”
I thought for a moment, why is it funny? “It… just is, I guess.”
“Oh.”
“Oh, gee thanks for standing up for me Robin. BLECH!”
He made a face at me. Star giggled, Raven frowned. Focus, I thought. “Okay, right now we should spread out and search for clues throughout the whole area.” I sectioned off the area into five parts, including air. I wandered to the east part of the block, where I only saw concrete, dirt, and broken bricks. Anything, I thought, would be a good clue right now, anything.
Just then, as if to answer my thought, a long feather floated gently down in front of my face. Reflexes made me snatch it. I looked down in the palm of my hand, and there sat a foot long feather. It was a dark, rich purple. I knew where this feather had come from, and who it belonged to, but she was dead. I searched for her myself, and came up with nothing. I racked my brain for thoughts of anyone else who would have this feather. Alpha was the answer I came across. Her killer and arch-nemesis, who else?
I looked up in the direction the feather blew from, and there, on top of the building, stood a man in a long cloak down to his ankles, which floated around him in the wind. If my guess was correct, it was Alpha. Now, as she would say, time to test my skill.
I took an explosive disk out of my utility belt. As quietly as I could, I stepped back four paces, ran forward five, and flung it as hard as I could. It swerved a little to the left, but it looked like it was going to hit its mark directly. She would be proud. “YES!!!”
As soon as I said that, all of the Titans turned to look at me. “Dude, did you find something?” Beast Boy asked me.
I looked at him innocently and said back “Me? Uh… no. Sorry about that.” They all stared at me, and then they turned away and continued searching for clues. Raven’s gaze left me last. I focused my attention on the spiraling disk, which was now directly to the right of the figure.
As quick as a flash, the figure stuck out his right hand and grabbed the spinning disk right out of the air.
My eyes grew wide. Oops.
He threw the disk back at me, much faster than I had thrown it before. It spun right towards my chest. Impact. I was hurled back against the wall.
Instantly, Cy was at my side. “Whoa, where did that come from?” he questioned. I looked where the man had been earlier, but he was gone. I didn’t feel like explaining everything from start to finish. “I have no idea.”
I staggered, and with Cy’s help, stood up. The feather was still in my left hand, I slipped it in my utility belt without anyone seeing. I didn’t want them to know.
After questioning everyone if they had found anything (to which the answer was no from everyone), we bounded into the T-Car, questions running through my head. Was Alpha here? Why? Was he after me? And the biggest question of all, why would he give me Crow’s feather, to taunt me of her death?

Chapter 2: Somber
As seen through Raven's Eyes
After Cyborg put Robin's R-Cycle in the trunk, we piled back into the T-Car to get home. Robin was unnaturally silent during the ride, just staring out of the window as Beast Boy and Cyborg chattered on senselessly.
It was not like Robin to be quiet, he looked sad, as if he was remembering a tragic memory. Normally, I was the only one who looked like that. I mean, It's not everyday you see someone who acts like me. Like me, I hate those words. As soon as I had thought that phrase, I saw something.
"Cyborg, could you stop the car for a minute?" I said, My voice lacked any emotion, as it usually does. Cyborg stopped the car immediately. "What's wrong?" he asked. Every face in the car turned to look at me. "Perhaps she is affected by the sickness of the car?" Starfire said, obviously trying to help.
"No, step out of the car for a moment." I said, as I opened the door. We all stepped out. Robin and Cyborg came around to the same side of the car as the rest of us were. "What's wrong? I don't see anything weird going on." Robin questioned. "Look at the bottom of the water." I said, as always my voice showed no emotion.
I pointed to an unnatural mound of earth at the bottom. It wasn't very high, but it traveled on as if it was the top of an underground tunnel. "Maybe that is the reason that we didn't find anything."
"Except for the feather..." Robin said quietly. I think I was the only one who heard him, but I couldn't be sure. "Raven," Robin said, "I think that it has nothing to do with the fact that we didn't find much. Maybe it's probably been there a while, and we've never seen it before. Let's go."
I agreed with Robin, but I wasn't so sure that my suspicions were wrong. We piled into the car, and drove back to the tower.
When we got there, Cyborg parked the car in the garage, and took out the R-Cycle. "Robin, I'll check this thing again, but I've already checked it twice, empowered the generator, filled the tank, and I still don't think anything is wrong."
"Dude, maybe you could have missed something, I mean..." Beast Boy started to say.
"BB," Cyborg said. "If you have any doubt in my mechanical skills, you should start running about... now."
Beast Boy shrieked and sprinted out of the garage, not even taking the time to turn into something faster than his regular self. I let out a small grin, a grin, but an exceptionally small one.
Beast Boy's idiotic jokes never really made me smile, in fact, they usually made me frown. But when someone made a fool out of Beast Boy, now that was a little entertaining. Obviously, because of my powers, I can't show any emotion. I wish I could though, I really wish I could. That's why it bothers me when Beast Boy and the others waste their emotions or worthless things, like anger or video games.
Starfire announced that she was going upstairs to work on the scrapbook (or what she called a scrapbook) and I decided to go meditate. Robin trudged back up to the living room with me, leaving Cyborg to check the R-Cycle in peace. On the way up, Robin, again, was unnaturally quiet, as if he was hiding something from all of us. I took a guess on his emotions.
"Robin," I said, "You're hiding something from us. I don't know if it's a memory or a secret. All I know is that it's bothering you and if everything is okay."
He looked at me with surprise all over his face. I could tell that I was right on guessing his thoughts, even though I wasn't completely sure.
"Actually," He started off, "Nothing's really wrong. It's just... something happened that triggered a memory of an old friend just now. It's... just... a really sad memory."
"And who was this friend?" I asked, already predicting what the answer would be.
"I would actually rather not talk about it, it's a really long story, and I'm kind of tired." He sighed.
"Well, if you want to talk, I'll always be here to listen." I said. I always know what my friends want and not want to hear.
"Thanks Rae, that helps a lot." He said with a weak grin.
That was the end of the conversation. Robin and I each headed off to our rooms, him to rest, and me to go meditate. I was only planning a couple of hours tonight; I would have to make up the difference tomorrow. When I reached the doorway, the door slid open, as if welcoming me home.
Awhile ago I painted my room black, and I like it that way. Black puts me in an emotionless mood, which is good, to control my powers, not for me. I hang things up on my wall, like the masks of comedy and tragedy, which represent the two types of Greek plays. I like shows, masks, and other weird things, so I am weird. But when I'm with my friends, since the rest of us are weird and abnormal, I feel normal, except when I'm with Beast Boy, that is.
I don't like to let people into my room that often. Once in a while is okay, but I do like my privacy, like anyone else. It's not that I don't like people, it's just that I need time to focus, project my thoughts on controlling my powers. It seems as if my life is all about controlling my powers these days, no fun, no emotion, just powers. I hate it all.
I sat cross-legged in the middle of the floor, floated up about four feet, and started chanting "Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos...."
**********************************************************************************
I woke up late the next day, so by the time I had gotten downstairs, breakfast had already been served. Not that I wanted it. I always drink herbal tea in the morning to wake me up, plus it's healthier. And anyway, even if I had wanted breakfast, Beast Boy was cooking.
When I got there, as usual, Beast Boy and Cyborg were arguing about breakfast, and Starfire and Robin were conversing about something. I quietly sauntered in and poured my herbal tea. I looked at Robin. He was definitely in a better mood this morning, but he seemed as if he was carrying a heavy loud on his back, or as if he was trying to forget the memory that haunted him last evening.
I calmly sat down on the edge of the bench and greeted the others, who greeted me back. We chatted about the day and what was to come, and after breakfast, I continued to meditate.
After 3 hours of meditation and lunch, we headed to the gym for training. That meant more meditation for me, athletic exercise for the others. As I was in the middle of meditation, I heard a loud thud and then silence and I stopped.
Robin was lying on the floor confused, as if he had fallen or spun himself around several times in a row and had gotten extremely dizzy. I stood up, offering my hand to help him up. He accepted it greatly.
"Man, what happened?" Cyborg asked him, as Robin brushed the imaginary dust off. "Me? I was, erm, trying a new karate move. It involves jumping in the air and spinning really fast so you hover for a couple of moments. I knew someone who could do it, and I wanted to try it. I obviously can't do it." Robin said casually. A little too casually.
My mind immediately thought of his 'old friend'. "Maybe you should take it easy for the rest of the day." I said, trying to help.
"Yes Robin, I agree with Raven. For you have had many unfortunate things happen to you in the past few days. Perhaps you should try to entertain yourself; you have done enough training today."
He looked around at all of our faces, which clearly stated that they agreed with Starfire, all except mine, that is. Emotionless face that would be mine.
"Okay, I see your point guys; I'm going to go watch some TV in the living room. I'll see you later."
At that point, he left, and the rest of us continued to train in silence, until Beast Boy said, “I think something's up with Robin, I just don't know what."
I opened my eyes and made a comment. "Beast Boy, even though you never know what, I, for once, agree with you." The other titans nodded in agreement, and continued to train.
I truly did agree with Beast Boy, for something strange was going on with Robin, something very strange indeed...
*********************************************************************************
It was almost completely dark when disaster struck. I was reading one of my spell books when the alarm rang. I checked the screen, not good. The cause was unidentified, which meant it was something we had never seen before. Robin decided that we were all going to take the car to the scene, it wasn't the fastest way, but nobody questioned his reasoning.
Nobody said anything as we drove to our destination, and I knew why. What if we found another desolate, used battlefield? What if we found another superhero?? The what ifs in my head went on forever, but I stopped as soon as Robin spoke.
"We're nearly there. Pull over." Cyborg did as he said, and once again, no one questioned why. We all stepped out and Robin, leading the way, walked to a broken brick wall, and knelt down. "Don't make any sudden moves guys, I want to watch this." And we knelt down next to him, and we watched something interesting.
There was a cloaked figure standing in the middle of the street and a robot around 15 feet tall. I looked over at Robin. His face was plain, mouth set in a frown, making no sound. I turned back to the scene. The cloaked figure was now sprinting toward the robot. With a yell, he jumped and planted a foot in the robot's chest, who staggered.
The robot pointed at the figure and his arm became a laser, which fired immediately. The figure back flipped and got out of the way of the beam. The robot kept pointing and firing and the figure kept moving. After around 15 lasers, the figure sprinted towards the robot, dodging lasers here and there, and when he was about seven feet away. He jumped.
In the air, the figure grabbed the edges of his cloak and spun around quickly. With his hands like fists and the cloak's edge in them, the figure was able to hover in the air while destroying anything that came in contact with it, like the robot's face did.
Simultaneously, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, and myself all turned to look at Robin. We all knew that is what he was trying to do earlier and failed. Was that Robin's old friend? I didn't know, but I know I had never seen Robin watch anything so intently before. The four of us looked at each other, as if to say what's going on? We shrugged and turned away.
By now the figure was on the ground, literally demolishing the robot with martial arts. In time (like 15 seconds later), the robot crashed to the ground, obviously broken.
The figure stood up and walked over to the robot. He looked at the chest of the robot, and in one single motion, ripped off something that looked like a disk. He placed in it his cloak. There was silence all throughout the area. Until a loud "Whoa," broke the silence.
We all instantly turned to look at Beast Boy. Robin had clapped his hand over his mouth, but it was too late, the figure had heard us, and had started to run.
"Titans, Go!" And Robin began to sprint over to the figure, who was in the middle of climbing the building. We all traveled fast to reach the figure. Starfire and I went to the other side of the building and soared up to the top.
**********************************************************************************
The rest of this chapter is seen through the eyes of Beast Boy
Me and my big mouth. I knew I was going to be yelled at by Rae and everyone else back at the tower, but now I could try to help. I transformed into an eagle, grabbed Cy and we zoomed past Robin on our way to the top of the building, who was three quarters up the building by now.
I flew to the top of the building, dropped Cyborg, and transformed into a cheetah perfectly poised for springing an attack. Cy had his sonic cannon out and ready to fire at the figure. Robin hopped up onto the roof fully armed with two disks in his hand. Rae and Star were ready to fire as well. Star said the first words.
"Do not move." There was an edge to her voice, but it wasn't sharp.
"We don't want to fight you." Rae said, her voice had a hint of emotion. I transformed back into my normal self.
Then we heard the figure speak for the first time, but first he drew out a sword. I could see Robin's arm falter a little, but I didn't get a closer look.
"No," the figure said, with the hint of humor and malice in his voice, "No you don't."
He slipped the sword back into his cloak, and with a yell, charged toward Rae and Star, who instantly fired. He jumped high, and did a triple front flip in the air. Dodging all shots and lasers. But instead of landing, he soared headfirst over Rae and Star off the edge of the building.
We were stunned. We rushed to the edge and saw the figure falling down the side of the building fast. "Um..." I started. "Am I allowed to say whoa now?" I asked.

Well, I had the day off of school so I decided to type another chapter. Please tell me if it gets way too confusing or predictable or stupid. Oh yeah, also, please tell me if the storyline gets idiotic or if any Beast Boy jokes (or any jokes) are funny.:)

Chapter 3- The Scrapbook
Seen through the eyes of Beast Boy
This was one seriously messed-up dude. He just jumped off a building, and is now laughing as he is falling. We all looked at Robin. "Dude," I said, "Do we save him?"
Robin looked at his feet. "Starfire," he ordered, "When I say go, I want you to follow him and try to hit him with your starbolts, but stay back at least 15 meters. The rest of us will watch."
"But..." I started to say, I would have finished my sentence, if Rae hadn't elbowed me in the stomach. "OW!!" Why does Star get to have all the action?
I looked back at the scene. The guy was still falling, and around the 15th story, 13th..., 9th..., I knew he was going to hit the ground soon. What a suee...sewi... ugh, never mind (I was trying to say this word: suicidal, but I can't). This guy was trying to kill himself, and all we wanted to do was talk! "Dude, something is wrong with this dude's head." I said talking to no one.
As soon as I had finished speaking, I learned that the dude with the messed up head was not going to crash into the pavement and make a hole to the center of the Earth, 'cause the dude with the not-so-messed up head had a few more tricks in his cloak (literally). He grabbed the edge of his cloak, did a front-flip and a half, spread his arms out like wings. And get this, started gliding at like, a really fast speed.
"Starfire, now!" He shouted. We all jumped, up here since we were all watching, it was as quiet as, erm, the quietness of the night, and his voice cut through it like Cy's teeth through a slice of pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and ham pizza, his all-time fav.
Starfire soared into the air and then zoomed down almost as fast as the dude with the not-so-messed up head was falling before. Starfire made a sharp turn and was directly in line with the dude with the not-so-messed up head. With a girly yell, Star hurled a starbolt at the figure, who swerved to the right (or maybe it was the left, I'm not good with directions...) and dodged it.
Star yelled again and threw two simultaneous starbolts at the dude with the not-so-messed up head, who titled his cloak up and soared up as well. Star tried to stay in line with the figure and flew up to match the dude with the not-so-messed up head. She fired another starbolt and this was he couldn't dodge. The bolt hit the dude with the not-so-messed up head's shoes, and I don't know how, but it bounced off of his shoes and hit Starfire in the head instead, which knocked her to the ground.
I transformed into an eagle and swooped down and caught Star in my talons, then gently brought her back up to the roof. I dropped her in Robin's open hands, and became myself again. "Robin, should we go after the dude with the not-so-mes... I mean that guy with the cloak?"
"No," Robin said, and we were all shocked. “It’s too dangerous. We should go home. Star, are you okay?"
"Yes Robin, I am thankfully undamaged."
"Good, let's go guys."
And Robin didn't say anything else until we got back to the tower.
**********************************************************************************
The rest of this chapter is seen through the eyes of Cyborg
I was pressing the A button as fast as I could on the controller, trying to make BB eat my digital dust. I was almost at the finish line, with BB about 10 seconds behind me, and I used a speed burst and crossed the finish line with no problem.
"Aw yeah! I win again!" I shouted for everyone to hear.
"Come on dude," BB pleaded, "One more game?"
"Man, I've already whipped your butt 5 times, and it's startin' to get old. I'm gonna go see if Robin is okay."
BB, Star, and Raven all stared at me. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" Raven asked, "He seems to be pretty down lately. Maybe we should just leave him alone." She turned back to her book.
"Yes Cyborg, you should go talk to him." Starfire contradicted, "Perhaps he needs our emotional support, I shall come with you." She started to stand up.
"If Cyborg is going to go talk to Robin, I think he should go alone." Raven's monotone voice rang out. "The last thing he needs is for all of us to barge in on him and start to tell him that we want to know if anything is wrong."
"Oh." Star said quietly, and she sat down, returning to sorting her pictures.
"Well, I'm gonna go..." I said, walking towards the door.
My friend’s voices wished me good luck as I walked through the door and it slid shut behind me. I wondered if Robin was even going to give me any answers. I pushed the elevator button and waited rather than going up the stairs. He had been acting strangely for the last couple of days, from that explosion to falling while training. Something was definitely up, I decided as I stepped onto the elevator.
It zoomed up to the level our rooms were on. I designed this building and am very proud of it, so I think I deserve a lot of credit. The doors opened and I walked through the hall to Robin's room. I heard a distant chuckle which I recognized as Robin's. I walked faster and approached Robin's door. It slid open, and I heard a rustling and then saw Robin sitting cross-legged on his bed with his hands behind his back, as if he was hiding something from me.
"Um, hi Cyborg." He said with a grin. The rest of his face looked uncomfortable, as he kept glancing over his shoulder. "What's up?
"Well," I said, wondering why he was so uncomfortable, "You've been acting kinda weird lately, so I just wondering if you're cool." I said sitting on his bed (and tilting it to one side...) next to him. I saw the corner of something behind his back. He shifted it out of view, hiding it from me. "Oh, well..."
"Man, whadda you hiding from me!" I exclaimed. He was definitely hiding something, and I wanted to know why, and what. "Nothing!" He said, but I could tell he was lying. "Man, do not make me take it from you!" I said reaching for it. "You're gonna have to catch me first!" He said jumping and running to the other side of the room.
"Ready or not Robin, here I come!" I charged over to him and he dodged me by jumping over, but I wasn't that stupid. I reached up and grabbed his ankle. "Gotcha!"
He let go of what he was holding as his arms went out to brace himself, and I caught it with my free hand. It was a deep crimson color, and it looked like a book. As I was about to open it, Robin got up and he tried to snatch it away. I opened it, and I saw what looked like the beginning of a scrapbook.
"What is this?" I asked as I started flipping through the pages. "Is this Starfire's?" He snatched it back. "No," Robin said, "It's mine, now, anyway."
He sat on his bed and flipped to a page with pictures of a younger him and a girl on it. He pointed to a girl with a snowboard. "This book, technically, is hers."
I stared at the picture. The girl had short, light brown hair with a dark purple feather hanging from it, and a grin as wide as BB's mouth. Her eyes were closed so I couldn't see them, but in the picture next to that one, her violet eyes had an unnatural sparkle, as if she was extremely happy.
"Who is she? Like, your first girlfriend or something?" I said with a smirk. I looked at Robin, who stared back at me with a solemn face. Oops. Not funny.
"Her name was Crow, and she was one of the best friends I ever had." He said sadly, while flipping to a page with a man, woman, a girl who looked like she was five, a boy who looked like he was fifteen, the girl with the snow board, and a younger Robin. "When I was working with Bruce, Crow and her family witnessed her uncle killing another man. They were witnesses in court, particularly Crow. Instead of going into the witness protection program, they were placed under Bruce's and my protection, which meant they knew our identities."
"Crow was one of the weirdest girls I had ever met. She hated wearing any type of skirt or dress, she was a mechanical genius, into the most extreme sports that you could think of, was the pickiest eater I knew, she knew 5 types of kung fu, and..." he said with a sigh, "She and her family made me feel as if I was part of theirs."
I was silent. The two had obviously been close, and I knew how Robin was an orphan, so I could understand why he seemed to be having so much fun in these pictures.
I flipped some more pages as he paused. There was one which seemed to be like a concert of some sort, and another that showed Crow with her black belt, certificate, a sword (which she must have gotten at her promotion), and the second biggest grin I ever saw (the first was BB's). In every picture, I saw she was wearing that feather in her hair.
Robin started to speak again. "She is the only one I know who could do that spin trick, and the gliding trick, and her birthday is tomorrow."
I had an idea. "Why don't you invite her over here?" I said enthusiastically, "We could meet her and who knows, maybe she could become a titan!" I thought it was a great idea, but from the way Robin looked, well, it made him even more upset.
He looked down at his feet again. "She and the rest of her family are dead." He said with the saddest voice I had ever heard. "She and her family died in a fire six years ago."
My face lost all happiness. "Oh." I said, thinking about how painful that must be. There was complete silence in the room for at least three minutes, until Robin made a comment.
"Her killer was Alpha. He set their house on fire, and left. He worked with her uncle and he vowed to destroy them in the end. He succeeded."
He stood up and walked over to the desk and picked up a dark purple feather. He picked it up and looked at it. "I think Alpha is the one who is hiding underneath that cloak. I also think he is after me, because we were on Crow's side. And if I am right, he appears to have learned some of Crow's best tricks."
He paused. I made no comment; I wasn't completely sure what to say. He was telling me all of this stuff that was so painful for him to remember. Maybe it made him feel better to pour it all out. I didn't know.
"Alpha is one of the most dangerous criminals I have ever encountered, and he is right above Slade on my list. If it is him, then, I don't know what will happen."
He looked at me, "Thanks for coming to see if I was okay Cy, I appreciate it. I'm going to sleep now, so..."
"Okay man, see you tomorrow." I needed to recharge anyway, my batteries were low. I got up and walked to the door. "Oh, and Cyborg,” I turned around and looked at Robin, who was standing next to his bed. "Please don't tell the others. I don't like keeping secrets from them but..." He trailed off and looked away.
"It's okay man, I understand. Night." The door slid open and I walked out across the hall to my room. The door opened to my room and I sauntered in. My room gave of a light yellow glow, complete with some of my best inventions. My bed was a metal slate on poles, not very comfy. I plugged in my recharger and laid down on what I called a bed, recalling everything Robin had told me. And the pictures of that girl and her family.
And her smile...

Okay, here we go next chapter, if it is way too confuzziling, let me know.
Chapter 4- What a Hood Can Hide
As Seen Through Robin's Eyes
It was next evening before anything occurred. Everything was happening at night these days. Alpha's favorite time to strike was night after all, if it is him, that is.
I decided that all of us would take the T-Car, again. My reasoning for this was so we would all be together and say if Star was there first and started fighting, then if the rest of came later, she could be hurt and Alpha could have gotten away, not good. I didn't want to risk one of us fighting him alone. Anyway, I just wanted us to be together. All of the titans, that is, not just Star and me.
I was silent once again as we drove to the site, my mind was full to the brim with questions. Was it Alpha? Why was he in Jump City? Many more were there, but I stopped considering the answers to them when we got there.
Cy swerved the car into a neat stop and we hastily got out of the car. The others waited for me to lead the way, and I did. I walked through an alley and looked at the happening scene. The only thing there was a robot, around thirty feet tall, armed with missiles which it was using to destroy everything in its path. The figure in the cloak was nowhere to be seen.
"Looks like our 'friend' isn't here yet." Cy commented dryly. I checked once more to see if he was there, then said, "Titans, Go!"
We sprang into action. Cy and I ran to the robot, while Raven, Beast Boy, and Star took to the sky, soaring to the robot. I threw an explosive disk cleanly at his chest, while I spun around to give it distance and impact speed. It hit its mark. The robot made no sign of pain, as it kept walking forward. With a yell, Star shot several starbolts at his head, and like my disk they too hit their mark, but the robot continued traveling forward. Cy used his sonic cannon, Raven used her powers to levitate some rocks, Beast Boy used his animal transformations for forceful impacts, nothing worked, we needed a plan.
"Titans!" I shouted sharply. "On my go, go up to him and give it all you've got!" The robot somehow sensed what was going on and strangely enough, sprouted two more arms, so altogether he had four. Those arms had lasers too, which were starting to aim for us. "Now!" I yelled.
Cy and I sprinted as fast as we could, but Cy was at least 50 feet ahead of me. Star, Beast Boy, and Raven flew as fast as they could towards it, but without warning, (as if we were going to get any...) all four arms reached out and snatched Cy, Beast Boy, Raven, and Star from the air and ground, and prevented them from using their powers.
"Hang on!" I shouted. I had to save them; I could not defeat the robot on my own, no matter how hard I tried. The electrical eyes of the robot faced me; I stared back coldly into them, although my mask prevented the robot from seeing them.
My friends were struggling to get out of the robots grasp. They were failing miserably (no offense...). The robot's eyes were turning a dangerous glowing yellow. I turned back towards Cy. He had gotten the arm with his sonic cannon free. He looked at me, his arm in the air and his eyes wide. "Robin! Watch it!”
The robot's eyes shot lasers directly at me. I could not dodge them, they had too wide a range, and I couldn't move fast enough. I felt rooted to the spot.
Suddenly, I felt a rough impact on my sides, as if they were hands that had grabbed my waist to move me out of the way. It wasn't the lasers that Cy was warning me about, it was this.
I had dodged the lasers, but the lasers hit the waist of my attacker (or rescuer, as of right now I'm not sure...) and they must have burned his skin because he let out a yell of pain. He must have leaped to move me, but we landed with a skid on the street, right next to the display window of a store.
Almost as soon as we had landed, we got up as quickly as possible. I positioned my self to attack, but my attacker/rescuer was faster. He pulled out a sword and put the point directly on my throat.
"I don't know who you are or what you are doing here. But I would really like to know, and it may be best for you to say." And as soon as that was said, that's when I realized something.
The voice belonged to, not a man, but a girl, probably around my age. I started to speak, "I am..." I stopped. My glancing eyes had landed on the hilt of the sword she was holding. It had two jewels implanted in it, one a ruby red and the other a deep purple. I know that hilt, I thought, but it's not hers, it can't be, she's dead.
And that's when I saw it. A shimmer attracted my eye, and I looked in that direction. It was the decoration on a necklace. The decoration was a silver line, about an inch wide, with diagonal lines on both sides stretching out about 3 inches.
"Answer me!" The girl said, the point of the sword digging deeper into my throat. "Do not waste my time!"
I was wrong, it wasn't Alpha, couldn't be. It had to be...
"Crow?" I said skeptically, not even believing my own guess.
The girl lowered her sword and put it back in her sheath. She took both of her hands and used them to take down her hood, unveiling her sparkling violet eyes.
And then she spoke. I had not heard that voice in six years, and I was overjoyed to hear it again.
"Robin?"
**********************************************************************************
We embraced each other, we couldn't help it. I thought she was dead, but she's alive. She's alive!
"I thought you were dead." I said, my voice shaking with emotion. "Why didn't you tell me you were alive?"
"I couldn't find you, and besides. It wasn't safe to go out into the open if I was supposed to be dead. I took matters into my own hands."
I knew what she meant. I would have done the same thing if I was her.
"Is Alpha here?" I asked. That question had been on my mind for days, and it was good to finally get an answer.
"Yes," she said, gesturing to the robot. "This is his, as were the others. But who are the people that the robot has?" She questioned me. "My friends." I said, "We live here in this city, in the building that looks like a T. Have you seen it?"
She racked her brain while wearing a look I knew so well, "I can't think of it right now. But we should probably go rescue you're friends. Then we need to talk."
She put her hood up, covering her face once again. "But Crow," I stuttered, " Nothing we have can destroy it, let alon-."
"Yo Robin!" I heard a familiar voice shout. It was Cy, and it looked like he was almost free. "If you don't mind me interrupting your little quiet session there, we could use some help over here!"
He was blasting the robotic arm with his sonic cannon, and the blasts kept ricocheting off of his mirrored surface. "Hold on!" I screamed back, turning my face to Crow.
She was looking over at Cy again, "Very patient." She said sarcastically. "What were you saying?"
"I said we have nothing that can destroy it, let alone scratch it. It's too strong, can you help?"
She didn't say anything instantly. She slowly reached into her cloak and drew out her sword. She held the blade a foot away from her face to examine it. "I would think this is sharp enough to cut through it. Don't you think?" She asked, twirling the blade so the handle faced me. She extended it out to me.
"Crow, I never knew how to use that thing, and I still don't! Do you really think th-."
"Trust me." She said, and I knew I could. It was as if time slowed down as I was reaching for the sword. I finally grabbed the handle and Crow let go. It was much lighter than I had thought. I placed it at my side, my fingers running over the two implanted jewels, I always wondered what they were there for.
"Thanks." I said hastily, "Now come on!" I said turning to go.
"No Robin, I'm not going with you, but I will help. You will know when I do." She said. "Once you cut your friends free by the way, hit the robot with everything you've got."
I knew there was no point in arguing with her about her coming with me, but how was I supposed to use the sword, let alone destroy the robot.
"Um, Crow? Do you want to tell me how to kill the robot?" I asked, she would know, I knew, I trusted her with my life.
She looked at me, and if there wasn't a hood over her face, I would have been able to see her grin, as wide as Beast Boy's mouth.
Quite calmly, she said, "You hit it," she paused for dramatic effect, "Until it breaks."
A typical Crow answer, and I couldn't help but grin.

Chapter 5- Friend or Foe?
As Seen Through the Eyes of Starfire
I screamed as my own starbolts skimmed my pale orange skin. Why was Robin not helping us? Was he in danger? I could not bear the thought of it. I yelled and shot an enormous starbolt out of my free hand at the mechanical device's head. Like my other bolts, it bounced off and hit a wall made of the reddish blocks which I believe are called bricks.
"Please let me go! We only wish for you to stop damaging our city!" I shouted. I hoped the anger inside this mechanical device would cease from my words and he would let us go free.
"Star," My friend Raven said, "I do not think talking to it is going to help at all." She was using her powers to attempt to tear the arm of the robot, but she was failing, for she lacked the necessary concentration.
I heard a cry of battle that could only belong to Robin. I looked and he was running towards the robot, carrying a large shiny knife. With another cry of battle, he jumped into the air at me. I gasped as he swung the knife so it crashed down onto the mechanical device's arm, and it sliced the arm in two parts. Robin caught me in the arm that did not have the large knife in it. He carried me safetly to the ground and helped get out of the mechanical device's hand.
"Are you okay?" Robin questioned me, he was in the out of breath state. "I am undamaged, Robin." I answered back. He looked at me and said, "Good, now give the robot everything you've got." He started to walk away.
"Robin, what does that mean?" I asked, unsure of the statement.
"It means use all of your power." He shouted while running to go free our other friends.
I soared up into the air, my hands and eyes glowing with the light of my starbolts. I shot green starbolts from my hands and my emerald colored eyes (I think that is what Robin called them) and all of my bolts hit one of the mechanical device's moving legs, leaving a black mark.
Beast Boy, in bird form, swooped past me, diving for the mechanical device's head. The eyes on this device glowed orange and shot beams at Beast Boy, forcing him back into the wall made of brick. "Beast Boy!" I called out. He was on the ground, obviously in pain. I flew to his side, "Friend, are you damaged?" I asked him.
He moaned, I extended a hand to help him up, but a pair of lasers hit my chest. I screamed as I fell back to the brick wall. I hit it, and I fell to the ground, my eyes closed.
I didn't open my eyes, but I heard yells, cries of battle, and screams that belonged to my friends. I couldn't move, even though I tried hard. I heard a yell and gasp that belonged to Raven, my only female companion. I heard Cyborg's yell that was closely followed by a crash. My friends and I were very close to defeat...
I found I could lift my neck and open my eyes. I saw Robin standing there, poised with the large knife in his hands. The mechanical device's gaze landed on him, and lasers shot directly at him. He twirled the knife in his hands to deflect the lasers, and it worked, in a way. He was not wounded, but the impact of the lasers, forced his body back, slamming himself against the wall.
We had lost.
I heard an unfamiliar voice. "Hey Metalmouth!!" I heard an earthing shout. I looked up at the top of a building. There was a figure standing there, his long cape blowing in the breeze. "Heads up!" He shouted. Then he jumped off.
In the air, he straightened his legs as if he was sitting down, then flipped twice, while keeping that poisition. He fell down, feet first, and after a while the bottoms of his shoes hit the mechanical device's head, which made the mechanical device stagger.
He landed on the ground undamaged. The mechanical device's eyes shot laser beams at the earthinling, who flipped and got out of the way. The mechanical device kept shooting lasers at him, but the earthiling kept moving out of the way.
I found the strength to move, but I was not fast as the earthling. The figure kept moving out of the way and I noticed that he was slowly going near Robin. The figure grabbed the large knife from Robin's side and picked Robin up, then jumped out of the way.
He ran, carrying Robin over to a safer place, where the figure placed him on the ground, than ran towards the mechanical device with the knife in hand. With a yell, he ran towards the mechanical device and waved the knife in his hand so it cut through the mechanical device.
He kept waving the knife so the mechcanical device was no longer one, but several pieces. I was interuged. Is person a friend or a foe? I was not sure, so I turned my attention back to the figure, who was ripping something off of the mechanical device.
He put an object that looked like a disk inside his long cape and put the large knife in there as well. He walked over to Robin, who looked like he was staring to awake, and gently picked him up and placed him in his arms. He looked at me attempting to get up, and with Robin in his arms, he walked over to me.
I used my arms to lift myself up from the ground, but I was too weak and I collasped. I attempted again, and I failed again. I saw a hand was extended in front of my face, I heard a voice. "Do you need a hand?" I had never heard a voice like that before, it was higher than Robin's, yet almost like Terra's. I wondered who this person was.
"I am very grateful for your timely assistance." I said, able to speak at last. I stood up with his assistance, stumbling at first. I soared off the ground and over to where he lay stirring on the grass. "So," the figure said as I knelt down beside him. "I'm guessing you're a friend of Robin's as well?"
"Yes, I am Starfire from Tamaran. May I ask what you call yourself?"
The figure paused for a moment, thinking. "Starfire... name rings a bell, never been to Tamaran though, hmm...." He mumbled. "Ah! Your question. For now..." He paused again, leaving me with no answer, for Robin was sitting up. "Robin!" Both of us exclaimed, the earthiling rushed over to his side and extended his hand to Robin like he did to me. "You okay?" He asked, in that voice which I had never heard an equalivalent to.
"Yeah, If I'm not now, I will be." He said massaging the unatural lump on his head. "WHy don't you and Star go get the others?"
"Sure, why not?" He said. He looked at me, "Are you coming?" "Yes, I feel as if my friends are in danger. They are your friends as well?"
We started to travel over to Cyborg. "No, I only know Robin. Yet I know I've heard of you somewhere..."
"I am confused, if you have never met me or been to my home planet Tamaran, how would you know who I am?"
"That's just it, I don't know. Here," He pointed to Raven. "You take her, and I'll take him." He pointed to Cyborg.
"I do not think that you will be able to carry him, for none of the others are able to..." I gasped as he gently lifted him up from the ground and placed him in his arms. "Able to what?" He said, a joyful tone in his voice.
Soon, we had carried my friends into one area, where they were started to awaken. While I was tending to my awaking friends, the earthling and Robin were deep in conversation.
"I can't believe you didn't think it was him." The figure was saying.
"Well, I could have gotten some hints if someone wasn't taking them away." I was not sure if he was joking or if he was really angry. But after a long pause between the two, they laughed loudly.
"Dude," Beast Boy said. "Do we know who this guy is?" He pointed his finger at the pair.
"No," Raven spoke, "But I have the feeling he and Robin are good friends." She gestured over to the pair, who were laughing loudly at something, though I did not know what.
"I mean, dude," We all looked at Beast Boy. " It's like they're old friends that haven't seen each other in like ten years."
"First off," the unique voice said, and we all stopped, "Six years actually, and also, you can just say a decade instead of ten years, it makes it so much easier." We all turned around, and there stood Robin and his friend. Robin was grinning, and even though I couldn't see it, I had the feeling that his friend was grinning too.
"Uh.." Cyborg stammered, "How did you get from there," he pointed to where they just were, "to here?"
The friend of Robin held up what looked like a metal circle, about an earth measurement of two inches wide, which had several buttons on it. "It's called a TP." He said. "Teleportation Portal. Made it myself. Connects to any other portal I've made, anywhere."
"Guys," Robin said. "I want to introduce you to my old friend named..."
"Crow." I heard Cyborg gasp. "I'm new to Jump City, as you might've guessed from what you've seen."
"Dude, I'm Beast Boy, welcome to Jump City! It's nice to finally meet the daredevil who jumps off buildings." Beast Boy said enthusically while shaking his hand.
He laughed, "Devil? I am no devil, that is, compared to others I know." She walked over to Raven, leaving Beast Boy as if he had just been punched in the face.
"And you are..." he said to Raven. "Raven. Nice to meet you." "Same here." He said and walked over to me.
"I already know who you are, but you didn't know before, so..." He stuck out his hand and I grabbed it. Suddenly, as soon as I touched it, a jolt of something ran through my arm into my hand, and into his, which blasted him against the wall of brick.
I flew over to him. "I am truly sorry! I do not know what happened, please forgi-." I gasped.
It was not a male earthling under that hood, it was a female earthling. Her features were quite exquisite. Her skin was the color of Robin's, her face was longer though. Her eyes were a glittering purple, the color of my clothing. Her light brown hair was longer than mine, for it reached her waist. She stood up and rubbed her head. She wore a shirt the color of the sugar that Beast Boy dumps into his cereal in the morning, which showed part of her stomach . The sleeves to it were longer than her arms, and the edges were angled to show the tips of her fingers. She had on a pair of black boots with heels that reached her thighs, and beneath those were a pair of chocolate colored leggings. Last, she had on a belt with several circlular pockets, and on one of the sides was a black tube, which th large knife's handle was sticking out of.
"That's okay," she said with a small grin. "I'll live." She walked over to my friends. Beast Boy and Cyborg's mouth were opened wider than usual, and Raven eyes were wide. Crow walked over to them, noticed their unnatural stares and looked at Robin. "Um, did I miss something?" She asked him.
"You're a GIRL!?!?" Beast Boy shouted, Raven stuck her elbow into his stomach, "Ow!"
Crow looked at the plams of her hand, then at Beast Boy. Without a smile, she said, "Is it really that hard to tell?" She grinned, and so did Robin.
"Well, if you act like a boy all the time, then yes, it is pretty hard to tell." A voice said from the shadows.
Crow spun around, taking out her sword. Her eyes glttered with a powerful force, anger, perhaps? "Come out where the whole world can see you, instead of hiding in the dark. " She shouted into the darkness. Robin started to say something, "Crow, is tha-."
"Shh!" She said to him, while staring into the blackness. After a long pause, a man dressed in a red bodysuit covered in black plates stepped out of the darkness. On his chest, there was a golden disk with a strange symbol engraved into it. Meanwhile, his mask was a blood red with a thin black stripe down the middle.
Crow said something first. "Alpha. Nice to see you've faced your fear of light." Alpha, that must have been his name.
He spoke again. "Crow. Nice to see you've finally found your friend."
Crow put a scowl on her face. "Pyro." She growled.
"Orphan." He spat at her.
"Your fault."
"Was it?" Alpha said with a laugh. "Don't let him tempt you." Robin said quietly to Crow, her hand gripped the handle of the large knife so part of her fingers were white.
"I think you'll be pleased to see what I've done with my creation." He said, pulling out a black box, with that strange symbol on it. The box was small, it fit into his hand nicely. I did bnot see that it could do any harm, yet Crow gasped and said, "No!"
"Yes. I'll think you will like its new improved effects. Would you like me to demonstrate?" He said with a hint of humor.
"Crow, what is that?" Robin asked her. She did not answer him at first, but she then said later, "I'll tell you when we talk, it'll take too long now. But for now, all you need to know is that you can only avoid it by-."
"Crow, you haven't answered me," He said tauntingly, "So I guess that means... YES!" He shouted as he opened the lid fast. A red ghost soared out of it flying towards us faster than I ever could.
"RUN!!!" Crow and Robin shouted together, and we needed no persuasion.

Chapter 6- Getting to Know You...
As Seen Through the Eyes of Beast Boy
We ran, I mean, it's not like we were gonna let that ghosty thing get us. So we ran, and actually, we were still running. I had become a cheetah and was leading the others, who were going as fast as they could. "Robin!" I heard Crow call out. I didn't bother looking back, I really just wanted to get away as fast as possible. A couple of seconds later, I saw Robin, Crow, and Cy on this thing which looked like a skateboard with no wheels. It had a single rocket on the bottom of it instead, and it zoomed by so it was in front of me by at least nine meters.
"Follow me!" Crow cried out to the rest of us, "I know how to dodge it!" She knelt down and gripped the front of the board. "Hold on!" She shouted, and the board zoomed directly up. "Whoa!" Cy shouted as Robin gripped his hand before he fell completely. Star and Rae followed the exact path of the board, while I changed into an eagle and soared up on the side of the building in circles.
My mind was full of thoughts. Why had I reacted so oddly to seeing what Crow looked like? I mean, I was unsure of her honesty before I had seen her face, but why did I find her so, erm, untrustworthy? I put two and two together and it clicked. One word, Terra.
Terra was, like, my best friend, only better. Before the Slade Incident (as Rae calls it) I could have seen the two of us spending the rest of our lives together, as one. I... I... I loved her. But now she is made of stone, and I miss her, I always will.
I finally reached to the top of the building, where Rae, Star, and Cy were talking, and Crow was telling something to Robin with a Raven-like look on her face. I joined the conversation that Rae, Star, and Cy were having.
"She seems, Raven, what is the word?"
"Suspicious." Raven said as she answered Starfire. "Extremely. How awkward is it that Robin's old 'friend' shows up after six years, and Robin compelety trusts her? Something is definitely up. We need to find out what."
"Yeah, I mean she seems so weird! She jumped off a building, and she just flew directly up one!" I said, adding to the conversation.
"Hey guys." Robin's voice cut through my pause. "I have to ask you something."
"I know it seems really, really weird that Crow just shows up now and stuff. But I was wondering... uh.. if it would be okay if she came to the Tower with us tonight, just for a couple of hours or so, because Crow and I, we, um..., need to fill each other in on some, erm... stuff."
"Robin, it is 'okay' with me." Star said, and I looked at her with suprise.
"Yeah," Said Cy, "Why not?"
Robin's face broke out into a small grin. "Thanks guys, this really means a lot. " He walked over to Crow, who looked like she was looking at something on her board. Robin staring talking to her, and she listened.
"Um, why did we just say yes if we think something is up with her?" I asked quietly. "The best way to prepare to fight an enemy is to learn about the enemy." Rae said.
"So the more we get to know her, the more we are able to conclude about her personality." Star finished.
That seemed to make sense. "Hey guys, ready to go?" Robin called. We nodded and walked over. "Umm, Robin? The T-Car only seats five, so..." Cy started to say.
"That's okay." Crow said while looking up at Cy with a grin. "I have my own method of transportation."
"You do?" Robin asked. "Yeah, how else would I travel, with this thing?" She held up her board. "It's down there." She pointed at the street below. "And how are we going to get down there?" I asked
"Exactly how we got up." She stood up got on her board, and it floated up about 6 inches. She extended her hand to Robin and Cy, who both got on. It floated off the edge. "Are you coming?" She asked with a grin. Rae and Star both floated up about two feet, while I transformed into an eagle. Suddenly, the board holding Crow, Cy, and Robin dropped.
The three of us (Star, me, and Rae) followed them down the side of the building. It happened in like two seconds, so we all reached the ground about the same time. Crow, kicked the board with her heel and it flipped up in the air and she caught it with one hand. Not bad.
She walked into the alley, "Give two seconds!" She called out, and sure enough two seconds later, she sped out on what looked like a dark purple motorcycle. She swerved and neatly stopped it in front of us. I was wrong about the motorcycle thing though. It was dark purple, but it was,and I shrieked when I found this out, a moped.
"You have a moped? Whre did you get it?" I cried, almost drooling.
"I built it myself out of scrap metal. It can go up to 240 miles per hour, once I make sure the nitro works, that is. I need to test it." She took a matching helmet off the handlebars. I looked at Cy, and I could tell he was impressed, 'cause his eyes were as wide as Star's usually are.
"Here," Robin said, "If you have an extra helmet, I'll come with you, to make sure you find the place." "Where is it?" She asked him as she tossed him a dark red helmet. How do you stay here for a couple of days and miss seeing the Tower?
"It's the building that looks like a giant T, you must have seen it." He answered. Crow thought for a moment, then said, "I think I may have, I'm not sure..." She gasped and opened her eyes wide. "Starfire!" She said joyfully (and randomly...), "Do you have a sister named Blackfire?"
"What do you know of my sister?" She asked suprisingly, I was amazed that she even knew who Blackfire (a.k.a Blazin' B) was. "Not that much," She said with a shrug. "A while ago I saved her from a black hole in one of the forbidden nebulas, I was just passing, so it was lucky I found her. I saved her, and repaired her ship for her. She told me about herself. She mentioned you, and that you were living on Earth."
" I see..." Star said quietly. Nobody said anything, there was something weird about Crow, and we wanted to know what. "Well," she asked Robin, who was thinking, "Are you coming?" "Yeah." He said, climbing on to the seat.
"I can bring another person, if someone else wants to come..." Crow started to say, but I interuppted her.
"I'll go!!" I said happily, and I climbed on the back of the seat as fast as I had been running before. "You'll want this." She said as she tossed me a dark green helmet. I pulled it on with a grin. "Tower that looks like a T, right? I think I know where to go, I accidently landed there. It's on an island, right?" She asked Robin.
"That's the place." Robin answered. He looked at the others, "We'll meet you there." He said as she backed the moped up. She turned a little, and sped away.
Riding on a moped was everything I've dreamed of. Okay, so I was behind Robin and Crow, but it was still fun.
"Umm... Crow? You're going the wrong way." Robin shouted over the engine and wind. "I know exactly where I'm going Robin, trust me." We drove a little faster and I had to grip onto Robin to stop from falling off. It seemed like Crow was counting the alleys that we past. "Thirteen." She shouted, "This is it!" She turned the moped around so we were facing the brick wall at the end of the alley. "Time to test the nitro." Crow muttered to herself. Were we like, gonna ride up the wall?
"Crow, what are you doing?" Robin asked. He sounded a little scared. "I'm going to go as fast as I can." Crow said as she turned around and grinned.
She pressed a button on the front, and there was a mechanical hum. "Crow, are you crazy?!?!" Robin yelled as she pressed the pedals as hard as she could. We zoomed past dumpsters and trash cans, coming close to the brick wall. Robin and I yelled loudly. My eyes were closed, I'm gonna die! I thought. I put my hands in front of my face, expecting a crash.
But there wasn't one. We didn't crash into a brick wall or anything actually. I opened my eyes, and saw that we were in a underground tunnel, 'cause we were surrounded by dirt and rocks.
"Crazy?" Crow shouted with a laugh to the two of us from the front, "I don't think so!"
**********************************************************************************
"I still can't believe th-." I started to say before Star's hand covered my mouth.
"Beast Boy, you must learn to be quiet. We do not want Robin and Crow know that we are eavesdropping on their conversation." Star whispered. "In other words," Rae said grimly, "Shut up."
I frowned. This spying idea Rae and Cy had wasn't all that fun. "Shh!" Cy said to all four of us. "Listen!"
Cy had used the camera built into his hand to spy on them. Since we couldn't take the chance of them seeing Cy's hand, it was hidden behind the door. The vision wasn't that good, but we were able to hear pieces of their conversation. They had decided to talk on the roof, so we followed them, but not taking the same route. Rae had brought us up here.
Anyways, Crow was floating on her board, and Robin was sitting on the ledge. From what we had heard, Crow is able to make Robin laugh easily, and the same thing the opposite way around. Cy focused the sound a little more, and we heard this.
"Mostly elem.... uff, but I can ha....e it okay" Crow's voice rang out. The door must have been interfering with the sound, 'cause there was a bunch of static.
"Are you sure? That's wh.....bout making Sod....." Robin said.
They burst out laughing for like the millionth time. Must have been some inside joke. I mean, we had plenty of those.
"You guys, I have an idea." I whispered quietly. They all turned to look at me, and I told them what I thought.
"Maybe, uhh.., Crow is somehow connected to Slade, like she's his, erm..., apprentice or something." I swallowed down sobs. "Maybe she's here to annilate us, like..." I swallowed down more sobs. "Like... she was. Maybe Crow's here for revenge for the deaths of Slade and, um..., you know..."
There was a pause. Their faces were emotionless, then Rae said. "I hate to say it, but Beast Boy is probably right. I noticed a resemblance between the two when I shook her hand. Maybe she's like Terra's sister or something."
"Or maybe not." Star said quietly. "They do not look anything alike. And besides, Robin would have mentioned something if she was related to Terra, is that not true?"
"Yeah, BB. As true as it could be, it's probably not gonna happen. She's not gonna turn out to be another, erm..."
"So what!? It's a possiblity? Does anyone wanna bet that it could happen?"
"I will."
"Okay then! It's a bet!" I grabbed the person's outstretched hand hand shook it violently. "Umm... BB?" Cy said, as if he was scared of something. "What?" I asked roughly. I looked at the hand I was shaking. It was a girl's hand. I looked up at the face of the person who's hand I was shaking. It wasn't Rae or Star. "Oh.." I said quietly, looking into her eyes.
Two people floating on a board burst out laughing.
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Robin
We couldn't help it. It was hilarious. Crow and I were laughing so hard I almost fell off the board. We shouldn't have been eavesdropping, but they were doing it first. Besides, it was worth it just to see the look on their faces.
"You should have seen your faces!" Crow said in between laughes and breaths. After about a minute, when we had stopped laughing, Cy asked us, "Uh.. I know how you went from one place to another before, but how are you in two places at once?"
"Oh, that?" She said, finally getting over her laughter. "It'sa hologram. Not one of my best either. It keeps repeating itself after about, erm..., every five minutes."
" And how many times had it reapeated itself?" Cy dared to ask.
"Oh, I'd say about six." She grinned.
"You've been listening to us for that long?" Beast Boy said, as if he didn't believe us. "Yeah," Crow said with a smirk. "Actually, we wouldn't have found you if you hadn't been talking so loudly, you gave it away."
Cyborg, Star, and Raven all turned and glared at Beast Boy, who's face was turning bright red. "I asked Crow if she would check my R-Cycle while she was here, so we're going to the garage, are you guys gonna come?" I knew that they were going to say yes, considering that they didn't trust Crow at all. I found it interesting that Crow didn't show any grudge against them for saying all those things about her. But there was Crow for you.
The six of us walked down to the garage together. I couldn't help but notice the guilt on the other Titans faces as we were going there. "You guys," I whispered to them as Crow was in front of us. "It's okay, she doesn't really hold a grrudge. Relax." I gave them a small grin and caught up with Crow.
When we got to the garage, I showed Crow the R-Cycle and told her what was wrong. She got under it and started to examine it.
"Robin," Said Cy, who seemed to fell a little less guilty now, "I'm telling you that I've checked that about four times, and the nothing is wr-."
"Found i- arghhh." She made a noise as if something had just been stuffed in her mouth. Leaving Cy in shock, I knelt down and said, "Crow, you okay?"
She pushed herself out from underneath the R-Cycle. Her entire face was covered with oil, and the only thing that really stood out were her eyes. "I'm fine." She turned to the side and spit some out of her mouth. "But you've got a crack in your generator, it's about three inches wide. That's where the problem is. I can fix it though. I just need to get something out of my moped.
Crow climbed out from the bottom of the R-Cycle and skipped over to her moped. She opened the seat, and a black blob leapt out and ran towards Star. Star shrieked and fired a starbolt at it. "Easy!" I cried, and all of them stared at me. I looked at Crow. "Is that.." "Yup." She said.
Crow knelt down and held out her arms. The black blob, who's name is Zorro, rushed into her arms. "Starfire, you like cats, right?" Star nodded. " This is Zorro. He's my cat." Two green eyes opened of Zorro's face, and Star flew over to the cat and pat his head. "May I hold him?" She asked. Her voice was so sweet and inviting. Crow placed Zorro in Star's arms, and he immeditately began to purr.
She pulled out two jars and a towel out of the compartment. She wiped her face free of oil, then quickly repaired the R-Cycle. Cy was still in shock. "I can't believe I didn't find that." He kept muttering to himself. Star and Beast Boy were enchanted with Zorro, while Raven was watching Crow intently. "Well, she said to me a couple of minute later. "Try it now." I did. It worked perfectly.
"Thanks Crow!" I said enthusiastically. I put it away, and Crow looked like she was about to leave and say good-bye when Cy said to her. "Why don't you stay a little more and do something with us, it's the least we can do."
"Yes, yes!" Star said, her voice full of joy. "I must agree! You and Zorro shall stay with us!"
Crow shrugged, "Why not?" She put her things away and asked "What are you guys doing tonight?"
Star suggested, "Let us have a stay at home movie night!" Beast Boy and Cy contradicted her. "No way! We should go out for pizza!" All three of them started arguing about our plans, then Raven joined in with her monotone voice.
After about a minute or two, I heard a shrill whistle. The four of them turned to look at me. I jerked my thumb in Crow's direction.
"If it's going to cause this much trouble, why don't we do both? If you want, I'll make pizza here and we can watch a movie." She suggested, I knew she was concealing a laugh. "I don't want to you work whi-." I started to contradict.
"Oh, it's no problem. I like cooking, especially pizza." She said with another shrug. "Oh, you can cook stuff besides soup and cereal now?" I asked jokingly. "Yeah, can you?" She answered. I chuckled, typical Crow and her sarcasm.
We went to our living room/kitchen area and showed her where the supplies she needed were. She asked us what type pizza we liked and how many slices we each ate. After she had 'interrogated' us, Crow started to work on the pizza.
While Crow worked on the pizza, Cy and Beast Boy went to go rent a movie, Raven went to meditate in her room, Star observed Crow making the pizza ("It looks just like you are making Zikos!" She had exclaimed. And Crow had answered her, "Actually, I think it's called pizza..."), and I sat down on the couch with a book. I noticed Crow's feather was still in my utility belt. I jumped up and gave it to her, and she thanked me, and placed it in her hair. Now she looked exactly like I remembered with the foot long drak purple feather in her light brown hair. I hoped my friends liked her, because maybe then she could join the Teen Titans. That would be really cool.
Beast Boy and Cy got back just in time. "Dudes, check it out." He held up the movie 'Into the Real World'. "Just out on video. Thought we'd see if it was cool. It looks like a sci-fi and action flick." Cy stated factually. "Sounds cool. Crow, Star, did you guys hear that?" I asked them. Star and Crow were now putting toppings on the pizza.
"Movie sounds great! I'm interested." Crow called over. "No, Star, wait! You put the olives on the cheese!" "Ohh..." Star said quietly, taking them off of where ever they had been and putting them where they belonged. I grinned.
Soon enough, Crow had slid the pizza on the table. "Crow, what would like as a beverage?" Star asked. "Lemonade, if you have it." She replied, while getting plates. "I am afraid we only have soda at the moment. Would you like that as a beverage?" "No thanks," she said casually. "I don't like soda."
Beast Boy practically shrieked.
"You don't like soda?!?!?!" Beast Boy said disbelievingly.
"Yeah..." She drew out her answer to let it sink in. "Lets just say if I drink it.... erm, my tastebuds don't react that well." I knew what happened when she drank soda, or when you made her laugh when she was drinking. It happened to me once, and if it had happened to somebody else, it would have been hilarious.
"The pizza is ready for eating!" Star called out. Beast Boy went to go get Raven, and Cy and I sat down at the table. After everyone was there, Crow realized she forgot to put something away in her moped, and she left to do that. As soon as she was gone, Beast Boy poured some clear soda into Crow's water.
"Beast Boy!" I said suprisingly. " I truly wouldn't do that if I were you..." I wouldn't have warned him if he hadn't been sitting across the table. He looked at me with innocence all over his face. "I just want to see what she does..."
"I'm warning you..." I said. I would have told him what happened, but just then, Crow walked through the door.
"Sorry, about that. I had to put the stuff I used earlier away." After she said that, everyone grabbed their favorite type of pizza. Mine was olives, Raven's was garlic, Star's was mint frosting and mustard (interesting combo...), Cy's was a meat combo, Beast Boy's was a bunch od veggies, and Crow's was pepperoni. Cy commented first. "This is..." He dramatically paused, "The best pizza EVER!!" He gobbled his first slice down and snatched another one. "Dude! This rocks!" Beast Boy commented. "Oh yes! Most delicious earth food!" Star announced to the whole table. "Not bad." Raven stated. "Yeah Crow. This is really, really good!"
"Glad you think so." She said with a smile. I could tell that she was happy we liked it. Crow gently put her piece down on her plate and reached for her glass of water/soda. The cup touched her lips, and everyone stared at her. She noticed. "What?" She said, wondering what she did wrong. "Nothing." Beast Boy said in a completely innocent voice. She stared hard at Beast Boy, then took a gulp of water/soda.
It all happened in about three seconds, not even, actually. Crow spit out the soda out of shock and I put my hands up to my face. When I took them down about ten seconds later, her eyes were wide and her hand was covering her mouth. I turned to Beast Boy, and he was drenched. The whole top half of Beast Boy was covered in soda. Star, Cy, and I looked back and forth to Crow and Beast Boy, and then we burst out laughing.
Raven and Crow even laughed a little. Beast Boy, however, was not amused. "This really isn't that funny..." He has said, and that only made us laugh harder. After all the laughter had stopped, Crow told him. "Now do you understand why I don't like soda?" She said comically. "Yeah," Beast Boy said, "Yeah, I think I get it."
After all the pizza was finished and compliments to the chef had been made, we all volunteered Beast Boy to do the dishes. I set up the movie, and Beast Boy asked if we wanted any popcorn. "That depends." Crow said with a smirk. "Did you drench it in soda?" We all laughed again, except for Raven who smiled. Crow seemed to know that Beast Boy had put the soda in her drink. I don't know how, but she did.
We started the movie, which wasn't all that bad. A couple of funny lines, lots of action, cool sci-fi stuff, my kind of movie. It was really late when the movie ended. You could see the harvest moon shining above Jump City. Everything looked so peaceful.
"Well." Crow said abruptly as she stood up and Beast Boy shut off the TV. "Thanks for letting me stay tonight. I had a lot of fun. It was nice to meet you all. Maybe we'll see each other again sometime." She smiled out of politeness.
"Hold on!" Cy said with a grin. "Who said you have to go now? Why don't you stay the night here, unless you already have a place..."
"Well, as of right now I sleep in an underground tunnel, so..." Crow said quietly.
"Absurd! You shall spend the night in our home, not in some underground tunnel!" Star proclaimed, her long auburn hair swirling around her. "Why not? It's the least we can do. Just as long as you cook in the morning instead of Beast Boy. We could use a better cook." Crow laughed at Raven's dry comment. "Consider it a deal." She said with a true grin.
"Here, I shall go fetch some blankets." Star said. "No, it's fine, I'll do without." Crow said kindly. "Well y'all," Cy yawned, "See you in the morning. Time for bed." He led the rest of the Titans upstairs after turning on the security systems. I stayed though, I wanted to tell Crow something.
Crow stretched out on the couch and yawned. "Robin, thank you so much for everything. I really appreciate it. This is really generous." "Don't mention it." I said with a friendly grin. "You need it, no offense."
"None taken. Well, night." She put her hands behind her head and Zorro climbed onto her chest. I leaned down near her head and said, "Crow? One more thing. Happy Birthday."
She grinned, and I walked away to my room for the night.
Oh, FYI. I'm running for class president, so don't expect a chapter real soon.

Or are they something more...
IF THEY ARE, CROWGIRL, I'M COMING AFTER YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't break up anything.....

Sorry if I messed up people when I said the edit signature thing. Oops.
This story actually focuses more on a couple of different things. Crow's past (oops), Alpha (oops), and a suprise (no oops there:anime: ). Robin + Crow doesn't really exist....
yet.
I'm not sure it will....
I know I'm running for Class President and all, but I decided to type and post this. If you are a fan of Cyborg or Crow please don't kill me....
yet.
Alright, here we go.
7- Plunge
As Seen Through the Eyes of Raven
My eyes shot open as I continued to breathe heavily while tangled in my sheets. I untangled myself, my breaths becoming lighter, and I sat up in my bed. The nightmare that I had been having for the past two weeks woke me up. Again.
I replayed the nightmare, premonition, or whatever it was in my head. How did it start.... Oh yeah...
There was a girl with long hair who was struggling against a figure, it had looked like a man. They were fighting, and the girl had been thrown back against the road. The man started to say something while walking towards the girl, and when he was practically touching her, he said one thing, and there was a shout and a light that blasted him off his feet.
It took the girl time, but she stood up, her head hanging down. Without warning, speech, or any motion, a huge piece of pavement glowing with light separated from the street and nearly flattened the man, but he rolled out of the way. More pieces of pavement nearly flattened him, but he kept dodging them. The rocks eventually stopped, and the man looked at the girl.
The girl's head was still hanging down, and she didn't move at all. Several smaller rocks floated behind her, then the rocks became as sharp as knives. The girl slowly lifted her head, revealing a pair of glowing eyes (the color wasn't clear enough to see ). She said something while grinning devilishly, then raised her arms. Two bolts of lightning struck her hands and the lightning circled her palms.
Her hands then took on another light, it looked like laser beams or something, and she said something else. She stretched her arms higher, then two simultaneous bolts of lightning shot from her out stretched hands and the rocks became incased in lightning.
She put threw arms down vertically, pointing them at the man, whose eyes were wide with fear. The rocks, still covered in lightning, flew at the man, and then... I woke up.
I thought about the girl and the man in the dream. The girl could have possibly been Terra, and the man could have been Slade. Highly unlikely, but possible. But, the more I thought about it, how could Terra control lightning? That didn't make any sense. The memory of Terra and Slade's final battle had been haunting me for a while now, and I wondered why I cared about that particular moment so much.
I suddenly realized how cold it was, and I thought of Crow. She's probably shivering by now, I thought. I should go bring her a blanket. I looked at the clock on the wall. It read 4:58. I wasn't normally up this early, I was usually up about an hour later. But like I said, the nightmare woke me up.
I put on my cloak, got a warm blanket, and I sauntered to where she was. She probably won't be awake, but still, she's probably freezing. When I got to the door, it slid open and I walked inside. I walked over to the couch where she was sleeping. I walked around to drape it over her, but she was gone.
I placed the blanket on the couch, this was not good. Where is she? She better not be snooping around the Tower, I thought as I sprinted towards the door. The only reason I wanted her to stay with us tonight was so we could learn more about her. I think that's why the others wanted her to stay here for the night too...
The door slid open and I ran through. I collided with something hard and I fell flat on my back.
I opened my eyes and I saw Crow's face. "Are you okay? You took quite a fall." She reached out towards me and I took her hand to help me stand up. "Ugh...” I rubbed my left shoulder. It stung from the fall. "Where were you? I went to give you a blanket because it's so cold and..."
"Oh, sorry about that.” She gave me a small grin. "A nightmare woke me up, and I couldn't get back to sleep. I decided to go get a book to read from my moped. The rest is history." She held up a navy blue book titled Greek Letters. The book was about a foot tall and the title was written in spindly gold lettering.
"Okay..." Sure, she had the book, but I highly doubted her story is true. It doesn't take that long to get a book, unless you're spying on people's homes...
"I'm sorry if I woke you up, did I?" She asked me. "No.” I answered her. "I had a nightmare like you did, and that woke me up." She nodded in understanding and walked back into the living room area. I followed her as she hopped over the couch and sat cross-legged on it with her book on her lap. She stared at page 137 as I sat down next to her. Noticing I was there, she looked at me and said, "You know, you don't have to stay and keep me company, I'm fine on my own. If you want you can go back to sleep..."
"There's no point in trying to go back to sleep, I won't be able to. So I'll keep you company.” If she thought I was going to let her sneak around the Tower again, she thought wrong. "So," I said as her interrogation began. "Where are you from?” "East part of Gotham." She said, still reading the words on 137. "How did you get to know Robin?” I asked her another question.
She sighed and looked me straight in the eye. "It's a rather long and sad story that I'd rather not tell you, no offense. But basically, I was put under protection for safety. And then I met Robin." What she said was true, her eyes told me so. Their shine dulled and her eyes narrowed a little. Definitely the truth.
"You don't trust me that much, do you?" Crow's voice cut through the silence like a knife. I was speechless, what should I have said? "Robin told me that all of you guys, especially you, don't trust people easily because of...” Robin better have not told her about Terra, that wasn't any of her business. "'An incident'. Those were his exact words, and I respect that. It's not my business, is it?" She grinned to herself softly.
I didn't say anything. She was clever, but a little too clever. I sensed something about her, although I didn't know what it was. It wasn't anything extremely unusual, but she seemed a lot like Terra. Could it be that somehow, the two girls were connected? I would have to find out.
Our conversation had ended about ten minutes ago, I had been silent for a long time. Crow was now looking at a different page and was silent as well. I decided to meditate. I floated up in the air about two feet and Zorro leapt up onto my lap. He curled up into a ball and started to purr. I gently pat his head. "He likes you.” Crow said abruptly. He meowed and started to purr softly again. I ignored Crow and Zorro and began to chant.
Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos....Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos...
*********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
Crow cracked her knuckles. "Okay, you asked me to cook this morning, so what am I making?” Early morning. It wasn't as late as I had hoped to sleep, but there was a storm and it woke me up. I looked out the window. Lightning flashed and rain came down hard on the glass, blurring the view. I bet that if you had looked out of the window and onto the shore, the ice cold water would be really high.
"Waffles!” I shouted as the others told her their breakfast choices. She thought for a moment then said, "If it makes it easier, I could just take personal orders. No arguing involved." She shrugged, we agreed, and each of us told her what we wanted. When BB was in the middle of telling Crow that he wanted tofu ( I still don't get how he eats that stuff...), the alarm blared. "Titans, trouble!" Robin said as he leapt out of his seat.
Everyone, including Crow, ran over to the monitor. It showed a map of the city, and then there was an arrow that pointed to the cliffs that bordered the ocean. An army of robots were destroying everything in their path. Going out in this storm and destroying an army of robots? Just a typical job for us Titans.
"Robin, I willing to bet my life that those are Alpha's." Crow grimly stated. "Crow," Robin said seriously, "Since they obviously are, I want you to come with us. You're probably the only one who knows how destroy these things. So come on, we need to get there as fast as we can. Crow, you take your moped, I'll take the R-Cycle, Star and Beast Boy will fly, and Cy and Raven, you guys will take the T-Car."
We rushed down to the garage, where we all set off immediately. It didn't take us long to get there at all. We didn't talk much on the way, I was too busy driving my baby, and Rae, well, she was just thinking.
We met at the beginning of the cliff. Robin, Crow, BB, and Star were ready to fight. Rae and I had only just got out of my baby when Robin said, "Titans, go!"
We rushed in separate directions, each of us headed towards a different robot. Crow took her sword from her sheath and ran towards the nearest one, slicing the air as she went, Robin took out his metal staff and leapt towards a robot, and Star, Rae, and BB all did the same thing.
I changed my arm into my sonic cannon, and I sprinted towards the nearest robot. I blasted it with my cannon and it stumbled. I shot it again, the beam hitting the joints in his arm. The arm that was connected to it exploded, but the other arm transformed into a laser and fired at me. I jumped out of the way.
"Hey y'all! Their joints are weak!" I shouted as my arm became cannon-free. I ran toward the robot with a yell and brought my fist into his chest. He staggered as I kept landing punches until he finally fell off the edge of a cliff.
"Boo Yah!" I exclaimed as I watched him dive into the water, which was full of sharp rocks sticking out onto the surface. A huge splash followed his plunge and I grinned. Out of the blue, two mechanical arms grabbed me and lifted me off the ground. "Yo! What the..." I looked up and saw the robot's mechanical eyes. They glowed with a reddish light. I struggled to get free, but I couldn't. There was nothing I could do. I knew enough to know I would seriously get hurt if those lasers hit me at this close of a range. I needed help.
The lasers looked like they were about to fire. They glowed a deeper red when all of a sudden, a sliver blade sliced through the head of the robot, disabling its systems. The blade continued to travel through the robot's chest until it was completely sliced in half. I pushed the arms that were holding me back away and saw Crow twirl the blade in her hands. She looked like she had been bruised severely by one of the robots or something. She had a purple mark where her stomach showed. "Um... thanks." I said quietly. She just saved my skin, so why did thanking her make me feel weird?
"Hey, anytime." She grinned. I grinned back. I looked around for more robots, and not counting the ones the others were fighting, there were about fifteen left. Yay. "Looks like we've got our work cut out for us.” Crow told me, brandishing her sword. I looked at her, and she looked at me. I felt really weird, I don't know why...
An impact on my side sent me flying with a yell. I couldn't stop myself, I couldn't grab onto anything, hit anything, or land soon enough to stay on land. I soared off the cliff and I plunged towards the water. None of the other knew how to swim, and by the time I either hit the rocks, or have fallen in the water, it would be too late. I'm too heavy to reach the surface in time alone, I sink like a rock.
I knew it, and no else could help me. I was going to drown.
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Crow
I was there, I saw the whole thing. The impact, the flying, and his plunge.
I looked around at the other Titans. They were too busy fighting their own battle, and by the looks of it, they were losing miserably. They were hurt badly, they weren't fighting that well, and it was all my fault.
I shouldn't have gotten them involved. This was a dangerous battle that has been going on for eight years. I have only put more people in danger. I feel so stupid!
I swiftly placed my sword back in my sheath. Well, I thought in my head, nobody else is dying while I'm around. If I die today, let it be by saving somebody else's skin.
I turned to face the edge of the cliff and took a deep breath. Ready or not, here I come.
I remembered Robin's words when we were talking to each other on the roof. "Crow, don't blame yourself, it's not your fault, you're innocent. Be thankful you're alive." And I had said back to him, "The rest of my family sacrificed themselves to keep me alive, you think that's an easy burden to carry?"
"No, and I truly know it's not. But Crow, you can't do this alone."
"Yes I can Robin. And I need to. I'm the only one who has fully experienced his wrath. I'm supposed to be dead, remember?"
I stood at the edge of a cliff, ready to risk my life again. Not for me, but for somebody else. It was too late to turn back now, none of the others would be able to help him, and from what Robin said, they can't swim.
I took another deep breath and started to sprint as fast as I could. In a couple of seconds I had reached the edge. I didn't stop.
I leapt off the edge, following Cyborg's path as I plunged to the rock-filled ocean's icy cold depths.
For now, I'm just going to let Crow fall, and all of you hang....

Yes... there are hints a plenty, hints galore...
But they are very subtle (or at least, some of them are...) It all depends on how good of a sleuth you are. Rank yourself somehow on a scale of 1 to 10.
I will finish my chapter soon, if people want me too, that is....:D
So... do I write more or die? (This time, it's your choice...)

Here we go, all shiny and sparkly.
Chapter 8- Giving Back
As Seen Through the Eyes of Raven
It's lucky that I looked over at Crow at that exact moment; otherwise, I wouldn't have seen her jump off the cliff. She had leapt off the cliff and willingly fallen into the water. Idiot. I only give that title to people who deserve it
I'm not going risk my life to save her. She's not my friend, and besides, I have other problems to deal with, like this robot army. Her life didn't matter to me as much as others did.
With one giant swipe, the robot's arm knocked me onto the ground. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" I shouted, and a giant rock was flung at the robot. It staggered, and lasers appeared out of its arms.
I thought in my head as I dodged the lasers, if she's going to go swim while we need help, let her die, I don't mind.
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Crow
As my hands broke through the surface of the water, I took a deep breath. I was an okay swimmer, even though I hadn't swam in awhile. I used to swim all the time awhile ago, but that was before... never mind.
The ice cold water made me shiver. I had no idea how deep down he had sunk by now, so as I propelled my arms forward and kicked my legs, I swam as far down as I could. I opened my mouth a little and I tasted salt water on my tongue. Yuck.
I forced myself to open my eyes. It was blurry with a tint of a yellowish green color. I swam down farther, the salt water stinging my eyes. I swam down a little more and I saw two glowing yellow dots. Eyes of a robot, yay (I really need to stop being sarcastic...).
As two simultaneous lasers shot from the robot's eyes, I swam upwards to dodge them. I was running out of air, if I was down here too long, Cyborg would die for sure. I swam as fast as I could until I reached the top of the water. I gulped in some air, my long hair plastered to the sides of my face. I dove down again, ready to fight the robot.
I swam down farther, my eyes fully open. More lasers shot at me, and I quickly dodged them. One grazed my shoulder and one hit me in the chest. It stung like crazy, yet it didn't hurt as much as it would have if I wasn't in numbing water. This has gone on long enough; I thought to myself, I began to focus.
I closed my eyes and pictured the robot drifting away... drifting out to sea....
I opened my eyes, and he was gone.
I swam deeper than I had before, waving my arms and thrashing my legs. I caught a glimpse of a red light deep below; it was small enough to be an eye of Cyborg's...
I swam down deeper and deeper until I was able to touch his shoulder. I swam around to get a good look at his face. His human eye was closed and he looked unconscious. Unconscious in salt water? Oh yay, more fun.
I seriously need to stop being sarcastic, I thought as I yanked Cyborg from underneath his shoulders and started to swim up. It made Robin laugh, but I'm not sure his friends would like it. I'm... not exactly normal, and Robin knows that. Would Robin's friends accept me for whom I am? No... I'd rather not tell them yet, or show them either... I hadn't even shown Robin yet, I don't even want to...
There are only a couple of things I haven't shown or told Robin about, one being what I was thinking about, and the other was my box. My box was just a fire-proof metal box that was always locked and it has some of my most personal stuff in there. Family pictures, best inventions, my diary.... Robin knows that I have it, and he has always wanted to look at it. He never has, and I don't plan to let him look at it. I told him recently that if he finds the key to open it, he can look inside. He's never found the key.
I suddenly realized how cold it was, and how much I was shivering. If I didn't get out soon, Cyborg and I could get serious cases of hypothermia, if we didn't already have it. I was running out of air, and I was under about thirteen feet of water. I was really close to passing out and I needed to get up there, because it wasn't just my life on the line...
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Raven
I walked over and helped Beast Boy up. I was breathing heavily, as were all the others. That battle had taken a lot out of us. We were torn, tired, and badly hurt. Beast Boy and I walked over to Robin and Star. "Has anyone seen Cyborg or Crow? I haven't seen them anywhere." He asked us. Now that he'd said, I hadn't seen them either. Where were they?
My emotionless voice rang out of the silence. "I may not know where Cyborg is, but I know where I can find Crow.” I said dryly. "I'll show you." I walked over to the edge of the cliff, and pointed down at the waves crashing against the rocks. Everyone looked into my eyes. "I saw her dive off. Robin, I'm starting to think your 'friend' is crazy." “ Oh, come on Rae," Beast Boy said. "Nobody would be that stupid."
"Friends! Look!" Starfire exclaimed as she pointed down into the water. "Crow is holding Cyborg! They must have fallen into the water while battling the mechanical devices!” I thought about Starfire's theory, and it made sense. Crow definitely didn't push Cyborg off, or at least I hadn't seen it. But Cyborg would have yelled or something, right?
Starfire and Beast Boy soared down to get them. "Do you still not trust her? She just risked her life to save him.” Robin said to me calmly. I didn't say anything, for I knew he was right.
Star and Beast Boy came up to the cliff, Cyborg in Beast Boy's talons and Crow's hand in Starfire's. They were gently lowered to the ground, both soaking wet. Cyborg looked unconscious; Starfire put him in her arms and floated a couple of inches off the ground. "Th-th-th-thanks-s-s St-st-star." Crow chattered as she clasped her arms to her sides trying to keep warm.
I took off my cloak and draped it on Crow's shoulders. "Th-th-th-thanks R-r-raven." She chattered again as she pulled closely around her. "What happened down there?" Robin asked her. Crow looked at him and said, "C-cyborg w-w-was knocked o-o-off the cl-cl-cliff b-b-by a la-laser s-s-so I do-dove down to sa-sa-save hi-." Her eyes closed and she fainted. Robin caught her in his arms.
"It looks like she has hypothermia, Cyborg probably does too. We need to get them back to the tower as fast as possible. Star and Beast Boy, can you fly back with them and put them under some blankets? Raven and I will handle the vehicles." Starfire and Beast Boy hastily flew back to the tower in the rain with both of them while Robin and I put the vehicles in the T-Car.
And it was that moment when I finally realized that Crow had gained everyone's trust.
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
When I woke up, I was on the living room couch under lots of blankets. I sat up, and realizing how cold I was, I pulled them closer to me. I wasn't normally cold, so I wondered why I was. Last thing I remembered was falling into the icy water...
I looked around. I don't remember coming back to the Tower, so why was I here? I saw Crow lying on the couch like I was, and she was beginning to stir. She was under more blankets than I was, and she was still shivering terribly. Did she follow me and save me?
Crow's eyes shot open. She slowly sat up clutching the blankets in her hands. "Where, where am I?" She asked, looking around and spotting me. "I think we're in the Tower. But what exactly happen back at the cliffs?" I asked her, wanting to know. "Simple." She said, wrapping a warm blanket around her like a cloak. “You fell in, I was there, I jumped in and saved you. No big deal."
"No big deal! You just saved my life! How can I thank you?" I said. No big deal? This was a huge deal. "Think of it as just... giving back what you guys have done for me." She said while slowly standing up. "Let's go see where the other's are, they probably want to talk to you." She extended her hand to help me up, and as I stood up, BB walked through the doors.
"Awesome! You guys are awake!" He bounded over to us and said enthusiastically, "The others wanted me to go see if you're awake, and now that you guys are, I'll show you where they are. Come on!" He walked over to the doors and strolled out. Crow and I looked at each other, shrugged, and followed him.
BB led us up the elevator and into one of the halls. He suddenly rushed ahead and rounded a corner. "Yo! BB! Wait up!" I shouted as I ran after him. I had only gotten about ten steps when some type of liquid covered me. "Yah!! BB!!" I said spitting the stuff out of my mouth. "What is this!?!?"
Beast Boy came into view holding a remote control with one huge button. "It's some paint I found, this pays you back for that time you turned me brown for three days!! Ha ha!" I felt something smooth run on my shoulder. I looked over and Crow was standing there with her fingertip covered with paint. "This wouldn't happen to be my paint would it?" She asked him, examining the paint.
"Well, I found it in the garage, by your moped..." He drew out the last word as his face fell. "Oh."
"You are extremely lucky I don't get angry that often." Crow said dryly. "Just next time you want to use my stuff for a prank, at least let me know." BB's eyes were wide. "You mean, you're not even gonna kill me or chase me or anything?" "Nope." She said with a small grin, as if thinking of a happy memory.
"Dude! You rock!" She sped over to her and grasped her shoulders. "Yes, I know..." She said quietly and sarcastically. "Come on, I'll show you where the others are." We followed BB again to the doorway of a dark room. "Where are we?" Crow asked him. I was about to say the same thing, but then BB opened the door. It was completely dark inside. We all walked in silently. Then four voices yelled, "SUPRISE!!"
The light was flicked on. We were standing in a dark purple bedroom. Was Crow joining the Titans? Robin walked up to her and said, "Here." He placed a communicator in her hand. "We think you deserve it for saving Cy back there. You're now officially a Teen Titan." He grinned. "Oh, welcome new friend!" Starfire exclaimed as she grabbed Crow's chest and nearly crushed her. "Yeah, welcome to the crew." Raven said in her monotone voice.
Crow was silent. She stared at her communicator. "I..I don't know what to say. You guys have done so much for me. If there was any way I could thank you guys..."
Robin placed his hand on her shoulder. "Crow, you're our friend, and now a Titan. You've helped us, and we've just.. given back. You don't have to do anything." She let out a small grin. "Thanks." I grinned. Crow would be awesome on the team. She can kick butt, build mopeds, and cook pizza. Plus, she just saved my life. She deserved it.
"Perhaps I shall go make us the lunch meal?" Star asked. "Yeah, I'm starving!" Beast Boy said as he and Star left the room. Robin looked at Crow, "While they're cooking, you can move your stuff into your room if you want. We'll call you when lunch is ready." Crow nodded, Robin grinned, and He and Raven left the room. I started to leave, but I noticed Crow was still silent. I walked towards her. "Is everything okay?" I asked her, worried that something was wrong. "You don't have to join the team if you really want to..."
"Oh no, this is one of the best things that's ever happened to me. It's just... I feel bad for Beast Boy."
"Why?" I asked her confused. Did she know about Terra and how he felt?
"He used my paint for his prank."
"Well, yeah, but I thought you said you didn't get mad often." I said, even more confused.
"Yeah I know. It's just, I don't get mad that often..." She paused and looked me in the eye. In her purple eyes was a glint I hadn't seen before. "I just get even instead."
I couldn't help but grin.

You know, I really was going to say that....
Ah well. i slaved over my computer this morning to get it up today. I think it's one of the best chapters I've written so far. Tell me if you agree.
Did anyone see Revolution last night? I thought it was hilarious. I apologize to all the British people reading this, but I thought it was wicked funny.
Ah well. Here we go. Reading this brand new all shiny and sparkly chapter.
Chapter 9- Not Exactly Normal
As Seen Through the Eyes of Beast Boy
It's been a little more than a week since Crow joined the Titans, and I'm really glad she did. Crow's is totally, seriously, wicked, really, really cool. From what I've seen, she had a great personality. No matter what Rae thinks.
I've learned a little about her, about what she likes, dislikes, and has fun doing. She likes action and sci-fi movies (like the one we watched when she was here first), video games (Cy challenged her when she said she liked video games, and she totally creamed him! Crow actually got the new time-speed record on that game!), likes mechanics, and she definitely likes to read. In her spare time, while she's waiting for something or just hanging around in her room she has this dark blue book, called Greek Letters, which she reads. It looks like it's a history book or something 'cause it's about three inches thick. She reads it nonstop.
One of the weird things about Crow is I haven't seen her laugh that much. I've only seen her laugh when Robin had said some type of inside joke that the two must have or something, because every time someone else says something funny, all she does is grin. After Robin gave her a tour of the city, I think she was having trouble breathing she had laughed so hard at what he had said. Maybe I just need to tell some of my funnier jokes to her, that should make her laugh, right?
Another weird thing about Crow is that she hasn't mentioned Alpha, that guy she was fighting when we first met her, at all. I talked to Rae and Cy about this, and they said that it appears that their battle is like Robin and Slade's. They also said that Robin probably knows about it, and that unless something drastic happens, we shouldn't get involved.
Before I had really gotten to know Crow, I thought she was a lot like Terra. The truth is, she really isn't. She may look like Terra a little bit, but she has no unnatural powers and she doesn't like a lot of the same things as Terra. I guess it just goes to show that nobody can ever replace the people you love the most.
I woke up about ten minutes ago and am looking for my nail clippers. My nails are getting long and they really need to be clipped. I knew that the others were already in the living room and probably cooking breakfast. I hoped Crow was cooking something, she was a great cook! I think she made waffles and bacon a couple days ago, and the waffles were so good! The bacon, well, I'm a vegetarian, remember?
The doors to the living room slid open and I strolled through. I saw Cy was cooking breakfast (darn), Robin and Star were talking quietly, Rae was meditating, and Crow was reading that book (again). "Hey, has anyone seen my mail clippers?" I called out. I must not have been loud enough, because Crow was the only one who looked up. She looked at me, and after a couple of seconds she started to grin. A couple more seconds, she was fully cracking up about something.
"What? I don't get it." I looked around, the others were looking at me now, and they had wide grins on too. "What? What's wrong?" After I said that, everyone started laughing hysterically.
Was this some kind of joke? It wasn't funny at all, and believe me, I know when something is funny or not. Yet Crow was rocking back and forth clutching her sides, Cy was laughing so hard the pancakes were burning, Robin was pounding his fist on the table, Star was laughing as hard as Robin, and Raven laughed more than I had ever seen, which sent some plates flying into the air.
"WHAT IS SO FUNNY?" I shouted out of confusion. Still laughing, Crow gestured for me to come over and I practically ran. She drew her sword out of its sheath and held it up to my face. I saw a sliver of my reflection.
I wasn't green anymore. I. Was. Bright. Yellow.
I shrieked and they all laughed even harder. After about five minutes, I rounded on them. "Who turned me yellow? And why?" I glared at Cy. He was still getting over his laughter, "It.. wasn't... me.." He said between a mix of laughs and breaths. I rounded on Robin, Star, and Raven, all of whom said no. "Well, if you guys didn't then who did?" I yelled out of confusion and anger. "Oh yeah... that was me."
I wheeled around and looked at Crow, who was still holding her book about a foot away from her face, which was emotionless. "And why?!?!?!" I nearly shouted at her.
"You shouldn't have used my paint for your prank on Cyborg." "You said you don't get mad often?!?!" I was shouting now.
"Oh, I don't. I get even instead." They all snickered softly. This was not funny at all. "Dude, what is your deal?!?! You think this is even? This is way more than even!!! This is, like tor-."
"I never knew we had a sour lemon in the bunch, did you guys?" They all shrieked with laughter. What was so funny? Oh, wait. I'm bright yellow, lemons are too.... Wait! That isn't funny either!
"Dude, are you insane? Your jokes are not funny at all. And I know funny! I mean, look at you! You sit there reading your nasty old book like Rae does, and that is like, all you do! Greek Letters? Why choose that book out of all the books ever! And Alpha, that guy you were fighting when we met you, he was right! You do act just like a boy! You read, play video games, like sci-fi and action movies, he definitely was right! You're probably not even a girl!!! But you're not exactly normal, now are you!?!?!?"
No laughter, no sarcastic remark, nothing. Pure silence. I looked around at the others. Raven's face was emotionless again, Star wore no smile, and Cy and Robin's eyes were literally boring a hole in my bright yellow skin. I warily looked over at Crow. Her eyes were no longer on her book, they were glaring at me. Oops.
She slammed her book shut while continued to glare at me. She uncrossed her legs and placed her book on the couch and walking over to me, still glaring. I got scared. She looked like she was about to walk over and smack me because of what I said. She walked over until she was about six inches away from my face.
"So, you really think I act like a boy? That I'm not a girl? Like I haven't heard that before." She didn't yell, scream, or shout. She spoke at a normal volume so they all could hear her. There was a cold edge to her voice that I had never heard before. "Beast Boy, you don't even know anything about me. In case you don't know, you can't judge a person on what they like or dislike. It helps to know about their past too."
"In case you're wondering, the only other people who have told me that I act like a boy are Alpha and my family. And I wouldn't care that much if Alpha hadn't changed my life drastically, don't you think? I am the only person that survived his most dangerous attack. And I got this as a result." Crow lifted up her left sleeve. I heard Star and Cy gasp, and I gasped too.
From about three quarters up her arm and to her shoulder, the skin was the color of Cy's with a tint of red. She angrily yanked her sleeve down while still glaring at me. "I have another one on the back of my neck and one on my leg. Lovely souvenirs, don't you think? Sure, Beast Boy, I act like a boy. I may not be happy with the way I am, but you know what? When I care what you think , I'll let you know."
And with a single glare at me, she walked out with long strides. I just stood there. I don't think I've ever seen anybody, not even Rae, that mad before.
"Nice going Beast Boy." Rae's monotone voice rang out. I angrily walked over to her. "You think that this is my fault!?!" I shouted in her face. "Uh.. Yeah." She answered unemotionally.
"Man, you were really harsh. All she did was prank you back. I've done it before, you've never gotten that mad at me." Cy said, trying to fix the burnt-to-a-crisp pancakes. "HELLO!!! She turned me BRIGHT YELLOW!!! Am I not supposed to get mad!?!"
"Beast Boy, the problem isn't that she turned you yellow, it's the fact that you insulted her deeply and you're okay with that." Robin folded his arms and leaned back in the booth. "She is extremely uncomfortable with her past, and you had to go insult her about what other people think about her. Even though she doesn't care that much, she was still offended. And another thing, if you think she's mad now, you've never seen anything yet."
"Does the fact that she turned my BRIGHT YELLOW mean nothing to you?"
"Yes." Star piped up. "It show us all that Crow turned you bright yellow because you deserve it."
They all returned to what they were doing after that, it seemed like they didn't want anything to do with me. I walked out of the room in anger and disgust. Why did they not see my side of what happened? Why did they seem to take Crow's die even thought they've known me longer?
And why was Crow so uncomfortable about her past?
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
I know Robin said that we should let Crow be alone, but she's been alone from sunrise to sunset, literally. BB was pretty harsh with her before, so I just want to see if she was okay. She seemed really ticked off at what he had said.
So far, I had checked all the rooms, the basement, the gym, the evidence room, and the garage. As I walked from room to room I thought of what she had said to BB earlier.
'Beast Boy, you don't even know anything about me.'
'I may not be happy with the way I am...'
'When I care what you think, I'll let you know.'
Crow definitely had a way with words, especially when she was trying to intimidate people. She had BB rooted to the spot when she spoke to him. She reminded me of Rae when she was mad.
As I walked up the stairs to the roof, I heard a soft voice. Was Crow talking to someone? Robin? Star? BB? The farther up I walked, the clearer the voice became. Yeah, definitely Crow's voice, it sounded like she was definitely saying something, but who was she talking to?
I quietly opened the door and peered out. At first I was blinded by the light of the sun, but I squinted and I eventually saw that Crow was silhouetted against the tangerine colored sun. She was alone, yet she was still saying something. No scratch that, she was singing.
Her voice was beautiful, no other way to describe it. I closed my eyes (or eye, whatever..) and listened to her sing.
'Every time I try to fly,
Somethin' brings me down
Like a weight, pressin' on my back....
I don' t know what it is,
Don't know how to fight it either...
But it's been holdin' me down for too long...
I don't like being in this cage,
I want to be somewhere where I can be me.
But the place I'm tryin' to get to, is way out of my reach....'
Crow's voice was, well, extremely soothing. It was as if she put all her emotion into her voice. Even on my CD's there wasn't a voice that could match her's. I listened to what she was singing now.
'I'm just tryin' to fly...
Spread my wings and touch the sky.
I just want to soar...
Find my ray of light, my open door.
But why can't I find it....
Am I not strong enough?
Have I not been through enough?
Is there a reason why...
Every time I try to fly...
I fall.'
She held the last note for a couple of seconds and let it waver. She broke off, sighed, and put her head down. It seemed Crow poured out her soul in that song, it was definitely emotional. I closed the door with a soft click. I knew she would find out I was listening eventually. "That was... really, really good." I said in awe, my voice cutting through the silence.
She spun around, eyes wide with shock. She must have not heard me before. "How long have you been listening?" She asked softly, while light pink patches appeared on her cheeks. "Long enough." I grinned as I walked towards her, and she grinned back. I sat down beside her. She was hugging her knees to her chest, and staring at her sword which was laid out in front of her. The blade glimmered with the sun's final rays. I noticed it had stones embedded in the handle.
"Are you okay?" I asked her gently. "After you spoke to BB, you had him rooted to the spot. Ever since then you've been by yourself, did he tick you off that much?" "No, I'm alright, it's just, well, when Beast Boy yelled at me, he reminded me of somebody who has done... things that cannot be forgiven. Not to be rude or anything, but I meant exactly what I said. I just got really ticked off, that's all."
Neither of us said anything for about a minute. I tried to think of a conversation starter, but Crow had one first. "When I graduated from my tai-kwon-do school, my sensei gave me this sword. He told me to use it well, and that I deserved this blade because I was different from the rest. I was strong, wise, courageous, and unique. More unique from the rest."
"When I first got this sword, it one had one stone in it, a dark purple stone." She gently picked up the handle and rotated it to show me the stone. "That one is mine. The others stand for my current friends. Black, orange, green, red, and light blue." She twirled the handle around to show me all of the stones. They stood for all of the Titans, I could easily tell whose was whose. "I had another stone on here, it was yellow. My friend died in an... accident." Her face fell slightly, as if in a guilty way.
"Beast Boy was right. I act like a boy, hate soda, and have the only pair of purple eyes in my family. I even looked it up to be sure. Beast Boy was definitely right, I'm... not exactly normal, whether I like it or not. I don't fit in anywhere." She sighed and put her face on her knees. More silence. Crow was wrong about the fitting in thing.
"Crow," I said gently, "You're wrong. In the Titans, we have an alien, a telekinetic goth, a, well, whatever BB is," She lifted up her head and smiled. "A crazy teen with cool gadgets, and a half-human half-robot. You don't fit in? You're more normal than all of us put together. You fit in fine."
"No Cy, I really, really am not exactly normal. You... you wouldn't understand." I grinned. "Crow, I'm half-human, half-robot. Try me." Crow sighed again. "It's... really hard to explain. I don't think you would ge-."
Our communicators beeped and we answered them instantly. "Crow, Cy, get down here as fast as you can. We have an emergency!" We both stood up and I headed for the door. "Umm... Cy?"
I looked back at Crow. "I know our conversation was mostly one-sided, but I wanted to say, erm, thanks for coming to see if I was okay. It means a lot to me." She smiled sheepishly at me, and I smiled back. I was half-way to the door when only Crow's communicator beeped.
She whipped it out and said, "Robin, no need to call twice, we're on our way." "I know Crow, it's just..." As Robin paused, the only sound I heard was Crow's footsteps as she passed me on her way to the door. "What?" Crow asked, sounding a little worried.
"It's just that... it's Alpha himself."
Without a word, Crow slammed her communicator shut, threw open the door, and barreled down the stairs, forgetting I was there.

Has anybody besides Rae and Unix picked up any hints? Stuff will be cleared up soon.

Here we go, my shiny and sparkly chapter.
Chapter 10- The Secret's Out
As Seen Through the Eyes of Starfire
As I soared downtown with bright yellow Beast Boy at my side, I pondered who this Alpha was. When Crow had gotten down to the living room, she walked directly to the screen and stared at it. Robin began to tell her what the screen said. All Crow did was nod and murmur. When my friend Beast Boy tried to talk to her, she had not responded at all.
Now Beast Boy was not in a well disposition, and we were soaring over our beloved Jump City. It seemed when Crow came here, she brought a new foe with her, Alpha. It was his robots that nearly defeated us earlier and it was he who Crow was in combat with when we met her. Crow told us that he has the ultimate weapon and we are completely helpless against it. We must avoid it at all costs, or many lives will be at great risk.
It appeared that Beast Boy and I reached the ground of battle first. Nobody was there. I landed and Beast Boy transformed back into his normal self. "It appears that our scanners were wrong, for the ground of battle is empty." I told him as he examined the ground. "Dude, no way. Our scanners are never wrong, Cy built them. Now if Crow built them, then I might think they were wrong."
"I do not understand your meaning.” I said confused. What was my friend talking about? "I mean that I don't trust Crow at all! We haven't even known her for a week and she's already turned me bright yellow!" He shouted his face was serious; he was not doing the joking.
"You are saying that you do not trust Crow because she turned you yellow. Crow could have said that she did not trust you because you wasted her paint. Yet she did not. What she did should have taught you a lesson, yet it appare-."
An impact on my side forced me backwards. I screamed, and as I was about to crash into a wall made of brick, something stopped me. I looked into the arms of my savior, it was Robin on his vehicle, and he was smiling. "Robin!" I exclaimed joyfully, happy to see him. "Don't mention it." He said as I flied out of his arms, looking in the direction the blast had came from.
"Well, what do you know, the gang's all here." A cold voice issued as I heard Cyborg's car and Crow's vehicle come into downtown. "What do you want here Alpha?" Crow yelled while the foe called Alpha stepped out of the darkness. "Exactly what I got. Behold my new creations!” Alpha thrust his arms into the air and two new mechanical devices followed. They were like the ones that we had fought before, yet they were taller, wider, and more heavily armored.
"Titans, go!" Robin shouted as he leapt from his vehicle and threw a disk at one of the mechanical devices. It hit the mechanical device's chest, yet there was no mark made. I shot starbolts from both my eyes and hands at the mechanical device's head, yet the result was the same as Robin's. The mechanical device's arms morphed into lasers and simultaneously shot at Robin and me. We both crashed back into the wall made of brick with a yell.
Sprawled out on the ground, I attempted to move. I could not. I was paralyzed for the time being. Who knew how long this effect would last?
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Beast Boy
With a yell, I crashed into the robot's back as an eagle. Hard as Rae's head, I'll tell you. I slunk down the robot's back as it turned around to see what had hit it. Its gaze landed on me in my normal form, and I froze. Oh no. Its eyes started to glow a blood red. I was toast.
As quick as lightning, Crow landed on the robot's head, whipped out her sword, and plunged it into the robot's metal shell. The eyes automatically dimmed and Crow yanked her blade out of the robot's head and stood on its shoulders. I only looked up at her. She turned me bright yellow, she doesn't deserve a thanks.
The robot's eyes glowed back into life. Crow hadn't shut it down. The robot reached an arm above its head to try to grab Crow, but she was way head of it. She jumped up into the air and sliced off the robot's hand. Then she brought the blade down with a yell and cut through the robot's head. The robot's eyes were still glowing a deep red as she slid the sword down to its chin. With a yell, she yanked out her sword and sliced off the robot's head in one sweeping motion.
As the robot's head hit the pavement the rest of the robot staggered and then fell. Crow landed softly on the ground and twirled the sword in her fingers. I only looked away at the rest of the fight. Star and Robin were laying spread-eagled on the street, surrounded by bricks and concrete. I looked at Rae and Cy who were fighting the other robot. The robot and Cy were shooting lasers at each other while Rae was chucking things at it. One of the robot's lasers missed Cy and Rae and ricocheted off of a mirrored display window. It headed towards me and Crow.
Crow leapt out of the way brandishing her sword. The laser hit my chest and I was flung backwards. I slammed into the store window and I shattered the glass behind me.
Then all I saw was the color black.
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Raven
"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!!" I shouted as crackling black energy erupted from my hands and soared to the robot's torso. The robot only staggered, there was no mark or anything. It seemed indestructible. I heard a yell that could only belong to Cyborg, and spun around to watch him use his sonic cannon to blast the robot. As the sonic blast ricocheted off of the metal shell, a laser from the robot's arm bolted towards Cyborg and knocked him off his feet towards the brick wall.
I looked around. The only people fighting still were me and Crow. Our friends were knocked out on the ground, not moving at all. Maybe they couldn't. Maybe they were paralyzed by the lasers. Maybe they were unconscious, or worse.
I heard another battle cry and I saw Crow slicing the air with her sword. She jumped onto its shoulder and hacked away at the robot's neck. The robot lifted its arm at her and it fired a laser beam at her. Crow was too quick though, she spun her sword around in a circle, blocking the harmful part of the beam. Yet she still went flying. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!"
I sent chunks of concrete at the robot, which made it stagger yet again. As I kept hurling rubble at it, Crow stealthily hopped onto the robot and plunged her sword into the skull of the robot. Its eyes still glowed red as she sliced off the robot's head. Its eyes dimmed and the robot fell backwards, yet it still had time to shoot a final laser at me.
It was too fast to dodge. The beam struck my chest and it flung me against the brick wall, near Robin and Starfire. I was paralyzed, but I was sure it was temporary. I saw Starfire and Robin twitch a little bit and open their eyes. I was lucky I was still able to see what was going on.
Panting, Crow stood solo in the middle of the scene. I heard a lone, solid clapping sound from the shadows. "Bravo Crow." Alpha stepped out of the shadows. "I should have known you would be the last person standing. Luckily, I brought you a special treat." I saw Crow's eyes widen at his words. "Not your bo-." She said breathing heavily. Alpha pulled out a gun with a rectangular slot out of his belt. "Oh no Crow, that comes later."
With a devilish grin, Alpha fired the laser at Crow. Realizing it too late, Crow was hurled against the pavement with a scream of pain. Crow struggled to stand up as Alpha walked towards her. "I should have killed you the first time, like I did with everyone else." Alpha fired the laser again at Crow, whose outfit was torn and her skin was covered in bruises and skid marks.
"But you know what? I'm sort of glad I didn't kill you then, because then I would have nobody to gloat to." He didn't even wait for Crow to stand up as he fired at her again. She moaned with pain. Alpha stood still for a moment as she watched her attempt to get up. "You are truly your mother's daughter, never giving up the impossible.” He mocked her as she was flung by the beam once again. "And your brother and sister, they were just as weak as you."
Crow wasn't putting up a good fight, she was just a target that Alpha kept shooting at. Crow was struggling, and Alpha was just watching her. Was Alpha talking about the part of Crow's past that was so uncomfortable? Was Alpha not just any old foe? As I saw Crow struggle again, something struck my memory about this scene...
"And you know what? With a family like yours, you should be glad I picked them off." He fired at her again, and by this time, she was too hurt to scream with pain. "And you want to know the best part of killing what was left of your family?" He walked close to her and knelt down near Crow, who now had several gashes on her body. "Listening to them scream."
"STOP!!!" Crow shouted finally as if she had been biding her time. A light pink flash of light sent Alpha flying into the nearest wall. I looked at both of them as they each tried to stand up. It took time, but Crow got on all fours as she pushed herself up, head hanging down, feet apart, and knees close together. She looked as if she was in great pain.
Her long hair covering her face and neck, Crow and Alpha's deep breathes were the only noises you could hear. All of a sudden, a loud rumbling sound shook the ground as a large piece of pavement rose, encased in a golden light. Alpha looked at it, his eyes wide with fear, and rolled out of the way, as it nearly flattened him. Smaller pieces of pavement rose colored with the same light, and tried to squash him, yet he always kept scampering out of the way.
I looked at Crow, whose head was still hanging down, and I realized where I had seen this before. The dream I had before we fought those robots, it wasn't Terra and Slade fighting, it was Crow and Alpha. Terra and Crow had the same powers? Why didn't she tell us? My head was so full of questions that I finally knew how it felt for Beast Boy to think.
At least a dozen rocks hovered in the air behind Crow. Alpha's eyes were wide with fear. "What's the matter Alpha, scared?" Crow said tauntingly, slowly lifting up her head. Her eyes were glowing an electric purple. She raised her arms and two forks of lightning struck her hands, the lightning started to circle her palms.
"Because if you're not." Crow said. Her voice was a cross between devilishly and angry, and for some odd reason, she was grinning. As lightning circled her fingers, her palms took on a pink light. I became even more confused, the only person who I knew could do that was.... Blackfire.
Two additional forks of lightning shot down from the sky and covered all the sharp rocks that were floating behind Crow. She raised her arms up directly above her head, and finally finished what she was saying. "You should be."
With a yell, Crow thrust down her arms, hurling the glowing rocks at Alpha.

Okay, new chapter, all shiny and sparkly. Here we go.
Chapter 11- The Duplicate Curse
As Seen Through the Eyes of Crow
When you are getting to know me, here are three things that you never, never, ever want to do:
3) Never make fun of my friends.
2) Never, ever make fun of family.
1) And never, never, never, never, NEVER, EVER make me use my powers!
It's a fact you'll regret it if you do any of those things.
I flung the pointy rocks at Alpha with my hands. I knew I was using Terra's powers, and I probably shouldn't, but it was the one I could use the best. Yeah, the one I could use the best. Anyways, the rocks soared at Alpha, trailing electricity and dirt. Alpha was quick, even though I had used a mix of starbolts and lightning against him. He yanked out his gun and speedily zapped each rock. Except for one.
The rock collided with his chest and flung him back, but he fired one more shot. It was headed for my torso and it would be too late to do anything else but fly. I hadn't tested Star's power yet, but I had to try. Okay, fly! I thought. I wasn't moving. How do I fly? I was desperate. I thought random things: Basketball, flowers, my new friends...
I soared upper-right, narrowly missing the ray. I probably had to think of something happy. Yeah, that was probably it. I could feel the heat radiating from the glow in my eyes. I wasn't mad yet, but if Alpha kept this up, I would be soon. I spread my hands out towards Alpha and pink waves emitted from the tips of my fingers. Jinx's powers. Ever since I got them, some form of luck has been on my side. Ha, ha. Bad joke, I know.
The waves hit a brick wall, and the bricks fell, almost hitting Alpha. Almost wasn't good enough. Alpha stood up and scrambled to the nearest alley, he was trying to run away. "Oh, what's the matter Alpha? Had enough already?" My voice had a gravelly tone to it, probably because my emotions were feeding my powers. It didn't always sound like that.
I closed my eyes and focused. Water...fire hydrant...now! My eyes shot open and water was bursting from the top of the fire hydrant. Cool! I bent my fingers and the water soared towards Alpha. It surrounded his neck and it zoomed towards the brick wall and fastened to it. Thinking of putting Alpha in jail, I flew over to him. I hastily drew out my sword and placed the newly sharpened tip on the center of his forehead.
"Any last words?" My voice still had that gravelly tone to it, why wouldn't it go away? "Yes,” He said. Why was he grinning? "When I kill you, please don't cry." His foot slammed into my chest and I soared back and collapsed on the pavement. I lost concentration over the water. Note to self, when securing somebody to a wall; make sure you don't forget their legs and arms.
Alpha walked towards me while twirling his laser gun between his fingers. "My advice to you, next time, secure my arms and legs." He pointed the laser at me. "Good-bye." He pressed the trigger, and a wide red laser shot at me. I couldn't dodge it; I had one chance to do this right. I lifted up my arm, palm facing Alpha, and a jolt of electricity ran through my fingers and left them.
The bolt was strong, I had loaded it. It clashed with the laser and they both fought for power over the other. Alpha had shot another laser and was now holding the trigger to make the beam more powerful. I had to focus my thoughts extremely hard; this was draining my energy fast. I couldn't keep this up for much longer. I looked over to Robin and the others, who were attempting to stand up. I looked back at the lasers, and since I couldn't keep this up, I used an extra burst of energy to power the jolt.
The light was blinding, I squinted at the burst of orange. I was winning, but I needed more power, something more. Distracting him might work, but it would be risky, for me, that is. I had to focus doubly as hard. I closed my eyes and yelled of pain. It felt as if my head was going to burst. A large piece of pavement separated from the ground and rose, covered in Terra's golden light.
The jolt coming from my hand weakened, and I lost all concentration. The rock fell with a crash and the light faded. I looked at the jolt and laser fighting. The ruby laser was closing in fast. I looked into the laser and my weakened jolt. And then...
They say when you die; you see all black, then a white light at the end of the tunnel. I saw black, like they say you do, but the light I saw was not white, but a blood red.
After that, it was all black.
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Starfire
I was sitting by her side when it happened. When I was able to move, my friends and I brought the unconscious Crow back to the tower. We were all puzzled with what we had seen, and the foe Alpha had gotten away. We had put her on her bed and ever since then we had been waiting for her to wake up.
Beast Boy had said nothing since we were able to move. I suspect that he is distraught over the fact that Crow has Terra's power. I have discussed with Raven what the possibilities are that she is what we think she is. However, we must question her first to see if she is what the legends say.
We had been sitting by her side for thirty earth minutes when it happened. All of a sudden Crow glowed with a green light, the color of my starbolts. The glow started from her feet and it spread to her forehead. As the light spread over her body, all her cuts, bruises, and gashes disappeared. She was healed.
Yet that was not all. After the light passed through her still unconscious body, a glowing orb of the same green light came out of her chest and hovered in the air for a time period. Then, it slowly floated towards my hand. It grazed the tips of my fingers and somehow my fingers absorbed it. A sharp tingle traveled through my arm and into my shoulder. Then it disappeared.
"Are you alright?" Robin asked me, jumping up from his chair and grabbing my hand. "I am undamaged, and look! Our friend Crow is beginning to wake!" Robin turned towards Crow, as well as Cyborg and Raven. Beast Boy merely lifted his head. I believe that Beast Boy is upset because he was reminded of Terra when Crow and Alpha were in battle.
Crow slowly opened her eyes and slowly sat up, moaning. She rubbed her arm and asked us, "Erg... what happened?" Crow looked dazed as she gazed into Robin's eyes. "We carried you back to the tower after Alpha ran. Crow, I know you told me you could do this, but you need to explain this more clearly and tell everybody." "Yeah, what did you do?" Cyborg questioned Crow in a soft tone. "I've seen other people use those powers, but not all of them at once."
Crow sighed. "Okay, I'll tell you. It's really hard to explain, because I have no idea how it actually works." She straightened herself, and we all sat down. Beast Boy was now staring at the floor. "When I was about thirteen, I met somebody for the first time. When I shook his hand, there was an explosion or something and I was forced back. Next day I woke up and I had the same powers as he did."
"It seems like the more people I meet the more powers I take control of. Somehow, I'm able to duplicate their abilities and use them however I want. But I have no control of the powers I take; my ability has a mind of its own." Crow sighed again. Her eyes were full of sorrow and misunderstanding. "That's all I know about what I can do."
There was an unnatural pause, until I spoke up. "Crow, I believe I may know more about what you can do." She hastily lifted up her head, and everyone turned to look at me. "I seem to recall an old legend about a person with a gift like yours. There was a person like this every century, only one throughout the entire galaxy. This person was called the duplicate, who had a truly remarkable gift."
"Gift? This is no gift, this is a curse." Crow scoffed. "My life used to be normal, but now..." Her voice died out, leaving another unnatural pause. "So..." Robin broke the silence. "You said you could control mostly elemental stuff, but whose powers do you have?"
Crow pondered for a moment, and then said. "Um... Aqualad... Lightning... Jinx... oh!" She turned towards me with a guilty look on her face. "I have to apologize. I accidentally copied your flying ability when I shook your hand. Sorry." Crow closed her eyes again and listed names. "Let's see... Blackfire, you... and, erm... Terra."
Crow looked guilty once again. "Um... we've actually met all of those people." Raven said in her emotionless voice while wearing her emotionless face. Beast Boy finally spoke up. "Why didn't you tell us you've met Terra?" Crow gazed at her sheets. "I didn't tell you beca-." Her head suddenly popped up. "Wait a minute, you've met Terra?"
"Yeah, very recently actually. Why?" Raven said again. "When I met Terra, we hung out together for a little while, since we were both running. I accidentally took her power, and one night, I don't know who, but one of us caused and earthquake and I never saw her again. Is she here?" Her eyes glimmered with rays of hope. Robin and I exchanged glances, should we tell her? "Robin, what's wrong? What don't I know?" Crow's voice had a hint of worry, and it showed in her eyes. Robin placed his hand on her shoulder and he said, "Crow, there's something you should know."
Robin calmly explained to her what had happened with Terra. Crow said nothing, yet I could tell she was in despair. When his tale was over, Crow said nothing. After a while Crow finally spoke. "Take me there." She said quietly.
**********************************************************************************
As Seen Through the Eyes of Beast Boy
I didn't know Terra and Crow had been so close. If I did, I would have treated her differently. I should apologize to her, and ask her how to get rid of this dye.
We led Crow to Terra's grave. She stared at the statue for a minute, and then walked away. Crow knelt on the ground and spread out her palms, making an oval-shaped rock rise. Crow calmly carried it over and placed it next to her plaque. She cupped her hands over it and a faint golden light shone from within. Crow stared at the statue once again, then removed her hands and sauntered away.
A uniquely beautiful carved stone rose now lay next to the plaque, and it showed that Crow really cared.
Thank you for finally updating!

I didn't even think about how she's like Rouge, but can't she just drain other people's energy?
The end? I don't think so, remember, Alpha is still out there, the box is in his possesion, and Crow needs her revenge. The end? I don't think so. I've hinted on plenty of things that are still to come.

Okay, sorry it took so long for me to post, but the only computer that has internet in my house is messed up, so It's taken me awhile to get on.
Okay, here it is, the next shiny chapter. This one is for all us Greek Mythology fans.
Chapter 12- Pandora's Box
As Seen Through the Eyes of Robin
Most of the Titans had settled down in the living room. I told Crow that she should tell us about Alpha's box, and for some reason, she agreed. I think Crow would have probably argued, but she had just seen Terra the day before. She was pretty down after that. But now she's, well, more like the Crow I used to know. She makes more jokes, she challenges us to video games, she talks more now, it's like she's finally realized she fits in with us perfectly.
When Raven finally walked in, Crow stood up and walked towards the sink. "Um... Crow? What are you doing?" She turned on the faucet. "Creating a visual." Water poured out and after a while, Crow finally stopped it. I was about to say something when Crow walked back to the couch and hopped over the edge to sit down. As we all stared at Crow, she closed her eyes as they started to glow a light shade of purple. A clear, wavering blob of water rose out of the sink and floated near to the center of the couch area, above the coffee table.
"Okay, here we go." The blob of water started to take shape. "The weapon that Alpha has is really just called the box. Very imaginative." The blob of water took the form of an intricate box. "The box is basically a copy of Pandora's Box. Pandora's Box is a Greek myth, which makes sense, seeing that alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet."
"See, the myth of Pandora's Box goes like this. Zeus, the King of the Greek Gods was angry at the mortals' ignorance. He created Pandora and gave her a box, which he told her never to open. Eventually, curiosity got the better of her and she opened the box."
It was amazing how Crow made the water bend to her will. I know that Aqualad could do the same thing, but as Crow told the story, intricate people and shapes took form. It was like watching a 3-D movie, but you weren't wearing any glasses.
"See, when the box was made, Zeus put all of the 'evil things in the world' in that box, and when Pandora opened it, they flew out. Jealousy, hunger, death, it was all there. But Pandora closed the box before hope, which was at the bottom of the box, left it. This doomed the world to complete misery." The water became a hovering blob once again.
"Geez, talk about genius." Beast Boy whispered loudly. I was about to comment when the blob of water zoomed towards Beast Boy and plastered itself against his face. Crow hates when people comment about how smart she is. She was taunted for it at school. "Oops." Crow said dryly, we all snickered softly. Beast Boy starting yelling something, but all we heard were gargled sounds. Eventually Crow removed the water from his face, grinning as it floated back to the center of the couch area.
"As I was about to say, Alpha's weapon is basically a copy of this. When the box is opened, well, you've seen what comes out. As logical as this sounds, once it enters your body, it automatically puts you under Alpha's control. He can make you do anything, and the worst part is, you don't even know you're doing it. It can't be fought, can't be blocked, Alpha gets total control of you. But the second to worst part is, it can do that to about one hundred people at once."
The water had formed into Alpha's box and showed a person standing there. A spirit floated out of the water box and entered the person. After that, the water became a blob once again. It floated gently over to the sink and collapsed there. I looked back at Crow who had opened her eyes. "What we need to do is basically steal it. Since he carries it around in his belt, next time we see him we should be able to take it. But it can't be opened, like I said, we would be automatically put under his control. Any questions?"
I had one. "What if we opened the box near Alpha? Would he be put under his own control, forcing him to become a vessel waiting for his own directions?" Crow shook her head gently. "No, Alpha is completely immune to it. That's the way it was designed. But..." She closed her eyes to think for a moment. "Although... I guess if it possessed him, it would be totally pointless, because he already does what he wants to."
Crow eyes were closed, as if she was concentrating really hard. Her slender fingers were toying with her silver necklace. It was a flat, wide line with two diagonal lines sticking out from the sides. It was her symbol, a crow's foot, and I had never seen her without it on. "And it would be worthless, so that would probably make the spirit disappear, making our job easy. But then again, I'm sure he has the blueprints to make another one, or he has a prototype he could use. So, he wouldn't be a vessel, but the spirit would disappear."
"So it would be best to just steal the box and keep it here?" Cy asked Crow, "Yea-." Crow was interrupted by the alarm blaring. We all rushed over to the screen. One word: Alpha. "He's on the East Side of the city, let's go!" Everyone else ran out of the room, Crow behind them. "Crow, wait!" She stopped and turned to look at me. I jogged over to her. "Are you sure you want to come? You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
Crow looked me in the eye. "I know. But I need to. This has been going on for too long. And this time..." She slammed her fist into her palm. "I'm ready."
**********************************************************************************
I swerved my R-Cycle into a parking position. Crow was right behind me on her moped, and behind her was Cy and Raven in the T-Car. I looked at the scene. Alpha was robbing a bank, and for some odd reason, it was just Alpha. No robots or anything. That was strange. Normally Alpha had somebody to do his dirty work for him. Why not now?
Alpha was carrying two huge sacks of money out of the bank. "If you’re going to take that," I said, "You better have a credit card with you." Alpha shifted one of the bags to his other hand, so one hand was carrying both of them, and he took out a laser gun. "Oh don't worry, I don't." Alpha shot at us with a laser, a different one than before. If the last laser could paralyze you, who knew what this one could do? I swerved to dodge the laser and yelled, "Titans, go!"
We all went at him at once. Raven and Cy were out of the T-Car and sprinting at him, Star and Beast Boy were zooming towards him, and Crow and I were driving as fast as we could. Alpha pressed the trigger on his gun, sending multiple electric blue shots at us. They were all dodged. Crow leapt up from her moped and threw off her helmet. With a yell she slammed her foot into his chest, forcing him against the brick wall. Crow seemed to purposely bring her arm near a pocket in Alpha’s belt as she punched him As Alpha staggered, he fired one last shot. Crow, Star, and I all dodged it. Cy was too slow; it hit him in the chest. He shouted with pain.
And just like that Cy disappeared.
Crow ran at Alpha and flung him against the brick wall. She propped him up with one hand (which seemed to be holding something) and with the other she created an electric jolt which was about six inches away from his neck. "Bring him back!" Crow yelled. You could hear the hate in her voice. "Where is he?" Crow said, her voice growing louder and more dangerous. "Where I will be in a couple of seconds." He answered. Alpha was grinning. "And where is that?" Crow's jolt of electricity was inching closer and closer to his neck.
"Away from here."
In about two seconds, Alpha swung the beam towards the side of his head and fired. In a flash of blue light, he was gone. Crow's electric bolt hit the brick wall. Bricks from the wall collapsed, narrowly missing Crow. Crow sunk to the pavement on all fours. I rode over to her and extended a hand. "I swore,” She said quietly so I was the only one that could hear her. "I swore that I would let nobody else suffer from Alpha." Crow was staring at the ground, her necklace hanging freely. "Nobody else."
There was silence for about a minute. All of sudden, with a loud yell, Crow brought up her fist and forced it to collide with the top layer of tar. It was embedded there for a couple of seconds, but when she removed it, a hole about ten inches deep remained. Crow grasped my hand as she slowly stood up. Her eyes were full of anger, nervousness, and sorrow.
"But through all that, look what I got." Crow held up the box in her palm. I was amazed. "How did you..." "I took it, how else?" She grinned, but it was completely fake. I could tell she was worried about Cy, and I was too. What had happened to him?
"Let's go home." She mumbled as she sauntered back to her moped.

As Seen Through the Eyes of Raven
"Guys!"
I turned to look at Beast Boy. Ever since we had gotten back, Crow instantly retired to her room, and the rest of us just sat down on the couch. We had tried to track Cyborg's signal, but the scanners couldn't find any sign of him. Eventually, Beast Boy went upstairs to look for Crow. I can only guess he that he was going to ask her how to get rid of the bright yellow dye, which was beginning to fade.
But now he was running into the living room, no Crow in sight. There was a worried look on his face, and the three of us sitting on the couch jumped up. "What is it?" I asked him, and for once even I could sense some emotion. Beast Boy put his hands on his knees; he appeared to have a white envelope in his hands. "I... was.... looking... for... Crow... couldn't... find her... all I found... was this... she's... gone..." Beast Boy panted.
He held the envelope out to Robin, who snatched it and slit it open. Robin gazed at it for a number of seconds, the expression of worry becoming clearer on is face. "What is it? What's wrong?" I asked him. Saying nothing, Robin handed me the piece of paper. I read Crow's neat, hastily scrawled note.
Don't worry.
I know exactly what I am doing, but I don't think I'm going to be able to come back alive.
Crow
OMG!! Crow's going to die!
This is awsome, you look like you keep trying to finish but then you keep adding more!
AWSOME!!!!!

Never knew so many people wanted me to post!
Who said I'm gonna kill her? Sure, Crow may have put something like that in her note, but hey! Did I say that? Actually, wait, never mind....
Ah well. Here we go... You're welcome, by the way.
Chapter 13- Nobody Always Wins
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
For the seventh time I rammed my shoulder into the red force field that surrounded me, and for the seventh time I flew back, hitting the opposite wall and crashing into the cold metal floor.
The laser that hit me had been some sort of transport beam, because when it hit me I was all of a sudden here, in this cubed red force field. Outside of my cube, the room was made of solid metal walls and floor, with a long metal pole protruding from the ceiling. About a minute later, Alpha appeared in front of me, completely relaxed. He told me that I shouldn’t bother trying to get out, because I wouldn’t be able to get out on my own.
I tried anyway, and I thought of everything. My sonic cannon, physical force, literally everything. As I slumped down against the red tinted wall, I thought what did he mean by I couldn’t get out on my own? Did that mean I was too weak? That I would be here forever? That somebody else had to get me out? Like that was going to happen. My scanners couldn’t tell me where I was, so the Tower’s scanners couldn’t either. I had to bring myself to face it, I was stuck.
“It’s extremely stupid how you keep tying to get out when you know you can’t.” Alpha said all of a sudden. He was leaning against the wall of the room, and he looked relaxed. “Who said I’m not getting out?” I asked coldly. I was beginning to see why Crow didn’t like Alpha that much. Besides the weapons he had, he had an extremely annoying ego.
“Nobody. That’s not what I said. I said you wouldn’t be getting out on your own.” “Are you saying I’m not strong enough?” I said hotly, Alpha had some nerve. “Did I say that?” Alpha said with a smirk. I leaned my head back and I groaned angrily. After an hour this guy was going to drive me insane. Actually, probably after five more minutes.
I heard a soft scrape above me. I looked at Alpha, who apparently hadn’t seen anything (he was examining his gun). I looked at the metal pole above me, and I saw a shimmer of colored light. I inconspicuously squinted and tried to get a closer look at the light. There were two lights, and if a red force field hadn’t been in the way, my guess is that the color of the light would be purple.
Crow was here.
Crow saw that I knew she was there, and she formed a bright jolt of electricity near her face. I saw her grin and put her finger on her mouth to tell me to be quiet. I discreetly nodded to show her that I understood her. The jolt of electricity died and I heard more soft scrapes. It sounded like Crow was sliding down the metal pole in the center of the ceiling.
She quietly landed on the top of my cubic prison, and the vibrations scattered throughout the cube. She leapt off the top of the cube down to the side of the cube I was leaning against. “What are you doing here?” I whispered to her. “Setting you free.” She hissed back. “Don’t move.” I didn’t turn around, but from what it sounded like, she had taken out a small laser beam and was trying to cut though the shield.
“Do the others know you’re here?” I murmured to her, the sound of the laser was so quiet it wouldn’t attract Alpha’s attention. “Yes and no. I left them a no-.”
“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” Alpha clucked. I spun around. Alpha was holding his gun to the back of Crow’s throat. Crow’s head was titled back and her eyes were closed. Her necklace was more noticeable than ever in that pose. “Is this supposed to be a jail break?” Alpha said tauntingly. “Why do you care?” Crow asked him coldly. “I care, dear Crow, because it is my prisoner you are trying to let free. Now, we can handle this in several ways. One, I kill you and him right now. Two, I kill one of you and the other stays here as my prisoner. Three, you leave right now, your friend Cyborg stays. Or four,” An unnatural light from somewhere made Alpha’s eyes shine from underneath his mask.
“Crow takes your place, Cyborg. And I deal with her as I wish.”
Crow’s eyes shot open and there was a flame in her eyes. The flame beneath her eyes glowed with sparks of thought and bravery. She looked into my eyes. “Would you like to decide which option I choose? I will let you Crow, but if you don’t answer in the next five seconds, I automatically choose option one. Choose, now.”
From the look in her eyes, I knew what she was going to say. I couldn’t let her do this, I couldn’t. Alpha and Crow wanted to kill each other. I was about to tell him option number three, but Crow spoke first.
“I take his place.”
Those words broke the silence like a knife cutting through bread. Alpha slowly lowered the gun from the back of Crow’s neck. “Very well then.” Alpha commented. He pulled out a small remote control and just as he was about to press the button, Crow spoke again. “But you have to give us a minute to talk.”
“As you wish.” And with a devilish grin, Alpha pressed the button on the remote control, releasing me from the red cube. As Alpha walked away, he said “I’m timing you.”
We both stood up and looked at each other. “Crow, you can’t do this.” I said pleadingly. “Cy, you don’t understand, I have to. I need to. This is my battle that needs to be fought; I don’t want you to get hurt. I don’t want anyone else to get hurt.” She looked down.
“Crow, change your option, let me stay here. Go back to the tower, tell them where I am. Come back with everyone: You, BB, Rae, Star, and Robin. We can all do this together, all of the titans. You’re not alone in this.”
“I know Cy, I really do. But this fight has been going on for eight years, and I swear it will en-.”
A red force field slid between us, blocking any conversation. I placed my hands on the force field and slammed my fist into it, trying to break it. “Go! Before anything else happens! Run!” I stood still. I turned towards Alpha, who was holding the transporting gun at me. “Time’s up.”
A blue beam barreled towards me, and then it was all black.
As Seen Through the Eyes of Crow
“CY!!!” I screamed as he disintegrated yet again. I pounded on the transparent red wall with my fist. As I pounded on the wall, I thought in my head: have… to... tell… Cy… that… I… took, his… place… because… I… l-
“You know your friend tried the same thing, and it didn’t work either.” Alpha said slyly. “I can try, can’t I?” I shot at him while still hammering the wall. “Well, you can, but it would be pointless. See, I have a… proposition for you. I think you may like it.” I stopped hitting the wall, my fist throbbing. “Spit it out.” I growled, having a bad feeling.
“Here it is. You and I duel. You may use all of your powers; I may use all of my weapons. If you win, you are free to go, no strings attached. If I win, I may do with you as I please. Think about it.” I did. I could easily defeat Alpha with my powers. Piece of cake. I could also dodge all of his laser beams and weapons, except for his box. But Robin had put that in the Tower’s evidence room, which had tons of cool mementos from all their battles. But if I did lose, even though I won’t, what would happen? Should I do it?
“I accept. But please, don’t cry when you lose.” I said with a grin forming on my face. Alpha pressed the button on his remote control and set me free. “I don’t intend to.” He smirked and I poised for battle. “You know,” Alpha said out of the blue as he was choosing a weapon. “Your friends would be extremely upset if you lose, especially Cyborg.” “Is that really any of your business?” I spat at him.
“No, but it’s yours, and I like to pry...”
We charged at each other, sparks flying from my hands, and a gun waving in his. His belt carried more guns and an awkward shaped item. Mine carried only my sword. I positioned my hand towards him, and I fired a jolt of electricity at him. My aim was true, yet as it neared the center of the room, my bolt of electricity soared up to touch the metal pole hanging from the ceiling and it disappeared. I tried the same thing again thrice, but the result was always the same. “Why aren’t my powers working!?!?” I shouted at the top of my lungs.
Three lasers hit me in the chest, one green, one blue, and one red. I fell back against the cold floor and saw black. When I opened my eyes, Alpha had the open end of one of his guns directly on my forehead. He laughed “You always were easy to fool; I can’t believe you fell for this trick. When I built this room, I made sure this room was extraordinarily flammable, had no earth or water, was sturdily built, and that pole hanging from the ceiing, that’s to make sure your electric bolts don’t work in here. You’re powers are worthless, and you are too weak to get up. You lose.”
I was stunned. “Wait a minute… this was all a trap!” I bellowed in realization. “You sent Cyborg here as bait. And you merely waited for me to come and set him free. You’ve been planning this all along! And I… I fell for it…”
“I am highly surprised to see that you only realize it now. You see Crow, you are a person who likes to be the hero. That, as you can see, isn’t always a good thing. You saved your friend Cyborg, but not you are close to death, with a laser gun directly on your forehead.” He grinned devilishly.
I felt so stupid! I was an idiot. This is what I get for my love of being the hero, my optimisim. I deserve to feel like this, but I don’t deserve death. That fate belongs to Alpha. I vowed, six years ago, to use my sword to slit his throat.
“And now Crow, I could kill you righ-.”
“You’re monologuing.” I said, trying to save my life for one more minute. “I’m what?” “Monologuing. You’re acting as if this is a monologue in a play. It’s highly annoying. You really need to sto-.”
“Shut up!” Alpha pressed the gun’s barrel harder into my head. “That was a lousy attempt to save your life, but I’ll tell you what. I won’t kill you. At least, not today.” He placed the gun back in his belt. I let out a sigh of relief. “Oh, don’t sigh yet. The fun has only just begun.” He took out the misshapen object that was hanging from his belt. I gasped.
It was a box.
“But… but… I stol-.” “Yes, you Crow, stole my box. Believe it or not, that was version 2.0, and this is version 1.0.” Alpha thrust it into my face. Did I dare ask the question I was pondering? “Erm… what is the difference?” I said sheepishly. “Well, Crow, funny you should ask. The difference is that the spirit in this box can only possess one person at a time. Do you catch my drift?”
Well, duh. Of course I did! I couldn’t run, dodge, or move. I felt the blood run out of my cheeks. I was toast.
“And you know what the best part of this is, Crow? When you wake up, you won’t remember any of this at all. So for now, I can only say, good-bye.”
Alpha flipped open the lid of the box.
Oh yeah. Welcome to high society, Nevermore.:D

I think she lifted that from some guy on deviantart.com. At least, thats where I first saw it like a few months agoI finally read this chapter and liked it a lot. only 2 comments:
1: I especially liked how crow was talking; have… to... tell… Cy… that… I… took, his… place… because… I… l-
I like that. It was just suggestive enough to really intrigue me.
2: I really didn't like the part where Alpha proposed a duel between them. I know it was the core part of the chap, but it just seemed kinda...forced. Why would he want to fight with crow? If she won, she had everything to gain. Alpha didn't have anything to gain (he could have used the box anyway) and everything to lose. It wasn't a bad idea, just the way it was portrayed seemed kinda fake.
Regardless, I still loved this chap. immensely. It is extremely cool. Keep postin'.

I will post on Tuesday. As for the sword thing, I would have done it if a gun hadn't been pressed to her forehead. Crow always has it with her. It would have been pointless becuase she would have died. See?
Ried, it was nice to finally hear from you! The duel thing may sound wierd, but in the next couple of chapters, it will be explained. Remember the last line of the chapter:
Alpha flipped open the lid of the box.
Think about it...

Yes... oh yeah. I wanted to explain the battle thing for Reid.
Alpha and Crow like to mess with each other's head, like how Crow's been alive when Alpha tried to kill her. The reason Crow took it is because she's a really good fighter (much better than Alpha...) and she thought she would get the chance to kill Alpha. See?
No, probably not...

Chapter 14- Break-in
As Seen Through the Eyes of Beast Boy
After we had all found Crow’s note, we searched everywhere for her. The roof, the pool, the basement, and we couldn’t find her. After that, we activated the scanners to search Jump City for Cyborg and Crow’s DNA. Zip, nada, nothing, goose eggs. The only phrases Robin had said were “Search the Tower,” and “Activate the scanners.” Robin was definitely worried; you could see it written on his face.
We had given up hope and we were just sitting there in silence. Rae, Star, and Robin were lounging on the couch in gloom and I was staring out the window, thinking about what Crow had written in her letter:
Don't worry.
I know exactly what I am doing, but I don't think I'm going to be able to come back alive.
Crow
What the heck did that mean? Was she going after Alpha once and for all? Was she leaving us for good? Did she know where Cy was? I didn’t know any of those answers, but as I was looking down, I spotted something that could give me answers.
Cyborg was lying spread-eagled on the shore of the island, unconscious.
We all ran down to bring Cy up to the tower, and after that we placed him on the couch. We crowded around him and waited for him to wake up, and when he finally did, we pounded him with questions. How did he get here? Where did he go?
Robin was the one who asked the question he answered first. “Where’s Crow?” Cyborg, human eye bloodshot, bowed his head. “She… she took my place.” He said quietly. Cyborg began to tell his story. He started from when he had been shot with the laser beam to when Crow came to when he was shot again. There was silence, pure silence, nothing else. After about a minute Robin said in realization, “So, it was basically a trap, and Crow fell for it. Alpha used you as bait, and now he has Crow as his prisoner.”
Cyborg guiltily nodded his head. “We both should have known, but we didn’t realize it. I just realized it now. ..” He slammed his fist into the table. “I should have known! I was just there and I let it all happen. I feel so stupid!”
“Easy Cy.” I said in a comforting way. “Crow can handle it, she’s an awesome fighter. I mean, you’ve seen what she can do. She’ll be out in no time. Relax. Breathe in and out.” “ Beast Boy,” I turned towards Robin’s voice. “I don’t think you get it. Alpha is not like Slade. He doesn’t want Crow, Cy, or anyone for an apprentice. All he wants to do is kill Crow.”
“Ever since Crow put her uncle in jail for murdering Crow’s neighbor, Alpha has been on her case, trying to kill her. He’s already killed her family, except her father, who divorced her mother, because it was his brother they put in jail. Alpha’s been trying to kill Crow for eight years Beast Boy. Eight years. Their battle is nothing, nothing, compared to mine and Slade’s. It’s much more drastic, much more dangerous, and much more vengeful.”
“If Crow fell into a trap of Alpha’s, who knows what could happen nex-.”
The alarm echoed in the living room. Everyone ran to the screen. “Somebody’s inside the tower!” Robin shouted, even though there was no need. “Man, how did they get past my defense systems?” Cy shouted, sounding annoyed. “Who knows who cares?” I yelled. “We have to go stop him!” “Titans, go!” Robin shouted. And we all left the room.
Raven disappeared and became a shadow and took us all up to the floor that the intruder was on. The fifth floor, home to the gym and evidence room. I had a feeling I knew where this was going.
We saw the intruder sprint by in silent steps. From just a flash of the person running by, I could tell that the person was sent by Alpha. He was wearing a black uniform with a deep red line down the middle, the exact opposite of Alpha’s outfit. “He’s heading for the evidence room! Titans, go!” Robin shouted, and we all chased after him.
I morphed into an eagle and soared side by side with Star down the hall. As we rounded the corner, I saw the intruder dash into the evidence room. He was heading for the box. I let out a squawk to let Robin, Rae, and Cy know that he was in there. They caught up with me and Star as we entered the evidence room. The figure was reaching for the box. “Don’t you know it’s wrong to steal?” Robin asked the burglar.
I looked at the trespasser, and for some reason, his eyes were shining a blood red. Did he have a special power? Maybe it was speed or something like that. Anyways, the intruder looked around frantically for something. Reaching for the nearest object, he headed towards a remote. Control Freak’s remote.
Oh no.
Star fired several starbolts at the figure who, in a side flip, dodged them all. “Careful, titans!” Robin shouted, “Try to corner him!” We all went separate ways, attempting to do what Robin said. As I swooped in towards the intruder, he used Control Freak’s remote to hit something (it looked like he was just randomly pressing buttons and shooting rays) on the cluttered wall. A light red beam hit a mask on the wall.
The mask belonged to one of Slade’s robots.
The mask hopped off the wall and grew. It kept growing until it was the size of Cy standing up, except with pointy teeth and glowing red eyes. I squawked loudly to get the other Titans attention. They all turned and Robin, Star, and Rae started to attack the mask instead of the intruder. I joined Cyborg in trying to stop the intruder from reaching the exit. “I don’t know who you are,” Cy shouted at the figure, “But I have a score to settle with your boss!”
Cy lunged towards the figure and punched him on the side of the face. That guy was going to have a purple bruise on the side of his face in about an hour. Cy kept fighting, forgetting he had a laser built into his arm.
I had never seen Cy act like this, except when someone brought up Brother Blood. It was strange. He seemed angrier than I had ever seen him before. But why? Was he mad that he had been taken as Alpha’s prisoner? Was he just annoyed with this guy’s timing? Was he upset that this guy had gotten past the majority of the defense systems?
Cy threw a punch again, but this time, the intruder caught his hand, and kicked Cyborg in the side of the face, denting his metal check. He fell back, crashing into the podium that held Mumbo’s snapped wand.
I changed into a python and I hastily slithered towards the intruder. He headed towards the exit but I was too fast. I sunk my fangs into his boots. They must have been made of leather of some type of rough fabric, because my fangs didn’t puncture him at all, it only gave me a bad toothache. I morphed back into my normal form and I groaned, holding my jaw in my hands. The intruder took this opportunity to grab my ankles and fling me into the wall. I collided with a hard object on the wall, and then…
It was all black.
As Seen Through the Eyes of Raven
“Uhh!” I hit a wall that was covered in tons of mementos. This had gone on long enough. Way too long. As I slunk down, I shouted “Azarath Metrion Zinthos!” The mask was enveloped in black light and it shattered into little pieces.
“Nice one Raven!” Robin shouted. “Get the intruder!” All of lunged over at him, but he hopped into the air, grabbed onto one of the dangling lights and thrust his feet into my chest. With a moan, I crashed into Starfire, who was right behind me. We crashed into the wall and slithered down it, unable to move because of pain.
I watched Robin attack the burglar solo. Robin looked like he was winning, because Robin was so fast (he seemed angry) that he was landing fist after fist into the burglar’s stomach and arms. After awhile, the intruder took Robin’s pause for breath as an opportunity to thrust his heel into Robin’s ribs. This sent him flying across the room.
Robin crashed into the wall and as he did, the intruder picked up the box and began to silently sprint towards the door. He paused to look at Robin as he was about to walk through, but an electric blue beam flung the intruder against the wall. I looked over, and there was Cy, standing across the room, his sonic cannon.
“Why don’t you be nice, put the box back, and tell us where Crow is.” Cy said solemnly. The intruder lunged at Cy, and Cy lunged at him. Just as they were about to collide, the intruder slipped out of the room and left Cy to crash into a podium. And resembling a black blur, he silently dashed out of the room.
Leaving what remained of the Teen Titans, defeated.
As Seen Through the Eyes of Starfire
It was the day after the intruder had broken in, and we were in the middle of repairing ourselves. Cyborg had to fix his own injuries, for he was the only one who knew how. I was not as damaged as the rest, so I was able to help Raven, Beast Boy, and Robin heal. Robin was the most damaged. He needed most of our healing remedies, as well as Tamarian ones. I successfully managed to repair everyone, or at least help.
All of us were sitting on the couch in the room of living, the intruder alarm blared for the second time in two earth days.
We traveled down to the door of the Tower, where there was a loud banging noise outside. I readied myself with starbolts as I soared up into the air. The metal door creaked loudly from the intruder’s attempt to open it. Eventually, the opening was so wide that the intruder was able to get through. I fired four starbolts from my hands and they soared towards the intruder’s chest.
With a yell of pain the intruder flew back. The voice was unique, it sounded familiar. We opened the door and we ran towards the intruder. We were spellbound with what we saw.
Crow was trying to stand up. She clutched her arm, with a look of pain on her face. Every part of her skin that I could see was damaged, covered in purple and brown spots. The most horrifying part was a gash down the side of her face.
Crow opened her bruised eyes. “Hi.” She whispered. And with that said, she collapsed into Cyborg’s open arms.

Hey! I finally got my butt over here and read some stuff. Now I wish I had time to finish. So far, I've only read through chapter 11, but I'll finish it off tonight or something similar.
I'm impressed with the skill that you use the first person view. I tried to write a first person story back in 8th grade, but it was wickedly bad. So, I never finished it. Typical of me...
Crow is an interesting character. I haven't decided what's harder yet - writing a good Teen Titans fic with only the 5 or 6 Titans (Terra being the 6th), or writing a good fic with an invented character. You've certainly scored in the second category there.
The whole moped thing bugs me. For one thing, no moped goes 240 mph (I would have said 237.6 or something odd like that :D ). Also, do you mean a moped, or do you mean a Vespa? That's my impression of what Beast Boy is always wanting. Where I live, a moped is a bicycle with a small motor on it. Hence the name - you MOter sometimes and PEDal othertimes. MO-PED. And there's no way you could ever put 2 people on one, never mind 3 and a cat. So you must mean something else. This isn't so much an issue with you as an issue with the show.
As to Crow's powers. Yes, they are like Rouge's just a bit, but Rouge doen't retain the powers of other people (or at least not for very long). Interestingly, her powers shouldn't allow her to copy Robin, Cyborg, Gizmo, Slade, or any similar person. I'm not sure if you've done this, cause I haven't read far enough (except didn't Crow tell Robin she copied his fighting style? I wasn't sure who she was talking to then).
So once I finish, I'll have more good to say, I'm sure. Rest assured that I have not listed all the good points in your story. In fact, I've not listeded them because I feel that when the general quality of a story is abnormally high, it is better (on the behalf of the writer) to say more specific problems with the story and general good ones than the other way round. That way, you (and me - this is how I've grow in writing skills) can pick out the problems and make the whole thing better. If there's a fly in the soup, it's easier to pick out the one fly and keep eating the soup than to say "This soup is bad." So, your soup is not bad. I'd drink it all day, if I had the time. Speaking of all that, I think it's time for my physical lunch. Your story has whet my appetite.
Cheers,

I was waiting for you to post here...
No offense, but I am getting sick of people commenting on the moped thing. This is FICTION for cryin' out loud, PLEASE give me a break. This is my story, and you don't have to read it if you don't like it. If it makes you all happy, I'll go edit this change the whole stupid thing....
Yes, I really did only need to burn some oil:shrug: , but that is the truth. I'm suprised at how limited the number of people who check out my fic is, I wish the variety was bigger. Not to complain or anything.
Oh yes, I have decided to be very cruel in this chapter, but I will put masking tape all over it later. Please forgive me. I hope you all aren't believers of the Rae and Cy relationship (Cough, Raven54's motto thing, cough).
Ah well... here we go. Another day, another chapter....
Chapter 15- ‘I’m Sorry’
As Seen Through the Eyes of Crow
I woke up, finding myself on the tower’s living room couch, Zorro curled up on my chest, and Cy, Robin, and all the other Titans looming over me. “Ugh…” I moaned, sitting up gradually, knocking Zorro of my chest. “What happened to me?” Robin looked me in the eye. “We were hoping you’d tell us.”
“The last I saw, you were in that cube. Even I couldn’t get out of it, how did you?” Cy asked softly. Our eyes were locked for a couple of seconds, him gazing into mine, mine gazing into his. It occurred to me just then how much my side hurt. It felt like my ribs were broken. With a moan of pain, I clasped my hands to my right rib cage. “I… don’t remember…”
I closed my eyes and racked my brains. I started the scene from the beginning, when I slid down the pole and landed on the cube. I leapt down from the transparent cube and tried to set Cy free with a small laser I had brought. Then the gun was against my neck. Alpha and I made the deal. I was talking with Cy, who didn’t want me to take his place. That part was the clearest, the way Cy looked at me, what he said, what I told him, and then he vanished.
I remember Alpha saying something, but then it was all fuzzy. As if my memory was wiped or something. After the blank period in my head, I saw the picture of Alpha kicking me in the ribs. I remember I was in great pain, as if every bone in my body was broken. Then a red laser striking my torso. Then… nothing else. “I… don’t remember. My head is blank, as if I was unconscious for awhile…”
“The only thing I remember is seeing Cy vanish and everything before that. Then Alpha said something to me, and the next thing I remember is him kicking me in the ribs, then a red laser hitting my chest. But before that, there’s like a giant blank period in my head. I can’t remember anything at all.”
I tried to stand up, but I wobbled and Cy caught me as I began to fall. My legs were like noodles, weak. I talked with the Titans about what I had experienced and we sort of had one of those question and answer things, except this was more serious. Strangely, nobody asked me about Alpha or anything near that topic. As we talked, my strength rebuilt, and I found I was able to stand and move around.
“So, do you know what happened to Alpha?” Robin asked me, the familiar expression of seriousness on his face. I shook my head softly. “No, I don’t. But I think I can tell you where to find him. I earlier traced Cy’s DNA on my own scanners, and even though the trace of it was so small, I took a shot and I foll-.”
“Followed the trace of your friend’s DNA and found my little cave. Bravo Crow, well done.”
We all turned to look at the TV, which now showed a giant picture of Alpha’s face. “Alpha.” I growled. “Crow.” He shot back. “I don’t know if your little friends, if they are your friends that is, told you this, but look what I found.” As he said that, he held up the box in the palm of his hand.
“What!?!” I exclaimed, glaring at Robin who shifted guiltily in his seat. “Why didn’t you tell me as soon as I woke up??” I wasn’t angry, I was annoyed though. I should have known something like this was bound to happen, but why didn’t Robin tell me?
“We, erm… didn’t want you to worry right away. Stress is the last thing you need right now, you’re badly hurt. Relax.” He said, trying to console me. “And besides Crow, you already knew.” Alpha said slyly. “What the heck are you talking about?!” My temper was rising. I stood up and I stalked over to the screen my arms folded. I heard the others follow me.
“In case you were wondering Alpha, and you probably are, I can’t remember anything about it. It’s like there’s a big blank spot of time in my head. So how do you know that I alre-.” “You know,” Alpha interrupted me, “As highly amusing as this is, maybe your friends would like an explanation, that is, if they are your friends.”
“Crow?” Robin started to say softly, putting his hand on my shoulder, “What is goin-.” “What do you mean by ‘if they are your friends’? Hmm? Of course they’re my friends you idio-.” Alpha interrupted me again.
“Are they really?” He smirked, and I knew something was up. I glanced at Robin, who looked just as confused as I was. “I’ve hacked into your security cameras, and let me tell you, it was extremely easy.” Cy practically hissed in anger.
The picture of Alpha faded and a new, frozen shot took its place. As the clip began to start, I saw one person dressed in a uniform showing that they worked for Alpha. This person had the box in his hand and was single-handedly killing the Titans. Alpha stopped the tape as soon as the person left the room, and his face appeared on the screen.
“Who’s the unlucky slave?” It was my turn to smirk. I felt extremely bad for that person, why of all things would they work for Alpha, of all people? “Oh, you don’t remember?” Alpha said with a hint of sarcasm. I slammed my fist down on the counter. “What’s that supposed to mean?” I hissed. Something was up, I knew it. Did he mind wipe me or something?
“Take a look at this other security camera that I hacked into,” I could hear Cy grinding his teeth. “You’ll be interested in this, I’m sure of it.” He said devilishly. Once again his picture faded, and another one took his place.
This clip was outside of the Tower, near the wall. It was dusk, and even though it was hard to see, there was a figure, who was dressed in a black uniform with a red stripe down the middle, crouching on the side of the wall. “Since you can’t see it clearly, let me spare you the trouble and zoom in for you.” Alpha’s voice rang out through the living room. The frozen picture magnified about one hundred times, enough to see the face. You could only see the bottom half of the person’s nose, their mouth, and their chin.
I knew enough to tell that person was me.
I was stunned for a moment. It was a fact that I didn’t do it, I would know. I stared at the picture harder, it looked digitally enhanced. I turned to tell the others that it was bogus, but I stopped mid-word. The expressions on their faces were emotionless. From the glare Beast Boy was giving me, I could tell how they all felt. Beast Boy explained it best.
“Traitor.”
As Seen Through the Eyes of Robin
I was speechless. Crow? Working for Alpha? Why?
“I’m not a traitor, Beast Boy, the picture’s fake. It’s been digitally enhanced. You can tell by th-.”
“I don’t care Crow!!” Beast Boy thundered. “This has all been fake hasn’t it? You meeting Robin here, fighting Alpha, getting free, being our friend, it’s all been lies!” Crow’s eyes could have burned a hole in Beast Boy. “Before I came here I didn’t even know you existed! Why would I make everything up? Him killing my family! My ‘death’! Do you think I would make my past seem like a stupid tragedy for my own amusement?!?!”
“Well, that’s what it looks like!! Remember when Robin told you about Terra?” Beast Boy had brought Terra into this, he was getting emotionally angry. “Well, it’s like that all over again! You’re a traitor! A backstabber! Call it whatever you want but,” I heard Beast Boy’s voice crack as he turned away, tears brimming his eyes. “You’re just like Terra, just like her…”
“NO!”
Crow slammed her fist down on the counter, the picture on the screen flickering behind her. “I’m not like that. How… why do you think I would make all of this up?!?!” Crow’s eyes were angrily flashing purple; she was on the brink of getting angry.
Beast Boy and Crow continued to shout at each other. Crow trying to prove her innocence and Beast Boy telling her that she was a lying traitor. Cy, Raven, Star, and I all kept out of the argument, but I knew enough about my friends that Raven agreed with Beast Boy, Star was confused, and Cy felt the way I felt. The thing that stung most of all was that Crow was trying to get out of this by saying she was innocent. At least Terra admitted her betrayal to Beast Boy before she totally turned evil.
“This is so stupid!” Crow said, her voice getting hoarse from her shouting. “Beast Boy, I’m your friend. Why don’t you believe me? Why would I want to hurt any of you at all? Why don’t you trust me? You trusted me before! Trust me on this!” There was a long pause, and then…
“I did trust you.”
There was complete silence after I spoke. Crow looked at me, and I could tell that she was extremely upset, as if she would burst out into to tears. I had never seen Crow cry before, never.
With a single glance at me, while saying nothing, Crow swept out of the room, leaving all of us just standing there. And for a reason I didn’t know, the ends of her hair were ash gray.
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
As bad as it felt lying to my friends, I had to talk to Crow, or at least say good-bye, before she left. I had told the others I was going to my room to work on something, but I was going to the garage, where Crow stored her moped.
I sprinted to the door as fast as I could and I threw it open, hoping she was still there. She was, dressed in her cloak and putting things into a compartment on her moped. “Sheesh, I’m practically gone, and then you’ll be hap-.” She looked up to see who it was and her expression softened. “Oh, sorry Cy. I’m just about ready to go.”
I walked towards her, panting from how fast I had ran. “Where are you going to go?” I asked softly. Did she have another home somewhere? “Anywhere but here.” Crow mumbled as she put a silver box in her storage area. “But what about Alpha? Aren’t you going t-.”
“He’s not my problem anymore.” Crow said quietly as she slammed the lid down. She looked me in the eye and we just stared at each other, thinking the same thing. She slipped her necklace off her neck. “Here.” She tossed it to me gently. “Keep it, and whenever you look at it, think of me.”
I grasped the smooth piece of metal in my hand as she turned to put on her helmet. “Crow, wait!” I placed my hand on her shoulder to stop her. “You can’t just go; this is your battle with Alpha, not ours. Don’t go.” I pleaded. “I’m sorry Cy, but that’s what everyone wants.” She tilted her head up to look at me.
“No! It-it’s not! Crow…” I had no idea what I was doing, but it was going to be done sooner or later, whether she was leaving or not. I bent my neck down and I kissed her on the cheek.
My lips were pressed against her cheek softly for a few seconds. Soon after I slowly drew my head away, back to where it was before. What I had done was really the only way I thought I could express how I felt towards her. When I looked at her again, her eyes were closed. I waited for her to say something, anything, but she was silent. I grabbed her dangling hands “Crow, I don’t want you to go. Please, you shouldn’t, you don’t hav-.”
“I’m sorry Cy.” She said quietly, and my heart fell down to my feet. Her hands slid out of mine. I was at a loss for words as Crow opened her eyes sadly. A solitary tear trickled down the side of her face; Crow didn’t bother to brush it away. “But I’m not wanted here.”
Without another word, but instead a distraught glance, she turned around, slipped on her helmet, and rode away. Crow had left me standing there with her necklace clutched in my hand, and a sunken heart.

Do you think I should? From what I've seen, he wouldn't do that.
Oh yes. If you people did not pick the Cy and Crow thing up or imagine that it would happen, I would be very displeased. I told you all earlier I leave hints about upcoming stuff. This was probably the biggest thing I ever hinted on.

okay, this is how I see it.
Alpha is going to find a way into Titans Tower and attack the Titans. Cyborg will attack him, harming Alpha greatly but also being harmed by Alpha. But since Cyborg is drivin on by anger he won't give up until he is rather victorious or dies. Alpha will get the better of Cyborg since he is fighting blindly and is about to kill him when Crow saves them in the nick of time and then there is a big fight scene between Crow and Alpha, and of course, Crow will win.
But that's just what popped into my mind after I finished reading the chapter. I like your story keep posting

Well...
Alpha/Crow/some unlucky slave already did find a way into the Tower and attack the Titans. Notice how Cy was the last to fall...

Okay, this story is officially amazing! I'm an instant sucker for 1st person stuff, and having it for every person is a trick that I've always wanted to try but have never been able to. I give you instant respect for being able to do it!
Crow's just the coolest character! She's everything that each the Titans like in a person - drives a moped, cooks good food, plays video games, likes action movies, etc etc etc - and it's always good to have such an all-round dude making an appearance in a story.
Two small criticisms, though. One: wouldn't there be a potential for a Robin/Crow relationship? The two of them get on so well, and have such a good history together (well, up until the point where she faked her own death...), that they could actually form quite a good couple...besides, it'd be interesting to see how you'd have Starfire deal with it. Would she be cool with it, or would she go psycho? Two: wouldn't they (Crow and the Titans) have found it blatantly obvious that Alpha had used the box on her? The reactions that they did show were pretty impressive all the same, but failing to put two and two together to get the really obvious result does smack a little of logical inconsistency...
Other than that, this story is fantastic, and easily ranks amongst the best to recently feature on this site (Vanishing Act, Perfect Vision and Reid's Knives/Starfire story are the other top ones...).

Okay, my computer was just fixed by yours truly, so I am finally able to post.
PLEASE do not post senseless chatter on this thread. I know I was gone for a long amount of time, but that doesn't mean FIVE more pages should come up. Senseless chatter can be PMed to the person you are chatting to.
I got a dentention yesterday for talking, yes talking, in class. My parnts are 'apalled'.
Okay, it's bigger, its badder, it's too much for you to read! Sorry, saw the Incredibles recently, it was funny!
Okay, this feels like a rushed chapter, but please give me feedback! NOT SENSELESS CHATTER!!!
Chapter 16- What She Didn’t Know
As Seen Through the Eyes of Starfire
There has been no rejoicing in our domicile for a whole earth week, for that is how long Crow has been gone. It is true. I have not seen much of either of the boys. Cyborg and Robin have kept to there rooms, except for training and meals. It is then they are mostly silent.
Beast Boy has been visiting Terra for most of the time. I believe he is upset for this situation is like what happened with Terra, and he trusted Crow, just like he trusted Terra before she attempted to annihilate us. Raven does not mind the fact that Crow is gone from our Tower. “I never trusted her. Something like this was bound to happen.” She had said to me earlier. I do not believe that she is not upset, for she has wanted much time alone like Robin.
As for me, I am not sure what to believe. Crow’s tale is one that you could doubt, yet I believe that she would not lie to us, especially Robin, one of her best friends. I went to his room to console him yesterday, and he was sitting on his bed, staring at the sheet. I did my best, yet he did not seem any more cheerful.
Then, the city alarm resonated throughout the Tower.
I was at the screen first. I brought the map to the screen and discovered the trouble. It was Alpha.
Together, we rushed to the middle of the city to stop Alpha and his robots from steal from a bank. It took me a short amount of earth time to realize that now that Crow was gone, there were many possibilities. One was that Crow would completely become like Terra and fight alongside Alpha. Another was that Alpha would annihilate us one by one, for Crow was the only one who how to truly defeat him. Other scenes played in my head, and all of them ended grimily.
When we had reached the ground of battle, there was nobody there. “Perhaps it was a false alarm?” I suggested, looking towards Robin, who was staring at the ground. “No,” He began to say, “I don’t th- gah!” Robin flew forward against the pavement, a black circle on his back where the laser had hit him,
“Or, perhaps not.” Alpha and his mechanical devices stepped out of the shadows, armed with lasers. “I see we’re one short, hmm? Did Crow leave of her own will, or was she forced?” Alpha smirked at his words.
“Titans, go!”
We split up in separate directions, Beast Boy and I taking the sky. We were in battle range when all of a sudden, a large spike of rock rose between me and the mechanical devices. I lightly crashed into the rock and as I landed on the ground, I watched more rock spikes rise up from the pavement to form a wall. “What just happened?” Beast Boy asked.
I looked up, I do not know why, but it was as if a force drove me to. There on the building top, was a cloaked figure. Two purple dots shone through the darkness of the cloak. Those eyes could only belong to one person. She had not left our beloved city after all.
It was Crow.
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
I saw her too, and I can’t express how happy I was that she hadn’t really left.
Crow made no motion or symbol that she saw us. She stood there, on the top of the building for a moment, then as a blur, Crow leapt down to behind the rock wall. I heard tons of slashes and the clatter of metal, then I heard Crow say loudly.
“Come on Alpha, did you really think your stupid trick was going to make me leave for good?” Her voice was dripping with pure hate, was she that angry at us? At Alpha? At me?
There was a loud roar, I didn’t know where it came from, but it seemed close. I knew Alpha and Crow were talking about something, but the roar of something was blocking the sound. All that was heard was murmurs. “Cy!” Robin called over to me and I looked over my shoulder. “We need to get in there. Try your sonic cannon.”
I wasn’t going to argue, at least, not now. This wasn’t the time. Personally, I thought that this was Alpha and Crow’s battle, and that we shouldn’t intervene. But I tried my sonic cannon. Crow had given the rocks mirrored sided so all lasers would ricochet off onto buildings. Smart.
“Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!” I heard Raven shout, and black energy encased the rock and it was flung to the side. Even though Raven had moved the rock away, it didn’t help at all. The roar earlier had been a wall of fire sprouting, and it was now flickering higher than BB and Robin on top of each other. Where had the fire come from?
Robin and I looked at each other, saying nothing. I knew what Robin what thinking, probably something like Crow never said she could control fire, what else had she lied to us about? I was willing to bet my life he had no idea what I was thinking. Why wasn’t Crow doing anything to us, or at least noticing we were here? Did she feel the same way I did? My head was full of questions, none of which I knew the answer to.
None of the Titans said anything, we were all to busy trying to listen to the conversation Alpha and Crow were having. Oddly enough, I couldn’t tell whose voice was whose, both sounded full of hate and cold. But one was a little higher than the other. I heard loud and random noises: slashes, laser blasts, odd dialogue, crashes, and yells of pain. “Robin, we have to help her!” I shouted, ramming one of my shoulders into the mirrored rocks. Robin looked at the ground, while the others looked at me, and started to speak.
“There… there was a time, a time when I wanted to help her once too. I… I couldn’t. It was something she needed to do on her own.” He looked at me, his mask drooping. “This is one of those things Crow has to do on her own. I know how you feel, but…”
There was a loud crash. Crow barreled through the wall of fire and rock and into the brick wall.
I couldn’t take it anymore. I sprinted forward; faster than I had ever run before. I heard Robin and the others yell at me to come back, but I didn’t listen, I wouldn’t. I watched Crow look over, her eyes back to their normal state. She saw me, and her eyes grew wide. Crow thrust her hand pointing towards me; her facial expression gave me a silent message.
Go.
A solid wall of rock formed before me, blocking her from my view. I skidded from stopping so soon. Robin ran over. “Cy, what are you thinking?!?” “Robin, Crow’s our friend! She wouldn’t hu-.” “ But she did, Cy, she did. And she tried to get out of it, which stings the most. I don’t get it either, but sti-.”
“SHUT UP!!”
As Crow’s voice thundered through the square, another body crashed through the rocks, this time it was Alpha. He fell and hit the pavement, moaning with agony. I watched the opening in the rocks intently, and Crow stepped out, torn and bruised. She walked towards Alpha angrily, voice pouring with pure anger and hate. “I don’t care what you say, or how you say it, but get it through your head that I. Am. Nothing. LIKE. YOU!!!”
With every step Crow took, there was an odd sound, like the crackle of fire. Now that I got a good look at her, it seemed like her bruises were healing, but there were new cuts and bumps forming on everywhere on her skin. Her clothes were torn on the sleeves, boots, leggings, shirt, everywhere you could see. Her eyes were radiating a deep purple, I hadn’t seen that before. She really needed help.
Crow spoke again. “You’ve taken everything I loved away. My home, my family, my friends, everything. I will not let you take away ANYTHING ELSE!!!” Her eyes shined the darkest purple you could think of as I burst of fire was flung from her hands onto Alpha’s chest. He shouted in pain as he slumped down the wall.
Crow continued to walk towards Alpha, when Alpha spoke. “You’re t-too much like… like your mother. Believed in… in the impossible…” “What are you, a stalker?” Crow had a point. He did seem to know everything about her. “You seem to know everything about m-.” Alpha held the box out in his shaking arm.
“I think…think I know a little mor-more about your mother than you d-do. And yo-your father.”
“NEVER TALK ABOUT MY FATH-.”
Alpha opened the box.
Here’s the thing about Crow. For as long as I’ve known her, she has yelped, shouted, cried, yelled, screeched, and roared with pain. But I have never heard her scream. And before, I doubted I ever will. That seems too unlike Crow, too girly.
And just then, Crow screamed.
Nothing came out of the box, but Crow was flung against the rocks (for at least the fifth time…) by… well, nothing. It was as if some invisible laser has blasted her off her feet. But the only noise was Crow screaming.
Robin and I glanced at each other, and I knew something was off. I looked back at Alpha, who was struggling to get up. “Remember this feeling?” He said, panting slightly. Crow was clutching her head, still screaming in pain. It was too much.
I ran again, directly towards her. She was crouching down on her knees now, eyes clamped shut, panting with pain. I crouched down next to her, my hand on her shoulder. “Crow…” All of a sudden, she stopped and was completely silent. She kept her head down, I couldn’t see her face. “Are you okay?” I asked her softly. I wanted an answer, a word, anything.
“Attack.”
Who was Alpha talking to? I looked over at him, puzzled. He was staring directly at me. Oh no. I froze, and all of a sudden, I felt something cold on my arm. “Huh?” It was Crow’s hands, and their grip tightened. “Crow, what are y-.” She twisted her arms and threw me against the wall. “Ahh!” I landed near the others. Robin extended his hand and said to me “What the heck was that?”
“My doing, that’s what.”
I looked at Alpha, who was standing up, clutching his arm. “Stand up, and face the Teen Titans.” I looked where he was looking, and immediately, Crow did it. I saw her emotionless face, and her eyes were different.
They were glowing a deep red.
“What th-.” “Yes, rather good for a prototype isn’t it?” Alpha said smirking. “You, Titans, are so gullible, as is Crow. When I brought her to Jump City on purpose, I had no idea this would be so easy.”
“What!?! You set her up?” I shouted at him coldly. “As a matter of fact I did. Do you know why?” He took a small step forward, wincing with pain. “I made it so when I killed Crow, I could easily destroy the person that would revenge her death when he knew I existed.” He pointed directly at Robin. “You. However, I did have to change my plans a mite when I found out the Teen Titans existed, but all well that end’s well, no?” He laughed evilly.
Robin started to shout, “Titans, g-.” “Wait a moment, Robin.” Alpha said softly, with a hint of malice in his voice. “There’s one thing I would like you to know.” “What’s that?” Robin growled. I think the fact Alpha was going to kill him next might have been too much for him to handle. “You should have let Crow finish her sentence, because the second picture I showed you was digitally enhanced.”
“WHAT!?!” Robin and I bellowed simultaneously. While I was still recovering from shock, BB said softly. “You mean… we sent her away for know reason?” “Yes, I guess that sums it up. Yet she did attack you in your evidence room. It was quite a show, I almost showed to friends.”
“What I’m telling you now is what she didn’t know, and she also didn’t know that right now, she would be annihilating her friends one by one. Crow?” Crow tilted her head to face Alpha, who was wearing a devilish grin. “Kill the Titans, and make it painful.” She looked back at us, face emotionless, and eyes radiating red. She answered his command with the worst two words that were strung together. “I will.”
And I finally panicked.

Okay Magick, would like it with fries? 'Cause here it is, this builds on what Cy started earlier.
Just a question, again, has anyone noticed the new character I pulled into the story? He might be important, you never know....
Ding, ding, ding! Here it is! With your Coca-Cola and fries! Oh, I'm sorry, you wanted Sprite? Um....
Chapter 17- The Necklace
As Seen Through the Eyes of Beast Boy
All of us owed Crow a huge apology, me most of all. But right when the girl you need to apologize to is being controlled physically and mentally and under orders to kill you and your friends, well, that really isn’t the time to do it.
Crow raised her arms conjured some sharp rocks to fly at us. Her hands glittered with a yellow light, but her eyes were red. I morphed into a cheetah and scampered out of the way. “Does anyone,” Robin shouted as he smashed lots of rocks with his bo staff, “Remember Crow saying how to break the trance?” “Don’t bother.” Alpha’s cruel filled voice rang throughout the square. “It can’t be broken. Even Crow knows that.”
“There’s gotta be somethin’!” Cy shouted over all the noise. He seemed to be very strong tonight, and I had only seen him like this when we were dealing with Brother Blood or the H.I.V.E. Crow kept tossing more rocks at us, and was now hovering on top of one. We couldn’t get close to her at all.
Finally, Star was able to distract her. “I am sorry to hurt you friend, but I do not wish for you to destroy the others!!” She fired a dozen starbolts at Crow, Rae threw some trash cans at her, and they all knocked her off the floating stone. It was my turn. I transformed into a rhino and used my horn to whack her in the chest and send her in the air. As she flew, she used her hands to create a ball of fire and fling it at me.
Well, that was a new trick.
I ran away, but it caught on my foot and burned with pain. I roared as I stumbled into the brick wall, automatically morphing back into my regular self. “Ohh…” I could feel the blisters forming on my foot. I watching as Crow wiped the dirt off her upper body and ran towards Robin with her sword in her hand.
The staff and the sword clashed with a loud bang. On Robin’s face was pure concentration, on Crow’s there was nothing. Robin shoved the end of the staff into her chest, causing her to fly back into another brick wall. As she crashed, bricks fell down and hit her head.
I expected her to stop fighting or faint or something like that, but she completely ignored the new gash in her shoulder and she got up and ran towards us. “She’s going to kill herself if she doesn’t stop fighting!” Robin shouted loudly, a hint of worry in his voice. “We have to make sure she doesn’t go overboard with this!” With a battle cry, he sprinted towards Crow, explosive disks in hand.
Their weapons, fireballs and disks, collided. There were more fireballs than disks, some of them hit Robin on his torso. He collapsed onto the pavement, unconscious. Crow leapt up on a rock and zoomed over towards Star and Rae. She raised her hands into the air, two lightning bolts struck them. She held them in front of her face and the jolts of lightning hit both girls in the chest and the two of them became unconscious.
She turned to face me. Oh no. Two light pink starbolts lit the palms of her hands. That must be what she took from Blackfire, starbolts. She caused a rock to hover in front of her, which she leapt onto. I couldn’t move fast enough, I was too slow, paralyzed with fear. Two huge starbolts collided with my chest and they sent me flying.
Where? Who knew, because everything after that was black.
As Seen in the Head of Crow
“Crow? Kill the Titans, and make it painful.”
Crow… is that, me?
I did not know. Who am I? Why am I here? What am I doing? I saw a red wall in front of me, and I was randomly moving my body. Twisting my arms, thrashing my legs, yet sometimes, standing still. What am I doing? Who am I?
This was all so strange. It was as if I was on strings, and I had no control. Somebody else did, but who? Was it these ‘Titans’ the voice spoke of? Who were they? Why were they spoken of? My mind was completely blank. I did not remember anything, why I was here, who I am, nothing.
What was the reason I was moving my body so? I did not know. I tried to stop, but as soon as I started to hesitate, I felt a sharp sting and at the risk of getting hurt again, I did not fight the movement. Yet my skin would randomly start to turn brown, blue, and purple and be sliced open, but I did not feel a thing. I ignored the marks and continued to move.
I could not stop, even though I tried hard. I had so many questions to ask. What was happening to me? Where was I?
Who am I?
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
It was like a final showdown. Crow and I were the only ones left. Crow was the very last person I wanted to fight. I knew that if it was really her inside, she wouldn’t fight me, if that was how she felt. I didn’t know how she felt, seeing as if she really didn’t say anything when I talked to her last.
Crow was just standing there, fire glowing in her palms. My throat felt dry, I wanted to rush over and talk to her, but it wasn’t her. It was Alpha. My blood boiled. This was entirely his fault. If he hadn’t killed Crow’s family, none of this would have happened. I would have never met Crow though…
“What are you waiting for Cyborg? I control her; she won’t show you any emotion. Don’t bother.” Alpha spat as I gazed into Crow’s glowing red eyes. Her face was emotionless, but her eye would twitch every once in awhile. “Crow, finish him off.” She extinguished the fire in her hands and drew out her sword. Its blade glittered in the unnatural light. As she ran towards me, she said nothing. I held my sonic cannon directly at her.
“I’m sorry Crow.”
As I said that to myself softly, an electric blue beam emerged from my cannon and hit her right in the chest. She flew back into the wall. I didn’t want her to get hurt at all, let alone suffer. I couldn’t do it again, I wouldn’t, I didn’t. I ran at her, fists clenched, as fast as I could. My anger at Alpha was feeding my energy.
Crow got up from the pile of rubble, brushed away a drop of blood on her arm, and sword drawn, she ran at me. She leapt up about ten feet in the air and she twisted her sword in her hands. Silhouetted against the moon like that, soaring in the air, she looked beautiful. I shook my head and bounded out of the way as she brought down her sword.
She hurdled towards me again, thrusting her foot into my chest. I stumbled and caught the foot she flung at me and tossed it away. Crow’s fist collided with my torso and sent me flying into the wall. I had no idea she was that strong, she apparently hadn’t shown her true potential to us yet. Maybe that was a good thing.
I stood up against the wall, trembling with pain. I closed my eyes for a moment. A moment too long. I felt a sharp poke against my throat.
I opened my eyes; it was Crow’s sword against my throat.
But she didn’t do anything after that. She just stood there, poised to kill me in a second. I have moved away at that point, but she could kill me at any second. I was plastered against the wall, paralyzed with fear.
I stared at Crow’s arm, the one holding the sword. Interestingly enough, her grip wasn’t steady. Her arm was trembling a little. Her eye was twitching again. Her fingers were shuddering a little, as if her grip was tightening and loosening the sword’s handle. I had expected Crow to take out all the stones in the blade’s handle, except for hers, but she hadn’t. She had left hers in, and mine.
I was waiting for her to kill me, I had no chance. After a moment, I realized that something was off. Was Crow fighting Alpha’s demon? She might be, I had no idea, but Crow did say the demon couldn’t be fought.
“What are you waiting for Crow? Kill him. Now.” Alpha smirked with pride. I swear, if I got out of this, I would crush him to dust. I stared back at Crow’s arm. Her arm and fingers were trembling violently now. What was going on? “Crow! I said to kill him!” Alpha’s voice had a hint of worry in it. I watched Crow’s fingers move slowly, their grip on the blade growing tighter and looser with every motion. Then it happened in a matter of seconds.
Crow’s sword fell to the ground with an echoing clatter.
As Seen in the Head of Crow
When looking through the red wall, I was able to see, feel, and hear flashes of things. Flashes of multicolored blobs, sharp tingles on my skin, noises that were not the voice. At one point, I was holding my arm in front of me. It was tiring, my arm was very heavy. My fingers were clamped over an imaginary object.
I tried to put my arm down and move my fingers. It stung like knives. The more I kept trying, the more it hurt, like I was being crushed by something. But somehow, as I kept trying, I got used to the pain, and it became easier to fight.
I finally moved my fingers, they let go of the heavy object.
As Seen Through the Eyes of Cyborg
I gazed at the sword lying on the pavement for a moment, then Crow. Her arm was shaking violently now, yet it was still in front of her. Something must have driven her to drop the sword. Pictures? Voices? Memories? Thinking about memories gave me an idea.
I opened a compartment in my chest and pulled out Crow’s necklace. The one she had given me when she left. Ever since she had given it to me, I had always kept it with me. I clutched it in my palm and I looked around at my friends. They were beginning to wake up. Thankfully, Crow hadn’t permanently put them to sleep. I slid the necklace’s chain into both of my hands and held it up.
I gently slipped the necklace over her head and onto her neck.
As Seen in the Head of Crow
I felt something fall onto my neck. It was light, and it didn’t weigh me down. I glanced down at it with my eyes, not moving my head. I saw a silver charm; it was a flat, wide line with two diagonal lines sticking out of it. Something struck my memory.
I saw flashes of random pictures and voices. A half man, half robot with a serious face clutching my hands, a red mask with black stripes, the half man, half robot leaning towards my face, a teenager with spiky black hair laughing, a tall woman who had hazel eyes and a brown bob of hair, my mother….
I remember…
A painful hot streak passed through my torso, near my heart, and I collapsed into the dark.

I haven't had time to read the whole thing yet, but I like what I see. The way you are writing it with the first person perspective and the limited releasing of details is excelent for the suspese factor and the story dosn't feel like it's dragging you through at any point. I will be sure to bookmark the page and finish reading it. Good work!

Thanks everyone! Sniffle, It's just, Sniffle, so beautiful. No, I am NOT running for Miss America.
Somehow, my computer is up and running, so here is that third to last installment. There will be the last chapter after and the epilouge. Yes, I know I can't spell.
In this chapter, I think I have a couple of one-liners, and I almost added one similar to Star Wars. But then I decided not to. Please tell me if you like the one about the insane little girl.
Ah... well. Here we go, enough senseless chatter. So many new fics!
Chapter 18- Resemblance
As Seen Through the Eyes of Robin
I woke up when Crow had her sword against Cy’s neck. It was awhile before I could stand up and walk, but I was able to see what happened with the sword. After the sword fell from Crow’s hands, it looked like Cy put something around Crow. They just stood there for a while, and then…
The red spirit of the box flew out of Crow’s chest and dissolved in the air.
Crow collapsed, and Cy caught her in his arms. He knelt down and laid her across his knee. I jogged over to see how she was. “Is she okay?” I panted; I was still pretty weak, seeing as I just woke up. He was staring at her face with a solemn look. He had a couple of dents on his metal skin, Crow must have been violent. Cy looked at me gravely. “I don’t know. Her pulse is really faint, as if she’s close to dying.”
Crow wriggled a little, as if she was waking up from a long nap. Her eyes were still closed, but her brow was furrowed. “De-define okay.” She coughed lightly, and I grinned out of relief. “You’re alive.” I said, pointing out the obvious. She groaned with pain. “What… what happened?” She opened her eyes slowly, they looked glazed. I explained what had happened, everything Alpha had told us, and how she had fought us.
There was a short pause after I was done. “I... I used fire?” Crow looked at me, then Cy. We both nodded are heads. Crow tilted her head back and muttered a word I didn’t hear. “Why didn’t you tell us you could use fire?” I questioned her softly. Crow looked at me, eyes returning to normal, “Didn’t... didn’t plan on using it… you know I… hate it.” She winced with pain.
That’s true, ever since Alpha set her family and house on fire, Crow has hated fire more than anything, except Alpha. I understood why she didn’t tell us. She struggled to get up, “No, Crow.” I put a hand on her shoulder, she coiled up with pain. “You need to rest. We’ll take you back to the Tow-.”
“No Robin.”
Crow took her hands and removed mine. “I need to do this now. This has gone on too long, and he has caused too much pain, physical and emotional.” I could have sworn she glanced at Cyborg when she said that, but I wasn’t sure. “I don’t care if I die tonight, I’m not afraid of death. But if I die, I make sure I take Alpha with me.” Her face was carved in stone; it was going to be pointless to attempt to persuade her. I extended my hand to help her up, and Crow took it. “Good luck.” I whispered softly. Crow gave the smallest of grins.
She stood up and gazed at me for a moment. “Get Star, Raven, and Beast Boy out of here, I think they’re badly hu-.” With a yell of pain, Crow was hit with a golden beam, right on the chest. She landed in the pile of rubble she had created earlier. I wheeled around to where it had come from. “So sorry to break up this moment, but I have places to go, and people to kill.” Alpha grinned maniacally. A burst of fire came from behind me, it was Crow’s.
“Come now, Crow. Didn’t anyone tell you children should never play with fire?”
Crow smirked slightly as Alpha took out a familiar looking flamethrower. He had used it on his first attack towards Crow and me. He pressed the trigger and a spurt of fire came out. “Apparently neither of us got the message.” Eyes glowing purple, she zoomed towards him on a rock, flinging fireballs as she went. Each one hit him in the chest, directly
Crow leapt down from the rock and dangerously walked towards him, fire glowing in the palms of her hands. She watched him struggle as more fireballs whacked him in the torso.
“You chose to kill my family Alpha, and I don’t know why. You tried to kill me, and I don’t know why. You tried to make me kill my friends, and I don’t know why. You are trying to kill me today, and I don’t know why. But I do know this. Tonight, you will suffer, you will scream, you will die.”
“And you know what the best part of this whole ordeal will be?” Crow stopped flinging fireballs and walking. I could only see the back of her now, but I knew what her face would look like. Her eyes would be shining purple, her mouth would be pulled into an unnatural sneer, and she would have a look of pure hate on her face. “Would you like to know the best part Alpha?” Crow’s voice rang throughout the square.
“’Listening to you scream.’”
As Seen Through the Eyes of Crow
It was good to control myself again. Not being trapped in my head, that’s better. Yet still, a limited amount of thoughts ran through my head. This was it, I had been waiting for this opportunity for six years. There was no way I was going to let Alpha scamper away like the sewer rat that he is.
I conjured up a sphere of fire at least a foot wide and shoved it into his torso. He gasped with pain and flew up into the air. Alpha was fast though; he swept out his flamethrower and shot flames at me. I placed my hands in front of me and created an electric shield. The shield absorbed the flames and I leapt towards him, demolishing the shield.
Alpha landed softly on his feet. “You may have fought the box, but I bet your friends can’t!” He held it out it his left palm. I’m not going to let him hurt or kill anyone else, let alone the few friends I have left. I caused a spike of pavement to knock the box out of his hand and it flew into the air and landed in my outstretched hand. “Oh yes Alpha, like I’m going to let you do that.” I said sarcastically.
Now that I saw the box this close, I realized how small it was. The size of my sword’s hilt, no bigger. As I held the box in my fist, it was like I had the entire world at my fingertips. I could have done anything with it, set it on innocent people, dominate the world, whatever I wanted.
I realized that I had started to think like a criminal, an assassin, Alpha. I did the only thing that I thought was best. If I die now, let it be by fighting for what’s right.
I crushed the box into fragments, releasing the spirit.
“No!!” Alpha cried as the red demon swirled around me. I dumped the pile of metal, wood, and dust onto the ground. The spirit circled my legs. I shot a spurt of fire from my hands towards it, and as soon as the fire hit the demon, it dissolved into the air. “Oops.” I smirked yet again. I had taken a wild guess on the fire thing. I had never bothered doing it before, seeing as I’ve barely used fire. Why did it come to me now? Of all times? Alpha’s eyes were wide with fear now; he and I both knew that he had no chance.
I raised my hand and caused sparks to fly from my fingertips. I looked at Alpha again, yet this time with a grin as devilish as his and glowing eyes. My hair flew around my shoulders, and the purple feather adorned in it hovered with it He took his flamethrower out and fired at me a couple of times. I blocked them all using a shield of electricity. I spent a mix of fire and electricity at his chest, and it pitched him against the wall. He slunk down it as if he was a slick slug. And he is.
I drew my sword from its hilt and stalked towards him. Alpha was struggling to stand up, but I swiftly brought it to his throat. I was panting heavily. The moment of truth.
Thoughts ran through my head, tons of them. One thought really stood out in my mind. Kill Alpha.
I had wanted to do this ever since I was ten years old. I wanted to slit Alpha’s throat for all the pain he caused me. He took all the joy out of my life. It was his fault I was covered in scars. It was his fault that I had no family left, that I loved, anyway. It was his fault that my life was a giant mess. I vowed six years ago to make him suffer, make him scream, make him pay.
I was silent, not saying a word. I stood there, poised to kill him at any seconds. “Any last words Alpha?” I growled. I felt that if I didn’t kill him soon, he would kill me. Alpha winced with pain as I pushed the blade into his throat more. “Wha- what are you?” He questioned in a whisper.
When I was sitting in one of my underground tunnels, after I had left the Tower, I had leaned against the wall and thought of an answer to that same question. I couldn’t think of a good one. Who was I, really?
I tilted the blade and pushed into his chin a tad more. “What am I?” I grinned maniacally. “I’m an insane little girl who has unnatural powers which make her an outcast. Does that sound right to you?” Alpha’s eyes were clamped shut with fear and pain. I drew my arm back, ready to plunge my rapier into his throat. I had never killed anyone before, but there’s a first time for anything.
I started to dig my sword into Alpha’s throat, but I felt something hold me back. “Crow, don’t.” Robin said quietly. His grip was strong, strong enough to keep me from moving. “Robin. Let. Me. Go.” My voice sounded calm, but with every word it became more dangerous. “Crow, I’m not going to stop you, but think about what you’re going to do.”
“If you kill him, you’ll be just as bad as he is. Just like him. If you want that, then go ahead. I won’t stop you.” I glared at the brick wall in front of me as Robin let go and I heard him take a step back. I was about plunge the blade into his throat when I stopped to think for a moment.
The last person I even wanted to be compared to was Alpha. I wanted revenge, but I didn’t want to be compared Alpha, let alone have something in common with him. I am not a villain, I am not a murderer, I am nothing like Alpha.
Somehow, I knew that by not killing him, I would feel deprived of desire. I don’t know why, was killing Alpha really my goal? Was that what drove me to hunt him down all these years? Was that why I lived? I had a purpose left, get revenge. Yet now, it seemed like the wrong thing to do. Did I really want to be like him? To cause death and pain? To hear screams of death, caused by me?
No.
I tilted the sword, and pushed it into his throat one more time. I heard a sharp intake of breath from behind me. “You, Alpha, are extremely lucky that I am not insane. Yet, that is.” I slowly brought the sword down to my side.
I started to turn around on my heel, but stopped in the middle. I was going to just leave him there, with no penalty for what he had caused? His pain now wasn’t enough. Alpha deserved to die, to scream, to writhe in pain. But it wasn’t going to be me to do it, no. I am sick of pain and suffering. I finally had friends, a home, a way I could have spent the rest of my life. But no, Alpha had to come and wreck it all. The anger boiling in me took control of my arm, and I didn’t bother to fight it.
With a small yell, I swung the sword around and slid it down his face, despite the cries from my friends. I positioned my arm back at my side, and the two perfectly even halves of Alpha’s mask clattered to the ground.
Even though his shut were clamped shut, I recognized his face. It was a face I saw everyday, yet I hadn’t seen in eight years. It was a face that had familiar shape and features. It was a face that had left my life years ago. It was the face of a man.
It was the face of a man whom I had never wanted to see again.
As Seen Through the Eyes of Raven
I had never seen Crow like this before. I thought she was mad at Beast Boy, oh no. She was merely annoyed then. Crow was just as bad as me, or possibly worse. She was really set on killing this man, who killed her family. She was worse than Robin with Slade. She was worse than Cyborg and Brother Blood. She was worse than me with my father.
And that’s really saying something.
Crow was standing in the way, so we couldn’t get a glimpse of Alpha. I saw his mask plummet to the ground though, but was he looked like was a mystery. Pure silence after the mask fell. Crow just stood there, like a Macy’s mannequin. Robin stepped forward softly and put a hand on Crow’s shoulder, he couldn’t see Alpha’s face either. “Crow, are y-.”
Crow spun around, head hanging down. I couldn’t see her eyes, let alone her face. “I, I need to be alone.” She replied hurriedly, and without another word, Crow swept out of the area, only to ride on away on her moped. Starfire and I glanced at each other confused. You would think Crow would be happy that she was going to be able to put this man in jail once and for all. After all, she had been chasing him for six years.
Robin hadn’t glanced behind him at all to watch Crow’s departure. He was now the person that stood in the way of Alpha’s face. “Oh God…” He muttered softly. He swayed on his feet for a moment, transfixed with what he saw, then snatched him up by the throat. “Crow may not have killed you, butshe should have!” Robin snarled. Cy raised his eyebrows and said. “What’s goin’ on?” He said softly. “Take a good look!” Robin flung Alpha in the air in front of all of us.
Starfire gasped, Beast Boy said “No way!” Cyborg said “What the…” I said it the best way to describe it. “Whoa.”
Crow was the spitting image of her father.

The stuff with Crow kicking Alpha's ass was fantastic, it really made you feel her blood-boiling rage and her joy in finally being able to win. However, I was a bit dismayed with you picking the cheesy option of having her grant him mercy right at the end, but the bombshell that followed suit counter-acted that wonderfully. The line "it was a face I saw everyday, yet I hadn’t seen in eight years" did give me too much of a clue, however, but the twist itself is just so genius that I'm willing to let that slide.
I can see why you didn't use the Star Wars line. If it was the line that Raven37 said it would have been - which it probably was - then it would have been ver, very funny indeed, but having a gag at that point wouldn't have been the smartest of ideas.
Now, could you please get on and post the next chapter so's I can find out exactly what the f***k is going on?

:D Aww.... I AM loved after all... :o
Okay Welshie's Mate, here is what I've already said in my story
Alpha (Crow's father) left their family because his wife, son, daughter (not Crow) and Crow put his brother in jail and he couldn't deal with it
He divorced Crow's mother and left their life entirely (or so they thought...)
Robin was sent to protect Crow and her family from any harm from Alpha, and Crow and Robin became good friends
Crow, after two years of 'protection', 'dies'
See? This is what I've said so far, but I may get more elaborate wityh this later. And Welshie's Mate, I didn't have Crow kill Alpha because, well, think about it. What would you do if Lord Welshi (Sorry, can't think of a better example, please forgive me...) killed somebody in the same situation? He would have to deal with the fact that he is no better, and he is a murderer. How would you react your friend killing someone?
So... has anyone likes the little girl line? I liked that one a lot, and I think it's one of my best lines, if I do say so myself.

Amazing. Truly amazing. I didn't really think all that much about Alpha's identity until Crow split open the mask, but after that, i was pretty sure it was her dad. But at the beginning with that starwars line, i thought you were going to use the "I love you!"....."I know" but there we are. keep up the great work

Right. It's been a while since I read all the stuff about Crow and Alpha's relationship, so I must admit that it all pretty much passed me by. So, yeah, I now feel pretty stupid, but never mind.
As for that...well, let's just put it like this: my personal opinion on these things is that life is simply too short and unpleasant for it to have any real sacredness. So, if Welshie did happen to kill someone, I would more than likely be able to (eventually) forgive him. If he killed someone for revenge purposes, it wouldn't necessarily make him a murderer per se, because there isn't really any such thing as a moral high ground from which you could criticise him. There are simply too many moral and ethical codes in the universe for any one of them to obviously superior and the one that we should all follow: the only appropriate morality is the one that each of us believes in. We can't attack someone for doing what they think is right, because it may eventually turn out that they're right and we're wrong, and we would then look pretty bloody stupid. We can say that we don't like what they're doing, and then act accordingly from there, but we can't pretend that they're right or wrong in any real objective sense...because there is no objective sense. Do you see what I mean?
Anyway, that's my view at least. If you don't like it, then fair enough. I won't hold it against you.
Oh, and your story is superb. I'd love to see how it all turns out.

Ah well, here we go. All good things have to end sometiime, as Rrarbecy told me once...
Chapter 19- Emotions
As Seen Through the Eyes of Crow
If I had stayed back there any longer, somebody would be in the hospital with a broken neck right now. I’m not kidding. I needed to vent, do something. No one, not even Robin, understood how I felt right now. I was bursting with mixed emotions, my emotions spilt everywhere. Confusion. Anger. Relief. Grief. Shock.
Pain.
I was standing alone on the top of Titans Tower. I wasn’t sure if I was still welcome here, but being up here just was so serene, it made me feel at ease. At least, a little bit anyway. The wounds and bruises on my skin stung like fire, but it was the emotional pain inside that felt worse. How did I not see this coming? It made sense, but it didn’t at the same time.
Seeing my father stung more than any other physical pain I had ever experienced. He killed my mother, his ex-wife. He killed my older brother, his son. He killed my sister, his daughter. He tried to kill me. I am his daughter. Ever since that time when he left eight years ago, I had never seen, or wanted to see, him again. My family lived in peace, and I forgot all about my father.
I had no father.
He is not my father. A father is a person who will hold you when you cry, who will smile when you laugh, who bandages your scratches, who stops your tears. He holds you when he says he loves you, he smiles when you do your best, he cries when you have died.
I had no father.
A father is not the person that kills you and your family because he doesn’t know the difference from right and wrong. A father does not leave you when you need him most. A father does not put you completely under his control. A father does not kill and tries to kill your loved ones and friends. A father does not put his family in the grave, and is then proud.
I have no father.
Not killing Alpha, not father or Dad or anything of the sort, felt like I was making a mistake that you don’t bother fixing, it sticks there in your head to remind you how you didn’t do your best. How you failed. This wasn’t a stupid test, this was real life. Real life isn’t fun. This is my real life. It is my life that has been focused on revenge all this time. It is my life that causes me to suffer, emotionally and physically. It is my life that makes me want to cry.
I don’t cry.
I clutched my cloak closer to my skin and recoiled from stings of my gashes. I was having trouble standing because of the pain. I felt woozy, but my emotions made me stronger. I needed to get away, to soar, to run from it all. I looked down onto the rocks below and swayed for a moment. I glanced slowly towards the Jump City skyline. I needed to jump, to fly, to run. Run away, away from all the pain and suffering. Away from all of this.
Closing my eyes, I caused a rock to float in front of me. I opened my eyes, and it was there, hovering softly, as if to give me the choice of leaving or staying here. I cautiously took a step onto the stone. “You’re not leaving, are you?” I turned around, it was Cy. He was leaning against the door, giving me a soft look and smile. My stomach repeated that flopping sensation I had been having recently.
I grinned back in the same quiet way. “It’s on my mind.” His face fell, and I knew I couldn’t just leave without an explanation. I extended my hand out towards him, even though he was at least fifteen feet away. “Come with me, I want to show you something.” He hesitantly stepped forward, and once he was on, I closed my eyes and the rock floated away from the tower.
We soared quietly, neither of us making a sound. Eventually, I opened my eyes and we were hovering over open water with a gorgeous view of the skyline. “Wow.” I said under my breath. “I never knew that your city was so… so…” “Fantastic?” Cy finished for me. I gazed at him, and he gazed at me. “Yeah, that.”
There was another awkward pause as we both sat down on the edge of the rock. They all had either figured it out themselves, or Robin had told them that Alpha was my father. “Did Robin do, I mean did he, um… te-.” I started to stutter, I felt a certain stiffness between us, ever since he had approached me in the garage. “We kinda figured it out on our own. It wasn’t that hard to tell.” He said softly, looking back at the skyline. We sat in silence for a few more minutes, then I started a conversation.
“You think that I would be happy, or at least relieved that Alpha’s gone. But I’m not. I, I don’t know how I feel. I know I should be glad, but there’s ju-.” “Just something there that makes you want to run, to leave everything behind.” Cy concluded for me again. “Yeah…” I said softly. “Yeah…”
“I don’t know how I should feel Cy, I really don’t. My father left my life years ago, out of anger that we put his brother in jail. Ever since then, my friends and family have filled his place as much as they could. Even though I mostly forgot him, there was still this place inside of me that needed somebody there. To hold you when you cry, to smile when you laugh, to, to be there when you need them most. From then on, the only times I needed him were when everyone else was gone. But I was able to depend on myself more and more, and I never needed him again.
But occasionally there, there were those times that I missed him and needed him. Those times were eventually filled by the anger I had at Alpha, and how much I wanted to kill him for what he did. I never needed my father again. But right when you don’t need somebody anymore, they have a knack to show up. I once had a father, but that was more than eight years ago. I never had a father again, and I don’t have one now.”
I looked back at the skyline and put my head on my knees. I held them tightly to my chest. I felt a cold hand on my shoulder, and even though it was cold and on one of my most painful wounds, it gave me comfort in knowing it was there. “I, I know I can’t say much about your past, but I know about the present. You may not need your father any more, but he is who he is, whether you like it or not. He may be in jail, but he’s also in you. People do wrong, they sin, nobody is perfect Crow, and we both know that. But there comes a time when people choose their path. You chose the path that was not becoming like Al-, like a murderer. He chose the path to get revenge years ago. You could have made the wrong choice tonight, but you didn’t.”
“But still, you two are different as fire and ice, and that doesn’t mean he’s not your father. He is, but in a way, he isn’t.” I smiled softly and looked at Cy, who was staring straight ahead, into the city’s skyline. He may not have any idea how I felt, even though he tried to understand, but he cared. That was all that mattered, to me anyway.
After another long unnatural pause, I said something completely awkward, in my opinion anyway “There’s a myth about Alexander the Great. There was a king who said he would give his kingdom to the man who could untie this knot that he had created, called the Gordian knot. The knot was supposed to be unbreakable, because nobody could undo it. When Alexander the Great attempted to untie it, he merely used his sword to slice through it. Even though he didn’t really untie it, Alexander the Great had too many armies He got the kingdom by taking the easy way out.”
“My life has been like a series of Gordian knots. Every time I come across one, I use my own sword to slice through it, take the easy way out. You have to work for what you want, not just slice through it and call it done. I can’t do that any more Cy, I can’t. Something about me has changed. My emotions are messed up so badly, I wish I could just slice through them and… and…” I sighed and put my chin on my knees.
Yet another rare pause formed between us until Cyborg said to me. “How do you know so much about myths and stuff?” I smiled softly too myself. It meant a lot that he was trying to get off the main topic, even if it would still sting later. Possibly harder. “When I was at the H.I.V.E. academy, I went under the name Artemis, Greek goddess of the hunt. They made me take a stupid mythology class. I thought Alpha might have been there, but he wasn’t. That w-.”
“Wait a sec, you went undercover at the H.I.V.E??” Cy asked abruptly, as if he was surprised. Why was he so surprised? “Well, yeah. That’s where I met Jinx.” “No way! I went under cover at the H.I.V.E!” We looked at each other with surprised expressions on both our faces. “You’ve got to be kidding.” I said with a small smile.
After that, we just started gabbling on about the H.I.V.E. We both liked it there, because it made us feel like we were normal again, even though we weren’t. We both hated Gizmo, and thought he was an annoying little brat. We had so much in common, and I had only realized it now. Talking to Cy made me feel at ease, like I was welcome. Like I wasn’t some sort of freak. He made me feel normal.
I looked at the skyline, and the bottom of the sun was grazing the skyscrapers. I stood up, “We should go back. It’s later than I thought; the others will probably be looking for you.” Cy stood up next to me. “And you.” He added quietly. Forgetting to close my eyes, I caused the slab of rock to soar back to the tower’s roof. As Cy and I stepped off, he softly said, “So, are you going to leave?”
I thought about it as I clutched my cloak tighter to my chest. I had such a good life here, with my best friends and doing what I love. I was accepted here, why should I give all that up? Alpha. Would they accept me for they way I had acted? I was vicious back there, no denying it. Would I be accepted again? I was changed, now that Alpha was in jail. How did I feel? Lighter? It was like a weight had been taken off my chest, as if I could fly. Was I going to leave?
“No Cy, I don’t think I will.” I smiled at him, and he smiled out of relief. We just stared at each other for a few minutes. I felt that flipping sensation in my stomach again. I knew what I had to do, I had to make it up to Cy. For the way I had been earlier. “Well,” Cy said, breaking the silence,” Let’s go inside, they’re probably waiting for us.”
Cy started to walk forward, but I placed my hand on his shoulder. “Um, Cy.” He looked at me, and I felt the heat rise to my cheeks. “I um…well I, I wanted to, to thank you for asking me, erm, not to leave earlier. If it hadn’t been for you, I, I probably would have left Jump City for good. So, so umm…” I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but I needed to do it.
I closed my eyes and pressed my lips softly against his cheek.
They were stuck there for a few seconds, then I slowly drew them away and opened my eyes. “Thanks.” There was a look of surprise on his face, but it was good surprise. Like it was your birthday, or Christmas had come three months early. I couldn’t see them, but I could tell they were bright red. “Come on,” I started to walk forward. “We should go down and see the others.” I opened the door a bit. “Um, Crow?” I looked at Cy, he was still standing in the same position, except facing me.
“I was um… wondering if you uh… wanted to go out for, for um…” Cy was blushing now, pink patches appeared on his human cheek. “Go out for pizza, sometime. Yeah…” I grinned shyly. “Yeah, Cy. I’d like that. A lot.” He grinned and we started to walk downstairs.
The more I walked, the more I began to realize how I felt. My physical pain was still there, but it felt as if my emotional pain was gone. As was the shock, grief, and whatever else was inside of me. The feeling that took its place was one I hadn’t completely felt in eight years. Bits and pieces were in me, but it was never really there. The feeling inside was one that made me feel as if I could fly up to the clouds and sleep on it. It was a feeling that made me feel as if I was living in a dream, even though I wasn’t.
Bliss. Pure Bliss.

yeah, i liked this alot, the plot twist was excellent, and the cy/crow relationship is nicely presented. It's not out-and-out romance, but there's a little something there that could develop

Okaaay. I take back everything I said earlier.
Having Crow not kill Alpha did seem like a cop-out when I initially read it, but, thanks to that chapter, it now makes sense. For that small revelation, I am indeed very grateful.
Plus, if there ever will be a sequel/related story/whatever - and please, please, please let there be one - you have the emerging Crow/Cyborg relationship to make things...interesting. There may only be the beginnings of it here, but the fact that there is clearly something there to work with is something that is very hard to put across both subtly and without excessive cheese. Such a trick has been pulled off here without equal, and so an inferior writer who has tried and failed at such a stunt many, many times - i.e., me - has no choice but to give you some major respek. Sorry, respect.
Anyway, I will impatiently await the epilogue and your next Crow related story...there will be one, won't there?

Well, here it is. The final installment. Please tell me if you like it and if you get it. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and that everyone ate lots of turkey.
Epilogue
One of the most amazing and worthwhile things about keeping a diary is looking back at your previous entries and seeing how you’ve changed. I’ve been flipping through these pages, seeing how dark and ponderous my entries were before I saw Robin again, and met the other titans. Ever since then my life seems like it’s finally going to come to an even level. No more mountains to climb, no more tunnels to dig, no more people that you’ve had a six year vengeance on.
The last diary entry before I saw the Titans began like this: There are many reasons I keep a diary, none of which I wish to disclose. Then the whole ordeal with the Teen Titans started, and my entries began to start like this:
Jump City is where Alpha is, I’m positive this time.
There are those times you want to smash buildings, and times when you want to rebuild them.
Wow. My diary entries are weirder than I thought.
I just got back from my ‘date’ with Cy, and it was really fun, but I’m not sure it would be considered a date. We walked to the Pizza place, and obviously ate some pizza. It’s really easy to have a conversation with him. We could talk about everything and nothing at the same time, do anything and we would still have a good time. Am I in love?
I’ve never been in love before, so I have no idea what it is. Am I in it? Is it like companionship, except more important? Who really knows? I definitely don’t, but maybe Star knows. I should ask her soon, but I need to make sure I don’t make her suspicious. Personally, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to let the others know that Cy and I like each other. When I’m ready to let the others know, I’ll tell them. I’m pretty sure Cy feels the same way, but I’m not sure. I’ll have to ask.
Feelings, while I’m on the topic. Robin and I were talking yesterday, and I think he and I both noticed I was different somehow. We both knew it wasn’t noticeable, but it was like a lighter feeling. I think Robin felt the same way when Slade died, but I’m not going to get him raving anytime soon.
But something has been bugging me for the past couple of days. I know I have officially gone on my first ‘date’ (if that’s what you want to call it) and all, but something Alpha asked me is stuck in the back of my head. ‘What are you?’
‘Who am I?’ would be a more appropriate question, but I can’t find the answer. When I delivered my ‘insane little girl’ line, I was really just joking around. But really, who am I? I know I’m Crow (or maybe I’m not…), but I’m looking for the emotional/spiritual answer. I have thought of so many answers to this question, but I don’t think any of them are right. Here are the best ones I thought of:
Who I am: An insane little girl with unnatural powers that define her as an outcast
What I am: Complicated
Who I am: A Teen Titan
Who I am: A The Duplicate (Oh, lets celebrate for that one. I still hate my powers, nothing new about that)
Who I am: A girl who is confused
I really, really, really, REALLY hate having writers block. You can’t think of anything. The above answers don’t have the flair I’m looking for. They don’t really express me; give you a window to look into. I need something simple, something creative, something…
Oh! I got it! I just thought of the most brilliant answer. I really like it a lot, it expresses me and it doesn’t at the same time. But that was Robin on the speaker just now. Whoever’s cooking dinner is done. I’m really hoping it’s not Beast Boy. From what I’ve heard, he can’t cook at all. So I’m just gonna scrawl my answer down and end this entry. So, for this whole ordeal, all’s well that end’s well. Oh yeah, my answer.
Who am I?
I am a Girl called Crow

"Well done. It appears I am not needed around here any more..."

Okay, just for the record, I am going to write as many stories as I can. Not at the same time, but I KNOW Crow will be a regular (actually, are any of the Titans regular?) titan. As for other stories....
Think Road Trip. Think Framed. Think Stranded. Think Football. Think Raven's powers. Think evaporation. Think a orange and black mask. Not all in the same story though, not at all. I know how the majority of all the stories go already. I'm insane
Now to start on Road Trip....:anime:

Thanksgiving break was great. Turkey, pies, stories. Dang! I can't believe it took me so long to read this! It is absolutely amazing - the best 1st person story I can remember reading. I absolute love this story - plus, it's complete. You get the whole thing (if you can make it through the garbagy posts to find the chapters). Let me list some high points:
1) The fight scenes are beautifully choreographed (sp?). I can always see an interesting battle here. Never a dull moment.
2) The Greek theme. Wonderfully carried throughout this whole thing. Quite nice. Alpha, Pandora, Greek Letters, even references to the Gordian Knot.
3) Alpha. Great villian. Not quite as wicked as Slade (my personal opinon - Slade can't be beat), but he's somebody you take seriously. I like how whenever he speaks you put it in italics. That just makes the reading easier and gives him a creepy voice.
4) The final showdown with Crow/Alpha. Simply amazing. I almost though that Crow would turn around and just cut Alpha in two. The physical and emotional tensions play upon eachother so well, it's just stunning.
5) Characterization of Beast Boy. I like the way he always seems to equate Crow with Terra. BB has Terra on the brain, and she should affect everything that he does.
6) The beginning and ending. They fit together so well. It just blew me away (have I run out of ways to express myself yet? Yes, definetly). The last line, ending with the title of the story, cinches (sp?) the whole thing up nicely.
7) Did I mention that I love your use of 1st person?
8) The Crow/Cyborg relationship. Nice, soft, and touching. Nothing crazy like L. Welshi and Rrarbecy write. That goes over very well with me (not to put down the other writers. Don't ever take it like that).
Ok, I did tell you I'd look for something to complain about. Here it is.
Their battle is nothing, nothing, compared to mine and Slade’s
Robin says that in chapter 14. I didn't think it was clear. It makes the oposite point of what it should have. For shame.
Wow. All this, and that's all I can find to gripe about.
Congradualtions on an excellent story,

Yeah... I just realized that... (Laughs uncomfortably) Oops.
I have never even tried to write romance, fight scenes, or other stuff like that before, but I'm glad you guys liked it. As for the Beast BOy thing, I wasn't completely sure how that was going to turn out, but I guess it was okay.
As for the Gordian Knot story, that's actually a Egyptian myth. I found that in the Series of Unfortunate Events Books.
Cheers!
