OK peoples, here's my next story. It's not going to be as serious as Vanishing Act, this is more a bit of fun. It's an idea i've been messing with for a bit and I thought I should finally start with it. The prologue is not, in itself, intended to be the best piece of writing I have ever done, it is merely there to serve the purpose of introducing a little bit of the background to the rest of the story. And, as you may have noticed with Vanishing Act, the chapter will improve as I go along (I hope). On with the story. I give you Teen Titans: The Musical!
N.B. it is advised that yu have seen Fractured before reading this prologue, otherwise you won't undertsand a few things.

--------------------------------------

Prologue: Normality Restored...?

The city had returned to normal. At least as normal as a city filled with super-villains including a giant block of walking cement and a sentient ball of electricity could ever hope to get. Johnny Rancid, after altering reality into a black and twisted former version of itself, had been defeated by the Titans, was now safely locked up in prison, and his bike sold off at a police auction. The citizens of Jump City had returned to their homes, trying to get back to their normal lives after the horrific changes they had lived through; first a horrific Crayola nightmare featuring Godzilla, then the dark oppressive terror of Rancidville.

The Titans were in their tower. They were giving their farewells to a small, round and cheerful being. He floated gently above the ground, tears in his eyes. He knew he would have to leave now, and he would miss his new friends immensely. He raised a small hand, preparing to leave.

“Hold on!” a voice said. The small fellow turned to look up at his hero, Robin. Robin continued to speak. “Before you head back home, how about you fix my arm?” he asked, tapping the cast around his arm.

Larry was dumfounded. “Really?” he asked earnestly. “Another chance? Even though I might mess up?”

Robin smiled and nodded. “Just give it your best shot.”

Larry smiled back. He raised his hand, his long gloved finger straightening. He pointed it straight at the white cast. The fingertip glowed yellow as it made contact with the solid covering of Robin’s arm. There was a bright flash. Robin shut his eyes, looking away from his arm. He turned back, and found that he could freely move his arm. The cast was gone.

“Perfect!” he said, flexing his newly healed appendage. “You did it…umm…” Robin looked around at his surroundings. Or lack of them. He was in a large white expanse, devoid of any objects or life. “Larry?” he called.

“Heh heh…oops…” Larry’s voice echoed in the white void.

“Where have you sent me?” Robin shouted. His voice was sucked into the infinite white space.

“Umm…you’re kind of stuck between your reality and a small unknown one that exists in between some of the bricks of your tower,” came the hesitant reply.

Robin sighed, placing a hand on his forehead. “Right, just get me back!”

“Hang on!” The white space glowed a brilliant yellow, before exploding into a cascading fountain of colour. Robin felt himself being pulled forwards at an incredible speed, before coming to an abrupt stop. He was jolted left then right, before being thrown high into the air. He reached the peak of his ascent, before he began to plummet. He cried out, shutting his eyes. Again, he stopped. He could feel ground beneath him. He risked opening his eyes. He yelled in surprise as a large green tiger appeared in his vision.

“Beast Boy!” he shouted, making to grab the large feline as it morphed into a small mouse and ran off. “Don’t do that!”

The mouse changed into the teen form of Beast Boy. “Yrros, edud! T’ndluoc tsiser!”

“You know, those subtitles are real handy,” Cyborg mused, reading the yellow letters that hung in front of Beast Boy as he spoke.

“Ton ynnuf! Siht si loocnu!”

Robin sat up, dazed. He patted himself down, checking for any extra body parts he may have grown on the return trip. He sighed in relief when he found he was his normal self.

“Well, I got to go.” Larry turned around again, ready to leave.

“What if you’ve changed reality again?” Raven asked morosely.

“Nah. If it has changed, it’ll wear off.”

“Ekil ym hcaeps, thgir?”

“Yeah.”

Starfire gave Larry a hug. “Farewell small, amusing version of Robin! We shall miss you!”

Larry’s eyes turned into heart shapes. “I will miss you guys too. Good luck, Robin!” Larry waved his finger, and was gone.

The Titan’s furtively looked around. The sky was normal, the sea was blue, and the city hadn’t become a child’s picture story. Everything seemed fine.

“I guess we got nothing to worry about,” Cyborg said. “My scanners say we’re all fine.”

“My head is not trying to fly away!” Starfire said with glee.

“I guess everything is back to normal then,” Robin added.

“Tpecxe ym gniklat, you mean. Wha- hey! I can talk forwards again!” Beast Boy said triumphantly as the subtitles vanished before him.

“What a shame,” Raven said quietly.

“Alright ya’ll, inside for some r and r!” Cyborg said, opening the roof door.

The tired Titans made their way into the tower, failing to notice the quiet music that was building across the water.

OK peoples, here is chapter one to Titans: The Musical. I hope you all enjoy. I am sure you can all guess the tune when it comes to the singing. Feel free to sing along with the Titans! Enjoy!

-------------------------
Chapter 1: A song in the Making

The music started gently. It had a soft sound to it, which slowly built in volume before reaching the ears of the startled Titans. They were sitting in the living room, watching the big screen TV. Raven was hovering above the floor, reading a small book that floated gently in front of her. The music crept into the tower, reverberating down the corridors before bursting into the room. Robin looked round at Beast Boy.

“Turn the music down, BB.”

“Sure,” said Beast Boy, turning to the stereo. He paused, noticing the power was already off. “Umm, guys, it’s not the stereo.”

Cyborg looked up. “Well whatever it is, it’s got a catchy beat to it,” he said, tapping his foot to the rhythm.

The Titans all stood, walking across to the window and staring out at the city. There was no one on the island, so the music wasn’t coming from there, and the city was too far away for even the loudest music to penetrate the tower walls.

The gentle beat picked up speed, before a gentle guitar plucked into the music. It was all around them, moving through their very bodies, burying deep into their minds. Robin opened his mouth to say something, but his voice spoke different words. In tune to the music. He was singing.

Robin: When there’s trouble, you know who to call…
Raven and Starfire suddenly joined in. “Teen Titans!”

Robin: From their tower they can see it all…
Girls: Teen Titans!
Robin: When there’s evil on the attack
You can rest knowing they got your back
When the world needs heroes on patrol…
Girls: Teen Titans, go!

Cyborg suddenly leapt in.

Cyborg: With their superpowers they unite…
Girls: Teen Titans!
Cyborg: Never met a villain that they liked…
Girls: Teen Titans!
Cyborg: They got the bad guys on the run,
They never stop ‘til the job gets done
And when the world is losing all control…
Girls: Teen Titans, Go!
Teen Titans, Go!

Beast Boy took up Cyborg’s place as the song continued.

Beast Boy: If your heart is black you better watch out,
You cannot escape the team
When they catch you there won’t be any doubt
You’ve been beaten by the teens,
Beaten by those teens!

Girls: T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, TEEN TITANS, LET’S GO!
T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, TEEN TITANS, LET’S GO!
T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, TEEN TITANS, LET’S GO!
T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, TEEN TITANS, LET’S GO!
T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S, TEEN TITANS, LET’S GO!

All of the boys joined their voices together, the rich mixture of vocals harmonising perfectly with the music.

Boys: When there’s trouble you know who to call…
Girls: Teen Titans!
Boys: From their tower they can see it all…
Girls: Teen Titans!
Boys: When there’s evil on the attack,
You can rest knowing they got your back
And when the world needs heroes on patrol…
Girls: Teen Titans, go!
Teen Titans, go!

All five raised their voices as the song reached its climax.

All: 1-2-3-4 go! Teen Titans!

The music stopped abruptly, leaving the room as quickly as it had come. They were all flushed, breathing heavily as the song ended.

“Ok, what the heck was that all about? I feel like I’m in a Broadway show!” Beast Boy said, collapsing on a sofa.

“Yeah, I know. Did we really just…sing our own theme song?” Cyborg asked.

“I’m pretty sure we did,” Robin replied. “I never knew we had a song…”

“I don’t sing. I never sing,” Raven mumbled, pulling her cloak over her head.

Starfire seemed to be the only one who was unconcerned about what had happened. “That was glorious!” she said with glee, jumping up and down and clapping her hands.
“May we sing another song?”

“No!” the other Titans yelled at her.

Starfire stopped jumping up and down, and looked at the ground. “I am sorry, I just thought that was fun…” she mumbled.

“So why did we just start singing like that? And where’d that music come from?” Beast Boy asked from his position on the sofa.

“Maybe Larry changed reality again?” Starfire suggested.

“Ah, that’s probably it. Well, let’s call the little guy and ask him to fix it,” Cyborg said.

“Not a good idea,” Raven thought aloud.

“Why not?”

“Remember the problems last time?”

“Oh yeah…”

Raven continued. “Besides, he said it would wear off.”

“True,” Robin mused, “but just how long will we be singing before it ends?”

On cue, soft music filtered into the room once more.

“Oh no…”

Here's chapter 2. 'Nuff said.
N.B. the featured song is to the tune of "Hit That" by the Offspring.

--------------------------------------
Chapter 2: Can you do the Robot?
Jump City was in chaos. Never before had something so catastrophic befallen the citizens of the city. They cowered in their homes, afraid of what they might see, afraid of what they might here. But no matter where they went, they could not escape the horror that had entered their lives. Far worse than any of the super villains that had threatened their lives on a regular basis, more terrifying than a lonely Saturday night in front of the TV watching the twenty-seventh rerun of X-files. This was pure fear compressed into a seemingly harmless form, which would spring forth suddenly and cause pain wherever it was found.

The city was singing. And, though some few people thought it was not overall a bad thing, many others thought it was, for it was those few who thought it was good that amplified the carnage. Not everyone can sing.

The Titans sat in their tower. Robin paced the room as the other titans followed him with their eyes. He had his hand to his chin and frowned, deep in thought.

Beast Boy leaned towards Starfire. “Any minute now,” he whispered, “he’ll come up with a plan.”

Robin shot Beast Boy a withering glance. Beast Boy gulped and cowered behind an available cushion.

Robin sighed finally. “The way I see it, there are two things that we can know for certain. One: Larry has accidentally changed reality. Two: We are going to be singing until this change wears off, but I have no idea how long that will be.”

“Maybe it won’t be so long?” Cyborg suggested. “After all, Beast Boy went back to speaking normally after only an hour. At least, as normal as he usually speaks.”

“Yeah, I – Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Stop it, you two! I’m trying to figure things out here!” Robin scolded.

Cyborg and Beast Boy both cringed. “Sorry, sir!” they snapped back.

“Perhaps this karaoke spell will not be so bad?” Starfire suggested tentatively. “There is no harm in singing. On my world we often sing Tamaranian folk songs, and many of our people are very happy. Perhaps this will be the situation here too?”

“Umm…no,” Raven replied. “I don’t like singing.

“Oh come on, Raven! You have a beautiful voice!” Beast Boy said.

“Shut up.”

“Don’t pretend you hate to sing, I saw how much you got into singing our theme song. You were lost in the music!”

“Shut up.”

Robin held his hand up for silence. “I doubt this would be like Tamaran, Star. For starters, folk singing kinda died out on Earth a fair number of years ago.”

“Let’s just hope this altered reality doesn’t know any Tamaranian tunes,” mumbled Cyborg.

“As I was saying,” Robin cut in, “this is different. We simply aren’t used to spontaneously bursting into song. It’s a shock to so many of us, the reaction could be terrible.”

“Except for the guys that hang out in karaoke bars,” Beast Boy pointed out.

“Fine, yes, except for them,” Robin sighed, admitting defeat.

The soft music that had slowly built around them was getting louder. Beast Boy looked down, and then snapped his head up sharply.

“We’ve got a problem!”

“What?” Raven asked sharply.

“Cy’s tapping his foot!”

The Titans all turned to see that Cyborg had, indeed, started tapping his foot to the beat.

“Quick, run before the chorus kicks in!” Beast Boy yelled, diving over the sofa and sprinting out the door, with three other teen blurs speeding behind him.

Cyborg was too slow, his tapping foot creating a hindrance he hadn’t expect. He was caught by the full blast of the music. A drum was thumped, a cymbal crashed, and he was lost to the rhythm of the music.

The winds of fortune don’t blow the same
I had to get out, and make a change
I was a robot, but way to young
I wanna party, and have some fun

I tell ya, I’m on the run
Fighting just for fun
You know those bad guys
Ain’t number one

I tell ya, I’m on the run
Fighting just for fun
I know I’m gonna hit that
I know I’m gonna hit that, hit that

All the time I’m going on my way
Crooks and villains are all in my way
That’s the way,
That’s the way life goes, oh oh oh!

When words do fail me,
I just go on
There is no problem
Sonic cannon
Well I can fix it
With politics
And if I cannot I know that I am always right

I tell ya, I’m on the run
I’m fighting just for fun
You know those bad guys,
Just ain’t number one

I tell ya, I’m on the run
I’m fighting just for fun
I know I’m gonna hit that,
I know I’m gonna hit that, hit that

All the time I’m going on my way
Crooks and villains are all in my way
That’s the way,
That’s the way life goes, oh oh oh!

When I wind up
Powered down, circuits crashed and burned
Well, why not
Take a wrench; you know you won’t be spurned
And just don’t stop
Fixing me, I know it might sound strange
Well, the more you’re tryin’
The more rewiring

I tell ya, I’m on the run
I’m fighting just for fun
You know those bad guys,
Ain’t number one

I tell ya, I’m on the run
I’m fighting just for fun
I know I’m gonna hit that,
I know I’m gonna hit that, hit that

All the time I’m going on my way
Crooks and villains are all in my way
That’s the way,
That’s the way life goes, oh oh oh!

The cymbals crashed twice, and the music ended abruptly. Cyborg sighed with relief as he slumped into the chair behind him. It was over. He had sung, and now it was over. Thank goodness no one heard it…

“Woo, yeah! Go Cy!”

Cyborg groaned as the other four Titan’s walked back into the room.

“Please don’t tell me…”

“Yeah, dude, we heard you! That was awesome!”

“That was kind of catchy,” Robin admitted.

“Truly, that was wonderful! Please, Cyborg, won’t you sing for us again?” Starfire said gleefully.

“No way am I singing for you guys again,” Cyborg muttered, shaking his head. “Whoever it is who sings next, know this: I will record you and play your song out over the whole of Jump City!” He cackled evilly as Beast Boy and Robin shrunk back. Starfire laughed with joy, enjoying the thought. Raven shot a terrifying glare at Cyborg.

“Record me and die,” she growled.

I thought that word didn't look right when I wrote it! Thanks for pointing it out. I do apologise for that particular mistake, usually I am fairly good with spelling (altho sometimes my speed-typing canlead to letter swaps!). I shall ammend it immediatley!

P.S. I hope that in your efforts to find the songs that will allow you to sing along with the Titans you do not get into legal trouble. The purpose of this story is not to promote the illegal download of music through the internet. However, should you choose to download good music for free just for a particular song rather than paying the full price for a cd that you may not want anyway and end up wasting your money, then it is your own choice.

Chapter 3: Homesick

Starfire sat in her room, gazing out of her window. She loved her view across the waters, with the city glittering on the far shoreline. She sighed as the setting sun cast an orange glow over the sprawling metropolis. The view was beautiful. A pang of guilt arced through her mind as she remembered her own home. Tamaran. Her home planet had also been beautiful. She felt hot tears sting her eyes as she remembered.

Soft music seeped into her room. It was gentle, a slow sound that both soothed and excited. Starfire wiped her eyes, brushing away the wetness that threatened to spill onto her cheeks. She quietly sang along to the subtle music, her wonderful voice drifting out into the corridor.

Looking out a dirty old window
Down below the waves on the shoreline go crashing by
I sit here alone and I wonder why

Friday night and everyone’s grooving
I can’t feel the heat, I feel cooling
Stagger on
I search for a home that I never found

We young ones are growing
We young ones aren’t slowing

I’m a lonely Tamaranian
I’m a lonely Tamaranian
Nobody I know is from planet Tamaran

Bright lights, the music gets louder
I’d join the others and party with a chance
I’m not joining them now, lately
Resistance

I feel I don’t quite fit in
Earth ways are something so new to me, every time
I go out to blend in, just never quite…

Pure hearts, why should I bother?
Pure hearts, does it really matter?

I’m a lonely Tamaranian
I’m a lonely Tamaranian
Nobody I know is from planet Tamaran

Friends with me, I feel much better
Every day, a brand new experience
Feeling right
I don’t want to stop, ever
Stay tonight

Outside a new day is dawning
Outside the city is sprawling everywhere
I don’t want to leave you all
Jump city to Titan’s Tower
This is where my new home is, oh yeah

Not a lonely Tamaranian
Not a lonely Tamaranian,
My new family is right here on Earth

Not alone
Not alone
Not a lonely Tamaranian

The gentle music faded from hearing. Starfire breathed deeply, the song leaving her being.
“Star?”

She jumped at the unexpected voice. She turned to see Robin standing in the doorway.

“Robin! How long have you been there?”

“Not long. I could hear you singing from my room,” he replied.

“Oh, I am sorry if I disturbed you,” Starfire said.

“You didn’t disturb me, Star. You have a lovely singing voice.”

Starfire blushed slightly. “Thank you.”

Robin had heard her singing. He really did think her voice was beautiful. Her singing had stirred things within him he had never felt. Her voice had carried joy and sadness, laughter and tears to him. He had been so moved by her song.

“You ok?” he asked. “I didn’t realise you felt so out of place.”

Starfire turned away, returning to her view of the gentle movement of the water.

“I am fine,” she said, barely hiding the crack in her voice.

“Would you like to join us in watching a movie? It’s a horror, Beast Boy picked it out, although the singing attendant made things difficult for him.”

Starfire smiled, still looking from her window. “Thank you, Robin. Perhaps I will join you later.”

“Ok, whenever you want to just come down. We’ll be there.” He turned to leave. Before he walked from her door, he added, “We’ll always be there, Star.” He walked away, the door sliding shut behind him.

Starfire sat in her room, gazing out of her window. She loved her view across the waters, with the city glittering on the far shoreline. The view was beautiful.

This was her home.

Its great!!! !_! its stuck in my head now
Im a lonely Tamaranian!!
Lol, excellent! My plan is working! Get all my readers to sing the Titan's versions of the songs! Bwhahahahaaaaa!

*ahem* glad you like it. Maybe if the creators of the show read this, they may get the Titan's voice actor's to record these songs and make it into an episode? Maybe even release the album? Come on, how cool would that be? "Titans: The musical, the album. Available in store now!"

Anyways, more to come! *scurrys off to find more songs and write more lyrics*

Chapter 4: Leads and Chords (geddit? geddit?)

Robin tapped away at his computer. He scanned the screens before him, reading headlines and studying witness reports. He sighed, leaning back in his chair. It creaked as he shifted his weight. He pinched his nose and closed his eyes, trying to think clearly.

It had been a while since Slade had surfaced. Robin wondered where he was hiding. What could he be planning? He sighed again, the harsh realisation that Terra was now with him cutting him deeply. They had trusted the girl, thought of her as a friend, and she had betrayed them.

“Dude! ‘S’up?”

Robin yelped, startled as Beast Boy suddenly appeared on his desk. He tried to jump backwards, however, still being seated in his chair, he only succeeded in falling over. He groaned from under his seat, the curved backrest solidly placed against his hip and a plastic arm digging into his back.

“What do you want?” he mumbled, trying to get up as rotating chair base span around, landing solid kicks to his shin.

“Just thought I’d check up on our glorious leader,” Beast Boy replied, perching himself comfortably on the edge of the wooden desk. “What you working on?”

Robin finally resorted to using a bird-a-rang to slice through the back of his chair. He stood, and walked over to his computer screen.

“Slade leads. Need you ask?”

Beast Boy craned his neck, glancing at the screen behind him. “Typical you, you have a sort of sixth sense for crime, don’t you? Looks like you got plenty of stuff there. Anything useful?”

“Not really,” Robin admitted grudgingly. “This is all stuff I already know. The only new factor is Terr-”

Beast Boy stiffened, squeezing his eyes shut.

“Oh, hey, sorry,” Robin said. “I didn’t mean…”

“No, it’s ok,” Beast Boy replied, a strained note creeping into his voice. “I gotta get over it sometime, right?” His voice cracked at the last part.

Robin placed a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “You alright?”

Beast Boy shrugged away the gloved hand. He jumped off the desk, and walked out of Robin’s room, shoulders slumped low. Robin sighed and shook his head. Terra’s betrayal had hit Beast Boy the hardest. He looked back to his computer, noticing a news update flashing on the screen. He pulled up the file, reading the words that appeared before him.

A slow bass line crept into his hearing, but he ignored it. It was joined by a low drumbeat, and finally a faster paced guitar. The music’s tempo increased, the sound filling the room. Robin kept reading the news story, humming along with the tune, before finally succumbing to the spell.

I walked this street, looking for new tips
Dusted for prints, questioned the public
Witness accounts and traces of you don’t lie.
And I’ve been preoccupied with these six strong senses
That sense your presence on all the defenceless
Maybe someday, I’ll catch you and put you right where you belong.

And now I’m back, searching for you again
Nothing else left unquestioned for certain
There’s nothing to find, nowhere to think
‘Cept the old basement, or the brand new ice rink
And there’s no ring, ring on my communicator
No taunting from you, no clues to explore
Make myself stupid and fry my brain so angrily

In the wrong place at the wrong time,
I’ll search for you, but you are just fine
I won’t tell the cops, just give me the props
So I’ll catch you one day

And in the wrong place at the wrong time
It’d be worth it if you do time
You won’t have to wait; I’ll be there straight
To put you there myself
Into prison

Swing from rooftops, looking for trouble
Saving people, homes turned to rubble
Witness accounts and traces of you don’t lie
And I’ve been preoccupied with these six strong senses
That sense your presence on all the defenceless
Maybe someday, I’ll catch you and put you right where you belong.

Into prison
In the prison

The music stopped abruptly. Robin sighed as he finished reading the file. It had been an old news story, amended only for spelling changes and a note from the editor apologising for wrong credits. It turned out the news story had been written by a Mr P. Cooker.

Robin walked out of his room, his door sliding shut behind him. He walked along the dark corridor, wondering where Slade could possibly have gone. It was obvious he had gone to ground, taking Terra with him. He wasn’t hiding, Robin knew this.

He was waiting.

What song did you think he was going to sing, it might be one of the ones i'm saving for later.

Oh, so you think who the next person to sing will be, huh? Do ya? Well, maybe I have some surprises for you! Who says that I'll let all of the Titans sing their songs before someone else sings theirs, hmmm? Or perhaps one of the Titans who has already sang will sing again? Hmmm?

You have been warned.

Here's chapter 5. I hope that you enjoy it.

N.B. Today's fetured song is "Hurt," I used the Johnny Cash version, but the Nine Inch Nails one should work with it too (dedicated to Mr P.Cooker!)

------------------------------------
Chapter 5: Three Down...

Steam built up in the small glass cubicle. It rose from the drenched floor, curling upwards in spirals of moisture, before condensing and settling on the glass panes, creating a misty layer of cool dampness. A hand pushed against the glass, pushing one of the panels open. A small print was left in the clinging water, fingers splayed out in the water.

A figure stepped from the shower. Grabbing a towel, the figure dried long, dark hair. Reaching for another, larger towel, she wrapped it around her body, before opening the door and stepping out into her dark room.

The curtains were shut against the window. Small shafts of light crept through the gaps where the two pieces of material met, creating a thin line of yellow across the floor. She looked at a small, leather-bound book on the desk next to her bed. She sat on the mattress; a small protestant creak challenging her weight was placed on the springs. She leafed through the pages of the book, before sighing and placing it back on the table.

She rubbed her eyes with her palms, trying to wake up properly. The shower had helped her relax, but now she wanted to be awake. It was early in the morning; none of the other Titans were likely to be up this early. She stood again, pacing towards a dark wardrobe in the far corner of the dark room. She opened it, looking for something to wear. A quiet, soft acoustic guitar seeped into her room. The very atmosphere became entangled with the soft, gentle music. She noted it had a depressing edge to it.

Still in her towel, Raven sighed. She had hoped this would all be over before it came to her turn to sing. She had never really sung before. The reason she always gave the others was that she disliked it and felt it was pointless, but she would never tell them that she was afraid she wouldn’t be able to sing and embarrass herself completely on the rare karaoke night they held in the tower.

“Come on, Rae!” Beast Boy would say, “Give us a song! How about Barry White?”

Raven supposed this wouldn’t be too bad. At least no one was awake to hear her. She opened her mouth and her beautiful voice sang out, resonating through her room. The sound was sweet, but there was a hint of deep sorrow to her voice, making it all the more wonderful.

I meditate today
To hide the things I feel
Try to lock them all away
The only thing that’s real

Emotion tears a hole
That old familiar pain
Try to hide it all away
But I still feel everything

What have I become?
My closest friends
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

And they will bear it all
My fear of being hurt
I won’t let them down
It’s something I have learnt

I wear this cowl of blue
Upon my darker hair
Full of darkest thoughts
I cannot despair

Beneath my stern white mask
The feelings build up here
If I were someone else
I wouldn’t live in fear

What have I become?
My closest friends
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

And they will bear it all
My fear of being hurt
I won’t let them down
It’s something I have learnt

If I could change the truth
I would let myself feel
Emotions for myself
Dreams aren’t reality

There was a final strum from the soft guitar, before the music left completely. Raven sighed. The singing had unlocked a small part of her emotions. She had felt it throughout the song, and was afraid that at any moment something might explode, but it seemed the singing in itself had taken the power of her emotions and amplified the beautiful song.

Her door slid open.

“Hey Rae, what do you want for break - whoah!” Cyborg had burst into Raven’s room. His human eye widened.

“Cyborg!” Raven shrieked, clutching her towel.

“Sorry, didn’t see nuthin’, honest!” he said quickly.

“Get out! Get out! Get out!” Raven screamed at him, thrusting a single hand forwards.

Cyborg shot backwards and out into the corridor, before the door slammed shut. He whistled. “Damn, I never thought she’d look so fine in a towel!”

A few seconds later the door opened again. Raven stepped out in her usual attire, her hood pulled well up over her head. Her face was hidden in shadow.

“I’m sorry, Raven,” Cyborg said. “I didn’t realise you were…well…I heard you singing and…”

“Whatever. Just knock next time.” Raven walked down the corridor, towards the living room of the tower.

Cyborg grinned, and held his right arm up to his face. A small panel flipped open, and he pressed a small button. The display changed to a small list. Two tick marks had been made next to two different names. He pressed another button, and another tick was added against a different name.

“Three down, one to go,” he mumbled, then added, "plus one video recording!" before bursting into mad laughter.

“Cyborg, I can hear you,” Raven called back down the corridor. “What are you laughing at?”

“Uh, um, uh…nothing!” he called back, sniggering quietly to himself. His robotic eye glowed menacingly in the dark corridor.

OK, so here is chapter 6 of Titans: The Musical. This one is more about the emotion and story, rather than the song itsekf, however it does still contain a singing part.

Today's featured song is "Escape" by hoobastank. I haven't made any major changes to the lyrics, as they seem to fit quite well anyway.

-----------------------------------------
Chapter 6: A visit

Beast Boy walked slowly along the corridor, his thoughts clouded and shadowed. His mood matched the deep darkness of the stairwells, his emotions embroiled in confusion and sorrow. He felt a deep aching in his heart, a longing emptiness. He sniffed once, and wiped a gentle dampness from the corner of his eye. He turned a corner in the corridor, looking up at the window at the far end of the hallway. He noted where he was.

He had walked to the once place he hadn’t wanted to go. He hadn’t paid attention to where he was going, and was now here. He sighed, a deep, shuddering breath drawn into the depths of his lungs. He swallowed past the lump in his throat as his tentative footsteps lead him there. Beast Boy turned, facing the door set into the sold wall. He placed a gloved palm against the doorframe, running his hand up and down the cool surface. The door opened, and he stepped through into the barren, dark space.

Terra’s room. This is….was Terra’s room. She betrayed you, betrayed everyone. You thought she like you? How? Why? What could have misled you to such a false conclusion?

No, but that isn’t true. Remember the time you spent together. You enjoyed each other’s company; remember the pure happiness on her face when she was with you?

You’re just lying to yourself again.

No, remember. Remember!

It’s all lies!

Remember! Remember her eyes before Slade took her! Remember the pain in her eyes!

It’s all a lie!

Beast Boy sank to his knees, clutching the sides of his head. His mouth hung open in a silent scream of torment as his mind pushed backwards and forwards, tearing apart his conscious. He gave up, the internal argument continuing as he tried to calm himself. Tears welled up in his eyes.

Don’t shed tears for her, she doesn’t deserve them!

Yes, she does! She is a victim of Slade’s manipulation! She didn’t want this any more than you did.

Yes she did, she betrayed you!

No!

Yes!

“No!” Beast Boy screamed, scrambling over to the empty bed by the wall. He searched frantically, tearing away the bed covers. “It has to be here!” he said frantically.

Why are we looking? It’s not here. It can’t be, she didn’t care, she left, she…

Beast Boy stopped his search. With shaking hands, he reached forwards, not daring to believe his eyes. He grabbed the small object, and held it gently in his trembling fingers. The pink, heart shaped box looked exactly as it had the day he made it, the day he gave it to her.

“She did care,” he muttered, further tears falling from his eyes. “If she didn’t she would have thrown it away…”

He held it tightly to his chest, as a soft drumbeat crept into the room. Its tempo increased until it set a fast pace. Beast Boy noticed a small, white fold sticking out of the lid of the box. He opened it carefully, a quiet creak from the hinges barely audible. He gasped at what he saw.

A small piece of paper. In dark writing were two words: ‘I’m sorry.”

The music crashed in as Beast Boy jumped off the bed, leaving the box on the pillow. Tears flowed openly down his face as the words came unbidden from his mouth.

Another day goes with far too much change,
The feeling I live with still remains
We’re stuck in a hole and we’re searching for anything to hold onto,
There has to be somewhere that we can be safe from the lives we lead each day,
There has to be somewhere that we can be far away.

We have to escape, and I will go anywhere if you just lead the way
Escape to a place where we’ll be together, together everyday,
We have to escape

We could be living how we wanted to
Instead of doing things we’re forced to do
With no on to tell us that we should be doing what they want us to
There has to be someplace that nobody knows, somewhere we can only go,
There has to be someplace that we can be alone.

We have to escape, and I will go anywhere if you just lead the way
Escape to a place where we’ll be together, together everyday,
We have to escape

We have to escape!
We have to escape!

We have to escape, and I will go anywhere if you just lead the way
Escape to a place where we’ll be together, together everyday,
We have to escape

We have to escape…

The song ended. Beast Boy slumped forwards, sobs ripping from his chest as emotions flooded through him. A dark shape fluttered past the window. Beast Boy looked up sharply. He could see a tall, thin silhouette in the room, but it was too dark to see who it was.

“Terra?” he asked his voice cracking.

“Such a wonderful song,” Slade said, stepping from the shadows. “You should consider a career in the world of music.”

Beast Boy gasped in horror, scrabbling backwards towards the door.

“Slade!”

“My, how perceptive,” he snidely replied. He stepped closer to Beast Boy. “I am here to give you a warning, changeling. Stay away from my new apprentice. She has much training to do, and I wouldn’t want any unnecessary distraction getting in her way. She will be deal with you in due time.”

Beast Boy changed into a tiger, and abruptly leapt at Slade, slashing a claw at his chest. Slade easily stepped backwards. He planted a solid kick to Beats Boy’s chest, sending the large feline crashing into the bed. The springs in the mattress twisted and bent as the wooden frame shattered. Beast Boy morphed into human form as he heard something smash behind him. He turned to see shards of pink coloured wood splinter into the air. He cried out in horror as his labour of love was destroyed, shattering into a thousand pieces. He turned towards Slade, pure rage in his eyes.

“My, such a shame. That was quite the piece of craftsmanship. I doubt there are many toddlers that could outdo that little item you made.”

“Shut up!” Beast Boy screamed, leaping at Slade.

Slade ducked down, ready to catch Beast Boy in the gut. But Beast Boy surprised him, changing into a raptor mid flight. Sharp claws extended, he dug them deep into Slade’s shoulder. Slade roared in pain, and wrenched himself around. Grabbing Beast Boy’s tail, he swung him around violently, hurling him towards the window. Beast Boy changed into an octopus just as he collided with the glass. The window shattered, sending sharp shards falling to the ground below. Beast Boy’s tentacles were holding onto the window ledge. He changed back to human form. Cuts covered his face from the shattered glass, and his hands were sliced and bleeding as he tried vainly to hold onto the glass-covered ledge.

Slade stepped towards him. “Not the best idea you have ever had, I think. But then, you’ve never had an idea, have you?” He slowly reached forwards.

A blast of blinding blue light slammed into him from behind. Slade grunted in surprise as he soared out of the window. He yelled as he fell.

“Booya!” Cyborg shouted triumphantly from the doorway as his sonic cannon retracted into his arm. He ran across the room, barely reaching Beast Boy before his grip failed. “Hey, I gotcha,” Cyborg said as he pulled Beast Boy back through the window. Beast Boy, leaning on Cyborg, walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Sorry, i did mean season finale, i'm just used to calling them "series." I'm not sure, but i think "season" is more an american term, or at least i've never heard it on british tv. it's always "a brand new series of teen titans" rather than season.

It's great to see you back, Lord Welshi. This story is definetly staying fresh and exciting. Hope you get enough time to write, what with Ancient Greek and all. I've really enjoyed this story - a sometimes light spot in a mostly dark period of the Titans' history. You seem to be falling back into the dark, though I don't really mind. It's not really dark, just misunderstood.

OK, i know it's a bit late (major apologies), but here is the new chapter to Titans: The Musical. I hope you enjoy it.

NB: today's song is "Phantom of the opera." I suggest the Nightwish cover, but the original works too.

----------------------
Chapter 7: The Phantom of Titans Tower

Terra ran, her feet pounding against the ground as she sought to escape. She didn’t have a plan; she didn’t have a true course of action. She had only one destination in mind: Titan’s tower.

She ran, her long blond hair flying behind her, streaking through the dank air like a fleeting explosion of light. Her breathing came in short, ragged gasps as fatigue began to set in.

“No,” she said to herself, “I have to get to the tower.”

She forced herself to keep running, placing one foot before the other in a repeated cycle.

“I have to get to the Titans. I have to reach Beast Boy.”

A shadow darted across ahead of her. Terra cried out and stopped, stumbling and falling into the rancid water. She looked up, cold fluid dripping from her face. Her eyes searched the dim tunnel, but found nothing.

“What are you doing?” a harsh voice demanded.

Terra jumped to her feet, turning sharply, but could still find no trace of the voice.

“Answer me! What are you doing?” the voice came again, colder, sharper.

“Leave me alone!” Terra yelled, turning to run again. A hand clamped around her wrist and forcefully pulled backwards. Terra cried out as her arm was bent behind her and forced against her back.

“You ran off, didn’t you?” The voice was right next to her, but Terra still couldn’t see the voice’s owner.

“Let me go!” Terra cried, her eyes glowing yellow. The tunnel shook violently, dust falling from the ceiling. Her attacker kept his grip on her arm, and twisted forcefully. There was a quit crunch. Terra screamed.

Beast Boy was walking towards the main door to the tower with the other Titans when he felt it. He stumbled as the floor rumbled and vibrated. He collapsed to the ground and watched as a seat moved across the floor.

“W…w…what’s going on?” Cyborg asked shakily.

Abruptly, the earthquake ceased. Beast Boy stood, dusting himself off and winced as he felt one of the cuts on the back of his hand throb sharply.

“Odd, we’re not on a fault line…” Robin mused.

Starfire looked at him. “Then it must be…”

“Terra,” Raven said coldly.

Beast Boy looked at them, before a quiet scream reached his ears. He and Robin both turned towards the door that lead to the basement.

“She must be in the sewers beneath the tower! Titans, go!” Robin shouted.

“Come now, apprentice, you must expect punishment for disobedience.”

Terra sobbed quietly on the cold stone floor, nursing her arm.

“I instructed you not to venture here,” Slade said coldly, towering over her. “You have disappointed me greatly, Terra. You were showing great promise. Why would you return here?”

Terra mumbled something between her sobs.

“Apprentice!” Slade shouted. “Answer me!”

“To see my friends!” Terra screamed back at him.

Slade chuckled coldly. “Your friends? My dear girl, you have no friends. Not after betraying them the way you did. You delivered them straight into my waiting hands. Do you really believe they are still your friends after what you did?”

Terra sobbed. “No, Beast Boy…”

“Beast Boy left you to me, remember that. He rejected you, just as the others did. Starfire, Raven, Cyborg, Robin, they all turned their backs on you, treated you with disdain. Only I have been here for you, apprentice.” Slade held his hand out to Terra. “I can help you get revenge.”

“Yeah, you did such a great job getting rid of them last time!” Terra suddenly yelled at him, thrusting herself upright. “I gave you their security codes; I even took one of them out of the tower! There were four of them, and you failed to even…”

“Silence!” Slade roared, backhanding her across the face. Terra slammed into a wall. She sank to the ground, sobbing again. “Careful with your words, apprentice,” Slade snarled at her. He turned as he heard footsteps echo down the passageway. He looked back to Terra. “If you wish, follow me. If not, you can stay here and face your…friends. Your choice.” As Slade began to walk away, Terra could here quiet voices. They sounded angry. She got up, and followed after Slade.

A haunting melody coursed into the sewer. The sound of an old organ being played by expert hands sank into Terra’s skull. She breathed deeply as the music flooded her veins, and began to sing.

Terra: In sleep he spoke to me,

In dreams he came

That man who calls to me

And says my name

And dare I dream again?

Fear what I find

Deathstroke the Terminator is so near

Inside my mind.

Slade: Come once again with me

My strong young friend

My power over you

You can’t defend

And though you turn from me

To friends behind

Deathstroke the Terminator will be there

Inside your mind.

Terra: No one has seen your face

No one could dare

It is your mask I wear

Slade: It’s me they fear

Both: My spirit and your strength

In one combined

Deathstroke the Terminator is so near

Inside my mind.

Slade: When all your friends are gone

I’ll have control

No one to stop me now

Terra: I must be strong

Both: And in this labyrinth

Where you reside

Deathstroke the Terminator is there

Inside my mind!

Slade turned to his apprentice, the music still playing. “Come, apprentice!” he shouted, running down the passageway. Tears flowed down Terra’s face as she obeyed, sending a silent farewell to the Titans.

Her enemies.

Hmm, pleasantly pessimistic...

It's cool how Terra starts off wanting redemption, and then knowingly turns her back on it with barely a moment's thought. Is that supposed to show her evilness, Slade's power, a combination of both or something entirely different? Could someone please enlighten me? I don't have a clue here!

Keep it up, boyo!

This story keeps getting better and better. I wonder - how far into the season or series have you seen? I'm one week behind the premieres here, so I just saw Revolution, which is in season 3.

Unrelated to that, this chapter came out quite nicely. It's hard to capture the emotion you want when I'm laughing because of the excellent parody (I hate the original song, but I found a techno remix that does nicely). It's just so perfect, and I'm not laughing anymore, because you actually got the feeling through. So I congradulate you.

Deathstr-ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-k the Terminator is there.
Priceless.
Sorry about your computer problems. I just fixed my own issues in that area, so I know what it's like to be out of the loop. When you get back with more chapters, I'll be here to read them.

He looked up from his desk, grunting as he noticed the words that filled the screen. "Write more or die!" from one, "Please keep writing or i shall commit suicide," from another. He sighed, putting down his pen and cracking his knuckles. Opening the document on his machine, he glanced over it and grunted disdainfully. By no means his best work, but what with his university work and threats of death, he had no choice. Lord Welshi gulped, and clicked "submit."

Today's featured song is "The Reason" by Hoobastank.

----------------------------
Chapter 8: Raging Reasons

Robin slammed his fist into the desk. His nostrils flared as he breathed rapidly, his anger coursing through him. He raged at the other Titans, shouting and fuming. His frustration and rage took over, becoming the masked hero.

“I can’t believe we lost him!” he shouted.

“Robin, chill,” Cyborg said, “we’ll catch him next time…”

“Next time isn’t good enough!” Robin roared, steeping up to the mechanical teen. “What if Slade has a plan that could destroy the entire city, and we’ve just let him escape?”

“Dude, Slade always has a plan to destroy the city,” Beast Boy quipped.

“All the more reason we should have caught him!” Robin raged, turning towards the changeling. “We’ve got to stop him before he succeeds with his plan.”

“I don’t think he had a plan,” Raven said, her face hidden in the shadows of her cloak.

“What do you mean?” Robin asked, restraining himself as Beast Boy quietly hid behind Cyborg, who had hidden behind the TV. “He was beneath the tower!”

“I think he was there to find Terra, just as we were.”

“It does make sense,” Cyborg suggested from behind the TV. “He wouldn’t want her trying to come for us too soon.”

Robin grunted and, whirling on his heels, stormed out of the living room.

“What’s up with him?” Cyborg mused out loud.

“Perhaps he is frustrated at not catching Slade?” Starfire suggested.

“I think there’s more to it then that,” Raven said. She looked at a small shape leave through the door that Robin had left through moments before. “Where’s Beast Boy going?”

Beast Boy, in the form of a rabbit, hopped off towards his room, trying to hide the tears in his eyes as he went.

“Well, since those two have gone off, I suppose we should try to get some shut eye,” Cyborg said, heading for the door. “Night ya’ll.”

Raven, hiding a small yawn, followed the hulking teen from the room. Starfire stood for a moment, watching her friends depart. Terra’s betrayal still stung her, and her team mates, to the core. The thought that one of their friends could work for Slade, and so easily discard them was not one that sat well with her. She sighed as she walked out the room, turning left to walk down the dark corridor.

She paused as she heard a loud thud. She looked down the corridor as she heard the sound again. She continued walking, then realised the sound was coming from the dreaded room. The one she hated above all others. The one aspect of her friend that she could not bear. The evidence room: the Slade room.

She opened the door, and was met by the sight of Robin pummelling the wall. “Robin, stop!” she cried, floated over to him and grabbing his arm.

“Let go, Star!” he shouted, trying to shrug her off.

“What is wrong with you?” she asked, holding his arm back.

“Slade got away again!” Robin suddenly turned to Starfire, anger burning deep in his eyes. “We let him escape, and we could have caught him, could have stopped him once and for all!”

Starfire was taken aback by Robin’s intensity. “Robin, we can catch him in the future. He will not escape us forever.”

“But what if he does, Star?” Robin asked her. “Every time we’ve had him in our grasp, he’s eluded us!” Robin wrenched his arm out of her grip, and slammed it onto his desk. “Each and every time!” he roared.

Starfire took a step backwards. “Robin, please, stop this! Why are you being so…evil?”

Robin shot her a sharp look. “Evil? I’m not evil! Slade’s the one that is evil! He’s the one that…”

“You are the one that is shouting at me,” Starfire said. Robin faltered, and saw the hurt in the Tamaranian’s eyes. He sagged, his shoulder hunched.

“I’m sorry, Star,” he said, his voice quiet. “It’s just…I have been Slade’s apprentice. I know how well he can manipulate someone. I just can’t bear the thought that I could have helped Terra out of it…”

“There is nothing you could have done,” Starfire said. “Slade is far more cunning than we had first imagined. Terra was a traitor before she joined us.”

“Then why didn’t I notice?” Robin asked. “I should have known. I was the one that offered her a place on the team, I…”

“Stop this!” Starfire screamed at him. “We all trusted her; we all decided she could become a Titan! We were all her friends! Stop blaming yourself when it was all our responsibility!” Starfire sobbed, and fled the room, the door shutting behind her.

Robin sighed, shaking his head sadly. He slumped back into the waiting chair, his shoulder sagging. A quiet, soft music entered the room. Robin didn’t even try to resist as the memories of his past actions flooded his mind. Becoming Red X, working for Slade, his obsession with stopping him; it all added to his song.

I’m not a perfect person
There are many things I wish I didn’t do
But I continue learning
I never meant to say those things to you
And so I have to say something I know
And I just want you to know

I’ve found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you

I’m sorry that I hurt you
It’s something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
That’s why I need you to hear

I found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you

I’m not a perfect person
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know

I’ve found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
And the reason is you
I’ve found a reason to show
A side of me you didn’t know
A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you

Robin finished his song, drawing out the last syllable as the music faded. He placed his face in his hands, and closed his eyes tightly.

Out in the corridor, Starfire stepped back from the door, a hand placed to her mouth. When she had left the evidence room, she had stalked down the corridor. That was when the music reached her ears. Curious, she had returned to the door and listened to Robin’s song. Starfire smiled sadly, and placed her hand against the cool steel of the door.

“I forgive you,” she whispered.

first to post!
as usual
FINALLY! It feels like I've been waiting forever for the next chapter!

Lord Welshi gulped, and clicked "submit."

that made me laugh alot. :D
this was a GREAT chapter! I really cant wait till you post again! well I guess i'll have to. *sigh*
well, hope we arent getting in the way of your school work, but please post soon!

Ok, so...the was Robin singing about starfire, right? Was he expressing his love for her, or just singing about how he was sorry for all the bad things he's done to her recently?

"By no means his best work," he says. Somehow, I think that Welshie is taking the piss...

Welshie, you know from experience that I don't give compliments very often, so when I say "nice one, mate", you should have some idea as to how deeply, deeply impressed I am with this chapter.

Keep up the good work, boyo!

Another chapter. That's really all I need to say, isn't it? I mean, have we found a bad L. Welshi chapter yet?

I'm guessing it must be pretty hard to write a story like this - you have to have a song in mind and be able to put in the lyrics you need to tell the story. Excellent job with all this, I'm amazed as always. Even more impressive is that you squeeze it in with university work. I can barely fit my story into my life, and I'm just a senior in high school. Constitutional Law is way harder than it at first seems.

Sorry for the aside. Anyway, keep up the good work. I've read several descriptions of Robin when he's in the evidence room and this definetelly ranks up in the top 3. I can't decide which is number one though...I guess I'll just have to wait till it all comes up to vote again. Oh, yeah. Congrats on Hall of Fame status for Vanishing Act.

You didn't like that chapter? Yeah, um...perfectionest?, maybe...um...my favorite chapter?...um...yes?...Lord Welshi is the greatest?...YES!!!!

That is exactly how I would think Robin would react, and exactly the way I think Starfire would have acted. Wonderful, splendid, stupendous!!!!!!!!

I didn't mind having to explain the lyrics, i was just hoping that it could be worked out with reference to what's happened in the series.

Anyway, a little more patience required, i'm really angry/stressed/over worked right now, but i will write a new chapter as soon as i can.

P.S. a couple of days ago, i saw something disturbing. Someone has, in their signature, "Welshi's girl", and it was also part of the little tag next to the avatar (e.g. mine is "I own all i see. except that") could anyone who can spare the time please help me find out who it was? i would like a little chat with them...as would my girlfriend!

Peace, ya'll

EEEEEEE!!! YOUR LORDSHIP, YOU SO TOTALLY ROCK!!!

Sorry, but I am sooooo happy that you used lyrics from Phantom of the Opera! I love that show, not to mention that song! It really fits how Terra feels in your story. That was a great part! Thank you sooooo much! You just gave me an idea for a song thread.

I don't think I can wait for another chapter, you won't like me when I'm impatient....

Sweat poured from his face as he worked, dripping onto his already damp arms. His t-shirt clung to his skin as he feverishly typed, the keys clacking to a set rythm. his own subconcious screamed at him, "work faster, work harder!" And so he tried, his fingers a shapeless blur on the keyboard. He typed faster and faster. Finally, he hit the one final button, and clicked save. Then, several things happened at once. He first noticed that his fingers had been worn down to little more than stubs. "Damn, painful," he thought. This was followed by his second thought, "How am I going to write the next chapter?" Finally, as he looked up at the screen for the first time in 2 hours, he had a third and slightly more terrifying thought. "Why is my computer switched off?"

Here's chapter 9. Featured song is "Getting away with murder" by papa roach. apologies for lack of original lyrics, but i am literally overtaxed at the moment, i did the best i could with the rest of it. Next chapter has also been typed (they were originally going to be the same chapter, but they worked better seperately) so that can be expected as soon as i have enough feedback.

------------------------------------------
Chapter 9: Getting away with it

Wheels turned. Somewhere in the darkness, in the labyrinthine tunnels that existed beneath Jump City, he watched. The tunnels served his purpose well: he had created his own base within the walls of the city itself. True, the walls were many feet below the surface, but they were still well within the city limits. From here, he could survey the city. The city that would soon be his.

“Apprentice!” he shouted, his voice barely echoing in the vast cavern such was the directed force of his call.

“Yes?” a cold voice replied. She stepped from the shadows, her grey body suit hugging her form tightly. Her blonde hair was clipped back, and one side of her face was hidden by the luxurious hair. Her appearance from the shadows was well executed: silent, quick, just as she had been trained. She had almost surprised him.

Almost.

“Who do you serve?” he asked harshly.

“Only you, master,” she replied, looking straight ahead.

“What is your mission?”

“To take over the city.”

“Will you obey my every command?”

“I will.”

“Will you do exactly as instructed, only when instructed?”

“I will.”

“And will you destroy the Teen Titans?”

Terra smiled. “I thought you’d never ask.”

“Then go, prepare. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for you.”

Terra turned and walked away. Her footsteps echoing in the large room. Slade watched her go. He listened as her footsteps faded into a slow drumbeat that rose in tempo and volume. He smiled beneath his mask. A little indulgence couldn’t hurt.

Somewhere beyond happiness and sadness
I need to calculate
What creates my own madness
And you’re a glutton for my punishment
And I’m the master
I’m creating more disasters

I’m feeling rational
But confrontational
To tell the truth I am getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To always tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder

I plan my plans when I only need to
I think these thoughts when
I don’t even need to
I never look back ‘cause I never need to
And I don’t need to
Because I’m getting away with murder

I’m feeling rational
But confrontational
To tell the truth I am getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To always tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder

Getting away, getting away, getting away, getting away
With murder

I’m feeling rational
But confrontational
To tell the truth I am getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To always tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder

Somewhere beyond happiness and sadness
I need to calculate
What creates my own madness
And now I am pulling all of the strings
‘Cause I’m the master
I’m creating more disasters

I’m feeling rational
But confrontational
To tell the truth I am getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To always tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder

Slade stopped singing and, looking up towards the street hidden by the ceiling above, he laughed.

Hmmm, the evil one speaks...

It's always cool when the bad guys come on to strut their stuff, and such a joyous revelling in his own badassness is always impressive.

The stuff between Slade and Terra was good too: it captured just the right tone of evil plotting that you'd have expected to see. Was it me, or was there a small referencing of Lord Of The Rings there (the "who do you serve?" line)?

Anyway, get on and post the next chapter, or else I may have to come down and open a can of whup-ass on you.

Chapter 10. Word on the street...

The Titans patrolled the city, looking for any signs of trouble. They had split into teams to cover more ground in the hope of catching their prey: Starfire and Robin had taken the centre of the city, Raven and Cyborg were covering the suburbs, whilst Beast Boy was soaring above, searching with his eagle eyes. Slade and Terra had not been seen for two days, which had Robin worried. What could Slade have been planning?

Starfire saw the ponderous expression on his face as she accompanied him down the high street. “Robin, what is troubling you?” she asked.

“Hmm? Oh, nothing really. You know, just usual musings on Slade.”

“I see.” They walked in silence for a moment, ignoring the awed looks from children as the walked down the bustling shopping street.

“Look daddy, it’s the Titans!” one boy cried, tugging at his mother’s skirt.

“I do think you’re right, son! They must be searching for some bad guys. Let’s leave them work, shall we?” The man picked up his son and, smiling at Robin and Starfire, walked across to a small restaurant.

Starfire jumped suddenly as a small form appeared in front of her. She looked down, to see a small girl with tears in her eyes.

“Where’s mommy?” she tearfully asked, before sobbing loudly.

Starfire gasped and bent down, picking up the young girl. She couldn’t have been more than 6 years old. How could someone misplace their child so easily? She looked across at Robin. “What shall I do with this tiny person?” she asked.

“I think we’d better find her mother. She must be worried and looking for her daughter,” he replied, peering down the street. “I’ll go have a look down there, I think there’s a bit of a fuss going on. Could be her mother. Wait here, I’ll be back in a minute.” Robin melted off into the crowd. Starfire sighed. The girl in her arms was still crying.

“Do not be afraid, little one!” she said cheerfully. “Robin and I will find your parents.”

The little girl stopped sobbing, looking up at Starfire with big, blue eyes. “Really?” she asked, her voice quavering.

“Of course!” the Tamaranian replied. “We cannot let you wander around by yourself!” She gave the little girl a wink. “You might attempt to steal something.”

The girl giggled. “But I wouldn’t do that! Mommy says stealing is wrong.”

“Then your mother is a very good person, teaching you so well! But tell me, why did you not find a policeman and ask for assistance?”

The young girl thought about the question for a moment. “I tried to,” she finally said, “but everyone is so big, and I couldn’t see. Then I saw you and Robin, and you are my favouritist heroes, and you can help me!”

Starfire smiled. “Well done, you really are a good girl! Don’t worry, we’ll find your mother.”

The girl smiled. Suddenly, she spoke again. “Are you Robin’s girlfriend?”

Starfire was taken aback. “What? What do you mean?”

“Are you Robin’s girlfriend?” the little girl asked again, completely serious.

“Well, I mean, I wouldn’t say that…it’s not easy to explain…”

“Try.”

Starfire stammered. “W...well we are very good friends. Best friends, in fact, but I do not think we are…together in quite such a manner…”

“Why not?”

“It’s complicated,” Starfire sighed, looking at the sky.

“Why?” the girl asked, looking up at Starfire with innocent eyes.

Starfire looked back down. “Well, because…it might not be prudent for us to be together.”

The girl wrinkled her nose. “Prunes dent? What’s prunes dent?”

Starfire laughed. “It means it might not be the best thing for us.”

Robin materialised out of the crowd, a distraught woman in tow. Starfire nearly jumped in surprise.

“Oh, Helena!” the woman cried, holding out her arms.

“Mommy!” the girl said, leaping form Starfire’s embrace and into that of her mother.

“Oh, my sweet little angel, where did you get to?” the woman asked, cuddling her daughter tightly. She looked at Starfire. “I hope she wasn’t any trouble. I don’t know where she went, I only turned away for a second, and then the crowd got so thick and…”

“Do not fear, you and your daughter are reunited,” Starfire said. “I am just glad my friend and I could help.”

The woman, after profusely thanking Starfire and Robin, walked back down the street, holding Helena’s hand tightly. Helena turned briefly, and waved at Starfire, before disappearing into the crowd with her mother.

“You know, I think we’re out of trouble now,” Robin said, gazing up at the clear blue sky.

“What do you mean? Surely you don’t mean that girl could have been trouble?” Starfire asked in confusion.

“Not what I meant. Listen: hear any signing?”

Starfire gasped. “Why, no! I haven’t heard anyone sing since yesterday when Cyborg sang about the battery in the remote running out of power!”

“Exactly. I think that Larry’s little alteration to reality might have finally ended.”

“That is good to hear,” Starfire said. Secretly, though, she was disappointed. She enjoyed having the excuse to burst into song.

“Come on, let’s contact the others and get back to the tower. We need to see what we’ve found.”

*********

Robin sat in the evidence room. His elbow was propped on the table, his chin rested on his palm. He was deep in thought, his brow furrowed in intense concentration. If Starfire had been there, she would have accused him of thinking about Slade. But he wasn’t; Robin’s thoughts were on the recent outbursts of singing.

True, some of the singing had been annoying: Beast Boy’s outburst of “Tofu, wonderful tofu” had driven Cyborg into a frenzy, and Starfire’s “Ode to a pink gelatinous substance” had forced Raven to leave the room. But now, with no soft background music, no random sounds of “Android’s paradise” creeping down the corridors…somehow, Robin was starting to miss it.

He smiled to himself as a small tune popped into his head. His frown softened, and he looked up at the wall, at the pictures and articles from newspapers pasted there. He stood, looking at one in particular.

Who is Slade? It said in bold, dark letters. Robin reached forwards and, gripping the paper tightly at the edges, tore it from the wall. He crumpled it into a ball and threw it into the bin with expert aim. He smiled to himself, and sang softly.

“I’m not a perfect person…”

Why does the madness have to end? Why?

Still, that was a cool ending all the same. Having Starfire explain her relationship with Robin was a nice touch, it wrapped up the whole theme of the messiness of friendships very cleverly. Plus, the "Android's Paradise" line was pretty funny.

Along with everyone else, I eagerly await the end of this story and the beginning of the next one.

Beautiful. Great music, great characters. You always have the ability to write stuff that could almost be an episode. I feel, however, that the stuff that we write here is more realistic than the episodes though. The little girl is a clever touch. I couldn't have asked for a better ending. And the best thing about its ending is that someday we'll see a new Lord Welshi story. Take your time though. For stuff this good, we'll wait a long time.
Not sure this is really hall of fame material (too strange of an idea, in a way), but it definetly goes on my favorites list. Maybe when HoF3 rolls around, I'll have changed my mind...

Perpetual encouragements,

Wow, i never expected this to be as popular as it is! I don;t think this would go on the hall of fame, i'm not sure it should anyway. There are better works out there, this was just random fun. And i'm glad the little girl went down well with everyone, i wasn't sure about that. I felt a more human, real-world touch was needed to end it, showing that the Titan's don;t only deal with huge supervillains, but help whenever they can, cos that's what super-heroes do, doncha know?

Oh, and she helps explain the robin/star thing, too.

So, did i hear a request from someone for a bonus song? A couple more requests, and you'll get it, right after i finish up the epilogue!

And now, dear fans, i say...

Epilogue: This Collision

“Man, I really want pizza!” Cyborg groaned from the couch.

Robin looked across at the mechanical teen. He was sitting on the piece of furniture, his back arched as his head tilted backwards, a metal hand placed over his eyes. Cyborg groaned again, louder this time.

“Go grab something from the fridge,” Robin suggested.

“Too hungry to move…” Cyborg said in a pathetic voice.

Raven looked up from her book. She had been quietly reading in the corner of the room. “I’m sure you have enough strength to make the journey to the fridge,” she said. Cyborg just groaned in reply.

“Dude, fine, I’ll do it!” Beast Boy said, as he paused his game of Shooty-killy-hurty things 17-and-a-third and leapt over the sofa. He paused, his hand outstretched, fingers ready to grasp the handle to the fridge door. “Uh, guys, I might need back-up…”

Cyborg instantly got up, and walked quickly over to Beast Boy. “Dude, hurry up and get my food.” His arm clicked as he readied the sonic cannon. He pointed it at the fridge. “Don’t worry, Cyborg’s got you covered!”

“What a surprise, he can move again,” Raven said, not looking up from her book.

Starfire floated over to the teens who were about to open the fridge. She took up a position, floating above Cyborg’s head. “We are in readiness,” she told Beast Boy, starbolts glowing ready in her hands.

“Ok. 1…2…3…go!” Beast Boy wrenched the door open.

There was a loud scream. Starfire fell to the floor, having apparently fainted. Beast Boy yelled in horror, and ran out of the room, waving his hands above his head. Cyborg placed a hand to his mouth and, turning his back on the fridge, bent over.

“Awww, man, I think I’m gonna be sick…” he mumbled.

“Guys, what is it?” Robin asked, moving over to Cyborg.

Cyborg reached out, grabbing his friend’s arm. “Robin, man, as your friend, I can’t let you look at it,” he said. “It’s…just too horrible.”

“Come on, Cy! It can’t be that bad. Remember, we’ve fought a giant oozing monster that drinks sewer water! What could be more disgusting than that?” Robin moved past Cyborg, who ran to the nearest bathroom.

Robin staggered backwards. Nothing could have prepared him for the sight he beheld. He staggered over to where Starfire lay, still unconscious, and curled up into a ball beside her, muttering under his breath and sucking his thumb.

Raven slammed her book shut, a look of frustration on her face. What could possibly be so bad? Blue fuzz again? She stepped over Robin, who clutched her leg. She looked down at him.

“The horror…the horror…” he muttered.

“Get over it,” Raven said, wrenching her leg out of his grasp.

Cyborg returned, leaning on the doorframe. He held out his hand, palm facing Raven. “Rae, I can’t let you do it. It’s too horrible…”

“I can deal with it,” she said. She looked away from him, and knelt in front of the fridge. She stood briskly, and straightened her cloak, smoothing out the edges.

“Rae?” Cyborg said. “You ok?”

“It’s just an empty fridge,” she replied.

Beast Boy appeared next to Cyborg, and the both just stared at her. Robin and Starfire, having both miraculously recovered from their varying mental states, both screamed “WHAT?”

“Uh…pizza?” Raven suggested.

The others looked at each other. Then they broke into grins.

“Pizza!” they shouted, running out of the door, dragging a struggling Raven with them.

Raven sat in the front seat of the T-car with Cyborg, groaning quietly to herself as beast Boy tried to tell more jokes.

“Ok, why are ducks so funny? ‘Cause they’re always quacking jokes!”

“I see, so it is humorous as ducks lack the large brains necessary for the telling of jokes?” Starfire said in confusion.

“It’s not funny because Beast Boy lacks the brain for telling jokes,” Raven said dryly.

Cyborg and Robin laughed. “She’s got you there, BB!” Cyborg said.

Ok, ok,” Beast Boy said as Cyborg stopped at some traffic lights. “Why did the chicken cross the road?”

“To beat up the idiot telling jokes about it?” Raven answered.

Cyborg laughed again, slowly stepping on the gas as the light changed to green.

There was a loud crash, and the scream of tortured metal. Something large had collided with the T-car, sending it flying across the street. Starfire screamed as she was thrown about in her seat: Beast Boy whimpered, his head smacking against the side window as the glass cracked. Raven tried to stop herself panicking, concentrating to quell her emotions as she held onto the door handles for dear life. Cyborg was thrown into the windscreen, his head smashing the glass into tiny pieces, bursting into the car and showering the occupants with tiny pinpricks of clear translucence. Robin was thrown into the passenger door. His arm was crushed between his body and the door: the g-forces generated by the impact putting immense pressure on his appendage. The bonnet buckled and crunched, pushing backwards towards the driver’s seat. Cyborg grunted as the steering wheel was pushed into his chest, the tortured metal collapsing under sheer force. He pushed back, trying to prevent his own car from crushing himself and Raven. The car span as it landed back on the road, tires squealing as it rotated, black lines scraping along the asphalt. The car finally stopped moving. The engine, hissing and steaming, erupted with steam. The crumpled bonnet shot off the top, flying high into the air, and landing with a loud crash someway down the road. Cyborg growled, and punched forwards, sending the entire steering column ripping through the bulkhead that had stopped the engine from crushing the car’s occupants. Raven used her powers to wrench the doors off the car, flinging them wildly down the street.

The Titans disentangled themselves from the wreck. Starfire erupted from the roof, her eyes glowing green as she landed next to the twisted mass. Robin and Beast Boy crawled out of their doors, rubbing their heads and staggering over to where Raven, Cyborg and Starfire stood.

“Awww, man! My car!” Cyborg groaned.

“Hey, at least we weren’t killed!” Beast Boy said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

“What happened?” Starfire asked. “Were we hit by another vehicle?”

Robin and Raven looked at each other, then glanced to the large, brown boulder that had imbedded itself in the street no more than 20 feet away.

“Terra,” they said in unison.

“Hello, Titans!” A voice called. They all looked to a nearby rooftop, where a golden-haired girl stood with her hands on her hips. “Miss me?”

OOO great! the top made me laugh so damn hard! lol

:D i'm still trying to calm down.... *sigh*
yea, I REQUEST A BONUS SONG! please?... :crying:

Ok. I'm going to request a bonus song. We really ought to have one. And I don't use the word "really" as frivolously as some people do. I simply must hear one last. But take your time and make it a good one.

The epilogue. I forgot all about that. I thought the last chapter was the last we would see. About this (ok, I'll call it a chapter) chapter. This must be the funniest Titans fridge scene ever. I thought acrobatic pizza could never be topped, but count on Lord Welshi to break his own record. I kinda wondered if it would be empty, and when I read Raven's response, I fell off my chair (ok, not literally).

Right now, I'm eating a delectible brownie (completely homemade - no mixes or cheat stuff), and I don't want to share it with anyone. But if I could send it over the internet to you, I would. That's how good this chapter is. It's better than my brownie. Ok.

I'm waiting for that last song...

Kregor's right, that is the funniest fridge scene... i'm afraid i had to shove my forearm in my mouth to keep from being heard laughing. li liked the ending, how it tied back into the Titan's storyline. Excellent job, dude:anime: .

I'm glad you all liked that epilogue. I thought it would be a good idea to tie it back into the series, since it all started off after "Fractured" anyway. I thought, what could be better than tying it back into "Aftershock"?

Anyway, just a couple more comments wanted, then you'll get the bonus song. I've had 6 requests for the bonus song (Jazzy chick has requested twice, which i will allow since she offered me her cherries.)

Tis on the way, i just await maybe one more comment.

Digging the fridge scene mightily, it really drove home the fact that the Teen Titans, despite all the horrible things that they get put through, are still just teenagers. Plus it was also funny.

Does my request for a bonus song count as the last one?

Wow. I'm still laughing after that chapter. That was great. In the second to last chapter, i was a little worried that Slade had come up with some kind of age changing gadget and that the little girl was terra in disguise, witht he blue eyes and everything, but it wasn't. Maybe i read into stuff too much, but there we go.
Oh, and I add my request to the list for one last song. :D

11-20-2004, 04:30 PM
i am so sorry i have just now read the storys last post i will miss it so but please do post more of a different story or more for vanishing act pllllleaaase!!!! oh and one more question its funny how you can have two different stories but have the charchters have different feelings for each other such as in vanishing act robin and starfire figure out there feelings but in this story line starfire thinks that it would be to complicated it takes a lot of imagination to think of the many different emations to think out a possible ending ina manner to 8 thumbs up indupidently!!!:anime:

Lord Welshi
11-20-2004, 05:38 PM
In reply to starfire0639's comment, this story is actually set in the Titan's series tiemline, right between "Fractured" and ""Aftershock" in season 2. My story Vanishing Act, however, was not set in any of the seasons: it basically IS a season all on it's own; it's like an else-world i suppose. It is Titans, just not as we know it.

Ooh, spock!

Oh, and Cyborg's recordings were going to feature in the epilogue, but it didn't really go with the flow of the chapter, so i am putting them into the chapter with the bonus song. Yes, the bonus song is evolving into a chapter. HOWEVER it is a self-contained chapter, and the only relevance it has to the story itself is Cyborg's recordings.

Oh, and the singing.

Live long and prosper

OK guys, here is the first chapter to Titans: the musical: the bonus acts! This first one is split into smaller chapter, the first of which is being posted below. Essentially there will be 3 chapters for this particular mini-crazy story: beginning, middle, end! Hope you enjoy!!!

------------------------------

Teen Titans: The Bonus Acts

“So where is it we’re going, Cyborg?” Robin asked from the back seat.

“Just wait and see!” Cyborg replied from the front seat, keeping his eyes on the road.

They had been driving through Jump City for the last half and hour. Cyborg has burst into the living room no less than an hour before, telling his friends that he had a surprise for them. He had bundled them into the T-car, and driven away from the tower, taking them on a strange route through the city.

“Dude, how much longer?” Beast Boy asked in irritation.

“Almost there…”

Raven harrumphed in her seat next to Cyborg. She didn’t really care where they were going, it was bound to be something pointless. She just wanted to curl up in bed with a good book and drink some tea. A feeling of strange tranquillity often overcame her when she stayed in her room, doing nothing more strenuous than turning feather-light pages whilst sipping a hot drink. Her thoughts were interrupted as the car stopped suddenly. She could here a strange roaring sound.

“Ok, we’re here!” Cyborg said, turning and grinning at his passengers.

As they opened their doors, they were struck with a wall of sound. Screaming, crying, shouting and yelling. Cheers and whistles, whoops and laughs. Beast Boy’s mouth dropped open as he looked at the crowd of people, all cheering and applauding. Robin looked at the tall building behind the crowd, ablaze with swinging spotlights and brightly lit signs. Raven glared at the dark clothed men standing in front of the crowd, arms crossed and glowering at anyone who got too close. Starfire looked at the red carpet that led to the front door of the large building.

“Oooh, pretty!” she said with the profound intelligence of a lemon.

“Uh, yeah,” Beast Boy said, still awestruck and staring like a rabbit looking at those final two headlights in the middle of the road.

“Uh huh,” Robin agreed, fiddling with his cape.

“Hmmm,” Raven hmmmed.

“Heh, thought you guys might be impressed!” Cyborg said, still grinning at them. “Titans, welcome to the Imperial Performance Theatre!”

Beast Boy turned to him. “Dude, why are we here?”

Cyborg winked at him. “There’s a one-night only performance on tonight, and we got the best seats in the house!”

“How’d you afford the tickets?” Robin inquired. “This is the most expensive entertainment place in the city!”

“Oh, I found a way…” Cyborg said cryptically.

The other Titans just stared at him, and then shrugged. Cyborg urged them down the red carpet. As they walked along the red carpet, they were met by thousands of people cheering their names and calling to them.

“Robin, I love you!”
“Uh, thanks?” Robin replied, unsure of how to react.

“Cyborg, mah dawg! Lookin’ awesome, man!”
“Hey, s’up man?” the mechanical teen replied, smiling and pointing.

“Raven! Raven! Raven! I think you’re hot!”
“Um…” Raven mumbled, trying to hide a small blush with her cloak.

“Beast Boy, dude, you’re the coolest green dude ever!”
“You know it, baby!” he replied, morphing into a lion and roaring, before changing back to human form amidst wild cheers.

“Starfire! Will you be my girlfriend?” someone shouted from the crowd.
“Thank you, but no, I already have my eye on someone!” she replied, smiling sweetly.

“Curse you, Robin!” the voice shouted, but it was barely heard amongst the wild laughter.

Starfire floated over to Robin, who was at the head of the group. She slipped an arm through his. As he turned to look at her, she smiled at him. “I believe it is customary for the gentleman to escort the young lady into the theatre?” she asked.

“Uh, yeah,” he said, lost for words, unconsciously tightening his grip slightly on her arm.

Cyborg, along with 2000 other people, noticed this and smiled. He turned to Raven holding out his hand. “If I may?” he said, inclining his head.

Raven was taken aback for a second, and then recovered. “Ok, I guess,” she said, taking his hand and walking behind Robin and Starfire, who were now near the entrance. Beast Boy trailed behind. He turned to his left, holding a hand out, and then turned to his right, still holding it out. He sighed dramatically, his shoulders heaving.

“What, no one for me?” he said loudly. “Oh well.” He morphed into an octopus, and, linking one tentacle with another, squelched towards the door amid roars of laughter from the crowd.

just don't post how you think he got them, i'd like to keep a LITTLE bit of suspense, and i want a tiny bit of a surprise in the next chapter.

Glad everyone enjoyed that chapter. I wasn't sure if the "lemon" thing would go down well, since it might seem i was insulting starfire. i wasn't...well, i was, but it wasn't a real insult, if you know what i mean?

Did I comment on this? I though I did. I guess not. Ok, so I will.

Wickedly funny. It has the typical "are we there yet" attitude, at first. Nice. Then, when they get to the stadium, it's line after line of perfect crowd stuff. Crowds really say these things. And they really are funny. I really must know what comes next.

Let me get this straight. You're doing 3 follow ups. This is 1 3rd of the first one. Is that right? Do we really look forward to at least 4 more chapterettes? Or is that just wishful thinking?
Oh yeah, you're a fan of the Raven/Cyborg relationship, right?

I'm glad everyone likes this story so much! Tis a good thing too, for a new bonus chapter will be arriving, possibly on saturday or sunday. I can't promise any sooner than that: it's the last week of term at uni, so frantic rush to do final bits of work, and got christmas parties to go to and time to spend with my girlfriend and all hectic crazyness. So hopefull on Sunday you'll have another chapter!

okay there are a few things i would like to comment on

1) your new sig is cool! when is AS coming out?

2) that last chapter was a riot and i will wait patiently for the next one provided it is as good, or near enough, as the last

3) i think i have an idea about why they're going there and how cyborg paid for the tickets

4) the rae cy thing was hinting at something but if my hunch is right cy might regret going in with Rae

5) beast boy going in with himself as an octopus was a laugh and he seemed to be in his element when he was in front of the crowds

6) please write more soon but i agree that essays are horrible and im only at GCSE level! I am sooo not looking forward to uni!

2)cool
3)i bet you do
4)yes, it was and yes, he will
5)i figured he's a show off, so he loves crowds of people, especially when they cheer him
6)more coming soon, and you should look forward to uni! it's an awesome time of your life, i've had so much fun in this one term alone! i met so many good friends, got drunk a couple times with them, and met my girlfriend! that was all in the first week! It's not as bad as you think, these essays just crept up on me is all, if i'd been better with time management there wouldn't be a problem. You should go to uni, you'll have a fantastic time! oh, and good luck with the GCSE's, heh.

Ok guys, here is bonus chapter 2. I'm not too happy with how this turned out, it's nowhere near as funny as the previous chapter, but it is longer and contains some mild flirting. Well, i say mild, but...well...whatever. WARNING! if you have any qualms about discussions of kissing (the fun kind!) then DO NOT READ THIS! I would give this a rating, but i don't know how the American rating system works, so i will give it a rating of PG-13 i suppose. It might be too high or too low, but i don't know! Apologies if i have not given adequate warning.

----------------------------
Bonus Chapter 2

“So what’s this performance then, Cy?” Beast Boy asked as he entered through the ornate, oaken doors. One of the porters standing to the side of the entrance closed the door, muffling the loud cries and cheers from outside.

“It’s a surprise, I can’t tell you yet,” the mechanical teen replied, still holding Raven’s hand in his.

Starfire and Robin turned to face him. Robin had moved his arm around Starfire’s waist, and she was hugging him furiously, batting her eyelashes and pressing up against him. “You still haven’t told us how you paid for the tickets,” Robin said, trying desperately not to look at the increasingly amorous Tamaranian that had started nibbling his earlobe.

“Oh, I’m sure you don’t want to be bothered with that right now, I mean I wouldn’t want to interrupt you and Star…” Cyborg said, grinning.

Robin suddenly turned to Starfire. “Behave!” he said sternly, looking at her with a mock look of anger. She stopped what she was doing and, moving her hand down Robin’s back, under his cape so no one could see what she was doing.

“I’m sorry,” she said, looking into his eyes with a completely straight face. Robin jumped slightly as Starfire pinched him somewhere that was rather inappropriate in public places.

Raven just looked at them, and then looked around the building they had walked into. They were in a large hallway. The high ceiling was shaped into a large dome, with beams running across the tops of the walls. The ornate sculptures that were placed at even intervals around the sides of the room seemed to be well made copies of classical Greek originals. Raven had always liked the classical cultures and civilisations of the world, the ancient Greeks in particular: she often read books about Greek literature and art. Raven noted the symmetrical proportions of the anatomy, the rigid line of their backs, and the way that each statue appeared to be standing with their left foot forward. She admired these sculptures: though to the untrained eye they may have seemed to be the ideal for men, if you looked closer you could see that to try and attain those bodies would be impossible, and standing in that pose was not good for your back. The gleaming marble floor led to a staircase at the far end of the expansive hall. The grand staircase led up to another level, where there was a ticket booth and a curtained entranceway to what must have been the theatre stalls. She realised, to her astonishment, that this building was actually very romantic.

She looked at Cyborg, noting that the metal hand she held in hers was not cold and harsh, as she imagined it would be, but was quite warm and was a comforting presence. She would never try to bat her eyelashes at him; she would never nibble his ear; she would never try to pinch him somewhere that was inappropriate in a public place; but, she thought, she wouldn’t mind trying. She leaned closer towards him, confident that the other Titans, engaged as they were in various activities of flirting (Beast Boy had spotted a young female attendant and had used the line “You know, babe, I can change into anything you want!”), and whispered to him.

“So, how did you afford these tickets?”

Cyborg smiled back at her. “And what makes you think I’ll tell you and not the others?”

Raven smiled back. “Oh, I’m sure I can convince you,” she said, giving him a cheeky wink.

Cyborg almost fell over in surprise. “Did you just give me a cheeky wink?” he asked.

“Yep.”

“Whoa. That was amazing. Do it again!”

“Are you sure you just want the wink, or do you want something a little more…substantial?” Raven asked, moving closer to the now nervous Cyborg. She walked her fingers up his arm, before placing her arm around his neck.

“Uh…uh…oh, wow,” Cyborg stuttered. “Well, uh, I mean, I guess I could tell you. But we need to get away from the others, they can’t know yet.”

“No problem,” Raven whispered to him in a sultry voice. Using her powers, she teleported them to a different part of the building. They were in a small hallway. A red curtain hung loosely over a doorway. Raven, having Cyborg’s hand firmly in her grasp, led him into the room. It was a nondescript room, so it will not be described.

“Now, what was it you were going to tell me?” she said, moving her face close to Cyborg’s.

“Just promise you won’t kill me?” he said, moving his free arm around her back and pulling her closer.

“OK,” she whispered, her right hand moving up his metal chest as her left hand, still clutching Cyborg’s hand, moved to her hip.

“You remember those recording I made of when we were all singing a couple weeks ago?”

“Yes,” she said, barely taking note of what he was saying.

“Well, I kinda pressed them into a limited edition CD album that I sold across Jump City.”

“Uh-huh….you what?!?!” she suddenly burst out. Her hair flared up around her head as black energy coursed through her body. There was a loud crunching sound. Both Cyborg and Raven looked down.

“My hand!” Cyborg cried out, lifting his now crushed appendage. The fingers dangled uselessly, and the thumb fell off.

Raven gasped. “Oh, Cyborg, I’m so sorry!” she said, her hair falling back into its usual place. “I didn’t mean to do that!”

Cyborg waved his damaged hand at her. “Hey, it’s no problem,” he said. He moved closer to Raven. “It can be fixed,” he said quietly, reaching behind the stunned girl. She closed her eyes, inhaling deeply; waiting for what she was sure was going to happen.

Cyborg abruptly pulled away from her. There was a click. Raven opened her eyes. Cyborg stood there, his hand now seeming to have magically repaired itself. “Ha!” he said in triumph.

Raven was shocked. Why didn’t he do what I thought he’d do? she thought to herself, feeling disappointed. Then another question entered her mind. “Where’d you get the new hand, Cyborg?” she asked.

“Uh, not quite sure, I just reached behind you and there it was, almost as if some higher power had put it there just for this particular moment in this specific room. It’s almost like there’s someone controlling our actions for his or her own amusement, or possibly for the entertainment of others. How odd.”

“Yes, quite odd,” Raven agreed, nodding.

“Guess we’d better get back to the others,” Cyborg said, turning to leave.

Raven sighed. “Yes, I suppose we should.” Raven once again teleported them back to the main hallway. Starfire had managed to manoeuvre Robin into a corner and was now busily enjoying his company, and Beast Boy was nowhere to be seen. “If you’ll excuse me a moment, I need to use the ladies’ room.” Raven said, walking towards the correct door.

She moved to the sink, washing her hands and splashing cold water on her face when the door opened. Starfire walked in, with a huge smile on her face. She moved to the sink next to Raven. Looking in the mirror, she straightened her hair. She looked at Raven, and giggled.

“So, you’ve finally kissed Robin, huh?” Raven asked.

“Yes! It was so wonderful! I did not know about the thing with ‘tongues,’ that was fun! I especially enjoyed when he grabbed my-” she was interrupted by the door bursting open. The young attendant they had seen earlier walked in. Her hair was dishevelled, her blouse was uneven, and she looked very flustered and out of breath. She moved to the sink next to the two girls, and tried to sort out her hair.

Raven looked at her. She was quite tall, had short brunette hair, and brown eyes. “So, what’s your story?” she asked.

The girl, who’s name, according to her name tag, was ‘Claire,’ looked up at Raven. “That Beast Boy is amazing!” she said in a breathless tone. “I had no idea just how good a kisser he is! Do you know what it’s like to kiss a guy who can change his tongue into anything? It’s incredible! And so many appendages, they’re everywhere at once!” She gasped suddenly. A long, green appendage had wrapped around her waist. “Sorry, got to go!” Claire said, smiling and running outside, following the long green tentacle.

Raven looked back at Starfire, shrugged, and walked out of the door.

It wasn't as funny as the first but it was still funny and i didn't mind the flirting that much, it was also quite funny.

I was quite surprised that Raven didn't make the building explode or something but what you did was still great

When is the next one out?
