Not only for the fact that from all reports, the new VB episodes look AMAZING. But also from this standpoint. William Street seems to be promoting Venture Brothers as an Action/Comedy series from its action-full promos and the fact it is premering on Saturday. If Venture Brothers is able to get Futurama ratings on Saturday or above, it might be one huge step in the direction of ending the comedy infusion on Saturdays, because then it would appear VB could anchor the entire block like Futurama is doing now. Thus a true all action Saturday could once again take place.

Plus the show looks amazing.

Hmm, well I hope it's mostly an action cartoon, because the pilot that aired wasn't funny at all.

I'll cheer anything that keeps Sealab off Saturdays.

I'll cheer it on because it's actually drawn and animated by hand like the regular cartoons. Remember those?

If this tanks then AS probably won't do another traditionally animated series for a long time.

I am not going to cheer Venture Bros on because I like Anime. I am going to cheer it on because I have been patiently waitng for Venture Bros to come on since it's awesome pilot.

I can't wait to see how Venture Bros. turned out. I've been waiting for it since the first airing of the pilot. I thought it was dang hillarious and wonderfully violent but still slightly tasteful. But the ending was um... well terribly disturbing. Never thought I'd see a ninja wack-off much less to a machine.

Anyway...

At this point we have been told that in November the comedy portion of Saturday will move to the last hour but hopefully it wont be an hour.

I'm hoping in September Saturday looks more like this

11:00 - Venture Bros.
11:30 - Lupin the 3rd Premieres (I know I'm crazy could be Case Closed premieres instead)
12:00 - Inuyasha
12:30 - Wolf's Rain
01:00 - Cowboy Bebop
01:30 - Trigun

Then in November

11:00 - GitS: SAC
11:30 - Fullmetal Alchemist
12:00 - Inuyasha
12:30 - Trigun (WR moves to weekdays)
01:00 - Cowboy Bebop
01:30 - Venture Bros.

Why do you want comedy to leave, its the only reason that AS saturdays even exists anymore, plus its helping the action shows quite a bit.

Venture Bros. looks like it'll be great and I liked the pilot so that only adds to my expectations. Brock poking in the insect dude's eyes is stuck in my head.

I didn't care much for the pilot, but my expectations have grown quite a bit recently. I won't cheer it on because I like anime, I'll cheer it on because Christ, AS needs something good.

I thought the pilot was great, it was funny as hell, great fun violence but not the WS show's way but to me in a just funny way not shock violence. I'm expecting a cool show and I think the show is in good hands.

The promos have made my interest grow in Venture Bros, and I want it to do good because AS should have a good action show that's not anime. Even though I like anime.

Hey, I'm doing the guide over at tvtome.com and here's a description for Dia De Los Dangerous

In Mexico, the Ventures encounter their arch-foe, the Monarch, who captures the boys; Dr. Venture awakens to discover his kidneys have been stolen. So to answer Gerbil_Power's question. Yes, Monarch is comin' back!

I didn't get to watch the pilot, but from the commericials and promos I'm not too excited about this. I'll still give it a chance and hope something good. besides keeping Sealab away, comes out of this.

I have not seen the pilot, but I'm willing to give Venture Brothers a chance. I hoping the show will blend the transition from comedy to action on the block.
Lets hope the show is better then Sealab.

I was kind of hoping for them to stick with the original concept of the Monarch, which the pilot pushed for, namely for the Monarch to have a different costumue, theme, and supervillian name every episode.

It still looks funny though.

Just by running, it's already better than Sealab. ANYTHING is better than Sealab.

Anyway, Venture Bros. looks promising as an action comedy. I hope it lives up to its promise. WS needs another home-grown comedy hit. They have ATHF, which has taken off, but a second hit means they can give ATHF a rest. (^_*)

I'd say the major goal here is to have enough popular original programing to do one of two things... Be able to give Futurama and eventually Family Guy a rest or be able to have an Adult Swim channel that wouldn't get terribly redudant too soon.

With new episodes coming, I dont think giving Family Guy a rest is that big of a concern. But getting Futurama off for a while, certaintly should be.
