Kagura you sultry vixen. Do you know how pissed off Naraku is going to be when he finds out what you have been up too? Yeah, he is going to be THAT PISSED.

Oh well. On an unrelated note, could you please get Kanna some sunlight. She looks a little sickly.

New Inu, lets all dance and wear fursuits!

I actually feel pity for Koga right now. His strength is pointless against Kagura. Sango is 100x's stronger than him.

I found Miroku being able to keep up with Kirara and still have enough breath a little unusual.

My goodness...now I'm against hitting women but that punch Kouga landed was so nice. It reminded me of one of Yusuke's punches.

haha.. Sesshi really gave it to Kagura. I bet she wasn't expecting that response from him. Rin's probably right about her lonliness..

Ya know, after hearing what Inuyasha was thinking, I actually agree with him and fighting anyway no matter if he's got his demon strength or not. The rest don't have his abilities but fight anyway, I wouldn't feel right either if I was Inuyasha and didn't fight just because I was only human.

Of course daybreak is upon us, will he transform in time? .. We shall see..

seeing inu yasha in a human mode akin to inverted lycantrophic curses.. truly different . and a nice turn of fate for our intrepid viewers. plus seeing, i guess, the team of inu yasha's brother doing stuff.. it's nice to know he was still out there, i guess....

and my goodness.... that mandrill demon really looks so nasty when he's not human..

ahhh, the best ending theme and sequence ever. makes you want to live though 7/12ths of this year has fallen to the ground, borken..

Hum. Koga and Inu team up. What up with that. Yes! It was about time Kagura got knocked out of that feather. I was getting tired of that. Jeez Koga is stubbon. Ooh someone finally got a hit on Kagura. Well Koga is dead. All well. Who cares :p. Oh no. Inu is human and Kagura name saw him. "For a moment I saw Inuyasha." Well duh. Yes full wind scar, kill kill. No! Why won't she die already! Man, Koga and Kagura's names sound too alike. I heard "Kagura we don't have to worry about. Its Kagura we should worry about.". Eh,I've seen better Inu epsoides. This one was okay. Another boring and a small big thing happens at the end. All well. I don't see why Inuyasha doesn't just go to Kagome's home when he's human. Well next epsoide. The lightning bros friends are after Shippo. Why be after him. Inu is the one that killed them. Well. I hope its a good one. Next Epsoide-The Lightning Bros Friends.

:tom:Thank you and good night.

Shippou's been really lucky lately. He's been getting a lot of episodes to himself. This next ep. looks hilarious. I always did find the Thunder Brothers hilarious.

Anyway, this week's episode was pretty good.

An alright episode, nothing other than Kagura for me to pay much attention to though. I was just waiting for Koga to get killed somehow. That guy just rubs me the wrong way. Kinda freaky to see Naraku as a disembodied head and the way he snagged Kagura with those demon appendages had me thinking five different kinds of nasty. A bit of funny bickering broke some of the tension in this episode and well, that's it.

Two problems I saw with this episode:

1) The total distance everyone traveled to find, fought, or watched Kagura.

It seemed that Inuyasha, Shippo, Kagome, and Miroku were very far away from Kagura. Right away Kouga catches up to Kagura. The next scene of Kouga, Sango magically apears behind Kouga. So we believe that Inuyasha is far away from the battlefield. Wrong, within seconds, he passes Sango who is not very far away from Kagura. As this happens Miroku followed close behind. As this takes place once the sun rises, Kagome and Shippo get closer and closer and closer to the battlefield without moving. You can tell because they somehow know everything that's going on when suposidly they're in the forest still. Either the dub, or the animation team is to blame for this placement/time elapse mix up.

2) Everyone for some stupid reason was saying out loud "DID KAGURA FIND OUT INUYASHA'S SECRET?! I HOPE SHE DIDN'T SEE HIM!!" At first she thought it was just her eyes playing trickes even though she believe what she saw. If they were wise enough to keep their mouths shut, Kagura may have droped that speculation about Inuyasha.

When Naraku was in his whatever form, I only kept thinking of two things.

1. Why doesn't Kagura just chop his head off and blow the rest up while he is in his weak form?

2. Man... that's just wrong.

This episode was okay, but I expected more.

Sesshoumaru really laid it down for Kagura. She sure wasn't expecting an answer like that, but I have to kinda agree with him. But what more is Kagura to do. It's kinda hard for her to turn against Naraku, considering that he technically holds her heart in his hand and could kill her at any moment if he really wanted too. I'd pretty intimidated too. I have a feeling we won't be seeing anymore Sesshoumaru/Kagura moments for quite a while. Also, the way that Naraku snagged Kagura like that with his appendages was kinda...freaky.

At first I thought that it would be pretty foolish for InuYasha to go out like that and like everyone see him while he was in his human form, but after listening to his speech on how everyone, despite the fact that they're human give it their all anyway, it made me kinda see his point of view and agree with him. But it seems like InuYasha got a lucky break, because I doubt Kagura would tell Naraku about it, considering how desperately she wants to be free of Naraku. It was also kinda foolish for Kouga to fight Kagura, when his jewel shards were snatched from him like that. He was lucky that he wasn't killed.

This episode was alright, but as I said, I did expect more. From the look of the previews, it seems like the next episode will be mostly humor and Shippou based. I'm not entirely fond of Shippou, but I'll hold the rest of my judgements until I see it. All in all, I give this episode a 3/5.

Eh, this episode was alright, the animation seemed better then usual. Sesshomaru gave the answer I was expecting him to, which was a long-winded no. Koga stupidly went and tried to fight Kagura without his shards, nearly getting himself killed. Then Human Inuyasha tried to get involved which was stupid. No matter how he tried to justify it with that little speech, it was still an incredibly dumb move. If not for the sun coming up, (Gee, what a cowincidence:rolleyes: )Kagura could of very easily killed him and Koga. Inuyasha better really watch his ass come next moon.

Great, next is a Shippo episode. I really hate it when they focus on the most useless and annoying character on the show.

This episode was above average, but like last time it seemed lackluster. Between the fights and the dialogue, it seems uninspired and actually quite slow-to-go. Otherwise I thought the plot was well-done. I was surprised that Sesshomaru turned down Kagura's offer, and Naraku made it clear that she should never do it again. BTW, Inu Yasha's non-demon form is much better than Naraku's. It was gross looking... lol. :D

I give Howling Wind of Betrayal a B-.

This was a great episode.:D Poor Kagura:( , no matter how much she tries to escape from Naraku grasp, he seems to use her one weakness;her heart. What was she thinking, Naraku has her heart and she is trying to betray him. That is pretty stupid and it was pretty low of Kanna sell her sister out like that. If I was Kagura, I would have beaten her (-) for doing that. Anyway, while me and my brother was watching Inuyasha, we notice that Miroku was running and we both like that fool is running that fast on foot while Kagome was riding at top speed on her bike, he must do a lot running for him to do that. Anyway, not to be wrong or anything but I want Kagura to the jewel shards and like let Koga find two more jewel for himself. Because after Inuyasha cut through her wind she is pretty weak now. If she wants to defeat Naraku and Inuyasha, she needs to find a lot of jewel shards to power up herself. Yep, weel I guess that all I wanted to say. I give this episode a 5 out of 5.:D :) :p  :anime:

And so ends the two-story arc about Kagura's PMS rampage...watch out, Kikyo, there's another ***** in town...

Was it just me or did "Howling Wind of Betrayal" have more carnage than usual?

I have a feeling we won't be seeing anymore Sesshoumaru/Kagura moments for quite a while.
And that feeling is very right. The next time Kagura and Sesshomaru are in the same episode is in 80/81 two-parter (though I don't remember them actually interacting with each other). And after that Kagura has little screen time during the Shichinintai arc (she's seen briefly in 117, she battles 118, but then she goes a way for an ep or two), after that she has a bigger role in the plot and she has more rendevous with Sesshy. So the next time they "officially" cross paths again is in the 140's.

Inuyasha and Koga are at it ... again! I also thought this episode was so-so. I was also sorta grossed out by the image of Naraku buried within all that goop and demon parts. I think it will be interesting to see how Kagura will act towards Inuyasha now. Even after Sesshomaru's rejection, I guess Kagura seems to think she can still also get help from him somehow after an image of him flashed in her mind.

Sesshoumaru dumps Kagura... YEAH! Also during round two with wolf-boy and the wind demoness, Kagura gets a face full of fist (http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wizardgrey/images/Inu%20Yasha/1042.jpg) when she became distracted. But with the help of Inu Yasha, Koga retrieves his shards while Kagura goes back to a very annoyed Naraku. How will Kagura use this secret she has learned to help free herself from Naraku? I guess we will find out later.

I really enjoyed that part when Sesshoumaru told Kagura to fight Naraku herself and to leave him alone. Boy was she POed. Yup I agree that Koga going against Kagura without jewel shards was just PLAIN STUPID. He barely put up a fight when he had those two shards in the first place. Inu Yasha did a brave thing confronting the wind demoness in his human state. Still that was dumb and having everyone talk out loud that he just revealed his secret right in front of Kagura was even dumber.

Oh well, still I did enjoy this episode. Man Naraku looks frigging nasty with a human head and those demons swarming all around him.

Screen caps located here. (http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wizardgrey/Inu%20Yasha.htm) One minor pan of Koga lying in a crater after an attack by Kagura.

Anyway, while me and my brother was watching Inuyasha, we notice that Miroku was running and we both like that fool is running that fast on foot while Kagome was riding at top speed on her bike, he must do a lot running for him to do that.

It's true. All indications are that Miroku is as strong as an ox and speedy to boot; I never forget that, in his first appearance, he basically went hand to hand with Inuyasha for an extended period without embarrassing himself. He must be drawing on the power of his libido in combat.

Rin got a few more lines! :anime:

I've always liked this story arc, mainly because it's the first time Kagura really acts out against Naraku. That and Kouga being beaten up is a plus, though him regaining the Shikon shards in the end made Kagura's rebellion somewhat pointless. Actually, I take that back. It did show her that Kanna is not on her side and is a Naraku's pet. It also clued her in on Inuyasha's period (for lack of a better metaphor) and Naraku's as well (though I remember there being more to it than revealed in this episode). This mini-rebellion also put in deep feces with Naraku as he's not as willing to trust her with some information (if he was even that willing to before). I really enjoyed the animation direction in this episode. Too bad this particular director's (Hiroshi Takeuchi) next episode as animation director (episode 72) is also his last. And for those who care, Hiroshi was also was the animation director for episodes 52, 57, 62 and 67.

I enjoyed this episode. One thing I thought was weird was that 2 times when Miroku seemed to be talking in general he ended up finishing his sentence with "Sango". Koga getting hurt was animated really well. Kagura was really obsessing with what Sesshoumaru said. Why did she think he would help her? Just because the last time they met she let him keep Tokijin? What Rin said about Kagura being "lonely" makes no sense to me. I would think Kagura were unhappy with her life, but lonely? I don't get where that came from. The end with Kagura and Naraku was so nice and creepy. Why did Kagura have a final flash to Sesshoumaru's face? Is she planning something else? Or is this just "Naraku's hurting me let me think of something I like"?

I think this episope was kinda funny, Mainly the fact that InuYasha (my favorite character), was kinda hot headed...Wait, isn't he always?? yeah but, If Naraku's demons weren't there, Kagura would be dead. But then the story would suck, and no one would watch the show and..what the hell am I saying.. . oh yeah
the show is the story and cool and...wait, back to reality here, any way Sango is hot and so is the show and thats all folks!:D

Finally got around to watching the episode. I was away at Otakon over the weekend, so I'd had it taped in my absence.

Anyway, the dub managed to throw in another weird line. "Inuyasha, I'll let you live a little longer. You're my trump card." Wow, I didn't know they played cards in medieval Japan. Granted, there was one episode where the Inu group was playing Old Maid, but since they have Kagome with them, they don't count.

Man, next week's episode is the epitome of cute, though. However, most of that was because of the baby dragon's voice, which in Japanese, was provided by the voice actress for Pikachu. Somehow, I doubt the English is going to be able to mimic that. But you never know.

This was a good episode, interesting ending I guess you'd say to Kagura's defiance of Naraku. Obviously she can't beat Naraku without the jewel shards, but she now knows that he's a half demon just like Inuyasha, and they both get weak at the same time. Perhaps she'll be able to use this to her advantage and attempt to take out both with one swipe.

Sesshi refusing Kagura was great, perhaps it'll end up helping her in the end, we'll have to see. Obviously Inuyasha doesn't see his human side as a weakness, which I think will end up making him stronger, even though some of his actions lean towards stupid. Koga fighting without the shards was crazy, but how the heck did he insert the shards back in his legs so quickly?.. That made no sense, it juts looked like he put them on his shin guards, but I guess it would've taken too long to show him shoving the shards into his wounds.. Also Kanna needs more screen time. :anime:

"Howling Wind of Betrayal" gets a B-.

Man, next week's episode is the epitome of cute, though. However, most of that was because of the baby dragon's voice.
wow, this makes TWO connections between IY and One Piece, not only is the baby dragon seiyuu also the voice of Chopper but Inuyasha's VA also voices Usopp

That seems to be the premise of IY multi parters these days.

Make it seem like something big and world changing is about to happen, then find a way to restore the status quo.

Besides, it makes me wonder why they'd even let Koga keep the shards. They need all of them to purify the jewel, so they have to take them sooner or later.

Naruku's part of the jewel looks like 3/4 of it is already put together, yet everyone seems to have huge pieces of it. I'm having a hard time figuring out how big it is in actual size. Before it was broken into several pieces by Kagome, it looked so tiny.

As you said they need all the shards so i bet after they kill naraku, and take his oh so lovely jewel shards then they'll problably ask koga and all the other people that still have them. THEN they'll problably purify it and do sumthin with it....I hope inuyasha doesent become full demon though...he'll be so fricken scary...and problably really violent....But i bet that they will do as explained above...it makes alot more sence. :anime:

I wonder where Naraku keeps the large chunk of the jewel when he's in his severed head form.

He probably hides it somewhere so Kagura can't take it.

Hehe, wrong episode, Tinkerbell.

Let me let you in on a little secret: the episodes shown on weekday nights are reruns. We've already seen and talked about them, they're not new to us. These talkbacks are for the new eppys that air on Saturday nights. "Howling Wind of Betrayal" was shown last Saturday for the first time, and this talkback thread is specifically for said episode. This coming Saturday, when a new episode premieres, a new talkback thread will be posted just for that episode, and that pattern will continue until all the unshown episodes given to William's Street are aired and we're stuck waiting for new ones. Hope that helps.

6. Naraku is actually fugly.
7. Miroku sure is fast for being in a dress:D (Don't hurt me! It's just a joke! Geeze.)
8. Why isn't Kanna helping Kagura get free(Kanna could probably be free too)
9. Naraku is totally gross
10. Finally! Kouga & InuYasha help eachother(although I remember the LAST time they fought together it was much more hilarious.:( )
11. Did I tell you how ugly & gross & need-to-barf Naraku looked?;)
Yep. That's my post. (Of course you saw him Kagura, I did too...for a long time now, come to think of it...:anime: )(lots of smilies...hehehe)
