Once again we've got something that aired on Toonami (and no doubt a the Toonami version). You gotta wonder if Bandai just gave CN the rights to air well... anything except for what G4TechTV has.

Couldn't have run the uncut anyway, unless CN can get away with frontal on in-Demand.

I never caught this when it aired on Toonami but at this point it wouldn't matter. So is Bandai properties the main course or are there different ONLY on demand shows, courtesy of other companies?

According to ANN's report of the Bandai pane (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/convention.php?id=161)l,

"Bandai is working with Cartoon Network to launch a Video On Demand channel. It will be named “Adult Swim Video on Demand, in association with Anime Village.com” and available through a number of cable providers, including Time Warner and Comcast. "

If I have to pay for it, it had better be uncut.

This is why Anime Network beats AS on demand.

If you're paying for digital cable, then AS on-demand, like Anime Network on-demand, would just be part of your package. There wouldn't be additional fees.

I originally seen Blue Submarine No. 6 when it first aired on Toonami, so it doesn't really bother me that I miss it, but does anyone know where On-Demand is serviced? I live near Phoenix, and until recently I've never heard of it.

Bandai better not put Kenran Butoh Sai on ASoD, that's REALLY Toonami material.

So if they really are trying to combat the Anime Network then they've really got to get the uncut versions of things instead of the Toonami ones. I mean who wants to go to all that effort to watch something edited?

Check with your cable provider. And as Karl mentioned you must have digital cable to get it (or for that matter any On Demand Channels...such as Anime Network.)

Yeah, on every Time Warner provider BUT MINE, APPARENTLY.

Eh, I think it is more just a promotional tool for Bandai than actually trying to combat the Anime Network. Bandai gets exclusive promotion (as well as their Anime Village thing) and Time Warner On Demand gets free/cheap content.
