I'm glad to see the Ham-Hams back. I had been wondering why with 102 episodes it had disappeared from the schedule. It seems to me like the perfect thing to include in the early timeslots that target younger kids. Perhaps they are saving it to air while all the non-younger kids are in school.

btw, the special is on a saturday(just checked calandar). notice that toonami is on saturday:mad: ! great! just what toonami needs! 6 year-old viewers.

Personally, I've never seen Hamtaro. When does the special come on? I want to sample the show.

If it comes on during Toonami, I've got some stuff for Cullen to say:

"Hamtaro returns. Only Toonami."

or

Peter Cullen repeats himself. He says "Mad Skillz" in a way to mock himself, and then says, "Only Toonami."

"Mad Skills? (clears his throat) Mad Skillz. No, it's MAD SKILLZ! Only Toonami."

Just because it is on a Saturday doesn't mean it is on Toonami. It's probably on Cartoon Theatre or something.

hamtaro is basically a show where a bunch of hamsters go on adventures. okay show, but the owner, laura, kind of ruins the show in my opinion. she's obsessed with hamsters and always says that the next day will be even better. yeah. the girl never has a bad day somehow. this was put on toonami 2 years ago and basically sent toonami into its "doom" age. the first 53 episodes premiered there with the next 51 premiering the next spring at 2:00 on weekdays, or something like that. like i said, its an okay show that younger kids(6-9 year-olds) would really enjoy. it just doesnt belong on toonami. somewhere between 7am-9am would be a great time however.

Hamtaro is a show I can't hate even though I wanted too. What can I say it is just so darn cute :o. So I can't wait.

The Hamster Horror returns eh?

That'd make a good Toonami tagline.

"The Hamster Horror returns, only Toonami."

Also, I noticed that this'll be on my birthday. Great present CN :)

We have the schedule for Toonami on August 21st and there's no room for Hamtaro.

It'll probably either be before Toonami 6-7PM or in the Saturday Block Party.

Hamtaro should be back on weekdays.

u know the toolbar to the right with the shows and link to toonami.com? on that toolbar u should be able to find an ad for ham-ham games. it depends if it appears when u visit a part of the site. click on the ad and you'll get information on the new hamtaro game and info about the new special.

It makes sense for Hamtaro to return to Cartoon Network. They had Hamtaro toys at Burger King in their Kids Meals and Big Kids Meals a couple of months before the show was cancelled. Interestingly, Hamtaro was on weekdays, then Saturdays, then was cancelled, and now it will be back on Saturdays. Maybe they figure it's good for once a week. This show could be a good candidate for Miguzi if it does well in the future.

Good. I'm glad Hamtaro is coming back. Sure, it's a kiddy show and it's not exactly great, but it's better than Baby Looney Tunes or The Cramp Twins.

I do enjoy watching the show from time to time.

I wonder if this means CN has bought new episodes of the show.

CN probably remembered they still had the rights to air it and said why not? :( I hope they are back for reals and to stay and with new episodes but being mysteriously disappeared for a year isn't good. and I call the talkback! :)

Well Hamtaro "supposingly" got good ratings the first time it aired, so I dont see why CN wouldn't air it anymore...

maybe they're going to put it on Miguzi, because it's had the same line-up for... 3 months? And they want to rotate...

By the way, which special is it?

James Bester

its called "ham-ham sports" on tv tome. i think its a reference to the new hamtaro video game.

its called "ham-ham sports" on tv tome. i think its a reference to the new hamtaro video game.Wouldn't surprize me. Anime sometimes have episodes to advertise new games coming out. Hamtaro has done it before (The two hamsters from ham-ham heartbreak appeared soon before the game was released in Japan. We got the episode in America too, but not until after the game came out...), and the only other ones I know of are the Kirby anime (Japan had an episode about Air Ride right before it was released) and Sonic X (Team Chaotix made an appearence about a week before Sonic Heros came out)
So this wouldn't be the first time...

Hamtaro would be okay on Miguzi but its not an action comedy and Miguzi doesn't specialize in anime like Toonami did back when CN first got Hamtaro.

I think pre-Miguzi and/or morning slots fit Hamtaro best.

I didn't really care for it, cute though the little buggers were, interestingly enough the sunglasses-clad chicken did make a cameo in Magical shopping arcade Abenobashi as a particularly humorous running gag

I'd like to see Hamtaro come back, for the little kids' sake. One hour of Baby Looney Tunes is a half-hour too many, and I don't think there'll be any new episodes of ThunderBirds ...Er, 'scuse me, I mean, Rescue Rangers...No, no, that's another channel! I mean, The Rescue Guys with the Most Humongous Feet...coming down the 'pike...

You know who I mean....;)

And pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease...Don't bring back Pecola!

Mrs. Geezil, champion of cute little toon types in our home, also thinks Hamtaro and the Ham-Hams should return in a more permanent time slot. (Hey, I don't especially mind 'em myself when it's mellow-out-with-the-TV time at workday's end, or on a lazy Sunday!) :)

Exactly what I would have said if you hadn't beat me to it. It's certainly way better than the shows they got in those slots now, like "Baby Looney Tunes". I was quite irritated when I brought up "Hamtaro" the CN website a day or so ago, and there was no time slot listed for it. If they announce the time, I'll certainly be on the lookout for it.

Just because it is on a Saturday doesn't mean it is on Toonami. It's probably on Cartoon Theatre or something.
"Hamtaro" did make at least one movie. I don't why CN wouldn't show "Hamtaro" on Cartoon Theatre sometime.

I wonder if this means CN has bought new episodes of the show.
We can always hope.

Actually, CN could air the "Thunderbirds". On Cartoon Theatre at least. I've seen other Turner outlets air the first Thunderbirds movie a few times.

Hamtaro has 3 movies in Japan but were any of them ever dubbed? I know Viz only released like 6 dvds with their trademark 3 episodes each so us fans can't even get the show if we wanted to :( CN just needs to keep it on the air this time!

I don't disagree--Hamtaro forever!

I'm sure the movies would be dubbed if CN pressed for them. ShoPro has aired other shows besides Hamtaro on CN, and I'm sure they would want to keep them happy.

I'm glad to see that Hamtaro is coming back on the air, even if it's just this special.. Hopefully this leads to at least the series returning to Cn, even if it's not new episodes.. I had missed seeing this show on the air, it had it's moments..

I think it would work good on Miguzi.. but like HS said.. it's not really what they're looking for it seems.. Pre- Miguzi then.. It needs to be on weekdays.. It's a fun, cute show..
