After watching "I Love the 90's" and realizing that I would give my first born child for the chance to drink Crystal Pepsi again, I went on ebay and found a few cans for $65 apiece. Athough, I was willing to give my own flesh and blood, I was not willing to give $65, I did come by this petition though:Bring back Crystal Pepsi! so, any other CP lovers like me can feel free to sign it. Man I used to love this stuff! I remember everytime I'd go on a trip with my parents we'd always stop at the gas station and grab pops, I remember saying "make sure you get me CRYSTAL diet pepsi, CRYSTAL not regular"! I think I was 8. So yeah, anyone else have fond memories of Clear Cola or am I just weird(er)?

I actually liked (and would drink) Crystal Pepsi when I was in college. :o It really wasn't all that bad, but I guess that the idea of a clear cola was perhaps something that the masses just couldn't get used to... :shrug:

Ya know, I've heard of Crystal Pepsi.. but I don't think I ever got the opportunity to try it.. At least I've gotten to try Vanilla coke, and that blue pepsi thing whose name I've forgotten, and Mountain Dew's Code red..

Usually I just end up sticking to the originals though..

No, I've never liked regular soda too much, probably because we never had it in the house so when I did try it somewhere else it seemed sickeningly sweet. I have agree with my mom on this one too, that soda is just empty calories, so if you;re gonna drink it, you might as well have 0 calories instead of 150. I've never been anywhere near overweight, and neither has my mother, whereas my dad, who abhores diet soda and only drinks regular is alteast 50-100 lbs overweight, so the way I see, we must have done something right.

I'm told I've never experienced Crystal Pepsi because in the South, where I grew up, it wasn't popular. So I don't remember it at all :/ That and I don't drink soda.

I loved Crystal Pepsi. It's my favorite soda of all time. however... I was young when Crystal was around and nostalgia could be causing fuzzy memories, so I'd be hesitant to try it if it were to make a comeback. you see, I've tried other things (including relationships with exs) a second time and imo the first time is always better.

I remember that stuff back around 1994. I had it at least once, but I don't remember what it was like, especially since I didn't drink stuff like that a lot back then. Nowadays, my favorite cola is Pepsi, so I'd love to try it again and compare.

Yeh, it was the episode about 1993 wasn't it. I don't remember what Crystal Pepsi tasted like since I was only 3 or 4 around then. I asked my bro about it and he said that there was no difference besides them taking the food coloring out. Was that all?

I vaguely remember Crystal Pepsi, but if I recall it kinda tasted like tropical sprite remix but then again maybe it's just me, pepsi blue I abhorred, then liked for some reason and I'm clinically addicted to code red (I accidentally mixed CR with wild cherry pepsi and it was actually pretty good)

Crystal Pepsi tasted EXACTLY the same as regular Pepsi. The color that regular Pepsi has is something they put in. This is why Crystal Pepsi works. When they tried to make clear beer, it didn't work, because beer is not naturally clear, so they had to add something in and it didn't taste right.

Regular Pepsi and Coke suck and if Crystal tasted like that, I wouldn't have liked it.

The first iteration of Crystal Pepsi tasted like Pepsi, but watered down.

The second iteration of Crystal Pepsi tasted like Tropical Sprite/Sprite.

I prefered the first version.

I'm not trying to start any arguments about it, but I have to wonder if some of you even tried Crystal Pepsi...See, there was two Crystal Pepsis. The real Crystal Pepsi, which tasted like Pepsi, and the retooled "citrus-based" Crystal Pepsi that they put out right before taking it off the market. I personally don't remember the change and have to wonder if it was region-specific, but I drank Crystal Pepsi a lot when it was out.

And it tasted like Pepsi.

what would be the point of only removing the coloring?Novelty. Most food companies, at one time or another, have offered traditional products in zany colors in order to raise interest. Because we are, by nature, a perverted species, unsatisfied by comforting routine.

Ya i would like to see it come back but they have probablly new stuff there working on now MYFAVS now are :
Mountaindew: live wire
Energy drink: redbull
Pepsi: reg pepsi , and vanilla
But what they should do is do a crystal vanilla pepsi that would sound good if they brought it back.But it Depends On The Persons Taste. if they like it or if they dont still there are people that remember it and liked it .But you never know they come out with new stuff everyday IDEAS a Brewin...:D

LOL every since VH1's "I Love the 90s" the interests in this beverage has gone overboard. If you want to try Crystal Pepsi, pick up Sprite Remix Tropical. Crystal Pepsi was a clear version of Pepsi, and introduced in 1994 and barely lasted a year. It just wasn't cutting it, regardless of how many people tell you they thought it was good.

If you're really interested, buy some of this decade-old soda on ebay. Check out the search listings (http://search.ebay.com/crystal-pepsi_W0QQsokeywordredirectZ1QQfromZR8)!

I tasted it, and didn't like it. It was as if they mixed the cola taste of pepsi with a fruit taste of Moutain Dew or Sprite into the same formula. The flavor was confusing and just too much. Plus the whole psyche out of having a clear color messed with your brain too...maybe it tasted the same if you closed your eyes?

I never heard of Crystal Pepsi but I have heard of Surge. I used to drink Surge all the time when I was in elementary school!
