yesterday, i went to see the music circus's production of the wizard of oz. it was VERY GOOD and also it was pretty funny. the gal who played dorothy, i think her name is juliana kavner hansen, looked just like judy garland. she also was a God-sent blessing to me because when all the actors went back on stage to take their final bow, she waved at me. this was very nice because i'd just gotten back from camp where i didn't have any fun because my best friend literally ignored me to my face. so that night i went to the performance and it did wonders for my broken spirit. and at the end when she waved at me i have to wonder if God put it on her heart. so juliana, if you're on this board, i love you!

anyway, i was wondering if you guys liked the music circus. any drama lovers out there?

Hey Toss ^ ^, well I don't like drama that much and you can tell Rinie to shove-it! For ignoring you.

I'm a drama lover, and am actually an aspiring playwright. I can't say I'm a fan of the production company, but I see a play every now and then. Except now I don't get tickets for free, so I don't go as much.

oh, you got free tickets?! how? you're so lucky! were they good seats? i know tickets to the music circus are pretty exy...the good ones anyway.I was part of a writer's workshop for the past two years, I might do it this year too. Anyway I constantly got free tickets to both Broadway and off Broadway shows. Last year I had great seats, front row a few times. This year I was a little more back, still a free play is a free play.

and i think it's great you want to be a playwright, i do too...but it's really quite difficult...Personally I sometimes find it easier than other forms of writing, if you look on the Story Board you can actually read a short play that I wrote. Great to talk to a fellow playwright.

aww, that's so cool! lucky duck! when i went to see the wizard of oz we got front row seats and my lil bro...well he sorta got his drink dropped into the orchestra pit...luckliy that was the extent of the damage...

and yeah, plays are easier to write then, oh, say, haiku, and lots of other things...i sorta just find the creativity factor hard. i love it though. what i usually like to do is pick a story or book and write a play based on it. presently my favorite form of writing is roleplaying with rinie and remy (both on this site). i find it great practice and fun.
