Namely for B.U.T.T that is, it was surprisingly abover average (namely due to 4's interaction with #3 in that certain scene) while T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G was just fine.

T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G was soo cute, is it just me or could Sonya be a possible love interest for Tommy or Lee?

the first one was ok, and kinda wierd to see one humiliated.. and the delightful children getting equally so.. though i would have expected them to have worn two-piece school uniforms.

the 2nd one was a bit nicer.. and had father reappear for the first in a long while.. his ability to impersonate others really deepened him as a villian. and the trainees were pretty cool, especially the girl one who kicked so much of the title of the first segment.. but i digress.

a nice pair of episodes. hope you see it over and over if it makes it to camp cartoon or a marathon.

Once again, I have to say I enjoyed both episodes.

Operation B.U.T.T. was funny, but Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 stole the show with their video game competition.

Operation T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G. was even better. It was cool seeing a side story of sorts centering around trainees. Tommy and Sonja were both nice additions. It would be great if they made another appearance.

B.U.T.T was kinda average but I loved T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G. I wanna see more of the cadets in more adventures. I found it funny when Father kept getting wet because he melted the ice above him with his fire aura. :D

"Operation B.U.T.T"- I kind of have nothing to say to it. I mean, it was better then the trend of tired butt jokes I expected it to be, butt still (no pun intended... okay, maybe so). I'm behind them (another stupid butt joke, I know) using continuity in they're episodes (Nigel having a big butt from "B.R.I.E.F" and hating beaches from "B.E.A.C.H" among other episodes mentioning that), and there was kind of climantic moment where everyone was sad about Nigel leaving the team. Still though, they like to really tush my buttons (that was a bad attempt at a butt joke) with all the repetive rear end jokes. Maybe we should be lucky that no one focused on the face Nigel had his other side exposed (then again, that would NEVER had slid on Cartoon Network Fridays). Ass I was saying though (I think that's a good butt joke), it's a pretty good episode, minus the lame attempt at butt humor.

"Operation T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G" - Have to say I liked this one. I remember someone speculating that this episode would feature Tommy, and it did, quite nicely I might add. Although I liked his two crew mates better. Lee, the mostly quiet one with the Yo-Yo of usefullness, and Sonya, who first appeared to be a scared shy girl but then turned to have more heart and strength then you would expect. I liked the return of Father too, and those Ice Cream guys. (Guess they're the offical henchmen of the Delightful Children Family. They appeared in "I.C.E-S.C.R.E.A.M" and "F.L.A.V.O.R" and probably other eps, just in different costumes probably). Good to see the three recurits were able to stop them though. I'm also glad that KND has grown into the show where we don't even need to see the 5 regular operatives in it to have a good episode. As Lee would say, Cool.

The preview for next episode looked good.

Chad's back!

Another pair of good episodes for KND.

Poor Nigel really got his butt handed to him.. So basically the crew fed him to the enemy's trap unintentionally and was being framed for his butt. I was wondering why he quit, but then we saw the reason, and the KND gang helped him out when it counted. The overuse of butt jokes got old.. really quickly.. I give "OPERATION B.U.T.T." a C+.
I didn't catch much of the other episode, but obviously it was focusing on some cadets of KND, and how they went from a simulation to the real thing. It was nice to see different kids given the spotlight.. It worked pretty well from what I saw.. "OPERATION T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G." gets a C+.

B.U.T.T. was funny. But I was a little disappointed with the other one. No #'s 1-5 at all.
4/5 overall.

"Hi, I got here late..." --- They Might Be Giants, last weekend's ep of Home Movies.
That's by way of apologizing for bringing this thread back, though it was only one page back. Now to the episode for last Friday, before it becomes this Friday.
Blackmail Uncovers Titanic Tush, written by the usual and storyboarded by Arndt w/ Schmal.
First, I must say that from seeing the previews, I was not looking forward to this one. It continued the myth of #1's roomy rolling rear end from B.R.I.E.F. It's so obvious that his is not the biggest, if anyone's is it would be #2's I also remembered #3 sneaking peeks at his patoot and wondering what #4 and / or Lizzie would say. Then there was the Rainbow Monkey underwear, *shudder* . But I gave this a chance and I'm glad I did.
We start with #1 in a Star Chamber-type gag, apparently being judged and executed by his teammates. #3 coming to his defense I guess wasn't that unexpected, but I was surprised. I was reminded of Isabel defending John in the early chapters of Beau Geste, but I digress.
We see the continuity from earlier episodes here. When he went to the beach in F.U.G.I.T.I.V.E. it was strictly business, he declined in C.O.L.L.E.G.E. because of business, and in B.E.A.C.H. it finally came out that he really doesn't like going to the beach. I wonder why; maybe it'll come out in a future episode, or in a fan fic or two at least. Although if he wasn't averse before, this episode would do it to him.
I wonder how often that happens, a crab snatching someone's trunks. And why didn't he just stay under and swim up the beach until he found a place that was relatively deserted?
We now cut to the treehouse, where #3 and #4 are playing video games; I think #3 is winning. Those two are so cute together. #2 mentions that #1 won't be able to come back without them knowing due to the bug he'd planted in #1's trunks. The set-up here is obvious.
#1 resigning? That came out of nowhere. Apparently he found something incriminating in his room. And now #3, who from the time #1 showed up didn't make sense, continues not making sense, to the point where it's getting annoying. And now #4 makes those adorable puppy dog eyes, which is understandable; I get the feeling #1 is #4's idol.
#4 tries to make #3 feel better by playing with her and yet another of her legion of stuffed animals, this one names Mr. Flopsy Wopsy. It doesn't work; like the song says, you always hurt the one you love.
#2 talking about #1's big bottom, I'm sorry, I just can't get past this. Look who's talking. And here he comes with those cheesy one-liners guaranteed to annoy #5, get to the bottom, big section in the rear, turn the other cheek, well, #5 finally has enough of that and leaves.
What's #1 doing at the DCFDTL's mansion? Oh, I guess they were the ones who blackmailed him. I guess they just happened to be on that boat. Deal? What deal? They're going to delightfulize him, like the party guests in D.A.T.E.? Maybe even make him one of them? And what's with that army of mechanical crabs? Oh, I get it now. They somehow knew that #1 was going to the beach, which he hated, so they planted one of their, yes, they just called them a robo-crab army, they must have planted a robo-crab to take advantage of #1's situation, then they plan to exploit the situation, ultimately crippling the KND, or at least this sector thereof.
Then #1's teammates crash the party; they've had plenty of experience at this. #1 was doing pretty well against that robo-crab army, but there were just too many of them. Rainbow Monkey underwear? Folding his underwear was one thing, but this?!? Well, he did sit through both Rainbow Monkey movies in M.O.V.I.E., although everyone but #4 did.
And now the DCFDTL get pantsed. They got it in the end, oh, I'm sorry, #2 probably already used that one. Is there one that he didn't use? And while the others laugh, #5, being the loyal friend of #1 that she is, defends him as long as she can, until she too - in the fine tradition of Mary Tyler Moore - submits to the giggles.
And we close the episode on a bittersweet note; #1 acknowledges that they won't be together forever. Well, maybe after the last of them has turned teen, they can reunite. Hey, it could happen. #1 taking no chances did get a smile, and I still say his bottom's not that big.
I'll be back later today with my thoughts on T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G. Cy'all.

It's me again. Let's get to T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G.
Oops, I missed the credits and the acronym when I taped this thing. Maybe tvtome has it. Oh well, I'm the only one who cares. let's get to it.
So the top secret training base is not in the Antarctic, but the Arctic. Directly underneath the Christmas tree at the North Pole yet, it would seem. Did anyone see that coming? With 42 levels, it's second only to the moonbase in import, especially with the recent addition of the top security vault containing the code module. But why are there two #44s guarding it?
We're introdued to training officer, #60; and to his latest charges, cadets Sonya, Tommy, and Lee. Sonya seems to be a bit of fluff, and we know not to believe what we see. Lee, well, there doesn't seem to be anything distinguishing about him but his yo-yo. This is an excellent sequel to E.N.D., showing what happens to #2's brother Tommy with his training and all. I'm sure we all look forward to seeing what more happens here.
Anyway, just as the cadets are about to start a Level 1 Adult Attack Simulation, an S.O.S. comes in from the moonbase regarding an attack by Father. Well, we saw his children in the other episode, why not. But since when is #86 on communications? I thought she was head of decommissioning. Maybe she inherited it when Chad turned teen; he used to run the whole thing yet he was on comms in F.U.G.I.T.I.V.E. That was a cool pod that #60 had, and apparently there were many of them.
Well, left alone, the cadets start the simulation. In no time they're up to Level 2. Apparently Sonya is an expert in hopscotch, a talent she puts to good use. Now they're up to Level 3, but wait, are those the ice cream guys who serve the DCFDTL and Father, from the Tasty Taste company? They are!
Yes, it's Father, with beaucoups ice cream guys backing him up, like he needs the army. And he can not only disguise his voice, he can morph! Is there no beginning to this guy's talents, I mean, well, you know what I mean.
The slang term 'cool' is too obvious here, just too obvious. But I love this running gag about Father's fire activating the sprinkler system.
Sonya gripes about being taken to a dark room, and the ice cream guy holding her - his name is Phil - learns that she really REALLY doesn't like the dark. So do the others. I kind of feel sorry for those guys.
Wait, Father gives out Christmas bonuses? Well, not this year, not for that guy.
Sonya goes psycho. Anyone remember Muzzle from Road Rovers? And there's the escape pods. And no we have the cliched aspirations of the new guard seizing their opportunity to save the day, and the cliched switching of roles from earlier.
We see Lee's talents with the yo-yo. I'm reminded of Duncan from Detention, a forgettable series that ran for 13 eps on the KWB in '98.
You'd think that as Father was planning this thing, it might have occurred to him, this place is solid ice! I'd better cool it with the fire, might lead to an accident. Nicknames for him, btw, are fireface and matchstick. Hmm, Pictures of Matchstick Men, but I digress.
An autograph book, including #362's autograph. Remember her from F.U.G.I.T.I.V.E.? We thought she ran the place; maybe she does.
And anyone else notice #60 came back in a different vehicle?
Well, like I said, we look forward to more, and we'll get it, in two days. Cy'all then.

Oh, and Nftnat? You may want to try something called Edit, Copy and Paste to ensure you don't double post. Okay?

Edit, Copy, Paste, okkay, got it. You'd think as long as I've been around these boards I'd know my way around by... wait, WHAT double post?
Oh, one more thing. Someone mentioned the possibilities of Tommy & Sonya or Sonya and Lee hooking up. I'm leaning toward Sonya & Lee myself. Why? Well, I'm not a fan of Harry Potter, but I do know enough to know that despite Harry being the star, Hermione's hooking up with Ron. I see something similar happening here. Besides, I've had thoughts of Tommy hooking up with Moshi, #3's sister. No reason why, I've just thought that.

I'm talking about the one you made for your otherwise excellent review. You made one post for "B.U.T.T" and one for "T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G" and if there's no space between them (like another person's post) that is called double posting. But I'm assuming you know this, being around much longer then I have.

Moshi is going to reappear again (I believe in upcoming episode "K.A.S.T.L.E"), and that would be a pretty good coupling. Hmmm, if Moshi joins this younger KND, who would be a good 5th member to add to the crew?
