I've been doing some speculation, and I've finally come up with a deduction.

The new logo designed for Cartoon Network is only for broadcast. I mean, it makes sense since the DVD releases for later this year all have the old logo, and the website still retains its original emblem. Maybe next year, it'll expand to all divisions of Cartoon Network, or it'll stay the same.

I don't think they'll ever totally abandon their old logo. Its really good.

I liked the old logo, but after 12 years, it's time for a change. I think most of the next logos will just be different variations of the original, like the new one.

The old logo was completely perfect in everyway.

I'm kinda sad they changed it. Oh well, not that big of a deal I suppose.

I know that more people like the original better. However, I like the updated logo better (it was time for a little change), though the font used for the name of the network is the same as the original logo. I don't think the network will completely abandon the original (they still throw in the original logo on the half-hour ads, especially during Saturday AM and sometimes in the noon hours..though it could have been an error on CN's part).

why in the world did you bump this up?

This is a 5 month thread and its old. They changed it for the better. Its not even new anymore, its been up for half a year. The old logo is not dead. For advertising its still the same logo.
