I must admit, Pabs, I had no conception of what you might look like. I really have nothing that I can say in response to it being revealed. Mostly I'm trying to pin down your exact ethnicity. I suspect something in the broad category of East Asian, but I really can't tell.

These for images generally represent how I appear in the winter time, although with the exception of Rasputin, the plain shirt I'm wearing under the coat is not something I'd wear in winter, a plaid, flannel vestment is more typical.

God, that is such a wicked beard. Though moustache area needs a working.

How do you manage to keep it clean?

I grew an impressive beard, but it was getting to me. Mainly because food got stuck in it, and people around me acted like I was a sexual deviant.

SSJPabs, you look Vietnamese.
(I'm not very good at this, my Asian friends get pissed of at me, but honestly I can't tell the differences between different groups of asians).

Nightflower, you look extremly pretentious....that's a compliment. (I would use the stick out tongue smilie, but it's too pansy looking and I'm insecure about my masculinity).

man, I still can't get over that beard.

I've always had some odd problems with hair growth. I used to have a bald spot on the bottom of my chin, it's still a little thin down there. The moustache never really seems to click and it's a real pain to eat sandwiches (and I do love sandwiches). Cleanliness has never been a great problem (keeping my curly, unweildy hair in check is), although I do tend to get food caught in it. Fortunately, I'm quick with a napkin.

People actually like my beard a lot, and so do I. Last year I shaved it off at the beginning of May and almost no one (myself included) liked it, a few even half-mockingly refused to talk to me until it grew in some. My dad, of course, didn't even notice that I had shaved until three hours after he first saw me clean shaven when a friend of mind ran across us in a grocery store and commented upon my hairless look.

For the record, the Floral Mod is of course, correct in that I am 100% hispanic. So while I probably have Asian ancestors some 30,000 years ago the apple falls quite far from the tree. I realize that since it was the only real document of the physical appearance of a lot of TZers it was a very, very important thread to have around and pretty much the worst one I could have possibly screwed up. First thought that came to mind for me was, Irish.
Well, I am a quarter ó Flannagáin on my mother's side (also a quarter MacLean). They don't look it now, but my parents, including my almost purely Pennsylvania German father, had red hair.

I've been posting in this thread an awful lot, but I could scarcely resist posting this picture from my visit to my living accomodations for my sophomore year at college (I somehow procured a spacious private room in the quiet hall). And this is, of course, exactly what happened while I was there.

Quick story... some of the kids that I worked with would meet after hours from time to time to go bowling... I showed up one evening in some of what I consider my more street wear, complete with bandana. Two of the kids (again, whom I had been working with for months) didn't recognize me for about 4 or 5 minutes. I was standing right next to them, in the group, as it were, and they kept sorta giving me side-long glances. Sort of, "who is this chick, and why is she standing here?" Finally Charles took a solid look at me, did an honest to goodness double-take and figured out who I was.

To be fair, they were used to my more proper office-type attire.

Origin of "hoser" for me, comes from northern Wisconsin, where my buddy Ryan, Beef, and others hail from. They brought this word from lands around Green Bay and made me chuckle.

It's definately made in a joking, slug your friend in the shoulder, kinda way. Never did ask them what the definition of the word was tho... 0_o

I'm probably not the first person to suggest this (or at least think of this), but has it ever been considered to make a member photos section somewhere on this board? I think it would go well on the home page of this message board. Just a place where you can click on something that says "member photos" and then there's this photo album that shows up. Then, you clan click on the pictures to make them larger, or just click on the member's name of the photo section and their photo comes up.

PS you're not so bad yourself ;).Yeh, once you start working out, you tend to lose your appetite. Especially me. This year I took summer school P.E. to have a early start in my Freshman year and it was a pain in the ass. Six hours of non-stop workout. Starting with military drills for 30-45 minutes. Then straight to running the mile. Flexibility, swimming, extreme frisbee, basketball, hockey, more miliatary drills, and swimming all in a matter of 6 hours. I thought I would never come out alive. I had to force myself to eat, because during that time despised food.

That is not a pose, but a genuine post-break action shot. My friend in blue is a Tae Kwan Do guy and so is the guy in the back of the first picture. So, they've these boards lying around that we decided to break. Guy up behind in the first picture is not to be trifled with either. It's actually *kinda* easy to break these boards when someone's holding them like my friend is... what's hard is a "speed break" where the guy up top would hold it himself with one hand, with the bottom of the board unbraced and punch with the other hand.

Supreme speed and concentration breaks the board and Shabin (the guy's name) made it look easy.

Gimme some credit, Guin.... I wouldn't fake the funk. :p

If there's anything to be made fun of in the picture, it's my big honkin' cellphone.... :sad:

I did not grow up in Chicago or anything I was just transplanted there. It was fun though. I was able to get into all kinds of clubs and stuff and I do not turn 21 for another month. :D

And CK, if that's a mustache I'm seeing.. lose it! Dad-blang friends didn't tell me that teenagers aren't suppose to have 'staches and I went through my whole high school career with one. So as a friend that I didn't have back then, I'm tellin' ya to shave the 'stache so you don't have to get chided by your friends later in life saying things like, "Ha! Mustache Man!" :D

CK, keep the stache. I started getting mine in 8th grade, and occasionally I shaved it, but I like it. I've never been made fun of 'cause of my stache from my friends. Many of my friends have staches already, but I got one of the most visible. It's great though, the stache ages me quite a bit. With my stache, some people think I'm 18, 19, 20, or even 21. I find it hard to believe because of my height. I'm only 5'6.:sad:
