Damn. By EEE episodic, I thought they meant in volumes with episodes in order. =(

Glad to see more SJ sets on the way. I still need to get the first, but with the lack of air time lately, I definitely need a shot of Jack.

I wonder if they'll bring it back to help advertise the DVDs.

I'm with you on that Paq. How do they actually determine what is worthy under "best of"?

I would assume either ratings or creator/staff picks.

EEE 'Best Of' Volume 1
MEGAS Season 1Ed, Edd, n' Eddy: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

MEGAS: Yay!

How do they actually determine what is worthy under "best of"?
Step 1: Take dartboard.
Step 2: Pin episode titles onto said dartboard.
Step 3: Throw darts onto said dartboard.
Step 4: Pick out episode titles that were hit by dart.
Step 5: Go through Hell looking through episodes and cutting them up for DVD release.

Why is Hi Hi PuffyAmiYumi Season 1 coming out sooner than MEGAS? HHPAY isn't even on TV yet.

I would assume that it being in Flash and being produced slightly faster than the traditional shows would give it that edge.

Aw, EEnE in season sets would've been nice.

Oh well.

Darn, I would have much rather had season sets of Ed, Edd, n' Eddy than 'best of' set. Whats 'best of' to the creators may not be 'best of' to me. Oh well, at least its coming out on DVD.

Maybe the more SJ dvds out will maybe get more episodes to be produced. A Xmas dvd and more Halloween, sounds good to get sales from kids.

As long as the EEE DVD has episodes from season 3&4, I'm happy (the first season wasn't that all good). And KND sounds pretty good. Why didn't they release the eps in seasons?

Because EEE and KND dvds specifically target kids, not the collectors. Also I'd rather not see season 1 of EEE release. Rather it should be burned and forgotten, and just start from season 2.

Before anyone asks, don't bother asking about Duck Dodgers. That, and Justice League, are completely up to Warner Bros and chances are they will be announced on their own time. Try Comic Con.

CN must have a lot of confidence that Hi Hi PuffyAmiYumi will be a hit if they already have plans to release it on DVD before it even airs on TV. Sheesh, CN, at least release the shows you KNOW people want instead of taking such a gamble...

Megas season set= good.

Good, they're going to go through with seasons 2 and 3 of Jack. Even if CN never plans on airing the final 4, at least we'd get them on DVD.

I wish the Megas dvd would come out sooner....I'm impatient...

I was hoping for Eds season sets but oh, well... Hmm, why is it I can see myself buying PuffyAmiYumi knowing hardly anything about the show?

I really don't care for EEnE season 1 either, but I'd still like season releases. I hope the DVDs have some good extra features outside of subtitles and interactive menu screens...

At least we'll have most of Samurai Jack out by the end of next year. Hopefully the Season 4 set won't be the first time we see the final episodes.

You must be confused. HiHiPuffyAmiYumi will be on TV in just a few months. The DVD release will be over a year from now. In case you haven't noticed, this thread is titled "CN Home Video Releases for 2005."

These "Best Of" discs should be put in cereal.

I will get Magas and Puffy if the price and features are right.

The Puffy AmiYumi DVD will look good sitting next to my "Nice" and "An Illustrated Collection" CDs. :)

Woo! More Samurai Jack! There had better be more commentaries! (Even though I know there won't be.)

And Megas finally out on DVD! WaiWai! I hope this DVD has the LowBrow pilot (probably will) and commentaries (probably 2 episodes max).

Can someone please remind me how many produced and finished seasons Samurai Jack has in total?

I suppose it's only natural to assume that sales for SJ: Season one were moderate to strong for the network to go through with the release of the rest of the series. Are there any specific dates as of now on their release?

And is there any new indication of wrapping up not only the season, but the series?

Thanks

Actually, I meant they have DVD plans before the show is out. Weird that they'd make plans to release the show on DVD without even knowing whether the viewers will like it or not, especially considering there are plenty of shows CN knows would sell well on DVD.

That's the same point I tried to make with one of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim Releases.

Assuming Seasons II & III will have 13 episodes each, there will be four volumes and 52 episodes by the end.

EEE 'Best Of' Volume 1

Q3 2005

Kids Next Door 'Best Of' Volume 2 (Vol 1 in Fall 2004)
Hi Hi PuffyAmiYumi - Season 1
CN Halloween #2

Q4 2005

Samurai Jack - Season 3
MEGAS - Season 1
CN Christmas #2Well, I'll be collecting all of these. I would like to see more shows getting tries in the near future heck, why not now?

I don't want to post two in a row, so I'll just say now that these releases will be much like the Powerpuff Girls "Best Of" releases, even though we got four of those in about a year. Good thing they won't be called "The Best of 'Show.'"
