I think "hope". I have a lot of hope for the future. Particularly, my future. Right now, I would say things are going not so good for me.

Conundrum
One day before class a friend and I were trying to use it in a sentence without laughing, and it was hard:p

I was at a friend's house a while ago and their little 4 or 5-year-old son wanted to play a "game" where you say big words (I think he wanted to show off his expanding vocabulary more than anything), and he started with mountain, or something like that. So I threw antidisestablishmentarianism at him. He just got this funny look on his face. :p

Quite possibly "hahahahaha!" Especially in response to [GOB and] the words Delthyre throws out at us. brings me back to my brief stint as a hellenophile.
but seriously, um, "chronology" is a good word. As is that word I can only think of in french. Um... you know, delta d devided by delta t. starts with v. :) well, you know the one. I refuse to look it up.
Oh, and "impertinent," as in, "actively not pertaining to."
I don't have favourite word outright as I tend to go through phases (don't we all) but one of my faves since childhood is 'cackleberry' which is what my uncle calls an egg.
Strangely my American friend always tries to get me to say 'banana' out loud as apparently the Brit pronunciation is hilarious! :p

one of my faves since childhood is 'cackleberry' which is what my uncle calls an egg.My grandfather would call them that, too. Kinda cute and corny at the same time.
So, have any 'buh-nah-ner' on your cereal this morning? ;)
For some reason I now have the word 'derrigible' on the brain, it sounds so funky.

The word I was thinking of, or trying to think of, is "velocity." As distinguished from speed. Though I do like going fastly more than having a high velocity!
But now that I think about it, it's definitely not my favorite word. Good, though.
I'll change my answer to, oh, I don't know, "arbitrary," and any related words. (this is reminding me of a recent similar thread...)
Cackleberry?! interesting! Dirigable? Wow. That's one of those words that activates the etymology section of my brain, which is now telling me that it is related to the french word, "diriger," meaning to direct, guide, lead, etc. In other words, it's able or meant to be steered. Thanks, Rune! That was fun. :D

it is related to the french word, "diriger," meaning to direct, guide, lead, etc.Or "dirige," the non-verb form of the word, you weirdo. ;) As in, 'dirige mon poing remplis de neige vers ta tête pour du vrai POW action!' (does anyone say that...in so many words?)

Another one for the "sick freak" file.
As of late my favorite word has been "tranny," as in transsexual. I have been listening to way too much Jim Norton on O&A and I now find any excuse to use that word. It cracks me up.

Mine is "Sugarlips." I don't like to swear, so I use "replacement words." One day, I got really upset about something and I kept myself from saying one thing and "sugarlips" came out of my mouth. It drew laughs, but it stuck.
