One of the better episodes this season. Good stuff, for a second there I thought they were making Peanut gay with the looking at guys in the magazine, then I got the villain bit. Heh.

Birdman needs to be more this and less the last few weeks.

A good amount of the jokes worked, nothing really felt forced, the case got a decent amount of time (not so much it wore thin but enough that it didn't feel like an afterthought), and characters weren't overused (Reducto and Mentok both had funny scenes without being too much). Also the sex jokes were funny without coming off as "LOL SEX JOKE". edit: except when Phil was humping Auggie saying "I'M THE ALPHA MALE". That was an "LOL SEX JOKE" level gag.

Still, best episode in awhile

See it's funny because it's similar to what a gay man would go through during puberty but it's not exactly the same because um... I...

This episode wasn't horrible, pretty damn good, it had its great moments especially with the Superfriends and with the two dogs whose names I forget. I think they should have tuned down the maturbation and "discovering your self" parts just a tad.

This is one of the best ones this year. They did a better job with all of the sexual stuff this week than what they did last week, especially with Black Vulcan's talk about his first time. In his pants.

Great reference to an earlier episode with Apache Chief!

Whoever it was who did Doggy Daddy's voice sounded like a dead-on impersonation of Cab Calloway. I don't know if he was the original voice of him, but I know he did Hong Kong Phooey. Poor Augie, now he's the master! :p

I like these season and the early and last few ones of the earlier season.

But this episode was, like, wow, would've been excellant writing, with a tight plot, didn't rely off cheap gay jokes, barely even got into that outside of the whole hero/villian thing where they didn't really focus on the genders

-BUT that thing with the alpha male. Some dark humor I can take, but that pushes it a bit, even if Sebbin was only acting that he was commiting rape on Goggie Daddy, still was acting it out.

Bad enough SGC2C filled an entire episode of it. The last, unpolished one that was supposed to be based on the bantering in a writers' meeting, but I hope more are like that.

This stank like rotting chicken steeping in a bucket of whale vomit baking on the side of a Texas highway in 107-degree summer heat.

Where do you start? Where's the pacing? Where's the logic? Geez, even "random" stuff like ATHF have some ground rules and even some restraint. HBAAL? No. Enclosed in this episode please find more lame sub-Sealab sex jokes, a "B" plot that doesn't get off the ground except as an excuse for Phil to act weird, which was OK in "Blackwatch Plaid" but here feels forced.

The Peanut stuff. . .well, I'm sure people will find it funny, but not me. I'm sure the fact that "Oh it's was just implied they were talking about puberty, but they meant the superhero" thing was meant to be High Komedy with a side order of Ayarnee (and oh, weren't the parallels between the two plots so hysterically Freudian? No? Hey, I didn't either.) but you couldn't tell the sloppy way it rolled off the line. All these recurring characters they brought back and not one ended up being used funny, or even well.

There were so many other ways to do this and have it be good. Apparently the writers decided every way except "funny" would be the way to go. I'm getting real tired of this "fling a bunch of crap at the wall for 12 minutes (or so) and write down what sticks." It's starting to stink. F-

Thank God. FINALLY a great episode after the various clunkers between "High Speed Buggy Chase" and this. It managed to have some great humor in it, and various sex jokes, and after I realized what his 'first time' would be even before it was even mentioned what his first time was like.

The Auggie Doggie subplot was wonderful, and above all else Harvey Birdman is finally back to form.

I'm getting tired of this show relying so much on sexual innuendo for jokes, but overall, this episode was pretty funny. There were just enough cameos and the screen time was divided evenly between stories. Best line- "Not the crest! That's where my powers come from! I think."

I enjoyed this ep immenssly, the only thing that brought it down for me was the abuse Doggie Daddy had to endure.

Other than that, I found the hero/villain relationship and development as such handled in the way it was , was funny , in my pants. (ok that wasn't funny, that sentence didn't even make sence O_o)
I havn't watched in a while, but I'm glad I caught this one

Best moments:
-Peanut repeatedly pressing the laser in the bathroom stall. Ooooh, the allusions!
-"Just tell me what you want from me!" Then the boss still slams the door in the dog's face.
-X The Exterminator giddy with glee when Birdman called him.
-A return appearance by Black Vulcan, with the line, "I swear that music started playing!"

Overall, a fast-paced show with its share of laughs. No classic, but good enough. B+

You people have not noticed the biggest implied joke of all...

FIGHTING VILLANS DELIVERS THE SAME FEELING AS SEX!

So all these people who think that the Justice League(minus Batman) do things for truth, justice, and all that crap, they're really doing it to get a sexual high by using their super powers, that's why money doesn't matter to them when they do somthing like save the moon from being blow'd up...

I mean the tights and masks, just paint them black and it's S&M
Filthy, filthy, filthy!

HA HA!

STILL don't like what he did (does that mean I shouldn't have enjoyed that? There's humor and there's pushing it, but do I need a better sense of humor or is it moral compass alerting me? ) but I did enjoy other things, like the Superfriends.

IF these various characters get these HB:AAL personas stuck with them when they show up here and there in the future, I hope Apache Chief and Black Vulcan/Supervolt ( or Supervolt/Black Vulcan) have ones simliar to this-

-minus the Apache Chief's idea of alerting boys to super puberty. But at the same time its shows they aren't perfect like normal people.

If anything, Black Vulcan actually IMPROVED with his being sincere about him being nervous and it being beautifull

(ALTHOUGH I'm not promoting pre-marital sex and doing it just for the sake of getting it on, BUT this is Hero/Villian Fighting we're speaking off here-but REPRESENTING sex, so I can't excuse all of it )

-AND I JUST ACCUSED A COMEDY LIKE HB:AAL OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! :p

STILL DO NOT like Sebbin's simulating he was rapping Daddy Doggie, Auggie Daddy using his dad like that, and Blue Falcon's going to a strip joint and bringing along Peanut, hopefully they DON'T get stuck with those personalities after this, HOPEFULLY better sides are shown of them after this.

Great episode! Both plots worked really well. Nice change in pace from the streak of poor to fair episodes.

Hmm, an entertaining episode of Harvey Birdman, definitely a funnier one than the last few weeks. Several hilarious moments, mostly revolving around Peanut's Super Powers emerging.

Funny line to start off the show, "How about Board of Erectors!" and then Harvey having the SuperFriends talk to Peanut.. Apache Chief on Birdman's request, talking to Peanut at the game.. and then showing him the large screen, where two bison mate.. "Charge!" Then Peanut talking to Black Vulcan about his first time, and if it hurt or not. And Harvey asking Batman what he did when the Boy Wonder was coming of age, which lead to the Blue Falcon taking Peanut to the dance club. Harvey asking Reducto to be Peanut's first and then having to go to that guy stalking him, and agreeing to give up his crest for Peanut.. And then Peanut showing up with his new evil buddy, Metallo.. And I knew I had seen that suit of organs that Harvey had put on.. when he caught Peanut.. firing off on villains.. :D

Phil training the dog was alright.. I felt bad, "OK.. JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO.." .. Phil really cracked him, could've gone with out the alpha male humping.. but the marking territory scene at the beginning was pretty funny. Also Mentok with the dog.. was interesting.

I give "Peanut Puberty" an A-.

If Auggie's voice actor is the same guy who did Hong Kong Phooey, that would make him Scatman Crothers [also Jazz in G1 Transformers]. It was an awesome impression because Satman passed away in 1986. :(

I enjoyed this episode. Phil is a sick bastard. I really hope he was dry humping Auggie. Otherwise, damn!!! It was an intersting episode all around, and like many said, better then episodes we've gotten lately. :)

Ok, what Phil was doing to Auggie Doggie was very very wrong.

However, I did enjoy the rest of the episode. Maybe it's because I missed the last few episodes, bu this one seemed funnier then some of the others. I loved all of the Superfriends references. I don't blame Apache Cheif for his fear of hot beverages...

Usually all the innuendo in HB takes away from the plot, but it was pretty funny this time. I like Peanut more in the recent episodes then I did when he was first introduced. Anyway, a pretty good episode except for the Auggie thing.

I could have done without the "I'm the alpha male!" scene, but I thought this was a good episode. Peanut's superhero puberty was funny, and I liked the return of Apache Chief, X, and Black Vulcan ("I swear I heard music playing.") Better than last week's.

No, Doggy Daddy's voice isn't based on Scatman Crothers. I believe it's based on Jimmy Durante (the guy who narrated the original Frosty the Snowman special).

That was one hell of an episode, just the whole thing, the dog was great and the whole superpowers thing was great as well. Black Vulcan was funny, with the music. This is the best of the season for now.
