This is a good episode of Inu...the ending is great and yet heartwarming. Action packed fun with ninjas no less! :)

A pretty cut and dry episode, though I think it had one of the funniest moments I've seen in this series- Inu Yasha chowing down on potato chips (Oh please, Sampo get a screengrab of that!).

This episode proved two things:
1) Don't EVER doubt that Sango needs help to slay demons.
2) We know that Miroku likes having Sango around... just to cop a feel, if nothing more.
Episode 60 in a heartbeat.

I don't see what made them "beautiful" and I've seen better ninjas. Besides that it was worth while.

I'm still trying to figure out if this episode was just filler or if it was actually supposed to advance the plot in some sort of way.

What is that boomerang made of? bone? I thought it was wood but it seemed to be metal here.

Like all demon slayer weapons in this series, Sango's Hiraikotsu is made from demon bone (kotsu=bone).

This was a filler episode. In fact, this was the first "anime-only" episode of the series.

A fun episode that showed Miroku and Sango do have feelings for each other. Tonight it seemed Miroku was using the butt-stroke to keep things with Sango from getting too intimate right there in front of everybody.
Sango put her newly-repaired weapon to one helluva test there and gave a good account of herself. Bu she was on the verge of being overwhelmed when Miroku and the rest showed up. The would-be beautiful apprentices turned out to be just kids, albeit ninja kids.
From here on up to the start of the Shichinintai arc, there'll be mostly filler, but some of those episodes will be good anyway. I'm just happy that AS is keeping the Inuyasha episodes coming. (^_*)

Was Shippo eating one of those Lollypop's with a base that makes it spin? I never knew those were in Japan too.

Kagome brings back some great snack items for Inu Yasha and crew to chow down on while they wait for Sango to return. In the meantime, the Demon Hunter picks up a pair of "beautiful" apprentices. I agree with Youko Recca, they are not "beautiful". Oh well.
Not much else to add to this thread. Its nice to see Sango get another episode pretty much dedicated to her. Watching Sango work that smith to fix her weapon was odd, since others have mentioned that it a bone boomerang... So shouldn't the fire just make it brittle or something? Those two sisters had a little nice backstory, but other than that didn't care much about them.

Xfox, if you really want a screengrab of Inu Yasha chowing down, I can make one if you want. I agree that image is very funny :)
HT, I will post up a link to a sound file later.
Oh yeah why were Inuyasha and the others so happy when they recieved those food and drink items?Uh, because in their era there were no Softdrinks, pototo chips, or candy to eat. So its a great treat when Kagome brings back stuff from her time.
Was Shippo eating one of those Lollypop's with a base that makes it spin? I never knew those were in Japan too. :sweat:Yup, that was what Shippo was eatting/licking. I looked at that and wondered, they went to the trouble to animate that little thing?!

I remember those electic spinny suckers.
I turned one into a lightsabre once.
And by 'lightsabre,' I mean I taped a Tinker Toy to the end of it.

That was good. Nice to have another episode of Sango once in a while. The "ninjas" were so corny it was funny. Anyway, I give it an A.

Good filler episode involving Sango. Least we get to see more of her training and past as a demon slayer.

I've enjoyed this episode and also laughed when Inuyasha, Shippo, and Miroku got excited over Kagome's pack of goodies. :D Sampo, that animated gif of Inuyasha munching on chips is funny!
Miroku, Miroku ... he'll never learn ... I also thought that he would at least hold back his bad habits during Sango's thank you moment at the end of the episode. LOL, I guess not.

You just made my day!
I think Inu-Yasha's in some kind of trance. He must really love potato chips. When I'm tired of Pierre Bernard as my avatar, I'm definitely switching to one of these. Thanks, Sampo!

Great, a Sango episode, it may be filler but it's all good. ****

Filler for sure, and I'm not really sure what the whole point of the episode was, but there was some good action and it was entertaining.
I finally started watching Witch Hunter Robin tonight, and... well, it made Inuyasha look like the greatest show ever. I'll still give it a chance, but IY was kind of like a breath of fresh air compared to the slow-moving, dark, plodding WHR.

It is not bad of an episode, I mean we did not see much of a Sango related episode in at least awhile, but I can say one thing, that is a new thing to me since watching this series.

Kind of late for a pic request, maybe, but just thogut I'd ask anyway. Any chance of getting a screen grab of Sango's reaction to the two ninja kids inhaling the food? That' "whuaaa..." face she had...
Another enjoyable episode of Inuyasha.. I did miss the first 8 minutes though.. It was interesting to see Sango trying to teach those girls the basics of Demon Slaying.. but it was obvious that they were not interested in that powder that she showed them to use to ward off demons, and the idea of making that powder.
It's so funny the scenes where Inuyasha, Shippo and Kagome talk about Miroku and his ways..
Obviously Sango was caught by surprise to find out that they were from a Ninja village, as they got away with hide and bones and weapons from that locked shed, which obviously was locked for a reason.. So basically the girls became beacons for the demons, who come after them, Sango convinces them what their father really meant by saying "Be strong".. it was a nice moment as Sango thought of her own father. And then right when it looked like there were just too many demons for Sango to fight and protect the girls, Miroku and co. come to save the day.. I was actually surprised to see more than just Miroku, it was nice to see the whole group care for Sango and help out.. and Inuyasha unleash another windscar. The girls learned their lesson and then Sango hears of Miroku worrying about her, so when she comes over blushing, the sly dog goes back to his old tricks and gives her butt a nice rub.
I give "Beautiful Sister Apprentices" an A.
I'm looking forward to the next episode.. Looks interesting.

I'm looking forward to the next episode.. Looks interesting.
It is, next week starts one of my favorite arcs, the Tsubaki arc.
This was a filler episode. In fact, this was the first "anime-only" episode of the series.
That it was, and there more on the way. About half of the next 40 episodes are anime-only filler (63-65,68,72,75-79,89-101).

1. Kagome should really bring back for Miroku a psych-help book about fetishes. :D
2. I thought Kilala could also breathe fire?
3. Once again, the youngest girl is given to 14-y.o. Brittney Wilson (Maylu in Megaman NT), even though her voice is the deepest of them all.
4. The only thing missing here was, for all the anxiety Sango put them through, Miroku didn't even get "a good look" at the ninja girls. ;) :anime:
(They're not "beautiful," so they should appreciate the attention, ne?)
Watching Sango work that smith to fix her weapon was odd, since others have mentioned that it a bone boomerang... So shouldn't the fire just make it brittle or something?
Demon bones are magical.

Meh. You figure by now Miroku would learn Sango doesn't like getting her butt tapped.
B-, if only because running gags become boring after a certain point. (At the very least, he'd be smarter about it)

I caught the tail end of this one, and for some reason the Voice acting by all the characters seemed really off in this one. I usually have no complaints for the majority of the cast, bu in this one they all sound like they were over-acting or forcing their lines.
and the sisters' voices should have been flipped.

These episodes seem to be pretty smooth these last few weeks. I hope it keeps up for awhile.

overzealous kids with traumatic past try to get close to hero only to want to surpass them, they make a fatal mistake and the heroes save their butts while kids learn a valuable lesson, sounds like the plots of the first four One Piece movies, still I'm kind of upset, if these were ninjas why didn't they have forehead protectors or use any kind of Jutsu? oh wait these were real ninjas, authentic ninjas, and if there's one thing a show about a girl from the future travelling back in time and falling for a human/demon hybrid with pointy dog ears should strive for it's accuracy

He did that to lighten the mood. He's a typical guy, fearful of commitment to anything but Sports & TV. :P
For some reason, the fact that Miroku knows how to drink soda is funny to me. Then again, he was able to ride Kagome's bike 5 seconds after seeing it for the first time.

Late post, but here we go anyway. Good episode for a filler. If this is the first anime only episode, then was Stone Flower, Shippo's First Love, in the manga? That's a waste.
I agree the only thing "beutiful" about thease aprentices was... the fact that they were ninja's. ..Better than nothin'.Meh. You figure by now Miroku would learn Sango doesn't like getting her butt tapped.
B-, if only because running gags become boring after a certain point. (At the very least, he'd be smarter about it) Well, it wouldn't be Miroku without that. He'd loose part of himself. He'd never be the same. ..and I mean when Sango's... uh, ungaurded.. and... she's a little... uh, distracted.. who could resist...

Just a random comment - I was checking out adultswim.com for a clip from the upcoming episode, and for some reason found the accompanying text rather amusing:
"Watch in this unbelievable, action-packed clip as Kagome distributes snacks to her friends. Cookies! Potato chips! Lunch from mom! There's also something vaguely dramatic about shards turning black...but what up with InuYasha and those potato chips?! He pretends to be happy, but to us it looks like he may secretly be counting carbs...."
I don't think it's really a 'spoiler', but better to be safe than sorry. Anyway. Thought I'd share. o_-;
