Well I hope nobody did this thread yet. Well what I thought of Trigun great show. A real let down that my favorite character dies. Wolfwood of course.

it proved itself to me! like alot of AS animes its not really adult but has no better place to go so here it is! I like almost all the episodes but its pretty hard for me to rewatch unlike Bebop so every other other run I can take but not over and over so the long break they gave it helped :) http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif

A decent show..... best I've seen on Adult Swim. (cowboy bebop is disqualified due to its lack of a plot)

Good show, I like it. I missed the first few runs so I'm kinda playing catch-up now.

I thought it was pretty good. Liked the Futuristic Old West setting and the animation was fairly fluid with diverse character designs. To be honest, I think a second season would've worked with Trigun but it was good enough.

I've been real hooked on it lately. (Probably gonna start getting the manga soon.) Vash requested a change in my avatar style. and... I didn't want to disagree with the Humanoid Typhoon. Ususally, I never seem to like main characters well, but I think Vash goes down as my favorite main character of all time.

Im not a big fan of the show myself, and i'll tell you why.
I think that Vash's voice is annoying, compared to the origional.( i own the entire series, the japanese ver.)But other than that its a good show.

It's a little above average. Really good in some parts and braindead in others. One of the best first episodes and "Paradise" was one to remember alright.

I didn't like it when it first aired some time ago (perhaps because of the hype this show first got), but after re-watching this show because of all the re-runs, I've come to like this show...strange...
I don't think I've ever done a 180 like this with any other show before...
I thought that Trigun was a great show. I enjoyed Trigun very much (I have just seen the series about 20 times). But my favorite charaters are Wolfwood and Legeto Bluesummers.
Buy the DVD set!:D

Really overrated.
While I agree that the last 10 episodes or so are good, it doesn't make up for the first 15 or so horrible episodes. Why do so many animes have no sense of pacing? I mean, why do so many animes have to have 15 episodes where absolutely nothing happens and then have 10 episodes of great story?

Not as much but, they were still good episodes.

I'm fond enough of the pre-Wolfwood episodes, although I have to admit they're really nothing special. Just enjoyable. But when it picks up around the time Wolfwood comes in, it becomes a truly great show.
That first bunch of episodes does serve a purpose, though: it establishes themes and various little clues to who Vash is. The clip show kind of explains that. It would've been nice, though, if they had interspersed a little more of the main plot in those early episodes.
By the way, Geneon is re-releasing the Trigun DVDs. They look like the old ones, except they have a little stripe at the top that says "Signature Series" (similar to "Player's Choice" or "Greatest Hits" on video games) and are copyright 2004. At Suncoast, the old DVDs are $30 each and the new ones are $20 each. I'm assuming they're even further on sale at other stores. If they release a boxed set with the same percentage price drop, I'm all over it.

I liked it a lot. It really got better when Wolfwood arrived in the picture. I wished there were more episodes of him. I never finished the series collection-wise because of the price, but now that it's like 20 bucks I could finish it if I want to.
Only flaws was the ending (somewhat) and Vash. Yeah Vash is a great character, but seeing him whine, cry, and always get his way like some child is rather annoying.

Yeah Vash is a great character, but seeing him whine, cry, and always get his way like some child is rather annoying. It could be that Vash has an unbelieveable urge to keep everyone alive because of Rem's teachings. He thought that no one ever had to die, but he finds out that people will die inevitably die anyway. He finds this out and doesn't let himself be tortured because he thought he could have done something to prevent it. He learns that things happen and that life will go on.

I tend to see more bad in the series than good, but it is a cute show. I think Inuyasha, Bebop, Wolf's Rain, FLCL, and this may be an unpopular comment but Blue Gender are better shows, but this is still a pretty good series.

Come to think of it, I wish they had stretched the series to 52 episodes. There seems to be plenty of Gung Ho Guns backstory to go around. That probably would've made it a near-perfect show.
I liked the show, but I absolutely hate the ending. Let me rephrase that...I like the last episode a lot, I just don't think it makes a good ending in that the plot (in my opinion) wasn't really resolved.

Yeah, I suppose I'd agree with that, as long as you exclude the final episode of Blue Gender. I really never cared for FLCL though. It really didn't seem to have much of a plot despite the fact that it takes watching the show 10 times to fully understand the plot.
