The newest Inuyasha opening theme premiered along with episode 154 today. The song is "Angelus" (I can't help but think of Buffy/Angel when I see that title) by Hitomi Shimatani (not the same Hitomi who sang "I Am") Here's a link to D/L it: http://inuyasha-info.virtue.nu/download.html.

Note: There are some spoilers in it, since it's about 100 episodes ahead of the US airings, so beware.

EDIT: The song was pretty good, the visuals were awesome. I'm glad that this OP only had a little flash of Kouga. I loved the scenes from previous points in the series. The sneak peak of the Kongosoha was also pretty spiffy. Much like the current ED, it had a feel of finality to it. I liked it and it's a little odd to think that this is most likely the last new OP the show will ever have.

Hmmm, seems like the semi elegiac tone the ed's have been taking has not crossed over to the op's yet.

Interesting Note- BounceBack was also Nami Tamaki's back up band on the fourth Gundam Seed op.

I really, really HATE that music. The visuals are great. It just soounds/looks like someone made a music video to some very bad music. Bleh.

A bunch of the MP4 files from http://asf.toonamiarsenal.com/ do not play correctly, it's flashing the first frame a LOT.

Downloading 3ivX or VLC will make the flashy go away.

...but I'm gonna reencode everything in .mp4 format to Sorenson this afternoon anyway :(

The original plan WAS "No.", but when we saw "okay" on our end, other people were seeing "seizure crap".
We didn't test the .mp4 files correctly, and they acted stupid.

Short story: QuickTime's current MPEG-4 implementation blows, 3ivx is better. (I want my QuickTime 7 with H.264)
3ivX takes over MPEG-4 decoding in QuickTime and makes everything pretty, but we don't want that to be "required".

All the .mp4 files on ASF have been replaced with Sorenson 3 .mov versions.

All the .mp4 files on ASF have been replaced with Sorenson 3 .mov versions.Except the Wolf's Rain opening, which wasn't :p

I'm using the most recent version of Quicktime on Win2000 and I didn't get any of that seizure stuff others mentioned. It looked really nice too, too bad it has to go :o
