This series seems to be picking up a little, although there still seemed to be a little wasted time. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it well enough. *** out of *****

Well I can say this one was a bit of a good one but not much detail in this, but it seems they are on thier way to paradise and that seems most reasonable this series is onlt going to get a bit better, hoply so I give this episodes grade a B+ for tonight.

Keeps getting better. Tsume still needs a change of clothes...

Good episode. At least we see the story make progress. So far Tsume is my favorite character. But you never know things change. Is it just me or does Hinge's VA, is the same as Shobu in Duel Masters.

This episode definetly has to be one of the better ones as of late and it seems that the plot is finally moving.Pretty good eppy. And rofl @ hinge!! That was too hilarious how he thought he was too high class for the bars! heh. And yes, Hinge is the same VA as Shobu in duel masters, Kazi in Dual!, Tai in Digimon, Knives in Trigun, Akira in Akira, and the list goes on and on and on.

Anyway this was a good epsoide. I found out what mutton is thanks to this epsoide. Still what wonders where will they end up next.

I'm a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure

We get her back next week, and doing a hell of a lot more than just laying there sedated

Although I might be off by an episode or two.

Glad to see the complaints calming down after the last couple of episodes, which I think pretty much everyone agrees are the best the series has had to offer thus far. Wolf's Rain is not the type of show for people who want a fast moving and complicated plot, but as the last 2 weeks have shown, the show is quite good when it comes to characters and mood.

I was glad to see the wolf pack finally on the road to their Paradise (or so they think). It was nice to watch the characters develop further. I like this show. It's not slam-bang action but still very compelling.

Mutton, by the way, is the meat of a mature sheep. It sorta tastes like a sheep smells. They eat a lot of it in Australia and England. (^_*)

I'm consistantly happy with this show, so I've no complaints for this week. :)

However, I guess I was jumping the gun a bit when I mentioned the humans knowing about the wolves' disguises... From the way they were talking, it seems as though the city-pack's leader (whose name escapes me) arranges the wolf-human relationship on the human end, and the wolves in their true forms just show up to work. Or are 'captured'... Or something. Anyway, just mentioning it, since some of the humans didn't seem to know about the wolves' double-life - and heck, maybe they even really do think they're just catching big dogs. All just assumptions, though. n_n;

Hige: Food!!
Everyone else: Paradise!!

This is basically what I'm hearing a lot in these last six episodes. Looks like Hige's constant search for food finally get's him in some serious trouble  . Tsume has to be the most developed character in the series so far, you hardly got a chance to know about the others very well yet. The music continues to be the biggest highlight for me.

I give Successors a B+, it was good, but not that good.

It looks like some movement's finally started in this show. The potential is here to really pick up, and I think (hope) that stuff will get under way.

My main beef is still the soundtrack, because though it has some really nice parts, I'm surprised how rehashed parts of it seems. It was one thing for Yoko Kanno to draw on various influences, it's to draw directly from her previous works (she's done it thematically before, but Wolf Rain is the first time I've ever seen her directly lift from her prior works.)

Ah well, atleast the animation is nice and the play with perspectives is handled freshly.

The series got off to a slow start, but now it's all starting to make sense. And I think it's good that they gave it some time before sending the characters off on the journey.

Pretty interesting episode overall. The resolution of the side story with the pack in the city and the truth about paradise was a welcome plot point. Enjoyed the character delevepment in "Successors" especially Tsume's new enthusiam and pride. Good stuff all around.

Just when they get up to the good part the credits appear...
Life just got harder and pack members went against each other mostly because of that guy who led his friends acidentally into a death trap..
It was good...like every other.. with a short profile on Kiba and attitude arrangement with Tsume

It wouldn't really suit adult Knives. Oh and don't forget Cyborg 009 on... uh, Cyborg 009. He plays alot of brown haired kids, which is odd because most main characters are black haired.

Okay the episode... uh, decent. I liked hearing about "scar face's" past. Kiba is still my favorite... that's about it... B+

Like i said before this episode was pretty awesome but one thing really pissed me off and that was Hige. It was like he could care less about anything except him and food. Hopefully, he dies sometime in the series.

Hige's nose and large appetite gets him into a lot of trouble. Tsume reveals that if even Paradise leads to Hell, he still wants to find it.

It did look like this episode was a waste of time... But a lot of things did happen during this episode and Tsume's statement about search for paradise surprise the heck out of me. I guess once Tsume witnessed how these fallen wolves treated Hige and their pack leader, he realized its better to chase a dream than just give up all hope and rot in that city. Or maybe what Kiba said to Tsume about his own childhood affected Tsume in some way?

Amusing moments I liked: Hige searching for food, finds a piece of sliced mutton lying in the snow, so he goes over to pick it up without much thought. Tsume yelling at Toboe about not thinking straight and making mistakes such as not following the truck.

I am looking forward to the next episode. I wonder what things they will encounter in that tunnel or beyond. Also looks like that Hunter and Investigator are leaving the city.

Screen caps from this episode. (http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wizardgrey/Wolfs%20Rain.htm)

Nice episode, and necessary to provide Tsume a reason for continuing the journey. He has finally realized just what a pack means, and why it's important to wolves. I still see plenty of clashes between him and the rest of the pack in the future, though.

I liked this episode as well. I was surprised to see Tsume actually encourage the trip to Paradise. I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later, but I was expecting later.

I didn't like that vocal song in the middle of the episode, with the seemingly old, drunk, American/Japanese/whatever guy singing. That got annoying.

I, thought this episode was pretty good. The show is really getting better as the weeks progress but if someone doesn't tell that drunk singing guy in the background music to STFU I will go insane.

B+

Glad to see the complaints calming down after the last couple of episodes,

Then again, there hasn't been much talkback neither, that's probably why. People who would've complained just plain stopped watching already.

Anyways, I don't think the soundtrack so far meshes well within the eps. It seemed out of place, particularly the English songs that make it even harder to listen to the English dialogues.

Well this show could turn out better than we thought and so for the people who do stop watching might end up missing out on something awesome.

My love for this series [and Tsume] continues to grow. :D I also didn't expect Tsume to be patron to the hunt for paradise so early on. That was cool and unexpected. Hearing that Kiba saw the lunar flowers as a cub was interesting. I wonder just why a fire broke out. Was it intentional or not? Hige and his love for food is amusing. Toboe, I actually through some chips at the screen and told 'boe to follow and stop panicing.

Also, if anyone has seen all the episodes before can you help me out with this:
I have had suspicions of Blue being a wolf and searched the net for it. Through some Japanese sites, I have seen a fan pic of Blue as a young woman [with Hige] and was wondering... Is Blue really a wolf or wolf/dog as I think she is? And is there something between her and Hige? I don't know enough Japanese to figure that part out. Thanks.

I liked this episode too, but then I again I love them all.

Totally agree about the vocal music. The BGM is great, but the songs clash very oddly sometime, especially some of the laster ones.

wingZombie38, you're in luck. I've seen the whole series before. To answer you're question
Yes, Blue is half wolf. And she and Hige do become sort of an item
