Great episode. It was cute watching Shippou and Kegome cry. Wow. I am a girl so I hate to admit it but Inuyasha is lucky to have a girl like Kegome. Anyway nice conclusion to the two part episode. I can't wait to see next week's. Oh yeh, and there was a hell of a lot of Love in that episode between Inu and Kegome.

I can say this episode to finish the 2 part series and that Kagome was really crying to very very worried in that episode, it almost made me a bit concerned, untill it was a bit fubby after she said sit, but this episode was very strange and stuff.

A very nice conclusion and differed just enough from the manga to keep me interested. Kagome lookin' fine, Inu-Yasha actin' cool, I can't complain.

Wow, Inuyasha and Miroku saw Kagome butt naked and yet neither of them got smacked hard! Thats gotta be a first! And next eppy looks like another Miroku/Sango one, but with Miroku coming to the rescue this time! Somehow I knew this was coming :rolleyes:

I thought it was pretty cool how they got out of the box, but other than that the episode was pretty meh. Next week looks better though. Miroku and Sango are a lot less annoying than Inuyasha and Kagome.

It wasn't too bad a epsoide but for some reason every new epsoide I've seen I missed a little of the begining but tis okay. Good epsoide with the weird man flower. Can't wait to see what Miroku does in the next epsoide.

Somewhat of a "meh" episode, although it did have two LOL moments:

1. Mini-Miroku seeing Kagome naked (good thing Sango wasn't there, or else Miroku wouldn't even live to revert back to his regular size :D ).

2. The ending, with Kagome using the "Sit" command on Inu-Yasha, and Shippo comment concerning it: "Now he's dead."

The Peachman thing was different, in the manga he just fell of the cliff and went splat....no tree took control over him...

anyways I've been buying the Inu-Yasha DVDs(yes there are 17 volumes relased sofar and I have 15 outta the 17) and it looks like that fairly soon the DVDs could surpass the show in episode numbers considering that once a week airing has slowed some things down...

Fateful Night in Tokenjo parts 1&2 and next week's episode are to appear on DVD next month...(amazon says June 29th but other stores like Bestbuy and such do get some titles in before amazon)

Rating the two-parter as one entity, I'd give it high marks - I really enjoyed these last two Saturdays. The next episode preview had me laughing out loud by the end. ;)

As for the manga/anime comparison - yes, there were differences, but nothing to change the overall point of the story. For one thing, Kagome and the others didn't knock a hole in the tiny village wall (in the manga), and the story ended with Inuyasha and the evil guy falling off of the cliff... And that's it. The demon tree was actually at the bottom of the cliff in that story, and Inuyasha winds up in its branches, where he hears the whole concluding conversation at the end. ;) I actually think that was a tad more amusing, since the reader didn't even know what happened to dog-boy until Kagome and the others realized he was alive.

A good conclusion to this 2-parter. Clever how Miroku and Shippo escaped the mini-village. And boy did Inu and Miroku get an eyeful when Kagome stepped out of that potion tub. She looked quite fetching in Inu's robe. It was touching to see how worried and sad she got when she thought Inu might have died in that fall. But then she had to go and "sit" him when he, as usual, acted dense.


By the way,what is it with Japanese schoolgirls and potions? Urasue needed Kagome in her Kikyou-ensouling potion, Monten needed her in his hair-growing potion, and now the Peach Man needed her in his longevity potion. Next on Iron Chef: "Today's theme ingredient - Kagome!" (^_*)

I thought the episode was good,though I liked the manga ending a bit more(after the fall off the cliff,Tokajin dies,and Inu-Yasha wakes up in a tree as his normal self.......the rest is pretty much the same).....though to be fair,Ninmenka(the "demon tree") wasn't in the manga...

Seventeen DVDs have thus been released, making it 51 episodes. Volume 18 will contain episodes 52-54, which include both episodes where Inuyasha learns the Backlash Wave. If that's correct, then volume 19 will include the two filler episodes and the first Togenkyo episode. Cartoon Network will still be ahead by a single episode.

I loved this dvd! Starts off with Fateful Night In Togenkyo, Part 1, Fateful Night In Togenkyo, Part 2, then Beautiful Sister Apprentices. In the first episode Inuyasha goes after a sage (called the peach man in the manga, its really out of order!)and turns into a human! Then in the second episode it finishes with that part (hehe, no spoilers...). Then in the third episode Sango meets two girls at the demon exterminator village and they ask her to teach her the demon-slaying arts. enjoy!!
Note she adds a correction afterwards:

I gotta say, dang that Inu Yasha is a lucky dog. Cute girl like that and she really care about him. They should dump this Naraku gig, adopt Shippo, and start up a family somewhere. Anyway enough of that stuff, back to the episode.

Wow, that was some nice team work between Kagome, Miroku, and even Shippo to bust out of that little prision. That is a lot of hair spray Kagome carries around :)

Very nice ending to this two parter, especially the end. Yup, I also cracked up when Shippo say "Well he's dead now" after Kagome told dog boy to "SIT!". Very cute scene.

It was a great episode but I think part 1 was better, so I give the episode a 4 out of 5. I give it a four because it didn't seem it packed that much action as part 1 did and it keep me in that of suspense. But I it was funnier than part 1 and a little cute. The funny parts of the episode was when Inuyasha bust through that door and saw Kagome full face naked(I wonder did Miroku saw Kagome naked). I was suprised that she didn't use that sit command on him(I think she was a little horny when Inuyasha saw her naked). The other was when they thought Inuyasha died but it turns out he was alive. I mean keep all that commotion and he was right be hide them. I was lol when Shippo was calling him names and stuff. The little cute part was when Inuyasha gave her his kimono jacket without trying to look at her(it was pretty how she made Inuyasha jacket look like a short skirted kimono: the sort of tricked me!:sweat:). One more thing, if I wasn't mistaked, wasn't Miroku and Shippo under Kagome uniform which they were right by Inuyasha and Kagome, why didn't she put on her clothes or at least try to see if her clothes was some were in the room?:sweat: :(

Well, Inuyasha really had to come up with a good episode to end this little 2 parter, after the way they left us hanging last weekend. So what do they do, not only give us a classic Inuyasha becoming half-demon ending, but also some well needed Kagome fanservice!! :anime:

So we have Toukajin who has entrapped still human Inuyasha with some vines and having taken Kagome (once finding out about her from a blabbering Inuyasha) to some kind of spa area and taking off her clothes.. That lucky sage, getting his grubby mits on Kagome.. :o

This enrages as he continues to struggle with the vains, but with the help of the wind tunnel from mini-Miroku, Inuyasha breaks free and somehow loses Toukajin for a bit (forgot how just now :sweat: ) and goes below where he finds Kagome in the spa. Insert Inuyasha sees Kagome's goodies here. Slight embarassment ensues, Inuyasha gives Kagome his jacket to put on her nekkid body, Inuyasha collapses, Kagome runs over the jacket just pressed against her covering her just enough, emerge Miroku and SHippo from Inuyasha's hair, embarassment ensues. :D

So as they try to escape, Kagome refusing to leave Inuyasha's side, Toukajin reappears and they continue their fight. Noticeably weak is Inuyasha, and it is the sage's master, who seeing the ability and pureness of Kagome helps her by using his last bit of power to turn himself into a bow and arrow, which Kagome then uses to pierce the sacred jewel shards in Toukajin's stomach, knocking them free. Toukajin then angrily runs toward Kagome, to which Inuyasha tells her to duck and he jumps into Toukajin knocking them both down the cliff.

As it seems he has sacrificed himself, the Demon Tree acts and uses it's roots to save both men, however for nourishment. The Demon tree engulfs Toukajin and begins to slowly cover Inuyasha with his roots and is about to devour him when the Sun comes up!! Insert Classic Inuyasha turning back to his old self moment here. Inuyasha gives the Demon Tree a taste of his windscar, and wins. The gang meanwhile begin to mourn the loss of Inuyasha by calling him names.. when he appears, joy and tears plus backpeddling from Miroku ensue and a touching moment with Kagome and Inuyasha is how this 2 parter ends.

I give "Fateful Night in Togenkyo Part 2" an A-.

And I agree with True Noir, that it probably wasn't horny, but just the amount of love, especially since at the time she could see he was badly injured. He while hurt might've been.. who knows what that half dog demon likes.. lol. :evil:

I was also pretty surprised when the sage through Kegome's clothes right in front of Inuyasha. I'm surprised Inu didn't react differently.
