Moriarty (AICN writer) lists 34 reasons to Celebrate on his 34th birthday.

and we get-
"16. Adult Swim

Somehow, by trusting a bunch of divinely-inspired loonies in Atlanta, the Cartoon Network went from being just another cable outlet for recycled programming to being one of the premier showcases of modern surrealism. I am amazed that there is a home for something as gloriously <f bomb> up as AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE on TV, and for however long it lasts, we should cherish the notion that the crazies are running that particular asylum."

The end of the list is somewhat self absorbed but it still cool to be sandwiched in between Jim Cameron and Marvel Films on a major site. I guess we are more well known then I thought, I regularly see blurbs about ATHF and Harvey in the media these days.

If that was Harry's quote I wouldn'ta cared, cause he over dramatizes things like taking a walk to McDonalds. However, I respect Moriarty, and that quote "We should cherish the notion that the crazies are running that particular asylum" just brings a smile to my face.

More things should be run by crazy people.

Crazy people + power = Weirdest crap you've ever seen.

Heh, Battle Angel Alita over Adult Swim. That's an anime I haven't heard in a while. :)

I dout they taste good and such, being big and stuff, but I say this praise seems very reasonable ever since they moved it to weeknights Monday through Thursday.

I really like the line "one of the premier showcases of modern surrealism", too. Like Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Sounds like the Nixon administration! :D
