Time: 6:00pm

Your Week of Episodes!

Monday, 5/24/04
The Fugitoid

The turtles zoom through the galaxy onto a strange planet. Slightly confused by their situation they meet a Fugitoid (a fugitive robot) who is being pursude by the military. They resuce him and he tells them his plight... It seems the robot may be more than meets the eye.
Authors Note: This episode is loosely based on the one shot comic put out by Mirage called "The Fugitoid" it fits in between volume 4 and 5 of TMNT Volume 1. The rest of this arc is also adapted from the issues following #5. 4kids skipped around a lot, but it was clearly in favor of not wierding out the audience too early. This arc is a big change from the past seasons nothing but Shredder and filler.

The Trouble with Triceratons

The turtles manage to get Professor Honeycutt (the Fugitoid) away from the military but now they've got an even bigger problem. It seems the Triceraton republic also wants Honeycutt's transportal device and like the Federation, they don't plan on using it in a peaceful way. The turtles try to save Honeycutt but all they manage to do is get trapped on the Tricerton war ship and you can bet whereever they are going... it wont be pleasant.

Wednesday, 5/26/04
The Big House

The turtles manage to survive their stay on the Triceraton warship but they aren't out of the fryer yet... The Triceratons over power them and throw them into jail in order to persuade Honeycutt into building his transportal for them. Don't worry though, the turtles are skilled ninjas. Breaking out of some freaky alien jail will be no sweat... or will it?

Thursday, 5/27/04
The Arena

The Triceraton Prime Leader order the turtles to be sent to "The Games" in order to further persuade Honeycutt to build them the transportal. The turtles will have to battle any number of alien freaks to get through this one but they may just find a friend in one of the other combatents and the leverage they need to exscape from the clutches of the Triceraton Republic.

Friday, 5/28/04
Triceraton Wars

The turtles managed to take the Prime Leader captive and rescue Honeycutt but now they've got to find a way to get home and in a hurry. The transportal would do the job but now both the Republic and the Federation are after them. The turtles get their first space walk trying to hold off both sides while Donatello and Honeycutt try to get the transportal working and they'd better because Honeycutt's final request is to have Leonardo kill him if they are about to be captured. He will not let his device fall into the wrong hands.

NOTES

This show is vastly different from the old cartoons, so if you are seeing it for the first time and have only seen the old show then you may not like what you see, but give it some time… you will not be dissapointed.
This week is the five part begining of season 2. Unforunately this is the last week of premieres for an unknown amount of time but reruns aren't all bad (kinda think of it, these are techincally reruns in the first place).

Well it's been fun making these. I hope you all enjoyed reading them and posting your thoughts. I'll be back when CN premieres more episodes, until then later dudes and dudetes it was a shell of a good time.

PS: I may make a Season 1 + general Talkback for reruns like the Toonami board does for reruns from time to time, but we'll see.

Well Matt made one for Code Lyoko, so I believe we can do the same for TMNT. Then again, CL had more replies in it. I wonder how a CL repeat thread would do.

Don't know. Given these are reruns from the Fox Box and CL was premieres... it's not that big of a suprise that these threads didn't get many responces, but we must fight for our right to party "TURTLE STYLE".

But still, there should of been comments from people who haven't seen the show before. Like me. Then again, I didn't comment that much after the first couple of weeks. I guess I was too busy too. Oh the irony of my previous statement.

yeah I was mostly busy last week to :( I'll be sure to comment on these new to me & CN TMNT eps though!

edit!

sooooo the Turtles beat all their enemies on earth huh? what to do with them next? send them against aliens! not very original but still pretty neat. the fugitoid professor guy was kind of dumb I thought. how can he be scared of heights and some fighting when he realized he is in a strong robot body? the federation leader was real annoying he needs better lines then "catch that fugitoid!" over and over. the Triceriton? baddie at the end seemed pretty threatening moreso then the soldiers so I look foward to the Turtles fighting him.

best moment was seeing an old turtle leading four little ninja splinters hehehe that was cute :) http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif

Simple. Professor Honeycutt isn't a fighter. It's doubtful he's ever engaged in hand-to-hand combat before, and he probably isn't the best in athletics. He'd much rather run away than actually fight.

That and he's a pacifist as he says a some point.

Since this thread is dedicated to posters who may never have seen any of the episodes of this saga, I'll keep my thoughts in spoilers.

The whole "Turtles in Space" saga was a good idea that just really fell apart for me from weak execution. My biggest problem is that we're basically taken out of the "Search for Splinter" plot thread for five episodes (which was a month plus another month of reruns in the original broadcast), but those five episodes don't go anywhere in particular. Turtles meet Fuigitoid, run around with him, get caught, put in a cliched gladitator story, escape...and to top it off, they don't rescue themselves, the Utroms beam them back home. Once they get home, Fuigitoid leaves with the Utroms. Besides the minor payoff of seeing Zog and Traximus later on in season 2, nothing of lasting value is accomplished in these five episodes.

Now a good Ninja Turtles story doesnt necessarily have to accomplish anything (The King, for example), but in this case the trip wasn't entertaining either. They really couldve cut this arc down to three or four episodes, as part 2 was just a continuation of part 1 and parts 3, 4, and 5 could've been compressed a bit. The voice acting is horrible too, especially for the human soldiers.

The only good part of this arc is part 3, where the Turtles take on the Triceratons with cleaning supplies. That was genius, and a bright spot in this otherwise dull arc.

Mikey vommiting is worth price of admition! "The Big House" was clearly the best episode in this arc because it was so entertaining.

Well, I caught the little sneak peak of this show way back in January, and I've been watching since last week. I started with that episode where they break into Shredder's pilot. I actually found the few episodes with them fighting Shredder to be kind of dull for some reason, maybe because I didn't see any of the episodes leading up to it. I was kind of surprised that Shredder's body got up and started walking without a head. That didn't happen in the comics did it?

Nevertheless, I'm actually enjoying this Turtles in Space saga. I actually still have the old Fugitoid and Triceraton action figure. Though, I was kind of confused back when I was a kid because Fugitoid and Triceraton were never in the old show. Though, you did fight Fugitoids in Ninja Turtles 3 for NES. Anyway, I'm enjoying this show, but the dialogues still annoying me. It's so freakin corny.

No. This is where the comics and the new TMNT diverge on the true nature of Shredder, which you'll see later.

this stuff was pretty disappointing and almost generic :( it started off good but nothing seemed real tense or nothing. I think I prefer the turtles staying down to earth...literally! which is where they are headed I hope. the big house was good I liked how they escaped so cleverly an stuff. when the teleportal failed I was really like noooooooo!!! cause I thought it meant this space stuff would go on but luckily they got away :) http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif
