I was watching some of the old Powerpuff and Dexter Lab episodes, and I noticed at the end, it had a Hanna Barbera logo. The newer episodes just have the Cartoon Network Studios logo. I was wondering if CN Studios used to be called Hanna Barbera Cartoons and why they changed the logo?

The PpG shorts "Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins" and "Crime 101" (which first aired in 1995 and 1996 respectively), were part of HB's "World Premier Toons" - later called the "What A Cartoon" show on CN. Both ran to great ratings so CN picked up PpG as a regular series in November 1998. Dexter's Lab also aired a pair of 1995 WPT/WAC shorts before premiering on CN in April 1996.
"Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins" concluded CN's "Space Ghost: Coast to Coast" President's Day special in February 1995, a month before it appeared on WPT. Several animators competed, but Craig McCracken won because only he was willing to appear in a swimsuit ;).

Actually I think the first two seasons of Powerpuff Girls (as well as Dexter, Cow & Chicken, and Johnny Bravo) were all done at Hanna Barbera. In 1999 Hanna Barbera Studios became Cartoon Network studio and moved to a new faculity in Burbank, Calif..
Here is a little bit of trivia: The current Cartoon Network Studios building is actually the mall from the 80's movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Cool huh?
