STORYBOARDER: Chris Reccardi
DIRECTORS: John McIntyre and Randy Myers

SUMMARY: The evil Mask Scara is painting the town red-- with lipstick! Not even the villains are safe? Can the girls put a stop to her annoying yet harmless antics? Is it even a crime?

STORYBOARDER: Charlie BeanI was just about to ask that.

Coincidentally - Buttercup looks like a nightmare right out of a KISS concert. :D

EDIT: And now that the episode is done I have to say this was probably my least favorite. It started out OK and then went on WAAAAAAAAAY too long. You cant convince me that ep wasnt an 11 minute show stretched out to 22.

The filler in this one was just TOO gratuitous. You cant just spread out an ep because you like a gag. In some cases (Uh Oh Dynamo) it works, but in this case nuh-uh. :P

Sorry Ms. Diller but next time you do a cameo role go see the cast of Whats New Scooby Doo and try again later. :P

Why the hell did they make that a 22 minute episode? Did we really need the mural scene or the 2 minutes of laughing? No, we didn't.

Coincidentally, This Episode Was A Nightmare From The Fans Of The First Few Seasons of The Powerpuff Girls:mad:

I'm not saying it was ALL bad (I did get a chuckle of how the girls tried to get Buttercup's makeup off, Mask Scara having to paint up Him's face like a clown since he already wears makeup, and the professor randomly appearing in a dress) but it was mostly bad. I realize that it's just too simple for the girls to just beat up every villian they come across, but sometimes they just think of the STUPIDEST ways to defeat these guys. While not as stupid as Mojo's defeat in "PPG Gees" but still...

Did this episode need to be a half hour? (NO)

Would this episode be better as an 11 minute segment (MAYBE)

Would it be better if this episode was never made? (YES)

That is all.

This is definitely not the best of the Powerpuff Girls it's perhaps one of the worst I've seen... and this is one case where 22 minutes of Computer Assisted animation was a Real waste.

Charlie Bean as the director? Okay 9.8 on the weird scale here..

Mask Scara (who's VA is probably the same one as Miss Bellum) sounds so much like Phyllis Diller in tnis ep..

man Charlie, 22 minutes of Make up Makeovers gone totally wrong here. Totally Sick and Wrong. and I frankly give this one not good marks..

the only redeeming value is the last 1 minute of thise show when Blossom leaves every one laughing.. but that is about it..that and "Him" being Made over as a Clown.. but the rest.. ummm no...not great at all..

Total Score out of 10.. 2.3... that's all I'm going to say about it.. this ep just screams.. Plastic Surgery..or at least a good case of Liposuction.

Not one of the best episodes to be perfectly honest. I think the voice actor for Mask Sacra is the acttress who played as Cruella Deville in the live action version of 101 Dalmations.

Actually, tusconcoyote's assumption was correct. Phyllis Diller was Mask Scara. It's kind of hard to tell since they scrunch down the credits, but it's her alright. Here's her TV history in case anyone is interested:

They *really* need to edit this ep down to eleven minutes, and pair it with a similarly truncated 'Nano Of The North.'

Though, to do it justice, there were a few good moments. Particularly the Townsville bad guys in 'trashy' makeup. And Mask Scara's befuddlement upon confronting Him. And the Charlie Bean in-joke. And the Professor listing similarly irritating events- he's absolutely right about those public restroom faucets.

BTW: Does anyone know the identity of the statue guy? Perhaps some CN bigwig?

Phyllis Diller > All

She should be in more episodes....as a different villain though.

The end with Blossom was just painful. Long, unfunny and unessessary.

The same could be said about the entire episode. What they should of done is have "A Made Up Story" be about nothing happening in the City of Townsivlle, so the Narrator gains creative control and just makes crazy stuff happen. Would of been funnier, at least.

I think the voice actor for Mask Sacra is the acttress who played as Cruella Deville in the live action version of 101 Dalmations.Phyllis Diller was last night's voice of Mask Scara; Glenn Close was the live-action Cruella. However, because of the way Ms. Close wore her hair for 101 Dalmations I can understand your confusion.

Ive not been too happy with some of the new ppg episodes...it seems like they're running out of ideas:sad: It was an ok episode

Caught bits of this on Friday, mainly the ending. Seeing what happened with Blossom, I have to paraphrase a line from "Totally Spies": "Wow. Forced, much?"

Nice work by Phyllis Diller, though.

The only thing that made this ep for me was the gag with Him, cuz as soon as they mentioned the villains were gonna be affected , I had to see what became of Him.

During the back and forth I thought Mask Scara would have fallen in love with Him (which would have made for a truly bizarre, but more fulfilling plot). the clown gag was funny too, but the ep plummetted in quality after that.
