I'm not EXACTLY sure what Forum to Put this in but since I saw it First on Cartoon Network,I'm posting it here. Has anyone ever seen a Funny Space Ghost Cartoon called "Cartoon Planet"? I watched this when I was really little. I could not stop Laughing when I heard Brak sing the Water Song,Highway 40 and I Love You,Baby. I had some Insomnia in me as a Little Kid so I caught that show on TV Very Often. I really miss it. Does anyone else like it?

It's not nearly as funny as SGC2C, but I enjoyed it, mostly for the songs. The skits were pretty childish and didn't have the sophisticated humor of the talk show, but every once in a while it would hit greatness (like the sketch that isn't written. Zorak: "What are we supposed to do? Ad lib?" SG: "No, I think we're supposed to make it up as we go along!")

Cartoon Planet aired in 1995 as a follow-up to Space Ghost Coast to Coast (which started in 1994). The series was arranged like a variety show, and generally aimed at kids. This series featured Space Ghost, Brak, and Zorak as hosts. The set was much brighter and the show had more upbeat songs. This is where Andy Merrill's insanity started as the voice of Brak.
The original songs were so well-loved, the network released two albums of them, "Musical Bar-B-Que" and "Surf & Turf". As much as it was an ensemble cast, I think Brak stole the show. While he did make apperances on "Coast to Coast", the character was thought to steal the limelight even from Space Ghost at times, thus he wasn't always a part of the series. Brak later landed two spin-offs, "Brak Presents the Brak Show Staring Brak" and "The Brak Show".
Overall I think Cartoon Planet was just another experiement for CN back in their early years. The series isn't as polished as Coast to Coast or any of the current Adult Swim fare, but it's classic.
I miss "Brak Presents The Brak Show Starring Brak." :(
