I suppose He-Man would win, but if Lion-O is smart he'll just jump that limpwristed pansy Prince Adam.

He-man's got the edge in brute strenghth, but Lion-O's got the edge when it comes to intelligence, not to mention the various powers of the Sword of Omens, I mean flight, lightning attacks, and the fact it's the only weapon I know of capable of calling for back-up, he-man may be able to take out one thundercat, but all of them? he's strong, but he ain't THAT strong, Skeletor vs. Mumm-ra on the other hand, now THERE's a one-on-one fight I'd love to see

Exactly how is Lion-O smarter than He-Man? He-Man makes use of his immense strength to end things as quickly as he can. How is that dumb? He-Man exhibits strategic thinking plenty of times. The Beginning shows him tricking Skeletor into dipping his sword into lave. Right off the bat with Courage of Adam he lures a giant monster into lava.

The main reason people think He-Man isn't smart is because he's strong. That's not a very good reason at all.

And never underestimate the strength of a man who can hurl a stone tower into escape orbit towards a sun. And this is the somewhat weakened MoTU 2003 version.
