Since it came up in my "Great Moments..." thread, how do you refer to the name of the website by? As one continuous word (like the URL) or as two words?

Or as our hero would put it:

Punctuation!

Toonzone

VS.

Toon Zone

Who Would Wins?

PLEASE DON'T MOCK THIS! It's a legitament question.

Well, since its obviously two words (just look anywhere you see the logo), I go with the CORRECT way and say Toon Zone.

Fight the authority! It's Toonzone!

Toon Zone. It makes more sense.

And don't you think the "who will wins" joke should be put to rest for a while? Use it too often and it'll get stale.

I refer to the site as Toon Zone, but I also use TZ as a shortform.

Of course it's two words! "Toonzone" doesn't even make sense. If it was really "toonzone", you wouldn't use "TZ" as shorthand, you'd just use "T". And that would be silly!

officially it's "toon zone". two words. so, that is what i voted for. but, sometimes i get too lazy to put a space in so i just type "toonzone". sure, it doesn't make sense, but it works

Same. I usually go by TZ (if I'm lazy).

I take the halfway route--ToonZone. One word, two capital letters and therefore could be seperated into two words. Ha! Go me! :D (But I nearly always say TZ, unless someone isn't "in the know".)

Wait, it's not the Too 'N Zone?
People here are soooo 'n the cartoons.
They get too 'n to watching them too closely.
Sometimes they get too 'n to criticizing the toons.
That 's O.K.
Others are too 'n watching they forget to eat or sleep.
They the ones truly 'n the zone.

Toon Zone works better when you want to sing the site's praises to your friends. You don't have to talk about no spaces and all that.

Toon Zone. For the same reasons Brian mentioned... :)

How is this a debate? The creators of this site named it Toon Zone. Two words!!! End of debate. It's the proper way, Dude. Get over it.

I've always called it "that one site I go to frequently".

But in this case, I'll go with Toon Zone.

FredNash

i'm not sure which i refer to it as "IRL", since there's no difference between the way I pronounce "Toon Zone" and "Toonzone"... online I usualy just call it www.toonzone.net (http://www.toonzone.net)

Since I'm always typing "toonzone" in order to get here....it's Toonzone for me!

The same could be said for other sites than. Like my site: Sam's X-Men Site, would you spell it sams-x-men-site because that's how it is in the domain?

Brian Cruz
04-27-2004, 03:35 PM
If the domain is the reason some people use "toonzone", allow me to point out that you can also get here by going to http://www.toon-zone.com/. I'd much rather See Toon-Zone than toonzone!

Oh, I've always thought it was 'Toonz One', because, you know, it's the number One site for 'Toonz'.

Seriously, for some reason, I've always spelt it Toonzone, because I'm used to typing in the URL. I'll try and call it the correct way from now on, though.

Ha!Ha!Ha! Great shot at self-parody.

But seriously, which are tastier, yellow or red M&Ms?

You guys are all wrong, its To-Onzo-Ne, 3 words.

Or if you want to be REALLY specific, I like to call it: "The one forum that you can calmly read without having to wait ages for annoying images to load in the signatures."

Brown, because they're the color of chocolate... unless you're talking about peanut m&m's, then yellow...

Hmmm... the brown M&Ms seem a bit redundant. I think the brighter colors promise more excitement. I agree about those yellow peanut M&Ms. Somehow they just stand out from the pack.

This thread should just be closed. It's getting off topic, and the topic was meaningless anyway.

A forum search proves that I prefer the one-word form in a 44:34 ratio (more simply, 22:17). Obviously, I have not paid much attention to how I said it, but for the purpose of this poll, I must choose the form that I have used more in posts.

Lord Dalek
04-29-2004, 09:20 PM
Call me a blasphemer but I've always reffered to it as one word.

In other news: Green M&M's are the best. And that was not self-satire.

Agreed. This looks far too much like spam/post-count-padding. Thread closed.
