Does anybody know what Disney's new obsession is with John Goodman? He's a talented actor, yes, BUT

he's in TENG, Monsters, Inc. and now

he's Baloo in Jungle Book 2!!

Now, I have no intention of even watching JB2, but why couldn't they try to get the guy who voiced Baloo in Tailspin? If they can get the same Shere Kahn, then they should get the same Baloo.

Fond memories of the Disney Afternoon being thrown out the window....

Um, I hate to be the one to tell you buuuuut....

Because the actor you're referring to, Ed Gilbert, died two years ago?

And he was also in Emperor's New Groove. So?

--he's affable, generous, and easy to work with. A guy like that would be high on my cast list, if I were a producer. Of course, I've heard Bill Shatner is a total horse's butt, but he still gets work because he's a big name. So...what was my point? I had one a moment ago....

Remember, the CGI Pixar flicks are NOT made by Disney... they're just distributed by them.

And John Goodman's no stranger to animation... he did the forgettable "We're Back" about a decade ago.

John Goodman as Baloo.... hmmmm, I have my doubts, but it _could_ work.

I'm just saying, over-exposure (and yes, you can hardly call a couple animated movies, one being DTV, over-exposure) is a bad thing, whether it's a good or bad actor.

And I didn't know the Baloo guy (as a matter of fact, both Baloo actors) died.

Also note that I never said he was a bad actor. On the contrary, I said he's a talented actor. I saw him do an ep of SNL that was hilarious.

Over exposure of an actor is suffered more upon actors whom you actually see in a role. If John Goodman was doing this many live action movies, you bet that would be over expsosure. But he's doing voices for cartoon characters, so I don't think he will have to worry about being over exposed. Unless you hate his voice or something. I don't. But if David Spade started to do alot of animated flicks, then I'd be saying something!
