I don't know about everbody, but I'd like an animated sequel to WHR. Another 13 or 26 episodes would suffice I think. I mean expand a bit on some of the original concepts(like the backstory on Kate). There's tons of stuff they could do. Besides the fact that Rbin and Amon could or could not be alive there's still character stories like Michael's and how he's stuck witth he STNJ until they decide to release him, so that could be a possible side-plot or somthing on his releases from his pact...

What the fans want means nothing to the companies Artie. It's all about ad revenues.

Yes I know...
But almost half of the series is already on DVD...And it's not selling well. Considering the reaction the series got on Adult Swim, it's still not going to be selling well. Sorry Murase-san.

Big O's dvd sales were a factor? I find that hard to believe, with the pathetic amount of extras on the Big O II dvds. Having Dolby Digital 5.1 is a feature, not an 'extra'

What would season 2's sales have to do with it getting made? SEASON 1's sales are what would effect season 2 being made.
Should we start the demanding now?

That sums it up nicely.

No. There is no need for more episodes. Be happy with what we go.
Don't make me use this. (http://venus.walagata.com/w/arxane/Insane.jpg)

I'm speculating that Big O II must not be very profitable, as the Big O II dvd is even less loaded than the Big O dvds. That's where I'm getting the comparison of extras from.
And from the treatment by Bandai of WHR dvds vs Big O II.

Just so you know, WHR DVDs have been selling really well. In fact, all three DVDs that are out right now has been in the best seller list in Animenation. Also WHR DVD 4 is getting a lot of pre-orders.

Personally speaking, I don't think it has much to do with DVDs, since Cartoon Network doesn't even make money from them. What it does have to do with is quaterly ratings. Unless this "Robin" show tops in the timeslot, I wouldn't hold your breath.

But it also (unless there's an uprising in the U.S. like with Big O) depends on how well the show did in Japan.

eh.
While the story and kinda grew on me, the voice acting was just soo bland and dull (Which I don't understand. They had some genuine talent there.) that I really haven't any desire to see them going on in their rather monotoneous conversings.

Despite the unresolved ending, I think 26 episodes is enough for the trench coat convention known as WHR.

Overall, I enjoyed the series, but those who saw the fansubs gave it a lot more credit than it really deserved. Many of the plots just didn't pan out well and the backgrounds were absolutley horrendous at times. Forget new episodes, I'm trying to decide if I want to buy the rest of the DVD's...

I say give it an OVA. Then forget it existed.

I don't think we should even though I thought it was a really cool anime. I really liked the ending and we should probably leave it at that. You don't want it to get an OVa and do terrible and then remember WHR as a terrible show.

Exactly why I like the subtitled version better.

I demand that we don't demand for any more. It was hard enough to stay awake for about half the series.

I'll have to echo this sentiment. They were so obviously struggling to pad out what they had to 26 episodes! How I resent everyone who told me how much better the final group of episodes would be-I was waiting for something unpredictable right up until the credits.

yes... a continuation should be in the works. even if we'd have to wait a couple of years for the next chapters in the life of a ex-nun witch who sets the whole world on fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire..
