I saw that the full "Daft Punk" music video "Interstella 5555" was out on DVD, and since they showed the first four videos on the AS video special, I think it would be great if they played the whole saga!

Here's the French link:
http://labels.interstella5555.net/

You can even buy figures on the Daft Punk web site (soon):
http://www.daftpunk.com/

I'm dyin' to know how it turns out after I saw the first four! I"ll have to splurge and get the DVD. :D

It's possible for a future Adult Swim presentation, depending on content.

The main reason the Toonami Midnight Run SE never re-emerged since its first airing (and encore) is because IIRC it was only allowed to be run at that time period. With the new Toonami it might be different but I think S&P still has issues with, for example, the anti-religious overtones in the Gorillaz videos and such.

But Interstella doesn't seem like it has that much adult content in it. Only question is if it will really appeal to regular viewers. It's pretty quirky.

I am pretty sure those were apart of Toonami and aired at night on the Midnight Run.

Though that doesn't mean Adult Swim couldn't do something similar as filler, but if anything something like that would seem more likely to pop up on the new Toonami block.

It's pretty quirky.Unless you really like Daft Punk, it's kinda gimmicky. I mean, basically, it's a really long music video with a consistant story in it that just happens to be anime. If you don't like the music, there isn't really much point in watching the video. Still, even if you're not big DP fans, it's pretty nice eye candy for the time it lasts.

By the way Squonk, you can get the DVD for around $13 at most Best Buy stores.

Interstella does intriuge me. I'm one of those sadsacks whose fallen in love with Matsumoto's odd visual style, although the repetetiveness of his femaile designs does wear thin at times.

But I also really don't like Daft Punk. So, I'd only watch it if I could watch it legally for free (or a monthly cable bill... which I'm not respsonible for paying, so it's effectively free).

the only real objectionable material I can think of is the nude male (member-less) ghost that shows up toward the end. everything else is pretty sound.

You mean the ghost of Shep?
He had a very low-cut thong on. It'll go fine, you know, after Reign and all. ;)

Yep, gotta love that Interstella! ;)
But on AS?
Gorillaz goes on AS (then they could maybe MAYBE play the REAL lyrics).
That would be nice.
