The Birdman commercials are very disappointing. 12fps? Bobbing heads? Little to no movement? How is this supposed to be "indistinguishable from traditional animation"? God, is it possible for good Flash animation to exist on TV? IS IT, I ASK YOU?! WHY IS IT SO GOD DAMN HARD?! WHY DO FLASH PRODUCTIONS HAVE TO HAVE LESS EFFORT PUT INTO THEM BECAUSE THEY'RE FLASH, WHEN THE PEOPLE INVOLVED CLEARLY COULD'VE DONE MORE?!

It's one thing for This Just In, a show done in 7 days, to be 12 fps and be extremely limited. But Birdman does not have such a limited schedule. So I don't see the problem.

Man the laughing and bobbing looks so bad.... the original show didn't have head bobbing like that! IT'S NOT SEALAB. JESUS CHRIST.

The rants of a Flash animator. What can I tell you.

Dammit... I basically can't not watch the end of Cowboy Bebop when it's on. I'm just glad CB and Witch Hunter Robin are at opposite ends of the Action part of the block... WHR would get killed, Blue Gender style.

Still... Brittle Bullet has ruined that bit with the birds on the roof for me. "I'm a runaway bullet train!"

Now that is some good constructive criticism. It would definitely be nice if the cards were more informative. There is nothing wrong with the cards concept in theory. However, the execution hasn't necessarily lived up to its potential.

So Space Ghost is doing Quiznos commericals now. Now all we need is Space Ghost and the spongemonkies doing a Quiznos commercial together. And how the hell is the mesquite chicken and bacon sub the best seller, that thing is horrible.

And I say bring on Croc and Shark the early years. We can always use more puppets. Hell, put them into the Adult Swim Puppet Party and have a Flying Brak in the mix with them. Maybe that'll go over better.

Sometimes, there's a very good reason why no one else would do this. It's distinctly un-funny. Not to mention it looks shoddy because the mustaches didn't always line up.

Even the letter O isn't safe from the moustache. Unforunately, no moustached Big O or moustaches during the closing credits. :(

I too would love to see some inuyasha fans actually getting angry at this. It would have been better if they waited to do it without warning to the premiere of a new episode, but what can you do...

Actually, those are called Spongemonkeys.

I protest. I claim prior art on the mustache.

All you... um... dammit, what is it the kids call them... oh yes! All you posers, with your johnny-come-lately mustaches. I mean, look at them. None of them are so full and luscious as mine.

Can I buy back my introduction to you?

Nevertheless, I'm disappointed that Big O didn't get a mustache of his own. I've been telling him for weeks that people would take him more seriously with facial hair... even fake facial hair. Ditto on Sesshomaru. And I missed Dorothy?

Overall, I think Big O was the highlight of the shaggy-face revolution, what with it being a Dastun episode, and better than half the faces in this episode already having mustaches. The highlight, that is, besides seņor flemenco dancin' crow and Kagome's extremely fetching pipe.

Did you know that you haven't stopped talking since I came in here? You must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle.

I have to admit that I liked the mustaches added to the action shows. I was thinking Kosaka's Hitler Mustache would've been erased or altered, but I was wrong. Nice touch with the mexican hats on the crows, though.

EDIT: TOOL OUT KILL JOKE SINCE OF MY REPLIES IN THE OTHER FORUM.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to bed at 12:00 and forgot about about April Fool's until yesterday, then forgot, so I didn't think of watching AS for anything NOR set up any pranks yet!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH-

I can ONLY HOPE I know someone who taped this. It won't be the same since I'd be anticipating it, but C'MON, ANIME WITH OUSTACHES!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?123456789 You can't argue with Big O and facial hair :p

ALSO this board has really got me in the mood.

THAT, or the flashing images are telling me with sublimilal messaging to create advance tech to make my own Big O. Or Dorthory. I'll go with my own Dorthory.

Im gonna make this quick since I may be blinded in short order by the FLASHING ADULT SWIM FORUM.

The April Fools stunt was well played. Honestly something as simple and juvenile as mustaches, hats, and eye glasses on the characters (and some objects) was fantastic. Even chuckle out loud at some points.

So Family Guy and Futurama didn't have the 'stashe stuff happening during the 11PM hour right? I forget, cause I saw that they did during the 2AM showing. I didn't see much of Family Guy, but Leela with two pupils was funny. Too bad they didn't make Bender look like Flexo...

I'm not the only one that saw that though, right? Or taped it, right?

I haven't been able to watch TV in the longest buy managed to watch Adults Swim this morning. The mustaches prank has got to be the funniest thing AS/CN have done in the longest time! :D I loved it. As big of an Inu fan I am, I thought they under-did it. I really expected them to go all out because of some of the show's fans. So many opportunities they didn't take. For example the part where Kohaku was drawn in with no eyes. They could have seriously made that look funny with their drawn in eyes and stuff but they didn't. :(

It was also nice to see the past midnight airings of Family Guy and Futurama did have the pranks done.

edit: almost forgot. I was very surprised to see that they showed the going to commercial and comming back from commercial clips thingies on Inuyasha from the original Japanese. I think they did it on purpose.

I'm bored, so I thought I'd put up last night's Apri Fool's cards...=]

It's the end of March.

And we all know
what that means.

It's time to set the
clocks back.

Daylight Saving Time
starts tonight.

Don't forget to
"spring back" one hour.

Which is actually a bonus,
when you think about it.

That's an extra hour you
can use to watch Adult Swim.

Or make a scale model
of acient Rome.

We don't care
how you use it.

Actually, we're lying.

We'd sure love to see
that model of Rome.

--------------------------------------------

Daylight Saving Tine
was first suggested

by Benjamin Franklin
way back in 1794.

But the idea didn't catch
on until the 1900's.

The U.S. started using DST
during World War I

in order to conserve
energy for the war effort.

It didn't become standard
until the passage of the

Uniform Act of 1966, which
set the dates DST begins and ends.

Arizona, Indiana and Hawaii
do not use Daylight Saving Time,

so viewers in those states should
not "spring back" tonight.

You can find more reliable information
about DST on the World Wide Web.

You just need an inquiring mind
and an internet dealie.

[adult swim]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's almost time to
"spring back."

Well the re-airs of FG and Futurama had staches last night/morning if that's anything to say. That would be cool if they did it for at least Family Guy & Futurama tonight as well. :p

Like i said earlier, first time in awhile I watched all of a weekday AS and enjoyed it.

The show's cheesy staches were so funny. In every show you could go "Excuse me sir, you've left your mustache behind."
