The opening scenes were not on the toonami airing..

Is this a repeat of the first episode, aka the part of the Duel Masters movie that was serious and boring and would become a parody of the source material later on?

I missed it on Toonami and went into it not knowing what episode it was, but knowing it will get funny at least next week.

What can I say? A paint-by-the-numbers commercial for a Yugioh ripoff with sterotypical main characters with problems abotu not winning every time, high-pitched annoying sidekick, and cheerleader friend. Didn't hate it, just, eh...

Here's hoping for da funny next week!

Toonami aired the first three episodes of Duel Masters as a 90-minute movie, as they did with He-Man [2002] and Transformers: Armada. The episode that aired tonight is the first episode of the series.

Then come next weekend, let the fun begin! :D or, uh, something...

I know it premiered last week and it only got major reviews due to being funny with the other episodes (not to mention He-man faced the same problems when reviewed in the Toonami board after a SVES showing the prior week), but seriously, NOONE else is reviewing? :confused:
