Given the way the episode ends, what with the house suddenly turning dilapidated and all, I assume that even though she beat Grim at his own game her body still died. It's just that when she passed on Grim lost the right to take her soul to wherever it was destined to go. Thus her spirit got to stay and haunt the house for as long as she wants. Or something.
